The Hunt.

Audrey

The last thing I remembered as I started to stir was looking over at Maria and the fear that burst inside of me when I watched Matt cover her mouth to silence the scream that she let out. I seemed to realize that the same thing was about to happen to me because before I could even make a noise, a hand was covering my mouth. Groaning as I rolled onto my side, my entire body went rigid at the sound of a dark chuckle behind me. Opening my eyes, I was met with the sight of Zacky crouching with a shotgun in his hand. My eyes widened, my stomach twisting into a firm knot.

"Better get up, little girl. The longer that you lay there, the shorter head start that you get," he said, causing me to frown as confusion sparked inside of me. Zacky tapped his finger against his gun before motioning toward the woods that surrounded us. "Run!"

I had no clue what I was supposed to do, no clue what was coming my way but I realized that I needed to run. There was something eerie about Zacky's smile. Pushing to my feet with a grunt, I started running full force ahead toward the woods. I was thankful that I had been in track during high school because I had learned how to run long distances, I could only hope that would get me far enough away from Zacky that I could get some sort of help.

Matt

Splitting up from Zacky to separate our girls, I pulled into one of the many clearings on our land. Flicking the end of my cigarette as I climbed out of my truck, I walked around to the back of it. I unlatched the tailgate before hopping up onto it and sitting casually with my shotgun on my lap. Maria was starting to come to and I smirked, looking out into the woods that surrounded us. I started to whistle lowly, waiting until I heard Maria let out a sharp gasp to speak.

"Maria, Maria," I called her name lowly, tossing my now spent cigarette onto the ground. I hopped down, crushing it beneath my foot. "Might want to gain your bearings and run, darling. Because," I paused long enough to turn around and to face Maria. Leaning against the side of my truck, I smirked.

"Because the longer you lay there, the smaller of a head start you have on me," I spoke, lifting the gun up and setting it gently down on the edge of the truck bed. "Unless you just want to give in now. Maybe I'll go easy on your if you do.." I trailed off, shrugging my shoulders. Lifting my gun up, I pumped in while fixing Maria with a hard gaze.

Maria

Just beginning to wake up, the sound of Matt's eerie whistling was enough to send jolts through me. I heard dashing footsteps and could only imagine that was Audrey sprinting away as fast as she could. I held my head, the back of my skull aching.

I got to my feet and rubbed my eyes, the woods spinning, my vision was not on my side. I barely gave Matt a glance over my shoulder before I took off. I was nowhere near as good of a runner as Audrey, but hopefully I could do good enough to get away from this psycho.

Once the truck was out of my vision, I didn't slow down, but I opened my mouth to choke out for Audrey, but it was like something had my tongue. It was probably better I kept quiet anyway. I looked around the forest, having absolutely zero idea where I was and there was no sign to hint to me at which way Audrey may have went.

Zack

Zacky grinned, throwing his shotgun over his shoulder by it's strap and pulling out a long, shiny hunting knife. "So... how long of a head start do they get?" He laughed, once both of the girls where out of their sight. Zacky would go for his shotgun, if it was necessary, but he usually just used it as a scare tactic. He liked to kill his prey slowly and as painfully as possible, he liked for it to be more personal. Which is why he liked to opt for his knife. "She's thirsty." Zack laughed as he jumped down from the bed of the truck and spun the knife around in his hand.

The boys gave the girls a few minutes, maybe five or six before heading out in the wild themselves. They never had issues when it came to their little games. The longest anyone had ever lasted, if Zack's memory served him correctly, was three hours. "Audrey went this way." He started to split up from Zack. Between the boys, Zack was the better tracker of the two.

Audrey

Leaving Maria behind was one of the hardest decisions that I had ever made but I thought that if I just sprinted full steam ahead, that I could find some sort of help. Whether it was a passing vehicle or a home... or, I didn't know. Just something. Tears were clouding my vision and I reached up to wipe away my tears which caused me to trip over a branch that I hadn't noticed. I yelped as I hit the ground, bending my wrist backward.

I laid there, out of breathe for a few moments before I pushed back to my feet. I didn't hesitate in taking off again, this time a bit slower. I could heard Zacky far off behind me and i hoped that I was putting distance between us instead of Zacky making it up. I came to a a part in the forest where there was a drop off to the side. Thinking that it might be the best bet, I turned and started down the hill. Progress was slower going because there was a bunch of shrubbery and trees in the way but I hoped Zacky wouldn't realize the direction I had decided to go in since it wasn't the easiest path to take.

