@ A Drop On the Window

Kendra laid next to Shade in bed. She was curled up next to him while he slept, in her human form. Insomnia plagued her lately due to her anxiety, she felt like something bad was going to happen to her or her master. Her alt form was an artic white fox. Her light blue collar was around her neck. Shade told her that she could take it off but she like it, it was the first present he gave her so she wore it all times.

Ember woke up after a nightmare that was sort of like a vision. She relaxed a bit when she saw Lee sleeping beside her. Her fingers traced his chest, just watching him breath. It felt like something soon was going to separate them but she didn't know what or how to stop it. After a few moments, she got up and walked downstairs to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

Shade lay on his bed in a relaxed slumber. He felt safe around Kendra, he knew how devoted to him she was, and knew she wouldn't let anything happen to him. He had found her years ago and bonded instantly. She looked so cute with her collar around her neck, it let people know she was his.

He stretched his muscles, draping his arm over her. His eyes fluttered open, "morning Kendra," he moaned softly. He leant down and kissed her forehead. He had been sensing something worrying for awhile, which is why he insisted that she stay with him, they were better together.

Lee was sleeping rather loudly, he had opted to sleep in his animal form. He was a large brown bear, growling away lightly. His chest shook lightly as Ember's fingers traced over it, her touch always managed to calm him. He had been with her for ages, and enjoyed her presence greatly.

He shot awake quickly, sensing she had left. He made his way onto his paws, and padded his way downstairs, with a lot of difficulty.

Kendra closed her eyes as she stayed closed to him. “Morning” she said softly, purring softly when he kissed her head. She normally slept in animal form but last night they were intimate and she was too exhausted to change back. She felt safe in her master’s arms. “How did you sleep?” She asked softly, pulling the blanket over them more. She didn’t like her human form very much. She liked being intimate with him but she didn’t think her human form was beautiful. Insecurities got to her at time.

Ember got some water and sat thinking. A smiled appeared on her face when she heard lee come down stairs. “Morning sweetheart. How did you sleep?” She asked him when he came into the kitchen. She went and grabbed his favorite food. “There’s breakfast” she said softly.

Shade smiled and pulled her close. "I slept okay, how about you?" he asked. He ran his hand down her back slowly. He loved when she got intimate with him, it was a surreal experience. He was still naked from the night before. He knew she disliked her human form, and was trying to get her to see how beautiful it was.

Lee made his way over to her and rubbed up against her. He loved how she always treated him with respect, even when he was in his animal form. He growled softly, "Good, you smelled good last night," he communicated in bear, knowing she'd understand it. He moved over to the food and began eating it slowly.

Kendra looked up at him as she felt his hand go up and down her back. "nightmares again" She said before laying her head on his chest, covering her body more. Her blue eyes closed as she tried to relax. "Any plans today?" then asked softly after a few moments of silence.

Ember smiled when he rubbed against her. "Glad you like my scent darling" she said to him as she watched him. She waited until he began eating before making her own plate. She then sat down and started to eat her breakfast.

Shade frowned gently hearing her mention of nightmares. He continued to stroke her back like you would an animal. He smiled gently, "that's troubling, hopefully I'll be able to figure out what the source is," he said softly. He kissed her forehead, "I was thinking that today, we could go hunting, or stay in and do some research," he suggested.

Lee ate the food quickly, growling happily. After he finished he moved to the door and sat by it watching her, it was his usual guarding stance if they were in her home. He waited for her to finish eating for asking "What's on your mind?"

Kendra watched him with her bright blue eyes. She was trying to hide her anxiety but she knew she couldn't hide it from him. They had a deep bond and could tell what the other was feeling. "I think we should stay in" she said softly, looking at him. She turned back into a white fox when she heard a noise. Her ears perked up, listening. She didn't hear the noise again so she curled back up to Shade. Familiars were powerful in their animal state but vulnerable in their human form. She didn't like being vulnerable around others.

Ember finished her breakfast before looking over at lee. She sipped her water. "Just been having a feeling that something is wrong" she said softly. She tried to stay strong for him but it was so hard for her to hide. "I think we should go hunting but we have to be careful" she said softly. She didn't want to be separated from Lee. Familiars need to stay with their master/mistress or they would lose their power and become weak. Plus Lee was also her lover, only in human form of course. It was normally frowned upon but it made them closer.

Shade smiled softly at her, "Okay we can stay in, but we'll need to go hunting eventually," he told her. He made his way to the closet and pulled on his robes finally.

He noticed her switch forms and looked over at her quickly, "What is it?" he asked softly. He could sense something was off, but still couldn't place it.

Lee looked at her, he could sense her uneasiness. It was throwing him, she was usually so sure of herself. He stood up onto his paws and stared at her "hunting sounds good," he admitted with a grunt. He moved over to her side.
Lee despised being apart from her, it always hurt him so much, she was the light of his life, and distance always made him more feral.

Kendra heard the noise again. “I keep hearing a noise” she said in her language that she knew he would understand. Her hearing was really good. She jumped down and walked to the window, looking outside. There was men standing. “Men outside” she then added before barking. Lot of the times, her bark especially she was a wolf would scare away intruders. Her bark was a bit more high pitched than a dogs. Her blue eyes focused on the intruders to see if there was any movement.

