Steve was still trying to process the scene he'd walked in on when Kate and Bucky arrived. Normally, he was more focused when it came to missions and other situations of the like, but this was different. This was Hazel. And if the men who had taken her had killed her fiancé, he couldn't help focusing more on her than anything else at the moment. "He's Hazel's fiancé. She was coming here to break off their engagement so that we could be together. She was supposed to come back to mine and Sam's afterwards. I knew she was gone for a while, but I just figured that he didn't take her calling things off well, but then she called me...she called me and said that I'd find what I need next to the roses." He rushed over to where the vase of roses sat on the table. He'd almost forgotten about what Hazel said over the phone. There, he found a handwritten note. It was Hazel's handwriting.
Kate didn't like what she saw when they got to Hazel's apartment. She knew the guy laying dead was her fiancé, she'd met him on a few brief occasions, though she didn't really know him all that well outside of him being Hazel's fiancé. She could tell that Steve was beside himself, and clearly wasn't thinking over all of the details, so she was glad that Bucky had asked a bunch of questions, so that they could try to figure out what was going on here. "What does it say?" She asked when Steve picked up a slip of paper on the table by the roses. "It's from Hazel....she said that Tony would be able to find her...what does that mean though?" He asked. "Howard designed trackers for all SHIELD agents back when it was first established. He created them so that if an agent went missing, they could be found. Hazel must hope that Tony can reactivate hers...and if he can, then we should be able to find her." Kate said.

Bucky let out a sigh as he ran his fingers through his hair. This wasn't good. Not only was Hazel missing likely because someone was trying to draw out him and Steve, but now they were likely going to involve Tony Stark. It wasn't that Bucky didn't like Tony it was just that he and Tony didn't see eye to eye on well anything really. Plus Bucky felt like Tony just made things worse. However, if he was Hazel's only chance right now Bucky knew they were going to talk to him even though that would be hard. It'd be harder if they didn't though.

"Well, I guess we're paying Tony a visit then?" Bucky asked wondering how exactly that was going to work. "How's that going to work exactly? I mean none of us are exactly on good terms with him right now. We're also not exactly on the government's good side either which makes things worse. Oh, yea and I'm sure it wouldn't go over well if he saw me there given I doubt he's over the whole incident," Bucky said knowing that Hazel's life was on the line here and that wasn't something that sat well with Steve, so Bucky wouldn't be shocked if his friend talked to Tony. He'd more shocked if he didn't really. He did wonder though how it was all going to play out. Before Steve had the chance to answer though a phone started to ring, and it sounded like it was coming from the dead fiancé's phone which couldn't be good.

Bucky leaned over to pick up the phone and see who it was assuming it was his mother or something but the number was unknown which only added to the tension. "It's an unknown number," he said knowing that couldn't be a coincidence.

Kate knew that the last thing Bucky wanted to do was face Tony Stark right now. She knew what had happened in Siberia, and she doubted that the billionaire would be pleased to see him. Of course, she hoped that differences could be put aside so that they could help Hazel, but she did know how stubborn Tony could be at times. "If you want, I can give Tony a call, and sort of explain things to him first. I'm sure he knows that if anyone was going to be in contact with you two it would be me or Hazel, so I doubt it will come as too much of a surprise when I explain the situation to him. He's less likely to screen my call if he sees my number come up."

Steve frowned slightly when Kate explained the whole tracker business to him. He wasn't surprised that Howard had come up with something like that. His old friend was always thinking of everything it seemed, and it seemed as though that might be their only hope of finding Hazel right now. When Kate offered to give Tony a call, he shook his head. "I understand where you're coming from, but I need to be the one to ask Tony for the favor." He said before he heard a phone start ringing. He watched as Bucky picked up Hazel's fiancés phone. He took the phone from his friend and was quick to answer it. "Hello?"

Bucky was really curious as to who was calling the man on the floor. Was it someone he knew looking for him? Or was it whoever took Hazel with some kind of ransom? And if it was the men who took her how the hell did they actually have this number or even know that they'd be there? Though that seemed a little stupid because this entire place had likely been bugged, for all they really knew someone could be watching them right then there really. And honestly, even though the thought crossed his mind Bucky wouldn't be shocked if it was the men who took her. He wouldn't be shocked if they had something already planned that Steve was playing right into.

