    "Well, what about you Olive?"

Olive Bevan was caught quite off guard at the question of what career she wanted to pursue after leaving Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Turning to look at her friends, Lily Evans and Marlene McKinnon, Olive caught sight of Sirius Black, James Potter, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew, all turned to look at her.

"I-I'm not sure, if I'm honest." Olive's cheeks reddened. "I mean, an Auror is in my line of interest, but I'm not sure if I can get the results I need in my N.E.W.Ts - well, Marlene, how about you?" The young Hufflepuff encouraged her closest friend to talk, wanting to get off the subject of future careers as soon as she could.

It was mid October, and the group were in their seventh, and final, year of Hogwarts. It had been busy, hectic even, so far, and Olive just wanted to enjoy the remainder of her time at the school she held so close to her heart before it all ended.

[ sorry I didn't reply sooner! Life got a little crazy yesterday! ]

Marlene ran her fingers through her hair and smiled at her friends. "I'm going to be an Auror for sure. I mean this is only been my dream since I was twelve," she said knowing how upset she would be if she didn't reach this goal. Honestly, Marlene had worked so hard for what felt like the longest time now to reach her goal and she'd be damned if she didn't reach it.

"There is a lot that goes into it though," she said with a sigh, "I mean I was talking to McGonagall last week just about my future and everything that it entails and I know it's going to be hard but I'm pretty determined," she told them. And given everything that was going on outside of Hogwarts Marlene felt like they could use as many Aurors as possible.

"Why don't we talk about the upcoming Hogsmeade trip?" Lily said feeling like it was time to change the direction of the conversation from futures after Hogwarts, to things they were going to do while they still could.

"Well, what about it?" Olive questioned, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "First place I'm going is Honeydukes!" She exclaimed. "I'm still yet to get a special edition Dumbledore card for my chocolate frog collection," she chuckled, tucking her hair behind her ear. "And then to get a good butterbeer."

Everyone seemed to nod their heads at the thought of a good Butterbeer from The Three Broomsticks.

Sirius Black cleared his throat. "You girls, honestly! We all know the most important thing is to go and explore the Shrieking Shack," he ridiculously wiggled his fingers in Lily, Marlene and Olive's direction in a lame attempt to frighten them. "The most haunted house! In Britain! Can you believe it?"

[ sorry for taking so long to reply! I was out of the country last week, and I've kind of spent the last 3 days catching up on sleep and readjusting to being home XD ]

Marlene rolled her eyes and pushed Sirius' hand away from them. "You're so immature sometimes," she laughed. "Do you really believe that it's the most haunted house in all of Britain?" She asked him pushing her fingers through her hair, "because for some reason I find it hard to really believe,"

Marlene wasn't sure why she didn't believe it but for some reason, she didn't. She's heard all the stories about the place like everyone else, but Marlene just didn't believe that they were really true. "I bet it's all just rumors that some kid made up forever ago to scare someone else that's just ended up out of hand," she said refusing to believe that this was the most haunted building in Britain.

Remus rolled his eyes as he watched his friends all interact, and he couldn't help but get a little nervous at Sirius' mention of the Shrieking Shack. He knew all about the place, he also knew that Marlene was indeed right and it wasn't actually haunted. Not that he had any intentions of telling the girls that. If he told them after all, then he'd also have to tell them he was a werewolf and Remus was still stuck in the mindset that the fewer people who knew his little secret the better.

"Honestly, I'm pretty excited about butterbeer and chocolate frogs myself," Remus said smiling at the girls. "I mean there are still a couple cards I need to complete my collection, and a good butterbeer always hits the spot," he said planning on avoiding the shrieking shack if at all possible for as long as possible. "Oh by the joke shop is pretty nice too. I heard that they have a whole new line of products they're going to be selling and I'm kind of excited to see what all they've got in,"

Sirius chuckled, knowing the truth behind the Shrieking Shack and the rumours surrounding it. “Of course I believe it, Marlene! How could you not?” Sirius grinned. “That place is terrifying and every student at this school wants to know what makes that place so scary! I bet it’s a poltergeist.” Sirius grinned, clearly proud of his theory.

Olive rolled her eyes at Sirius, clearly being playful. “Honestly, Sirius, you’re such an idiot.” She shook her head, looking to Remus as he spoke, smiling at his mention of a good butterbeer. “Of course you would be batty about the jokeshop, you four haven’t stopped talking about it since it opened. I dare to think what you might do to Snivellus when you get there.” She chuckled at the thought.

In response to Snivellus — known as Severus Snape to people outside their group of friends, James smirked. “I’m excited. I might surprise him with a shampoo that dyes his hair pink.”

Marlene rolled her eyes at Sirius, she still didn’t believe him but clearly for whatever reason he wanted her to believe him. “I have to agree with Olive on this one,” she told him shrugging her shoulders at him. There really was no way that Marlene was going to just sit around and believe some story about some place being haunted because everyone else did. Which was probably because they were scared of how it looked or something ridiculous. Honestly in Marlene’s opinion the place probably wasn’t haunted but someone probably made the whole thing up to scare people for some unknown reason.

Remus laughed and smiled at Olive. “I mean we are pranksters and what good prankster doesn’t love a good joke shop?” Remus joked. If there was one thing he was excited about it was the joke shop because that would give them all new pranks to try out which they all kind of lived for. “I don’t know what we have planned for him yet, however I’m sure whatever we come up with will be good,” he told her with a sly smile on his face. He personally wasn’t a fan of Snape, never had been, and probably never would be. He did however hope that this year James and Sirius didn’t take things too far like they had in the past. After all, there was a difference between pranking someone for fun and putting their life in danger.
