Grim as Ever.

"Lots of different stuff." Brian smiled, "My favorite thing to do is go on runs in the woods, I always go once in the morning and once in the evening." Ever since being changed, Brian found it helped a lot with the transformation if he stayed in tip top shape. "Other than that I have a lot of hobbies, I like to paint and practice different instruments and I have a dog that takes up a lot of my time." He smiled.

Morgana sat up a little straighter at the knowledge that Matt could play instruments. "Really?" She smiled, her interest peaking. "By a little do you actually mean just a little or are you just being humble?" She smiled, her eyes lighting up. "...Maybe we could play together some time."

Nikki nodded as she listened, hearing him mention instruments, she looked at him, “What do you play?” She asked, before adding, “I play piano, well I used to, I haven’t had much time to play lately.” She took a sip of her lemonade, “What kind of dog do you have?”

“Honestly, I’m probably being a little humble. I’m better at piano than I am with guitar,” Matt laughed softly. “I think playing together would be fun,” he told her with a smile as he drank his beer.

"Mostly guitar." Brian smiled, "And my dog is an Australian shepherd, named Teddy." He laughed. He started cutting into his steak, making sure to keep checking out the window. The sun was still above the horizon, but not by much. They still had a little bit of time. "Maybe you can come over sometimes and meet him." Brian smirked.

Morgana blushed a little, she always had a thing for musicians. She picked up her julep and took a sip, wishing it had a little more mint. "The piano is a beautiful instrument to master though, I always had a hard time trying to learn that one." She smiled.

“Well, if the chance ever comes about, I’d love to hear you play sometime and meet him,” Nikki said as she ate her food. She was really hoping to get the chance to see him play sometime.

Matt couldn’t help smirking slightly when he noticed her blush, “Well, come by sometime, I’d love to give you a few tips, maybe they’d help you learn to play it.” Morgana had caught Matt’s interest now that she was opening up a bit.

Brian smiled, "Hed love you." He insisted, eating another bite of his steak. The evening went on and the four of them chatted back and forth, getting to know each other. After about forty minutes, Brian felt Matt boring a hole in the side of his head and he looked outside, seeing how dark it had gotten. Shit. he thought.

"Well ladies, it was nice having this dinner with you, but I think it's time we get you home." Brian smiled, throwing cash down on the table to pay for the food.

Morgana looked up at Brian, actually a little upset he was already calling for an end to their dinner date. Could she call it that? Her cheeks were flushed and her head was a little light from the two alcoholic drinks she had consumed during the hour. She followed the groups example when everyone stood up. Brian walked away with Nichole and she looked up at Matt as they went.

"Yanno, I was actually hesitant to come here with you guys tonight, but I'm glad I did." She smiled.

Nichole was a little disappointed that they were ending dinner so soon. There was so much more she wanted to know about Brian, but she smiled and stood up with him. As they walked out, she looked over at him, “Thank you, I appreciate the tour and the dinner. I had fun.” She could tell that both Matt and Brian were in a rush to get them home, she wondered why.

As they walked out, Matt looked at her, “Really? Me too.” He was actually thankful to Brian for dragging him out of his comfort zone so he could meet Morgana.

Brian smiled, "If you had so much fun then maybe I'll take you out again tomorrow night." He opened the car door for her and made sure she was inside before shutting it and getting in the drivers seat. He was happy this had gone so well and Nichole hadn't been boring or a snob. She seemed just like his type.

Morgana had gotten in the backseat of the car, looking over at Nichole with a thank you for making me do this kinda look. Brian drove them back to their house with directions Morgana gave him. When they got there, she was a little sad to actually have to get back out of the car, knowing that once she was back inside her room, her night was going to get much more boring.

“I’d like that,” Nichole said, giving him a smile before she got in. She looked over at Morgana and gave her a nod, knowing her sister had fun. Once they got to the house, she thanked Brian and got out, waiting for her sister before walking inside.

Matt looked at the sky as Brian drove the girls to their house, he said goodbye to Morgana and watched as the girls went into their house. “Cutting it just a little close tonight, huh?” He laughed slightly as he looked over at Brian.

