I've seen them three times, and met them once. They are amazing live. I can't wait till their next tour. The dates they have now, they're not coming to Chicago. Sad I'm so excited for the new album though. Happy face They're one of the few bands I've been a fan since the beginning. Ever since I first heard "I Hate Everything About You." I've been in love with them.

Transit Of Venus is in stores now!!!!! Great album, but still not as great as One-X. At least in my opinion. I love all of their music, but my favorite album is One-X with their self-titled a close second.

I love them too... So much. My favorite band ever...

I'm going to tell a short story. I was laying in bed one night all excited about Transit of Venus coming out so I updated my status saying how TDG is awesome, everyone should buy the album, and it would be amazing if they were going to be in my hometown at a certain venue where I've seen them once (then again later at another event/venue). Now in my head I was thinking "It would be amazing if they were going to be in my hometown on my birthday. I didn't put the birthday part at last minute.

Now that was in August. I found out a few weeks ago they were going to be in town again. ON MY FREAKING BIRTHDAY. I was like "Omg I have to go". Well...they had had a presale which I hadn't known about and I was broke during anyway. This hapepend two days before I found out about this concert. Needless to say I'm very upset that they are sold out....

So upset...So very upset... I am going to cry. No just kidding. But seriously, I'm so disappointed.

I've listened to part of the new album and I'm a bit disappointed as much as it pains me to say that. I like the raw sound they had with their self-titled and One X. I like the edgy sound and stuff. Of course, Adam Gontier had been on drugs when one or both of the albums were done so I know that had an effect...

Aww I'm sorry about the show being sold out. That's a bummer. I'd be upset too.

I totally agree with your opinion about the new album. I love it, it's got some amazing songs on it, but I'm also a bit disappointed for the exact same reasons as you are. 3DG and One-X were just so amazing. I'm actually surprised and a bit disappointed that they don't even swear in their songs anymore XD Needless to say, they still put on amazing live shows, and I really can't wait till they tour with the new album. None of their shows scheduled now are anywhere near me, so I'll have to wait for the big tour which I know will hit one of two arenas in my area.

Thanks. It's okay. I'll get over it... Somehow. Lol.

Yeah, the album has good songs but...it's just different. I still like what I've heard, I'm just not...feeling as much as I did with the first two albums. Their live shows are so freaking amazing. Omg, I can't even describe how amazing.

I saw them in my hometown the first time (in September) and I was blown away. Then I saw them at Uproar this past September, they totally blew Avenged Sevenfold out of the freaking water. Totally. Oh I love them. <3

I'm hoping they put more touring dates up soon. I'm going to be making a trip to Vegas sometime this year and I would love for them to hit Vegas so I can plan my trip around that time.

I've seen 3DG three times in my life and needless to say that they easily made my Top 5 list of the best shows I've seen in my life.

I liked Three Days Grace, I loved One-X, fell in love with Life Stars Now, and I just can't stop listening to Transit Of Venus. Even though these albums are really different, each one is special for me 'cause they all represent some part of my life, they are link forever with my memories.

«I Don't Care» by Apocalyptica feat. Adam Gontier is still my favorite song of all time. Everytime they do this song at a show, I go nuts!

I can't wait to see them again and sing my lungs out! Mr. Green

You know what? I think you just perfectly summed up the reason why I love THree Days Grace as well. I've also gotten to see them three times and I met them once. Sweet dudes, and I agree, one of the best live shows I've ever seen. Barry's guitar pick that I got at a show almost 5 years ago still lives in my wallet. XD I really wanna see them in a couple months with Shinedown, but the closest they're playing to me is 100 miles away, and while I could make the drive if I wanted to, I have other life priorities that are keeping me from going to a lot of concerts these days.

One-X is still my favorite album by them, and I am slightly disappointed in Transit of Venus, but I still love it, because some of the songs do relate to my life.

One-X is one of the best album I own. And at first, I didn't really like Transit Of Venus.... But in the last few days, I took the time to really listen to it and I have to say it rocks big time! Broken Glass is my favorite right now!

Adam left the band. Cry Cry Cry

The band posted this on their FB page today:

Further to our press release of this morning we wanted to write to you directly our fans about the news of the day.