"I'm fine for now, but they wanted you to know that this was HYDRA and that they'll make sure we never see each other again if you involve the Government," Hazel told him trying to remain calm because she didn't want to cry, she didn't want to break down and make Steve worry about her more than he probably already was. She knew that she had to be strong right now because that was how she was going to make it through this. Surely she could come up with something to save herself if she really had to. She was an agent for crying out loud. Hazel had totally gotten herself out of situations like this before, so she could do it again if she needed to. She just needed the time to actually come up with something. "I can take care of myself, please be careful," she said hoping to get as much to him as she could before one of the men took the phone from her and began to speak. "We'll be seeing you soon I'm sure Captain Rogers. And like the lady said don't involve the government otherwise you'll never see your little girlfriend's pretty face again," he said before he hung up clearly knowing fully well that Steve would figure out where she was soon enough.

Steve was so relieved just hearing Hazel's voice. He was glad that she was okay at least for right now, and as much as he hated to admit it, he wasn't at all surprised when she told him that this was all Hydra's doing. "You can assure them that the government won't be involved. Everything's going to be fine, doll." He told her. "I know that you can, but you don't have to." He knew that Hazel could hold her own, but he was still worried, because now Hydra had her, and god only knew what they would do if he didn't do as they asked or they didn't execute their own plan properly. They really needed to tread carefully with this. When a man's voice spoke next, his expression hardened slightly, but he didn't make a comment because the Hydra agent had hung up. "Hydra has her." He told Bucky and Kate.
Kate didn't like to admit it, but she really wasn't surprised when Steve told her and Bucky that Hydra had Hazel. She honestly felt like she already knew that. The bad feeling that she had in the pit of her stomach made so much more sense now. "We need to figure something out now then." She said. "I hate to admit it, but I think that Hazel was right in leaving that note. We're going to have to ask Tony for his help with this one." There were a ton of Hydra bases and other facilities they could have taken Hazel to, and without a way of tracking her, there was no real way of finding out where she was. Tony Stark was really their only hope.

[Did we want to skip in the next post to when they actually get to where Hazel is?]

Bucky wanted to say that talking to Tony had gone perfectly and now they were all friends again no questions asked. But that would be a lie. Yes with the help of Tony they were standing close enough to the HYDRA facility trying to come up with the best course of action on how to get inside and remove Hazel without any hiccups. They'd also as far as Bucky knew actually followed the rules and no one had involved the Government, which he was actually thankful for because as much as Bucky wanted to save Hazel for Steve's sake even he knew that involving government wouldn't be good for anyone. His only issue really was how everything was going to work out afterward, and if they were ever going to actually come up with a plan. "Okay, so what's the actual plan here?" Bucky asked honestly getting a little nervous about the entire situation. He hadn't been around actual HYDRA agents in a while so that was bad, plus he had no idea what these agents knew or didn't know. He didn't know their plan or if they suspected that he'd be there or not, he certainly didn't know what other stressors could be inside the building, and that bothered him. The last thing Bucky wanted was to revert back to The Winter Soldier because he didn't know what might happen to him if he did. So he tried to remain optimistic about the situation, but nothing could make him not nervous at this point either.
"Your little boyfriend's going to come try and rescue you, and when he does we'll be ready for him," Hazel heard one of the men say to her before he picked her up and threw her over his shoulder to carry her somewhere else. "Put me down damn it," she said trying to hit him with her elbows but it didn't even seem to be phasing him. Which she wished she could be shocked by this, but these were HYDRA agents and they'd never been easy to take out. "It's adorable that you think you can take us both out singlehandedly, but you're not getting anywhere. Now you're going to remain here and shut up. Because I don't want to have to hurt a pretty face okay," he said before he laid her on the ground and hooked something up to the ropes binding her wrists together. "You're not going to get away with anything. You can't even possibly be sure he'll actually show up alone, and even if he does do you really think he'll let either of you actually leave here alive? You kidnapped the woman he loves, after all, that's kind of a big deal," She said hoping maybe they'd reveal even just a little bit of their plan to her. "Oh, we know how much he cares for you. He'd never let any harm come to you even if it meant giving up himself to save you. We're also sure he's not alone. There's no way he could've found you without help, after all, believe us. Your little boyfriend's playing right into our hands,"