Matt

It had been awhile since we were able to go on a true hunt. The cops had come sniffing around a bit more than what made either Zacky or I comfortable so now that we were back at it, I had a lot of pent up aggression that I had to get out. It was just a shame for Maria because she was the one that would I took it out on and maybe Audrey a bit, if Zacky and I decided to share.

Smirking as Zacky and I split up, I headed in the direction that I thought Maria had gone off in. Zacky was a better tracker than I was but I liked to toy with my toys. It drove their fear up, it made them more likely to make a mistake so that I could sink my teeth into them. Walking through the woods, I shouldered my rifle as I scanned the path that I was taking.

Zacky

Zacky followed Audery's tracks to the T as silently as he could. Zacky was more cut and dry, he was in the hunt more for the catch, having a sweet little thing running from him was enough to excite him. "Audrey?" He teased, coming up to the drop off he knew she had went over. It was clear to him that she hadn't taken the short time to cover her tracks, there were holes in the shrubs off the side that gave her away. Heading down himself, he was quick on her tracks. He was already gaining the distance between him, he knew something must've happened to her for her to already being slowing down like this.

Raising his shotgun back up off his back, he decided to take a shot at a tree about a klick or so ahead of him. He was hoping it would be enough to scare the shit out of her, get her to make a noise like a scream or a yelp, something. He shot his gun, the noise loud enough he knew Matt would probably hear it as well. It hit the tree's trunk, sending bark splattering off in every direction and even birds flocked away over head, cawing.

Maria

Not knowing if it was a smart decision or not, I decided to maybe find somewhere to hide, and wait for him to pass by and then go in the opposite direction. I had never been in a situation like this before, so I couldn't determine if it was smart or stupid, whether it had a good chance at success or not. Continuing to run, I kept an eye out for somewhere that might give me some good cover, but the thought of stopping to hide had me panicking. It was obvious these boys had done this before, they would see any sort of hideout immediately.

I stopped in my tracks, hearing Matt's whistling not far off behind me. I decided to just make a quick turn to my right and start sprinting off in that direction, my ribs already beginning to hurt. I always slacked off in gym in high school and never did much cardio even to this day. If I couldn't get the jump on him, or hide successfully, I was as good as dead.

Audrey

The sound of the gun firing sparked a cry from my mouth. There was no hiding my fear and I reached up, clamping my hand down on my mouth as I rushed forward. I knew that I had slowed down since falling and I willed myself to go faster, desperate to get help. I thought that if either of us were successful, it would be me. I would need to send help for Maria because her getting hurt was the last thing that I wanted. If it came right down to it, I knew that I would sacrifice myself to keep her safe but it seemed like that wasn't even a possibility. Matt was after Maria, not me.

I stumbled, jumping over a log and in that moment, I saw what I thought was my only chance at throwing Zacky off of my trail. There was another small drop off, off to my right. I all my threw myself down it, only to climb back up and curl up as tightly as I could under a log that hung over the ledge of the drop off. I heard Zacky's footsteps getting closer and closer and I held my breathe, hopeful that he would keep going. He was still for a few moments before starting off, away from the drop off.

I didn't know that it was a trick but still, I waited for nearlyy a minute before I climbed back up over the log and started off in the opposite direction than Zacky had. Or so I thought.

I noticed some plants being trampled on, indicating that Maria had taken a sharp right. Smirking to myself, I looked up when I heard a gun shot. Zacky. I wondered if he had caught his girl yet, if he was having fun. Picking up my pace, I chuckled when I realized I was on Maria's trail.

"Maria, Maria," I called out, wanting to startle her. "Did you hear that? Poor, little Audrey is probably all wrapped up around Zacky's knife right now. Listen for her screams!" I called out, knowing it was only a matter of time before I heard her screaming.

Zacky

Upon hearing Audrey's cry, Zacky smirked, knowing right in that moment that he had her. Darting off in the direction he heard her cry from, he watched as the red head went down yet another drop off and curl up under a log. He watched every move she made and once he knew she thought she was securely hidden away inside, he went down the drop off himself and walked right up to the log, hesitated in front of it and then walked a few feet behind the log. He knew she wouldn't be able to see him from here, so he faked a few more footsteps and waited for her to think it was safe to come out.

