With one final flick of the lighter, the small blonde had produced another one of her famous blunts. Sitting back in the seat of her friends small malibu, Dallas took the first long drag of the skunky smoke. Letting out a cough, “Alright you guys, we really have to figure out something to do tonight. I’m tired of sitting in this damn car all the time!” She playfully kicked the back of the front seat, her friend Austin turned around with a glare. Shooting a flirty smirk, “Maybe we should go see about that club downtown… or I heard Josh is having a party at his place.”

The group in the packed car all nodded in agreement to the second option. Josh was known for always being stocked on whatever a druggies little heart could crave. Within twenty minutes the young adults found their way downstairs to a lower level apartment. The entire bottom floor had their doors open; people flooding from apartment to apartment, a beer pong table in the middle of the hallway, kegs stationed outside each door, and a thick haze of smoke filling the air around them. Dallas turned into the apartment she knew belonged to their friend, whom she immediately found on the couch with bong in his lap. Josh lazily smiled up to the girl, “Hey Dee, I have something special for you in the back!” Stumbling to get to his feet, Josh grabbed her small hand and brought her to the bedroom. Shutting the door behind the two of them, the stoner pulled a small bag from his back pocket. There were an assortment of ‘pressed pills’. He grabbed one shaped like a minion, “This will make you feel better than anything else ever could.”

Dallas wasn’t one to back down from a free drug offer. With a grin, she popped the pill into her mouth, swallowed it down with a beer that she had snagged on the way in. “Josh, you sure know how to make a girl happy.” Soon the lights became brighter, her body filled with a warm fuzzy feeling, and she was off in another world. The music pulsed through her veins, leaving her dancing all around the place. A few times she found herself latched onto a random stranger, leaving kisses wherever their skin was bare.
As the night continued, Dallas found herself running around making more choices that she would be reminded of the next day. Once the alcohol kicked in, along with whatever drug she had been given, she had no idea what was happening around her.

    <>

Groaning, the small girl rolled over as a cool breeze washed over her chest. Shooting up, she looked around to see if she recognized her surroundings. A wave of relief washed over her as she realized she had spent the night with Josh. Crawling out of his bed and grabbing the nearest t-shirt, and sweats she made her way out of the bedroom. Dallas found one of her friends, borrowed their phone and called for her mom to come get her. With her mother refusing, because she was in bed with a migraine, she told Dallas to call her father.

The last thing Dallas wanted was for her dad to see her this way, but she wasn’t entirely she how else she was going to get home. She couldn’t even find her phone, let alone a way to get home. With a sad sigh, she dialed her fathers number and sheepishly spoke, “Hi daddy… I’m on the other end of town, and I don’t have a way home. Mom told me to call you…” She gave him the address, she could hear the annoyance in his voice. Did she care? Not really. She knew the lecture would be coming, the same one she had heard so many times before.

The blaring ringing of a phone could be heard of the radio as Mr Williams made his way to work that morning. He sighed seeing it was from Dallas, his daughter, she hadn't come home the previous night. Her constant partying and drug use was slowly beginning to wear him down. He pulled out of traffic and answered the phone. He told her he'd be there when he could, and hung up turning the car around and began heading towards the address she'd given him.

Dallas had always been a bit of a wild child, but Mr Williams had been trying to let her do her own thing, under the misguided delusion she'd grow out of it, and find a job she cared about. It pained him to see her on the morning after a night out, she'd always look dreadful, but the worst nights were the ones he had to pick her up from the police station, or the emergency room, when she parties just a little too hard.

He had spoken with his wife, and raised the idea of making Dallas move away from the city, away from all the temptations. As a sort of form of rehab, but considering they struggled financially as it was, they couldn't afford to put her through rehab. He would try to speak with Dallas when she was sober, maybe there was an option in one of his old school friends, who went off to live in isolation.

    <>

Mr Williams called into a cafe on his way to pick up Dallas, and ordered her a coffee, from the way she'd sounded she probably needed one. He made his way to the apartment building and climbed out of his old beat up sedan. He walked into the building searching for Dallas. "Dallas, where are you?" he called out as he searched through the rooms.

Dallas heard her name being called, the wild child came out of the back bedroom (where she had returned to find cigarettes). “Hi…” She weakly waved to her father, who looked more stressed than he had in years. Sighing heavily, she followed the grown man out to the family sedan. Her head was pounding with the sunlight, and the nausea was starting to settle in. Plopping into the passenger seat, the girl sighed and grabbed the coffee her father had gotten her. She wasn’t in the mood to talk, or make any form of conversation. Except for asking a favor, “So I really have no clue where my phone went. I want to say someone probably took it… Would we be able to stop and get another one?”