"Yeah, what's the plan, Cap?" Sam asked. Thankfully, Tony had helped them track down where Hydra was keeping Hazel, but he didn't go past that. Steve wasn't at all surprised, nor had he been suspecting Tony to help them at all. He was glad that he had, and hopefully he wouldn't mention seeing any of them to the government, because, well, that would sort of defeat the purpose of not involving the government in this, and the last thing he wanted to do was put Hazel's life in jeopardy because of his feud with Tony Stark. "I'll go in first. They're expecting me, so if you three follow in afterwards then we might be able to take them by surprise. Sam, I want you to come in a few minutes after I do. Bucky and Kate, stick together and follow in after Sam. If you hear anything over the comms that seems off, get the hell out of there as soon as you can."
Kate was glad that Tony had at least helped them determine Hazel's location. This could have easily been a dead end, and she really didn't know how they would have located where she was without Tony's help, whether she cared to actually admit to that or not. She listened as Steve explained the plan to them, glancing over to Bucky briefly during Steve's explanation. He was good at hiding it, but she could tell that he was nervous, and she really didn't blame him at all. Hydra had done horrible things to him, and now he was about to face some of the very people responsible for the torture he had endured over the years. "Should we separate once inside?" She asked. "Do you want Bucky and I to take a certain part of the facility?"

Hazel had never been quite as scared as she was right now. A lot of different things hung in the balance right now though. Her life, Steve's life, their future, Bucky, Kate, and Sam's lives. Because she knew as much as the next person who knew them that there's no way Steve came alone, he'd have back up, and while Hazel could appericate everyone coming together to help her, she hated putting her friends in danger like this. She hated the feeling she had in the pit of her stomach about this entire situation. Steve was likely walking right into a trap and likely bringing his best friend into the same trap all to save her, and she didn't like. "What do you even want with us?" Hazel asked really hoping to figure out why they'd even taken her in the first place. Though she felt like they wouldn't tell her, it never hurt to ask and see if they were just stupid enough to talk. "Let's just say that your little boyfriend's going to be an excellent addition to our team," one of the men said as he held her face in his hands. Then he stood up and and hit some button that began to raise her up off the ground leaving her dangling there probably hoping she'd die there. This could not be happening. There has to be a way out of this was all she could think to herself.
Bucky looked over to Kate as she asked if they should seperate and he really didn't want to. He didn't mind busting into this place and taking out some HYDRA agents, especially after everything they'd put him through, but he didn't want to put himself in to much jeporady either by ending up alone somewhere and ambushed or something insane. Because the last thing he wanted, or anyone needed, was for him to be turned back into The Winter Soldier. "I'd prefer if we didn't split up if I'm being honest," he said knowing his limits and this was one of them. He just really hoped that Steve was okay with that. Bucky didn't want to let his best friend down, or even Hazel for that matter since she did mean so much to Steve, but he also knew that he did have to take care of himself or he wasn't any good to anyone. "If we really need to seperate though we can," he added hoping that didn't happen really, but it was a possibility they'd need to, in which case Bucky would do his best to be okay for that period of time.

Kate could understand why Bucky wouldn't want to separate. None of this could be easy for him right now. She only really knew the very tip of the iceberg of what Hydra had done to him while he was under their control, so she wouldn't split up if he didn't want her to and if Steve didn't think it was a good idea. "I think we should stay in pairs." Steve said, causing the brunette to nod. "You and Buck stick together, and Sam and I will stick together." Strength in numbers probably was a good idea anyway, and now there was just hoping that the pairs didn't get separated in their either. "You two give us the signal then, and we'll follow you in." She said.

"If there's any trouble along the way, we'll let you two know." Steve assured them, knowing that Hydra had impacted both of his friends quite a bit. They had effected Bucky more directly of course, but they had also effected Kate. She had lost her fiancé because of them, though it appeared as though things had taken a change for the better. It wasn't hard to see it at all, Steve wasn't blind. He'd seen the gentle touches to Bucky's arm from Kate, and his friend's fingers lacing with the brunette's on a few occasions as well. He was glad. They deserved a second chance. He only hoped that he would get his second chance with Hazel as well. "Let's go, Sam." He said before starting towards the entrance of the facility.

