George grinned, “Oh you must be able to read my mind lil mama.” He smiled, going over to his dresser and opening a box he pulled out a joint and walked back over to his bed. He sat next to her as he lit it and took a hit, handing it to her.

Maddie sat up and pulled his T-shirt on before taking the joint and taking a hit from it. “It’s always good to smoke after sex.” She smirked.

“It is,” George smiled, taking the joint from her and taking a hit. “This is great, relaxing, no pressure.” He laughed.

Maddie nodded, “and now that I’m not on the squad anymore, I can get high without a worry.” She smiled, taking the joint from him when he passed it.

Hailey woke up to the sound of her phone going off. Rubbing her eyes, she carefully sat up and moved from Jorel. Seeing it was her dad, she sighed as she answered, “What?”

“Where are you?” He said.

Hailey sighed, “I didn’t think it was any of your business since you no longer want to be my father.”

“Hailey Lynn Matthews, I heard what you did to Sarah today, that is ridiculous,” he scolded her.

She rolled her eyes, “Oh I forgot, she’s your precious step-daughter now, you don’t care about me...so kindly lose my number.” She said before hanging up.

Maddie thought for a moment. “Like I said. I hated quitting the team, I’ve been doing cheer since I could walk...but I refuse to be on there without Hailey.” She said.

“Who was that?” Jorel asked, waking suddenly whenever he felt Hailey move. He had kept quiet while she was on the phone but now he was curious.

Hailey sighed, “My dad, he’s pissed about me punching Sarah...” She shook her head, “It’s no big deal, I’m just going to block his number, my mom is my legal guardian now so he has no say.”

“It’s okay, as long as I have you, I won’t be bored.” Maddie smiled and then sighed whenever her phone rang. “It’s my dad,” she said and answered.

“Hello?”

“Where the hell are you and why did I get a phone call from your cheerleading coach saying you and Hailey punched another cheerleader?”

“Hailey punched her, I didn’t. She was picking on her so she defended herself.”

“And you got kicked from the squad?”

“Once again, Hailey got kicked from the squad, I quit voluntarily.” Maddie sighed.

“After all that money your mother had put into sending you to cheer camps every summer and this is how you repay her.”

“You’re right Dad, the only reason I got so far with cheerleading was because of Mom. You never once contributed to anything having to do with my cheerleading because you were too busy showering your mistresses with gifts.” Maddie said before hanging up and running her hands through her hair, trying not to cry.

Hailey laughed softly, “I guess I do have that.” She smiled over at him, “I have a lot more free time for you now.”

George looked over at Maddie as she talked on the phone. Once she hung up he moved over to her and wrapped his arms around her, “Maddie...it’s okay...” he said quietly, knowing it wasn’t really okay.