Ember smiled softly when he went to her side. Her hand gently rubbed his head. She really didn’t want to go hunting but they were almost out of food. Having lee next to her, made her feel safe. She knew that he would protect her no matter and she would protect him as well. “I guess I better get dressed” she said with a small laugh since she was in still in her robe. She got up and headed upstairs, knowing Lee was right behind her following her.

Shade looked over at her, and frowned. He was extremely concerned, he made his way over to the window peering out. The men imminated purpose, they knew what they were doing here. He looked at Kendra, it concerned him, he wanted her to be safe. He made his way over to the counter picking up his staff, getting ready for a fight. "Stay here, whatever happens," he said.

Lee snuffled lightly when she rubbed his head. He followed her up the stairs playfully headbutting her bum as she moved in front of him. She was his everything. He only hoped that her hunch was wrong this time, not that it had ever been.

Kendra looked over at him as he walked over to get his staff. She wanted to object, wanting to protect him from whatever the men had planned. There was all of a sudden a man walking upstairs. “Come here foxy” he said. She looked over at shade. “I know you are hiding behind a warlock little one” he added as he walked towards the door.

Ember smiled as she felt him head butt her ass. “I actually want to make it out of this house” she said with a soft laugh. She knew lee was trying to play and make her feel better. She just couldn’t shake a feeling that she got. Once she walked back into their bedroom, she stripped down and changed into T-shirt and jeans

Shade frowned hearing the man taunt her, "Don't let him get to you," he said softly. He waved his hand over the staff pulling a globe of crackling light out of it. He headed to the door ready to attack the intruder. As he reached the door the door was kicked into him knocking him over.

Lee grunted and followed her, he sat down and let her change, keeping his eyes on her. He purred lightly, when she strippe naked, 'God you're sexy," he mumbled.

Kendra stayed behind Shade, wanting to attack the intruder but she didn't want to disobey her master. Her eyes went to shades form as he was thrown down. "Oh there is the pretty thing" the intruder. She started growling and jumped on him, taking a bite out of him before jumping down. She whimpered as she walked over to Shade. "You bitch you bit me" he said before walking over to her. She stood in front of Shade, growling more and showing her teeth. "If you come near him, I will bite you again" she said in her language when she was sure he understood since she could sense magic on him

Ember smiled when she heard Lee compliment her. She walked over to him. "Thank you Darling" she said softly. She was stalling, really not wanting to go outside but they were almost out of food and Lee ate alot of meat along with fruit. Her eyes shifted to the floor, feeling scared of what was to come. She didn't like this feeling at all.

Shade sat up and unleashed a force of energy towards the intruder. The magic seemed to weave around Kendra perfecting, leaving he unharmed, but it knocked the intruder back out the door. Shade continued to get to his feet. "Kendra, are you okay?" he asked softly. He was concerned for her safety.

Lee could sense her trepidation, he rubbed up against her. "It'll be fine," he said softly. He nudged her back towards her clothes, knowing they needed to go hunting, even despite how much he enjoyed seeing her naked. He sat back in the corner sniffing the air.

Kendra watched as Shade shot at the intruder. She relaxed when he walked over to her, nodding before rubbing herself against his leg. "A little sore but okay" she said to him. She knew more men were coming. Her ears perked up and she got in front of shade, growling as she heard another man come up the stairs.

Ember nodded, wanting to believe Lee and tried to shake off the feeling. She snapped out of it when he rubbed up against her once more, slipping on her Jeans along with a tshirt. "I am ready when you are" she said softly.

Shade moved with her towards the door, "Who are these people?" he asked softly. He looked down the stairs at the next man coming upstairs.

Lee nodded softly, and carefully padded his way back downstairs. He waited by the door for her to open it.

Kendra stayed in front of her master, focused on the door. "I don't know" she said. She then felt something hit her and then she was down with a yelp. She then started whining, feeling pain fill her body. It felt like she was shot with a bullet.

Ember walked downstairs, trying to push her anxiety to the side for now. She was still worried but was trying to hide it. She walked out with Lee, keeping close to him. Her eyes wandered around the woods that surrounded the house.

Shade launched another attack towards the intruders. He was trying desperately to hold them off. As he noticed Kendra collapse beside him, the momentary distraction left him open. He felt a sharp pain in the back of the head, and his vision went blurry. He gasped collapsing next to Kendra, trying to move over to protect her from whoever these people were. Moments later he lost consciousness.

Lee followed her out of the house, he immediately began sniffing the ground, searching for any foreign scents. He moved away from Ember slightly so he could pick up any other scents more easily. Her scent was one he could pick up from miles away.

On the wind, Lee smelled the scent of something strange. He growled softly, 'there's something odd out there," he communicated to Ember. His eyes and ears focusing on the area, to keep her safe.

Kendra felt herself lose consciousness. She was sent into a dreamless slumber, her heart heavy. She woke up a few hours later inside a van. Her eyes looked around at two strange drivers. She could barely move at the moment, figuring she was still drugged. Master, are you okay? she sent a message to him through her mind. She had to know that he was okay.

Ember went to a berry bush, knowing that Lee wouldn't be far behind her. She stopped when she heard him growl. Immediately, she went into defensive mode. Her eyes drifted to a van in the distance. "Lee we need to go back inside" she said, feeling her stomach drop.
