Rowan woke up early in the morning, the sun was peaking through their bedroom curtains warming his exposed back. He stretched his sleepy limbs and moved in closer to his sleeping husband. Kase was sleeping on his stomach without any sheets over him. Rowan smiled and let a hand run down his back to squeeze his ass. He noticed how his skin reacted and small goosebumps erupted on Kase's arms. He enjoyed these mornings where he woke up first, it gave him a chance to get a look at his partner properly without Kase catching him and making a comment.

His hands moved back up to trace small circles up Kase's neck, letting a finger run over the healing love bites that he gave him here and there. He moved in a little and placed a feather light kiss on the bruises. ''I love you, you know?'' Rowan whispered and put his hand underneath his head, waiting for Kase to wake up so they could start their day. Kase had had a rough night... No, not the kind of rough that comes from having nightmares He and his gorgeous husband, Rowan, had spent a lot of it making love to each other. Not that Kase minded. He loved everything he and Rowan did together, even those love bites Rowan had given to him. The brunet moaned slightly as Rowan squeezed his ass, stirring. “Rowan,” he whined, waking up even more at the kiss to the bruises. He shifted onto his back, staring at his husband with barely open brown eyes.

They had been married for a few months now, but he could not get enough of his husband. “Babe, we have to talk about renting that spare room,” he mumbled.

Rowan took a deep breath as Kase kissed him, he loved the feeling of his lips. Rowan's lips curled into a pout as he rested his chin on his husband's chest. He nodded slightly, ''I know. One of my friends needs a place to crash till he finds his own place or someone to move in with. Maybe we could help him out, and then if it works for us all and he wants to stay, then he could rent it out to him?''

He wasn't extremely excited about the idea, but he didn't want to be a bad friend, and he knew Erik was struggling. ''I can give him a call later on?'' he said and smiled a slightly lopsided smile. He kissed Kase's chest and rested his cheek against it. He knew the apartment was way too big for them alone, so it made sense to rent it out. He just wouldn't feel comfortable having a complete stranger in his perfect home.

Kase couldn’t help but to chuckle at Rowan’s pout. “What’s wrong, sweetheart? We can still do what we did last night? He’ll just have to deal with it.” He grinned, slightly tempted to have another round this morning. But they both had work, didn’t they? His dark eyes glittered slightly as Rowan kissed his cheek. “You make me want to have a repeat of last night,” he admitted.

He wouldn’t exactly say they had sex all the time, but it helped him get through the bad parts of his job. So usually, at least a few times a week, depending on how tired they might have been after working. The brunet reached out a hand to run his fingers through Rowan’s hair.

Rowan almost started purring when Kase ran his fingers through his hair. It made him feel safe and loved, not that he didn't feel that normally. It just felt so nice. He smiled and perked up on his elbows, ''I know, that's not what I'm worried about. I just don't want to live with a complete stranger.''

The blonde reached over for his phone on the bedside table and looked at the time. ''You should get out unless you want to be late. I'll make you some breakfast, so go shower.'' He planted a big kiss on Kase's lips and hopped out of bed, searching for some boxers.

Kase raised an eyebrow. “You said he’s your friend, Rowan.” But he didn’t argue anymore. He nuzzled against his husband, grinning again at the other. God, he was so lucky. Rowan was perfect. Absolutely perfect. He had the best husband ever.

Though, he frowned when Rowan hopped out of bed. “Fine. But you owe me,” he teased him. He got out of the bed himself, and headed toward the shower, slapping Rowan’s ass as he did so. “Too bad you can’t join me,” He spoke with a wink. He knew he had to hurry, though.

''Oi! That's abuse,'' he said as he finally pulled on some clean underwear and a t-shirt. ''He is a friend, I just meant if he doesn't want to like crash here, and we have to find someone else.'' Rowan let Kase continue into the bathroom but was slightly tempted to join him. He didn't though and hurried into their kitchen instead.

He quickly made some toast and two eggs, sunny side up. He then rummaged through the fridge finding some strawberries and a grapefruit. He cut the grapefruit in half and put the other half on a plate for himself. Rowan put the plate on the kitchen island and sat down beside the seat intended for Kase. He picked a strawberry and took a bite and checked his email while waiting for Kase.

Kase took a quick shower and got dressed in some clothes that Rowan had told him he looked good in. Kase worked at Amazon, and there was a casual dress code. The young man came into the kitchen, kissing Rowan’s cheek, biting into a grapefruit half. He was a bit messy when it came to grapefruit, but he loved the fruit.

“Rowan, love, I need to talk to you when I get home. I think you might like what I have to say. And call Erik.” He stood up from the table, grabbing his phone and heading off to his car. The brunet smirked slightly, thinking about Rowan on his way to work.

Rowan sighed as he watched Kase leave their apartment. He cleaned up after them and wiped off the counter. After he was done he entered the big spacious living room, sitting down in front of the tv. He didn't turn it on but instead pulled out his phone and found Erik's number.

He pressed the button to call him and put the phone up to his ear. His stomach fluttered a bit as the phone started calling his friend. Rowan wasn't exactly sure what to feel about the situation, but he knew Erik was the best option they had. ''Erik? Hey, it's Rowan.''

Erik was surprised when his phone rang. Well, surprised to see it was Rowan calling. They hadn’t been in contact much since Rowan had gotten married. But Rowan did know that Erik was struggling with financial issues, during the times they did talk. Even so, he didn’t know why Rowan would be calling now.

The male answered the call, nodding though Rowan couldn't see him. “Hey, Rowan. How’s the married life suiting you?” He questioned him, and he made it clear he was smiling. He was curious about Kase, too. The last time he knew, Kase was working long hours.

Rowan smiled as he heard Erik's voice. ''Hey, pretty good honestly. Pretty settled.'' He made some small talk before kind of bringing up the reason for his call. ''Look I know you're struggling, and we have a pretty large place, and instead of having a complete stranger live with us I thought of you,'' he rambled.

''Perhaps if everything goes well you can rent the room, and live here permanently or something? If you want to, you can come see it and check it out one of these days.''

Erik laughed at the way Rowan was rambling. “Yeah. That would be great. Fantastic, really.” He thought for a few moments, staring at a cute couple in the distance of the park where he was sitting. But then he spoke again. “I can come by today. Or tomorrow. Either works. Then I can see your house, and meet your husband. I still don’t know how I never met him...”

He bit his lip, thinking again as he waited for a response from Rowan. He used to have a crush on the other, and was curious about anything that might’ve changed.