Morgana walked inside with Nichole and took her boots off at the door. They were killing her feet. "That was- surprisingly fun." She smiled as their dad came out of the living room.

"Who was that dropping you girls off?" He smiled, happy they seemed to already be making friends. Morgana told him who as she grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. "Oh, the werewolves?" He joked, having already heard the ridiculous rumor about the boys at work.

Morgana raised an eyebrow, "Uh, what dad?"

Brian smiled, "You know I always do." He looked up at the moon making it's way up into the center of the sky, the sun now completely gone. He winced in pain, feeling a horrible headache coming on and his bones stiffen. "Fuck." He drove faster, in a hurry to get home.

Nichole kicked her shoes off by the door and listened as their dad spoke, “What are you talking about?” She asked, turning to look at him.

“Oh you girls haven’t heard yet?” Their dad laughed before continuing, “I heard about it at work, the other guys saying that the brothers that run the town are werewolves, how ridiculous is that?” He shook his head slightly.

Nikki looked over at Morgana, grabbing a bottle of water for herself, wondering just what was going on.

Matt held his head as his own headache started, “Fuck..” He didn’t understand how Brian could drive if his head hurt as bad as Matt’s. Feeling his bones start to get stiff, he felt a little relieved when he saw their home coming into sight.

Morgana frowned and opened her bottle of water and looked out the window at the glowing full moon in the sky and felt goosebumps pop up all over arms. "That's ridiculous." She agreed, shaking it off. "Stuff like that isn't real." She looked between her dad and Nichole.

His dad nodded, "I agree. It's just funny. But where did they take you? On a date?"

Morgana blushed bright red and frowned, "Daaad." She patted his shoulder and just ran upstairs to her room.

Brian pulled into the driveway and growled, "If I ever try to do something on a full moon again, kick me." He fell out of the car, quite literally, changing right there under the full moon. His bones made loud cracking sounds as they morphed and grew into a wolf life stature and dark brown fur sprouted all over his body. His face hurt the worst as his nose turned into a snout and his teeth were replaced by razor sharp canines. When the change was over, he was more than relieved. He stood up on his hind legs, placing a hairy hand on the car before shoving it closed and giving Matt a look before darting off into the woods.

Nikki shuddered slightly at the thought, but brushed it off, knowing it wasn’t real. She laughed and looked at their dad, “We just went to dinner, no big deal dad.” She ran a hand through her hair before going up to her room.

“Don’t worry, I will,” Matt said as he fell out as well. He groaned as his body went through the change. Light brown hair began sprout over his body, the change was over and followed Brian off into the woods.

The next morning, Morgana woke up in a sweat. She rolled over in her bed, pushing the heavy red blankets off of her body. Strangely enough, she had had a dream about Matt and werewolves but couldn't remember a thing about it. Thanks, dad.

She got out of her pajamas and got dressed, heading downstairs to see if there was anything for breakfast. She could hear the news playing in the living room. "A mans body has been found ripped to pieces in the Julienne Woods off Route 3. Patrols are out searching the woods for what they believe caused the attack, a grizzly bear."

Brian woke up, the sun cascading down his face. He hadn't made it inside his home, but he had managed to get back to the backyard patio. He laid on the cobblestone next to the back door, naked with blood coating his mouth and hands. He pushed himself up on his feet and caught his reflection in the glass. "God damnit." He pulled at his hair, hurrying inside to clean up. It hadn't been the first time he killed on a full moon, but it had been so long since he last had that he thought he had himself under control.

Nikki had slept horribly, so she was up early and had made breakfast for herself and her sister when she heard the news. She stopped what she was doing and looked at the tv screen, it wasn’t too far from their home.

She turned her attention to the stairs as her sister came down, “I made breakfast..” Nichole put the plate she made for her sister on the table before sitting down, “So now we have to worry about grizzly bears?” She sighed, shaking her head.