The moment she came out from beneath the log and started to run, Zacky was quick to pounce on her, wrapping his arms around her tightly. "You lose!" It seemed like right after Matt's words made it to me, a shrill cry rang out from over the trees, sending even more birds flying out from their nests. My heart dropped to my stomach. If Audrey couldn't even run fast enough to escape her assailant, what chance did I have? I backed up against a large tree, shaking harder than a leaf falling to the ground. I rested my head against it and felt a few tears trickle down my face. Wiping them away quickly, I continued to run, knowing now that it was all on me to try and find help.

It didn't help that I didn't know whether I was running towards civilization, or father from it. I made it to what looked like a break in the trees and once I reached it, I realized I had right into a clearing. "Fuck me." I groaned, looking around realizing I had ran straight into a field with absolutely no cover. Beginning to turn around, I heard footsteps approaching and realized I had no time. Instead, I darted into the field of wheat and just hunkered down between a group of large rocks and just shut my eyes tightly.

Audrey

I realized all too quickly how big of a mistake that I had just made as I started to run. I heard Zacky just behind me and before I could even think about defending myself, I felt his arms wrap around my torso. I cried out, struggling against Zacky and kicking out as I tried to get out of his grip. As soon as Zacky produced a knife, my heart dropped and I stilled, staring at him with wide eyes. Sopping as Zacky began to drag me through the woods, I struggled to keep up with Zacky's quick pace. "L-Look. Please. Just. Just let me go now and I won't tell anyone what happened. I'll pretend this never happened and then.." I trailed off, giving a weak yank on my wrists. Letting out a defeated whimper, I looked up to Zacky as tears began to fall. "Please, Zacky. You don't have to do this. "

When I stepped into the clearing, I let out a small laugh. There was only one place that Maria would be hiding and now that she had no where else to go, I would toy with her. Zacky only laughed at Audrey's pleas as he dragged her through the woods back to their truck. My heart was beating so fast that I was ready for it to beat out of my chest as he dragged me toward their truck. I cried out as he picked me up by my hair, unable to hold back my tears anymore. I flicked as I was dropped into the bed of the truck. I pushed myself away from him, trying to put as much distance between us as possible. Which was hardly anything at all.

My eyes widened as Zacky hinted at something I had hoped would never happen. With the potential to win my freedom, I knew that I didn't have a choice but to do what Zacky wanted me to do. Besides, I felt like if I didn't, that he would force himself on me anyway. I whimpered as I nodded, turning my head to the side to brush my tears away on my shoulders. Maria

Being slammed down into the bed of the truck, I turned towards Audrey and whimpered. "Sorry... I tried." I buckled under fear. The moment that Zacky pulled up to our cabin, I climbed out of the truck. Starting to whistle lowly again, I tossed the gun strap over my shoulder before heading toward the truck bed. Zacky teased, pulling out his knife once more to cut her hands apart. He looked at her wrist, that was now turning black and purple from bruising. "Mmm... yeah, that's broken,..." He tsked, "But it won't be your biggest problem for much longer." He winked.

Maria

I immediately began trying to pull my hands free of the cuffs, but I knew it was no use. My best bet was to try and comply long enough to get away from these lunatics. "P-please, just please don't hurt me again." I whimpered, trying my hardest not to cry. I didn't want to give the asshole the satisfaction of seeing me cry. I did calm down, though, but immediately tensed up again when he started to come closer to me. My ankle was still pouring blood, and it was already starting to seep into his sheets. I doubted blood bothered him that much though.

Audrey

I had nearly forgotten about my broken wrist, focused only on the fear that ran through my body as Zacky started to carry me into the cabin. I didn't bother to try and fight him, not wanting to cause any more trouble than I had already gotten myself into. Crying out as Zacky tossed me onto the bed, I had no way of stopping the tears that trickled down my cheeks. I arched off of the bed, trying to ease the pressure on my wrists. When Zacky declared that my wrist was broken, I whimpered and shook my head.

Now that there was a legitimate medical issue, I prayed that Zacky might let me go because of it, only to whimper at his words. "Please," I wheezed, trying to inch further up the bed, away from him. There wasn't much room for me to move but still, I moved a foot or so further away from him. "I need to go to the hospital. I need a doctor to look at my wrist, Zack. Please!"