Bucky was honestly thankful that Steve saw the benefit of them staying in pairs as well because he really didn't want to have to split up. They were entering a HYDRA base after all, and Bucky had no idea what was waiting for them on the other side of the doors which made him nervous by itself. He wasn't going to bail either though because the woman his best friend was in love with was also on the other side of those doors. All Bucky could hope for right now was that somehow everyone on their side would come out of this alive and mostly unharmed. He couldn't have cared less about what happened to the men who'd taken her though. He nodded his head in understanding and then watched Steve run towards the building with Sam.

Hazel, on the other hand, was hanging there trying to think through her situation. There had to be a way out of this. There had to be some way for her to get herself unhooked for starters and back on solid ground, and then also for her to untie herself. She was a SHIELD agent for crying out loud. She'd been trained for situations like this. But actually putting all of her training into action was a little harder. Especially when it was something she'd been trained on eighty years ago almost but had never really had to use until now. So it was hard to figure out how she could save herself just in case Steve didn't show up, and even if he did it'd be nice to not be held hostage so she could attempt to help stop the men from being able to do this again. breath and think. she thought to herself as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then when she reopened them she looked around herself just to see if there was anything close enough that she might be able to use to her advantage, and that's when a plan came to her mind. She didn't know how well it was going to work, but she'd find out.

"We're going to be alright. All of us." Kate said, almost as though she could read Bucky's mind and knew what he was thinking. But she couldn't, and her words were meant to comfort herself and the somewhat pessimistic thoughts running through her head. They really didn't know how many Hydra agents were waiting for them inside of the facility. Honestly, they had no idea what they were walking into at all, and there was no way of knowing what the outcome was going to be, and that was really fucking scary. "How many hostiles are we looking at right now, Rogers?" She asked over the comms, wanting to know what she and Bucky would be following them into very shortly.
Steve knew very little about what he was walking into right now. He knew that Hazel was somewhere inside though, and that truthfully was all that he needed. He knew that this was all likely some sort of a trap, why wouldn't it be when it was Hydra that they were dealing with, but he didn't care. He'd take down however many Hydra agents that he needed to, or die trying, if it meant that Hazel would be safe. He didn't want to die though, not when he had only just gotten her back, and he knew that thinking this way wasn't the best idea, but if it came down to it he was ready for it. "Sam and I just took out four of 'em. There's definitely more. We're going to head towards the south side of the facility." He said over the comms.

Bucky really hoped that Kate was right, he wanted to believe that she was. He really wanted to believe that they were all going to come out the other side of this thing fine with no setbacks. So he refused to let anything stop him from believing that. Because if he stopped believing they would all be fine he knew he'd lose himself, and now was not the time for him to lose himself. "I guess we're taking the other side then," he said glancing over at Kate knowing that any minute they were going to running into the building. Hopefully, Steve could find Hazel and they could get in and out without much of a hassle. Though Bucky knew that one was indeed a long shot.
Hazel noticed that there was little ledge not too far from her, not exactly reaching distance without her working for it, but close enough that she felt like she could swing to it if she had to. And she had to. So that's what she did. Hazel mustered up all of her strength to swing herself towards the ledge where she was hoping to be able to stand comfortably if she could also scoot whatever she was hanging from with her. From there she'd figure out how to untie her hands. Really she just needed something to stand on because she knew if she hung there long enough without anything under herself for too long she wouldn't make it. Because eventually everyone became weak to keep pulling themselves up to breath, and Hazel didn't want that. She did not want to die in here. And she'd do whatever it took to save herself from that.

Kate didn't know who she was trying to convince: herself or Bucky. Maybe both. She just needed to believe that they all were going to come out of this unscathed. She couldn't think about the negatives, or the possibility that that might not actually happen. Not when she had just really got Bucky back. Not when Steve and Hazel were finally supposed to be a thing again. No. This was all going to work out in the end. She and Bucky were finally going to get the life together that they deserved. She was going to continue to help him remember. "I guess so." She said. "Let us know when you're ready for us, Steve." She looked over to Bucky. "We're going to be fine. We have to be fine. We're together again for a reason."
Steve knew that they didn't have much of a plan at all. He didn't know what they all were going to find in the building, or if Hydra had ulterior motives. He knew that they wanted him there, quite obviously, but he didn't know what else they had up their sleeves. And he had his friends there with him, risking their lives to help him. After taking out a couple of hostiles, he glanced over to Sam. "I'll head towards the center of the building, see if I can find her. You should meet up with Kate and Bucky. I don't know what they're walking into on the other side of the building." He told his friend before giving his friends the go-ahead for the north side.

