Mr. and Mrs. President

A couple of weeks later, things had started to get even busier at the Kennedy Household. Lately everyone felt like they were either one way or another one things. Jackie was trying to focus on getting ready for the new addition being born while trying to help her husband as he was elected President, all while slowly easing off of bedrest. Staying stress free lately was the hardest thing Jackie Kennedy had to face at the moment, or at least that's what she thought. With getting ready for the move into the White House, Jackie had been spending a little bit more time there. Making sure everyone's rooms, hers and Jackie's, Caroline's room, and the baby's nursery, along with the rest of the house ready for their move in. As she walked down the hall of the Kennedy's Compound, checking off things from her list as she walked [waddled], Jackie noticed Jack sitting in his Study. She just smiled as she watched him, but then frowned as she noticed one of the White House Interns sitting on the corner of his desk, listening to him as he talked about some upcoming presidential things.

A young brunette by the name of Ashley sat on the corner of Jack Kennedy's desk, waiting as the Soon-To-Be President paced back and forth in the room. Small giggles escaped her small formed mouth when Jack was telling her how impressed he was with her Administrative Skills, and how mature she was with only being 24 years old. "Well thank you Mr. President." She said with a small giggle and wink as she brushed some of her long brown hair off her shoulder.

Jack looked at Ashley and smiled, "You are welcome. I think you'd be a good asset to me." Jack told her and smiled at her. "You're background is very impressive." Jack admitted.

Ashley giggled once more, "Well thank you Mr. President. I want to only be the best for you, sir," She winked as she twirled a piece of her hair with her finger. "What would you like me to do for you today sir?" She then asked as she leaned a little closer to him.

Jackie watched from a distance, feeling the tension building up inside her. "Jack don't do this." She mumbled to herself as she put a hand on her very round pregnant bump.

Jack looked at her a second before smirking. “I can think of some things.” Jack whispered gently placing his hand on her leg before patting it. “But I have some family photos to do today.” Jack told Ashley with a smile. “If you don’t mind, review this for me. Let me know if you agree with what the congress is proposing or not.” Jack handed her the folder he’d been sent.

Ashley giggled a little, smiling at Jack when his hand went to her leg, gently patting it. She instantly frowned through when Jack told her he had family photos today. "Of course." She said as put a fake smile on her face. Taking the folder from his hands, Ashley opened the file, reading over it before looking up at Jack. "I can do that, Mr. President." She said with a wink, then jumped off his desk to head back to her desk. When she stepped out of the room, Ashley instantly saw Jackie. "Oh Mrs. Kennedy, hello." She said and then walked off.

Jackie stayed busy as she watched and waited for the young intern to come out of the room. When she heard movement coming out of the room, the young heavily pregnant woman turned and just nodded to the intern. "Hello Ashley." She said, keeping a good front face on. Watching as the young intern made her way to her desk in the house, Jackie looked back at the door that lead into her husband's study. The door had been cracked open just enough to where she could see everything just happen and heard just about everything as well. Shaking off the bad feeling and the tension that was building up inside her, Jackie waddled into Jack's office. She didn't say a single word as she stepped in.

Jack looked up and saw Jackie as he smiled. "Jackie." Jack smiled at her. "I was coming to find you so we could get to the family photo's scheduled for today." Jack told his wife and smiled.

"Oh were you?" She said with a soft smile. "Well I am here." She said. She was playing off what she saw like she didn't see it. She moved closer to him, letting Jack wrap an arm around her waist. "Jack, why do you have to do family photos today when I look like the size of a beached whale?" She said as she put a hand on her very large and rounded belly.

Smiling at Jackie, Jack held her close. “Because I want to capture us before the baby comes, then after the baby gets to come home.” Jack told her kissing her lips lightly. “You are beautiful, so stop downing yourself baby.” He held her close looking at Ashley and winking at her.

Ashley had been walking by, just watching Jack as he spoke with his wife. She was completely jealous of Jackie, and there had been numerous times, especially recently where she wished that she was in Jackie's place. She could feel her heart skip a beat or two when she caught Jack looking at her and winking at her, even while he was holding his wife.

Jackie let a small smile dance on her face as her husband kissed her lightly. "Thank you Jack." She spoke, thanking him for his compliment. Lately the young brunette had found it hard to think of herself as beautiful, so to hear it from her husband did make a difference. As she stood there in her husband's arms, she felt like something was off, but she wasn't going to read into it too much. She knew she was just overthinking things....at least she hoped she was.

Pulling back Jack looked down at her, "You're more than welcome, sweetheart." Jack kissed her lips softly. "Are you ready to do our pictures?" He smiled at her.

Jackie looked to Jack after she pulled back from their kiss. "Yeah, I guess...it's now or never." She spoke as she moved, feeling the baby kick. "Ooh." She breathed for a second as her hand dropped to her rounded bump. "Someone is excited about pictures." She giggled a little.

Ashley kept watching them for a distance. She rolled her eyes as she watched Jack with Jackie. She didn't say anything as she walked over. "Mr. Kennedy." She said interrupting. "I need these signed before you take pictures. Can you sign these?" She said and batted her eyes.

Jack looked at her nodding his head, "Yes I can, Ashley." Jack told her and smiled. He took and signed the documents and smiled at her. "There you are." Jack said as he took and walked away from her with Jackie. He decided not on glimpsing back for the sake of his wife being beside of him. "That's just cute the baby is excited about the pictures." Jack chuckled softly.

Jackie didn't let Ashley's interruption both her. She knew her husband, the newly elected President, had things to do, and regardless of how she felt towards one person...she still needed to be mindful of his job. She smiled as he walked back over to her. She grabbed his hand, walking with him to another room for them to take their family photos. She looked to Jack, putting a hand of his onto her rounded belly as the baby continued to kick.

Smiling at Jackie, “The baby is excited.” Jack smiled feeling the baby kick at his hand where Jackie had it rested on her stomach. “Very active and excited today.” Jack chuckled to himself staring at Jackie.

Jackie just nodded, "Yes very active and excited." She agreed with her husband as she kept a hand on her rounded belly. She looked to Jack for a second, but then looked away as the idea of Ashley and him ran through her head once more. She sighed, pulling away from her husband's arms. She kept looking away, trying to keep herself from crying.

Noticing how she was acting, Jack stared at her a second. “Jackie, honey.” Jack paused. “What’s wrong honey? Have I done something wrong? Or said something wrong? If I have upset you I am truly sorry.” Jack stared frowning unsure of what he’d just done.

Jackie blinked away her tears. She heard Jack's words, but didn't know how she could answer his questions. How was she going to tell him what she saw? Or what she thought she saw. It was so confusing. She trusted her husband, but at the same time didn't. Looking up at Jack, finally, Jackie had tears in her eyes. "Jack...I can't..." She said as tears ran down her cheeks, she could no longer hold back the tears.

Frowning he went to comfort her as she backed away. “Jackie.” Jack frowned unsure of what to do. “I have no idea what to do here, Jackie.” He admitted finally.

"Oh Jack, don't play dumb with me." She snapped a little. "I've watched Ashley with you and you with her." She said as she wiped away her tears. "You think I don't notice, but dammit Jack....I do!" She said, getting aggravated. "Jack, what the hell are you thinking?" She looked to him.