"No promises, sweetheart," I teased as I grabbed a small medical pack from beneath the bed. I knelt down by the foot of the bed, turning Maria's leg over to get a better look at her ankle. "Tsk, tsk. I guess maybe I'm not the best shot anymore..." I trailed off as I looked up to her. "Bullet is embedded in your bone. This is going to hurt," I declared as I grabbed a pair of medical grade tweezers out of the pack. I wasn't as gentle as I needed to be as I pulled the bullet out before wrapping her ankle up with a gauze pad and plenty of gauze wrapped around her ankle to keep it in place.

Grinning as I stood up straight, I looked down to her, running my tongue over my bottom lip. "Those little noises you're making... sweetheart, I don't know if I'm going to be able to hold myself back tonight," I said as I moved into the ensuite bathroom to wash her blood from my hands.

Maria

Even with the bullet out of my foot and it all wrapped up nice and tight, I continued to whail in agony. My foot felt like it was on fire. His words echoed through my head and I just cried, trying to curl up in on myself. "Please, it hurts so badly!" I cried, panicking, unable to calm my breathing. I watched him walk into the bathroom and begin to clean my blood off of his hands. He peeled his tank top off, using it to dry the water off.

When he turned to come back into the room, I pulled myself up on the bed, trying to hide myself away in the sheets- as if that was possible.

Audrey

Sobbing at Zacky's words, the gravity of the situation seemed to sink in as Zacky climbed on top of me. I shook my head, reaching up with my other hand to wipe the tears from my eyes. I couldn't hide my fear and I tried uselessly to push myself further up the bed with one hand. Not being able to use both hands coupled with the fact that Zacky was pinning me to the bed made my efforts useless.

"Please. Please don't hurt me. I didn't.. I don't... I'm sorry," I sobbed, reaching up to cover my face with my hands. I must have done something to upset Zacky last night. I don't know what but I was sure it had to have been something. "Please. I won't tell anyone and I swear, Maria won't either! Just let us go," I begged, my body shaking with my sobs.

I turned back toward Maria, wiping the water from my hands onto my shirt. I rolled my eyes when she started to beg me let her go. Did she honestly think that there was any sort of chance in that? Gripping it tightly in his hand, his smile turned into a malicious frown, "If you don't stop your annoying fucking crying, I'm going to crack your pretty little skull open."

Unable to control my body, I started to shake even harder, twisting and turning trying to get him off of me, feeling the cold steel of his knife on my sternum. "Don't fucking touch me!" I hissed through the tears in my eyes. "I swear to God, once I get free, I'm going to fucking kill you!" I cried, trying to get his grimy hands off of my body.

I knew I had absolutely no chance of having the upper hand against this man, but I couldn't help but talk shit. Talking shit was better than just relentlessly crying and begging to be let go when I knew that wasn't ever going to be an option.

Audrey

I sobbed as Zacky pressed himself against me, causing my tears to quicken as I fought against him. I beat weakly at his chest with my one good arm, only to go dead still at Zacky's fingers wrapped around my throat. My breathe caught in the back of my throat as I stared up at him through wide, fear filled eyes. I gave a small nod of my head, my stomach twisting into a knot as I gulped. "O-Okay. I understand," I whispered, closing my eyes as a lone tear slid down my cheek.

"Please don't kill me," I whimpered, forcing my fingers to start massaging his chest. It was the only thing I could think that might calm Zacky down. Had I known that trying to calm him and play like I wanted him might end up just upsetting him more because I wasn't being any fun, I might have thought twice about it. "I-I'm just scared," i tried to explain, sniffling as I pressed my chest to his. "Will you make it better?"

I couldn't contain my laughter when Maria started to threaten me. I shook my head, reaching out to cup her cheek, brushing my thumb over her skin. "Oh, princess. If you honestly believe that you will ever have the chance to hurt me, you're sorely mistaken," I said with a laugh, pressing my hips against hers to pin her in place. "You're not going anywhere, any time soon. And if you try to, I'll gut your precious little friend like a pig," I whispered, a sadistic grin growing on my features.

"So you might want to think twice about trying to run," I paused, leaning up just enough to look down at her bandaged leg. "Besides, where would you go with a leg like that?" I asked, running my hands up her thighs. "Oh, that's right. You're going nowhere unless I decide I want to fuck you in another room," I spat, my fingers digging into her body. "I guess if you really want to, you can pick where we fuck..."