Bucky never heard Steve say it was time to head in, and when he heard Sam over the comms say he’d found Hazel he wasn’t sure what to. Did they head into the building and help or was this almost over. “What do you need from us?” He finally replied taking Kate’s hand in his own and giving it a small squeeze. “Everything’s going to work out just fine,” he told her hoping it would help calm both of their nerves really. Because he knew neither of them were going to leave Steve hanging, but they were both also extremely nervous because this was HYDRA they we’re dealing with. And HYDRA had taken so much from them already so Bucky really didn’t want them to take anything else.
Hazel tried her very best to reach the stupid ledge, not that it was working out for her very well. And she got so caught up in trying to save herself she hadn’t even taken the time to scan the room for anyone else. She also was running out of breath from working for this stupid ledge. “I think I found Hazel.” Sam said over the comms. “So do we have a plan to get up there or are we just winging this?” He asked getting a bad feeling again. Everyone could tell that this entire situation was messed up, but it was feeling more and more like a trap. And honestly it almost seemed to easy which was never good. But either way Sam wasn’t going to back down or run away. He was there to help his friends.

[ hope this was okay! Lol. ]

Maybe Kate was too lost in her own thoughts. Maybe she was focusing her attention on the man beside her, taking in the fact that he was really there, that he really was remembering her more and more, and that he remembered how he'd felt about her, and apparently still felt about her, and the last thing she wanted to do was risk losing him again. Maybe that was why she hadn't heard Steve over the comms either. It wasn't until she heard Sam over the comms that she realized that she and Bucky had both been standing outside of the building for quite some time now. "Tell us where you need us, boys." She said over the comms, lacing her fingers through Bucky's when he reached over and took her hand. She brought his hand up to her lips, pressing a kiss to the back of it, and nodding in acknowledgment of what he had said. They'd be fine. Nothing was going to happen. They'd be back at her apartment in no time at all, and could talk things over fully.
Steve was so focused on finding Hazel that he didn't even realize that he hadn't received a response from Kate or Bucky when he instructed them to enter from the north side of the building. He was starting to get frustrated as he hadn't seen Hazel once, though he had encountered a few more hostiles, and he was certain that Hydra knew that they were there. They were probably starting to run short on time, which caused an instant wave of relief to course through his body when Sam spoke over the comms and said that he thought he had found Hazel. "What's your location, Sam?" He asked before responding to both Bucky and Kate. "Enter through the north side of the building. Once Sam gives us his location, head in that direction."

Bucky gave Kate's hand a small squeeze before they were heading inside the building from the North and towards Sam's location. He was honestly thankful that someone had found Hazel fairly quickly. So far things were going well and maybe they'd be in and out. "We're on our way now," he said just to give Steve and Sam the heads up. He wasn't sure how many men they'd have to fight off, but he hoped it wasn't too many. Just like Bucky really hoped that this didn't go south. He knew that Steve needed this to go well because he'd only just really gotten Hazel back and they were apparently planning on making things work out somehow, but Bucky also needed this to go well. Because Bucky had just gotten himself back, and really not even all the way. He was still very much in the process of figuring things out, and he didn't want to spiral out of control or lose himself, or worse Kate or Steve.
Sam sent his location over the comms and then figured he'd try and come up with a plan to actually get to her so when everyone arrived in a matter of moments they'd at least have something to go off of. "You okay up there Hazel?" he called to her hoping not to be too loud as to give himself away, but also hoping he was loud enough for her to hear him.

Hazel looked down in the direction of her name when she heard someone talking to her, and she couldn't help but feel relief when she saw Sam. Because she knew that meant Steve wasn't far behind, and that she wouldn't be up there much longer. It was worrisome that they were there of course because she knew that HYDRA had something planned and they'd all walked right into it. But maybe somehow Steve and Sam and whoever else was there were all really one step ahead of HYDRA. Maybe there was no real reason for her to be worried. She couldn't be sure of that though. Honestly, Hazel wanted this all to work out so well that in a matter of moments she was on her way home and her friends and Steve were all safe. "I'll be a lot better when we're leaving this place," she replied knowing everyone likely felt that way.

