Carly smiled as she listened to him., briefly wedging the phone between her ear and shoulder so she could hold up a few dresses in front of her in the mirror. She sighed, neither of them seemed right.

"I wouldn't expect you to know that.. you don't know that much about me... Maybe you'll learn" she teased gently with a soft laugh and decided to give up on the dresses for now, throwing them down on the bed.

she was pleased when he said he didn't want it to be formal... it felt almost like a date. "Yes that's fine, lunch first business second" she replied with a smile triling her brunnette hair on her finger. "So is this a date?" she teased, her cheeks flushing as she said it... she really needed to stop drinking when in contact with Benjamin.

Benjamin chuckled lightly, 'Well I would very much enjoy getting to know you better Carly," he said seductively. He absently stroked his chin. He was wondering what she'd be wearing tomorrow.

Ben laughed lightly, "I suppose one could call it that, I would go with two consenting adults enjoying each others company," he said softly. He lay back, "what are you thinking about Carly?" he asked curious.

Carly could feel her cheeks growing red , and all he had said was he wanted to get to know her- How was she supposed to face him in person.

She giggled, sitting herself on the edge of the bed as they spoke "Yes two perfectly consenting adults" she teased, suddenly caught off guard by his question. "I guess I'm thinking about you, and who you might be" she said gently, her mind suddenly drawing a blink, like when someone asks you for an example on the spot. "What are you thinking about?"

Benjamin lay back, trying to get comfortable, his mind picturing different style choices she might go with.

He sighed lightly, "Well you know who I am, what are you worried about?," he asked gently. He shifted in his spot, "I'm just thinking about what I think you'll look like tomorrow, I have so little to go off of," he admitted lightly.

"I'm not worried, I'm just curious about the face that goes with the voice" Carly said gently, looking over the dresses on her bed once again. She wanted to look good, but not like she was trying too hard.

"What do you think I'll look like?" she asked, curious as to what he thought she was like based on her letters. "What age do you think I am?" she asked. Carly knew she was quite young for her proffession, and she hoped that it wouldn't scare benjamin or make him think she was incapable of marketing his book.

Benjamin chuckled, "Well I like to think that I am not unattractive, but whether you agree with that is your opinion," he admitted. He was worried she wouldn't like him though.

"Well from you're letters, and our phone calls, I'm picturing an Attractive young lady, I haven't decided on blonde or brunette just yet," he admitted. He stretched his legs out slightly, "I would go with somewhere in your twenties," he guessed.

Carly chuckled "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all" she said softly, teasing him gently as she lay back in the bed. letting her eyes close as she spoke to him, trying to picture what the man on the other end might look like.

she "mmhmm'd" along as he spoke,, he was right about her being in her twenties. "I think you are... dark haired, tall... perhaps with freckles? and I think you may be in your mid thirties" she comments, biting gently on her thumb.

Benjamin sat up, he was really enjoying speaking with her openly. 'That it is, I just hope I stack up to your standards," he commented. He closed his eyes picturing her, again.

Ben laughed, "3 out of 4 isn't too bad," he teased. He wasn't planning on telling her which one she'd gotten wrong either, he'd leave it as a surprise. He bit his lip slightly, 'Carly, I would love to chat all night, but it is getting late," he commented softly. He didn't want to stop talking, but he needed to get some sleep and it was past midnight at this point.

Carly smiled hearing she had gotten some right ''Yes i agree, I need to get my beauty sleep to make sure I look at least half as good as you are probably overestimating me to be'' she joked, gently picking up a dress for tomorrow that was casual but still sophistacated.

''I look forward to seeing you tomoorow'' she told him gently before hanging up and climbing in to bed.

Benjamin nodded softly, "I'm sure you are extremely beautiful Carly," he said softly. He sighed softly, "Yes I look forward to meeting you in person," he said lightly, before letting the phone go dead.

He stood up and walked over to his suitcase, debating what he should wear tomorrow.

Carly lay her head down, and was asleep within a few moments, the glasses of wine had her ready for sleep. She had set her alarm for a few minutes earlier tomorrow morning to make sure she would be looking well for Benjamin.

Benjamin picked out an outfit, a very casual suit with a warm overcoat and scarf. He set it to the side, and made sure his paragraph for her was tucked in it's pocket. He then climbed into the bed and drifted to sleep.

In the morning planned to get to Macmillan around 11am.

Carly got up the following morning doing her usual natural make up with her red lip, and she lightly curled her hair, a lot more effort than she would usually make.

She changed In to her dress and pulled on her coat and scarf before heading to Mamillan. She spent the morning working on getting back to sgop's enqueries on the release of the book, every knock on her door she looked up excitedly hoping to see Benjamin.

Benjamin woke around nine. He ordered breakfast in his room, and went back to writing some more short excerpts for his favourite entries. He compiled them all together ready to take them in the next day, along with his list of winners.

He then showered ensuring to use his cologne, and got dressed in his laid out outfit. He left his hotel room, and headed to MacMillan, entering the lobby at 11am. He spent a few moments talking to the receptionist, refusing to give her his name, just insisting that be was expected by Carly Rose.

Carly looked up to see one of the interns at her door. "Green tea and lemon Leon, thanks" she stayed, giving him a taut smile before glancing back at her work.

"Ah no Carly, I was just told that this is your 11am appointment?@ he said and stood back to reveal a man behind him. Carly stood smiling, she wondered if it was Ben but she hadn't been expecting him so early. "Hi, Carly Rose. How can I help you?" She asjed, extending her hand to him.

Benjamin grinned and stepped into her office and shook her hand, "morning, Ms. Rose," he began. He waited until the intern left the office before introducing himself. "Benjamin Peterson, Its a pleasure to meet you," he said. He moved further into the office looking around.

She was far more beautiful than he had pictured.

Carly's mountain h dropped as the man began to speak, his voice immediately registering with her. She watched as the intern left, a smile spreading across her face as her cheeks gently flushed. He was not at all what she had pictures, he was much more strikingly handsome.. she had had him pegged as your typical wide framed glasses 30-something year old author.

"The pleasure is all mine Benjamin, believe me. Please take a seat" she offered, taking a seat at her own side of the desk, her heart racing in her chest. "I'm so glad to finally meet you in person"

Benjamin smiled and made his way to the seat and sat down. "Your offices are certainly something, I've never been in," he admitted lightly. He crossed one leg over the other, as his eyes scanned over her again. "So as I mentioned on the phone, today is just about getting to know you, and maybe having a look around," he said lightly.

He looked around her office curious.

Carly found herself at a loss for words as she looked across the desk at him. She was actually sitting across from the Benjamin Peterson and he wanted to get to know her. "Yeah of course... I can show you the printing pres and.... I' so sorry. I'm just in absolute awe right now. Since I read your first ever book I've thought about getting to meet you, and we'll, here we are!" She told him happily, her cheeks glowing pink.

Benjamin chuckled gently, leaving her to her excitement. He was surprised by how her cheeks glowed a light shade of pink, it was adorable. He stepped forward, "Well thank you for that, I always thought my first book wasn't that good," he said lightly. He looked around the office again, "shall we head off now then?" he asked