Was she spoiled? A little, but that was mostly on her parents at this point. “Like you don’t have to if you don’t want to, but I’m not really sure it’s the best for me to go out without some way to talk to you, and mom.” She sipped the coffee, her headache feeling slightly better, but not her nausea. “But my birthday is coming up, so if you guys want to put it off as a present.” Her eyebrows wiggled some. A puff of smoke escaped her lips as she lit up a cigarette following her suggestion. The nicotine buzz gave her a goofy smile.

[God, this is so short. I’m sorry! I’m replying on my phone.]

Mr William's found Dallas and led her back to the car. He was tired and cranky, but was glad to see she was actually able to walk to the car on her own this time, and at least she had covered up a little for him. He climbed into the drivers seat and started the car, "did you look around for it while you waited?" he asked her. He knew sometimes she'd leave it on a table then walk off to do something.

He started the engine and started making his way towards his work, he didn't have time to drop her home this morning. He would drive past the mall though, and since she seemed to be okay this time he figured she would be okay. "I have to head to work, I'm already late sweety, but I can drop you at the mall, and you can borrow my credit card to get a new phone, and pay for a taxi or whatever to get home, and if you can promise not to spend more than say $100 on other things we can do that" he told her lightly. He knew it was probably a bad idea and he shouldn't trust her, but he couldn't say no to her. "If not you'll have to spend the day with me," he said lightly.

Mr Williams worked as an accountant for a factory that made various things. His workplace was full of extremely fit and attractive men, or all types. Various mechanics and fitters, as well as Office workers. She used to come to work with him occasionally when she was little.

"I mean, I figured if I had set it down somewhere then I would've found it this morning. And usually I have it in the room with me by the end of the night." Rolling her eyes, she set the coffee back into the cup holder. She listened to what her dad offered her. She could go to the mall, and decide to get a new phone, along with a few other things. Or she could go to his office/factory for the day. Dallas looked down to her outfit, sighed at how much of a mess she appeared, and thought. "I do love getting to hang out with you." A few of his coworkers were popping into her head while she sat there. "What if we went on your lunch break to the mall or something? I'm sure you could find something for me to do in the back office." Dallas knew she would get paid for any work she did there.

Her only other choice was to go look homeless in the mall, and spend a bunch of money. She'd prefer to make some money, then have her dad go spoil her. "Whatever you feel like doing, daddy. I'm just along for the ride." The hungover adult was easy going for the most part. But she was hoping if she went to the office she'd have a chance at finding a new guy to fool around with.

"Okay, to work it is," he said lightly. He kept driving, he was thinking if he had anything he could get her to do for him at work. He sighed softly knowing she would probably get bored and bug him or someone else if he didn't give her a task. "If I work through lunch, we can leave early, and stop by the mall," he mentioned softly. It would be easier for him to do things that way, rather than take her to the mall during lunch.

He pulled up outside his work, and found a park. He climbed out of his car and grabbed his suitcase, "Are you feeling okay Dallas?" he asked. He was wondering if she needed something to eat or anything like that. He was aware that she was no longer a virgin, it came with the territory of drug use and partying, but he was still clueless to the extent of her promiscuity.

"Fine. I guess that works. I just don't like sitting places all day, I do get bored." She looked up to the building as they parked. She looked to her father, "I'm fine. Just thinking about what I can do to keep myself busy is all." She fixed the baggy shirt she was wearing, so it appeared a little tighter and would ride up if she moved the right way, and rolled the sweatpants so they hung slightly from her hips. Her hair was thrown into a messy bun, and she smiled. "I'm ready for whatever you need me to do."

Which in Dallas' language meant she hoped her father would be having her work with the guys somewhere. She loved attention, and she wanted as much as she could get. She also knew that the men who worked in the factory were fans of drugs, and usually had something out back going around when she would show up.

Mr Williams smiled softly, "I'll see what I can find for you to do, but first follow me up to my office," he told her. He was clearly trying to be nice, but the conversations he'd had with his wife, Dallas' mother, were weighing on his mind. She had made it very clear that he needed to wake up and control Dallas, or something would happen to her. He walked up into the office part of the factory, which was tucked away in one corner. He waved the foreman of the floor over. He was cognizant of the fact that Dallas wouldn't like being stuck in the file room all day.