Kate honestly just hoped that they sorted things out and got Hazel out of there as quickly as they possibly could. She didn't want there to be any hiccups or surprises along the way, but she knew that wasn't realistic in the slightest, and that was honestly what scared her the most. Once she and Bucky had received Sam's location, she entered the building by his side, unsure of what they were walking into. There were bound to be some hostiles, and there were some, so that wasn't all that surprising to her in the slightest. "We're in pursuit." Kate said over the comms, though it was apparent that something had gone wrong. Before she could say anything over the comms though, a man that was certainly not Steve or Sam started speaking in a slavic language. It sounded like Russian, and though she didn't know what was being said, it only seemed to be words, not actual phrases. She didn't know what was going on, but she knew that something was wrong, especially when Bucky let out a scream of pain and grabbed his head, as if trying to stop someone from getting into it. "Jamie? Jamie, what's wrong?"
Steve was headed towards Sam's location when he heard it. The comms seemed to cut out for a moment before it started. He could hear words being spoken in Russian and recognized them quickly as ones that had been spoken to activate the soldier within his best friend's mind. Hydra was trying to bring the soldier out. Kate had never witnessed the soldier firsthand, and she likely didn't know what was going on. When she heard Kate over the cons once more, and heard Bucky's screams, his thoughts were confirmed. "Kate! Kate, you need to get Bucky out of there right now! They're getting into his head, get him out of there now!" He knew that this was meant to be a distraction from Hazel, and it was, but he also knew that he wouldn't be able to get there to help in time. The soldier would have been activated already.

Bucky let out a scream and covered his ears. "Get out of my head!!" He said falling to his knees and holding his head trying his very best to keep the soldier at bay. He honestly wasn't sure how long he could hold him off though. "Ahh!" He let out another scream. Honestly, this was why Bucky had been so nervous so come tonight. Of course, he was there because he wanted to help his best friend save the woman he loved. But he had been nervous because they were going up against HYDRA and Bucky knew that he was still very vulnerable to things. This, however, wasn't what he was expecting. "Someone is trying to bring out the soldier, and I don't know if I can hold him off much longer," Bucky breathed praying that Kate could help him get out of there asap because honestly, he didn't trust himself to get out of this place alone.
Hazel wasn't sure what was going on below her with everyone else, but she did hope that everyone was okay. Honestly, the last thing that Hazel wanted was for her friends to get hurt all trying to save her because was she really worth it? "Don't worry up there Hazel, we're working on getting you down," she heard Sam say as she also saw him running around trying to find a button most likely, or really something that could get her down. "I'm fine," she replied softly because she had a feeling that this mission to save her wasn't going the way anyone had planned. "Where's Steve?" she asked sighing softly and hoping that she'd see him soon. She just hoped he was okay.

[ I hope this reply was okay Lol. Also, I've replied to both Thor roleplays tehe ]

Kate was at a loss for what she was supposed to do. She knew going into this that they were both putting themselves into danger, and she also knew that this was likely some sort of a trap, but she wasn't going to let Hydra take him from her again. She'd just gotten him back, and she'd be damned if she let them snatch him away from her yet again. Needless to say, it frustrated her beyond belief that she couldn't think of what to do at first. "C'mon. I know you won't hurt me, I trust you, Jamie. If you let me, I can help get you out of here. Just focus on my voice, okay?" She offered him her hand. "There's gotta be a closer exit somewhere here." She knew that getting him out of there as quickly as possible was pretty damn pertinent. It was just a matter of finding a closer exit.
Steve was relieved when Sam came over the comms and told him that he had found Hazel. He'd been so worried going into this that he'd be too late. He knew that it was irrational for him to think that way considering he knew going into this that it was some sort of a trap for him. But it was clear to him now more than it had been before that the real reason they'd taken Hazel was to lure Bucky out of hiding. They didn't want Steve, they wanted his best friend, and Steve could only hope that Kate would be able to get him out of there before they managed to bring the soldier out in him again. "Sam, state yours and Hazel's location. Kate and Bucky are compromised. It's down to us to get her out of here."