Matt had made it inside the house when Brian finally came in, he was making his way to the other shower. Blood coated his face, hands, and neck, he was sure there was more in his hair as he turned the shower on. He was trying to figure out what went wrong last night, they hadn’t lost control in so long.

"Thanks." Morgana said as she took the plate and sat down at the kitchen table "I know, that's really strange." She said as she picked up her fork. "Maybe it was just a one time occurrence?"

It didn't worry Morgana to much, it made her a little uncomfortable knowing it happened so close to their house, but what were the chances of being mauled by a bear? She ate her breakfast and looked up at Nichole. "Wanna do something today?"

Brian came out of the shower an hour later, trying to remember the events of last night. It all seemed like a blur. The only thing he remembered last was running off into the woods after changing. After there, he couldn't remember a thing. He walked down the stairs and rubbed his face, "Man, do you remember anything?"

“Maybe it was,” Nikki agreed as she ate her breakfast. They did live practically in the middle of a forest so there was bound to be some bears around.

Hearing her sister mention doing something, she look d at her, “What did you have in mind?” She asked as she finished her food and put her dishes in the sink.

Matt shook his head at Brian’s question, “I don’t, I barely remember getting home...” He sighed, looking over at him, “I don’t think we can cut that close again...it’s been so long since we’ve killed anyone, something isn’t right...”

Morgana thought for a minute, "There was a lot more to downtown that we didn't see last night. We could go walk around later?" She suggested. She was interested to see what kind of shops were down there. "Or we could go to the beach." They lived in walking distance of it.

She raked the rest of her food out into the trash and washed her plate. "I could also maybe see if any places are hiring." She needed to get another job since she wasn't going to college.

Brian frowned and nodded, "Yeah... I don't see why that would cause us to lose control, but it's the only thing different we did." He sighed and grabbed his jacket, "I guess I have some damage control to do." The last thing he wanted to do was go down to town and try to calm everyone over what they thought was an animal attack.

“I know, a walk sounds nice. Maybe hit the beach today and tomorrow we can check out the town?” Nikki suggested, she finished her glass of orange juice and rinsed it out.

She would probably be going back to college in the fall, but she was thinking about picking up a summer job, “Maybe I could find a job for the summer?” She asked, looking at Morgana.

“Honestly, I don’t think it would make a difference, but something had to have happened,” Matt said, running a hand through his hair. He watched Brian get his jacket, “You’re better with the people than I am, but I’ll go and see what the police reports say so far...”

Matt had made it his job to make sure he had a trusting relationship with the officers in their town. He never had any problems and they were used to him checking in when something terrible happened so he knew it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary.

Morgana smiled, "The beach sounds really nice. Let me go take a shower and we'll go." She put her plate in the cabinet after drying it off and heading up to the bathroom upstairs. She took a quick hot shower and got out, drying her hair quickly with the towel. That was the one nice thing about moving here, back where they used to live the closest beach was a few hour long drive.

She hurried into her bedroom and dug her bathing suit out and slid it on before putting on a pair of black leggings and jacket over top. Morgana came back downstairs, "Nikki? You ready?"

Brian hurried outside and got into his car, hurrying on down to downtown, seeing the search party had given up for a few minutes to get lunch. He parked his car and got out, seeing the beachfront behind the restaurant they had stopped at.

"Hey, fellows." He said casually, walking up to them. "So you think it was a bear attack? Find anything?" He spent the next half hour assuring that he would help them get to the bottom of this.

Nikki laughed softly as she ran up the stairs and found her bathing suit and put it on. She grabbed a t-shirt and pair of leggings before walking out to meet Morgana. “Let’s go, I can’t wait for this,” she laughed softly, running a hand through her hair.

It had been awhile since they went to the beach, mostly because it was such a drive to get there.

Matt grabbed his keys and made his way to his car, driving to the police station. He saw the sherif was still there and walked in, “Hey guys.” He gave them his usual smile, “So, a bear attack? Is anyone else missing?” He wanted to make sure no one else was going to be out in the woods.

To be honest, he was scared that someone else had been out there and that it would be a matter of time before another body showed up.