Mr Williams, led her into his office and pulled up a chair for her. He looked up as his co-worker came into the office, "What did you need?" the foreman asked. "I was wondering if you had any tasks that needed done downstairs that Dallas could help you out with, she's spending the day with me," Mr Williams explained.

    <>

The foreman had gotten used to seeing Dallas on occasion, and knew more about how she liked to tease and tempt to other workers than Mr Williams. But he always had need of extra hands. "Of course, I can find something to keep her busy," he said lightly. He turned to leave the office, "Come on Dallas," he called to her.

Dallas was in her own little world throughout the walk to her fathers office. Alcohol was slowly being replaced by caffeine, and a headache. She sat down in the chair provided for her, her eyes glancing over the office. She watched as a worker came in, sitting up a bit more, the small girl smiled as her father explained the situation. For as long as she could remember, Dallas had been coming to her father's place of work and was favored by the men who worked there. Her father was oblivious to the previous relationships his daughter had with his fellow coworkers; something she was proud of was the amount of men who believed her to be eighteen when she hadn't been.

Following the foreman to the floor, she smirked. "So how have you been? Any new guys around here?" Her blunt attitude was fun, and flirty. She could've been a dream girl, if everyone hadn't known her reputation.

Mr Williams sighed and went about his work. He loved Dallas, but her attitude and misbehaviour was truthfully wearing him out. He sat down at his desk began working away.

The foreman kept walking, 'I've been okay Dallas, I hope you haven't been getting in too much trouble," he said softly. He led her over to one of the new guys, who was working away slowly. "Dallas this is Dan, he's new, Dan this is Dallas she'll be helping you out for the day," he explained. Dan was a well build part African American man, he was busy working away stacking crates.

Dallas ignored the foreman a bit, her mind somewhere else -- partially wondering why she chose to spend her day at her father's job, when she could've been getting a new phone. The only thing that caught her attention was the mention of a man named Dan. Dallas smiled brightly at the man stacking crates. "Am I really going to have to help stack crates?" She rolled her eyes, crossed her arms, and cocked her hip. Attitude was something she was known for, the men knew this, she always got her way with it. All she wanted was to hang out for the day, and end up getting paid, and rewarded at the end of it.

It was hard for the young, party girl to stay focused. Her mind always ended up on something that had nothing to do with her task at hand. Dallas had found herself fired from almost every job she had, or she just simply quit without a care or thought. Her father always tried to get her to work, even if just a little bit, but with no results. His daughter was simply too good at being able to get her way, with anyone. Even this newcomer, who hadn't really even given her the time of day.

The foreman smiled softly at Dallas, "listen Dallas it's out here with the guys, helping stack or keeping track of the numbers, or back up in the office with your father," the foreman informed her. He liked her, but couldn't let her just slack off all day.

Dan smiled softly at the young lady, "Hi Dallas, don't worry too much stick with me it'll be fun," he said lightly. He hadn't heard anything about Dallas, and just knew that if the foreman asked you to do something you did it. He moved over to her, "I promise I'll lift all the heavy ones," he told her.

Mr Williams rang his wife once his daughter left the office. He needed to tell her he'd found Dallas safe, and she would be spending the day with him.

Dallas grinned when Dan said he’d do the heavy lifting, “I’m not that heavy.” Teasing with her grin, she propped herself up on one of the crates, her slim legs dangling. “Tell me, Dan... does anyone around here know how to have any fun? I don’t want to be stuck inside all day!” Her lip pouted some, her brown eyes widened playfully.

The work day had dragged on, she had found some entertainment for herself, but not much. Dallas was ready for her new phone, and to keep planning her twenty-first birthday. She was already promised Molly, and as much as she could smoke, and drink. So her countdown was practically to the minute mark.

Dan held back a smile, but managed to keep it professional. He worked away with Dallas all morning, stacking the crates, and loading them onto the trucks. He was joking around with her, but always stayed on task. As his lunch break came closer her turned to her, "come on lunch break, I'm sure some of the other guys might have some weed, since you've been asking about it," he said calmly. He led her out towards the break room.

    <>

Mr Williams went back to work, after speaking with his wife. He sat thinking, and decided that, he'd have to talk with Dallas, he wanted to give her an ultimatum, that her drug use would have to slow down, and eventually stop, or she'd have move out.
