Hiding behind his words | Closed

Carly felt like the next week went incredibly slow, as she counted down the hours until she would see Benjamin. She hoped she might maybe get the space to introduce him to some of her friends too if he was up for it. She didn't bother sending him any messages or letters, knowing it would make seeing him even better if she didn't.

As the day approached Benjamin was more and more excited to see her. He finished packing his bag, and headed to the train station. Once on the train, he messaged Carly, on his phone, "Currently inbound, meet you at work?" he asked, realising he had never been to her place.

Carly saw the message,a bright smile washing across her face. She had been in such a good mood all morning the thought of seeing him today. "I'll come meet you at the station, I've booked an extra long lunch saying I needed to meet a client" she sent back, checking her watch to make sure she would get there in time.

Benjamin grinned at her reply, "that sounds perfect," he said softly. He sat back a relaxed until the train pulled into the station, he was nervous. He made his way out lookng for her.

Carly clutched her phone in her hand tightly as she glanced around the station waiting for him. Words couldn't even describe the sense of elation that filled her when she saw his tall form walk of of the platform. She began to rush towards him quickly, running in to his arms and wrapping herself around him."I missed you so much" she said, her head buried against his chest.

Benjamin hugged her, as she approached him. "Oh my Carly, as stunning as always," he said holding her tight. He kissed her head lightly, "I missed you also," he said. He released his hold, "how has work been?" he asked.

Carly held on to him for a few seconds more, just taking in his scent and his presence. She hasn't even realised how much she missed him until she saw him. She took a step back to look up at him, slipping her hand in to his. "Work is fine, incredibly busy.. they are hassling me for a rough manuscript from you" she admitted. Given the success of the media work she had done on his last book, Carly had been made project manager in this new one at the request of somebody higher up. She wondered if it had been Ben who made that request but she never asked, wanting to believe she got there on her own merit.

"J was thinking I can bring you back to mine to drop off your bags and we could go grab some food?" She suggested.

Benjamin held her tight, lifting her up slightly, before placing her back down. He smiled at her, looking her over, "that sounds perfect, dangerous, but perfect," he teased. He took her hand, walking with her. He patted his suitcase lightly, "I do have the first draft, I want your opinion first, before I tell them that it's done," he said. He knew at this stage, if the book was bad, he could still pull out of the deal, it would cost him, but it was better that than put out something sub par.

Carly giggled as he picked her up, gazing up in to his handsome eyes as he spoke. "Keep your hands to yourself Babe, I'm hungry" she teased back, poking his side a little with a laugh as they walked.

"Wait it's done, you have it with you?" Carly asked, excitement clear in her voice. It was at times like these she almost forgot that Benjamin was her boyfriend and she just got excited to be the first person to read his new material. "I can't wait to read Been" she told him with a smile, giving his hand a squeeze as she lead him down in to the tube station.

Benjamin grinned and followed with her. He looked her over, "Okay fine, as long as you promise, I can do what I've been wanting to do for months, later," he teased.

He nodded, "yeah I have it with me, I just hope it's good," he said lightly. He held her close as they rode the tube, towards her place.

Carly looked at him with a cheeky grin, leaning in to kiss him, leaving her lips lingering close to his. "Oh believe me you can" she teased softly, letting her hand rest against his though for a second. She had missed his touch so much. Almost 4 months was an awful long time to go without sex.

"I bet it's amazing Benji, the first few. Chapters you sent me we're great" she told him honestly, leaning in as he help her close. "This is my stop!" She announced as the tub began to slow Down and she pulled him out the double doors and back up towards the street.

Benjamin blushed lightly, "Okay," he said softly. He smiled, "well I'm glad you liked them," he said. He followed her out of the tube. "Okay, show me the way to your lovely abode," he said softly.

Benjamin followed her through the streets, holding her close, he was enjoying having the scent of her around him again. He truly did, just want to rip her clothes off.

Carly felt like a giddy child having him around her right now, smiling at absolutely everybody they passed o the way to her Apartment. Once there she unlocked the door for them, pulling her hair back out of her face. "it's not big.. but it's home" she told him, a soft blush warming over her cheeks. She had never felt embarrassed of her apartment before, but now that Benjamin stood in it it look far smaller and outdated than she had ever noticed before.

"My room is just through that door if you want to put your bags down" she instructed.

Benjamin smiled softly, looking around the place. It was cute, and not extravagant, he quite liked it. He looked at Carly and nodded softly. He moved over to the door, and placed his bag down. He turned around to her, "I like your place, it reminds me of home," he admitted.

Carly smiled happily, brushing her brown hair behind her ear as she watched him move. "Thank you, I've tried my best to make it my own. There is only so much you can do when your renting" she told him with a little laugh. She was so happy to have him here with her.

"I'm so happy to have you here. I can't wait to read the book too!" She added, bubbling with a nervous excitement. It had been so long since she last saw him.

Benjamin smiled brightly, and placed his bags down looking around the place again. "I'm glad you're excited," he said softly. He moved over towards her and lent in kissing her cheek lightly. "How has work been?" he asked softly.