We appreciate everyone’s concern about Three Days Grace. We found out on December 21st that Adam wished to resign from the band. In a letter to us Adam indicated that he was resigning from the band due to a non life threatening health issue and wanted the band to continue moving forward without him. We were as shocked as many of you were to hear the news. Three Days Grace has always been and will continue to be not only our job but our passion. Instead of cancelling the tour, we felt an obligation to you, the fans, to forge ahead and put on the best show we can. Brad recently reached out to his brother Matt Walst, lead singer for My Darkest Days to fill in for the tour dates already announced. We've been hanging out and rehearsing with Matt and look forward to rocking the stage in a few weeks! As of right now, Matt's role is temporary and as far as the future and beyond this tour, we are taking it one day at a time. - 3DG

So I'm guessing he left to pursue a solo career. That's what it seems when you read what he posted on his own FB page.

ADAM GONTIER’S “ADDRESS OF RESIGNATION” FROM THREE DAYS GRACE

To all of my fans, my friends, my family, these are my words coming from my heart, separate from my role as “lead singer of Three Days Grace”.

I want you all to know how very thankful I am for your consistent love, your respect, and you’re undying support. It is important for me to address any concerns regarding my health being connected to drugs or addiction. The truth is, when I was struggling during that dark time in my life, I hit rock bottom, and I had the kindest of people reach out from all over the world, and reach their hands out to help pick me up. I am so blessed to be walking in the light now. I am reminded of your loyalty, always. The truth is, and I’m very proud to say this..., I am sober. That chapter in my life is over.

There have been many defining moments in my life. My time as part of Three Days Grace is most definitely one of the miraculous ones. I have had so many tender hearted people share with me their stories. How I’ve touched, or changed their lives. My truth is that all of the love I have received has forever changed my life. Each letter I’ve read, every picture I’ve been sent, all of the voices I’ve heard sing along with me, I will forever remember, and never forget...

After twenty years of being part of an ever evolving band, I have been inspired by life, to move on and to continue to evolve on my own terms. I could not be more grateful for all the souls who have travelled along with me. A journey I look back on with integrity, and a future I look forward to with such hope. I have always admired brave hearts. Life is always changing. I will continue to follow my heart, and what I love to do. I’m not sure what the next horizon will look like, but I do have all the faith in the world that whatever it is, It’s meant to be, and I have faith that blessings will continue to shine over all of us. I once heard a “brave heart” say:

“When nothing is sure, everything is possible.”

It’s because of my life’s journey, because of all of you, that I believe.

Methinks that Adam had a falling out with the guys and quit the band. Considering he posted this to FB today: Where he essentially seemed to say that the band has sold out, and he doesn't want to be a part of it anymore. It's sad that he's left, but I'm excited to see what his solo stuff sounds like.

I know everyone's been waiting for a post/response from me, to the recent situation between Three Days Grace and I. I've got so many things I'd love to say, but this is Facebook, and out of RESPECT, I'm not going to get into any of it right now. The one thing I can say publicly, is that I am so thankful for the outpouring of love and support from all of my fans, and that I AM NOT done making music. This is just the tip of the iceberg for me (and you) ..., trust me on that! I will have new music coming soon, and I can say, honestly, it's the best music I've EVER created. I'm so excited for you to hear it! I'll close with this for now. I am so disappointed in myself for believing, after all these years, that the ones I truly believed were closest to me, are, were, and have always been the farthest away from me. Just pick up. Move on. Pretend nothing happened. Not ONE call, text, email to see how your so called "friend" is doing. It's sad, but it is what it is. The music BUSINESS. Remember this people..., in my/our case, it's always been about the "business". The money. What about the love for creating real music from the heart? Where did that fit in? Pretty much nowhere. No room for music from the heart, when it's just about music for the radio. Lastly, stay tuned for my new music. It's real. Honest. Not fake. It's from my soul. Which is exactly the same place that I keep all of you. In my soul.

I got to see Three Days Grace live lately and even if I dislike Matt as a singer, the songs still make me go nuts! The lyrics still have the same power over me. I was jumping and singing during the whole show. I had to get over the fact that Matt looked like a mix of Criss Angel and The Joker from Batman... He does the same thing over and over on stage but I got to say that his voice sometimes sounds a little like Adam's. Still a good show but I miss Adam. And I miss when he sang ''I Don't Care''. But hey, I will still love TDG and I will love what Adam is doing in solo!!

Is it sad that even with them being my favorite band for the past 5 years, I find myself loving some songs more when Matt sings them, then when I listen to the cds and it's Adam? Probably cause even before it all happened, my favorite singer in this world was Matt and not Adam. But like it makes me so happy that I can't. So uhm, lets say that them changing singing didn't at all change my love for them, it kinda made it bigger.
