Madison loved New Orleans. Yes, it was the only place she's ever really known, but it was also perfect in her mind. It was her home, and the only thing that could've ever made it a better place was if Kol were there. She knew that wasn't a possibility though. They'd had their short period of time together but they were clearly not destined to be together. And she kind of hated Klaus for taking his brother away from her. After all, she may not have had proof that Klaus did anything to Kol Madison knew. She knew all about Klaus back then and she knew even more about him now given how much time she'd spent with Marcel. And well Klaus had a habit of daggering his siblings when they weren't doing what he wanted. Which even all these years later still sounded like the most absurd thing Madison had ever heard.

"You alright Mads?" She heard Marcel ask pulling her from her train of thought.

Madison ran her fingers through her hair and sighed. "Why are they here?" she asked referring of course to the two Originals who's waltzed back into town recently. "And what makes them so special? Why do they get to just walk into our town and think we owe them anything? It's Klaus' fault that we both lost the people we care about most. So why would we ever help him?" She said shaking her head. "Grace really isn't going to like them being back either. She's just as upset with them as we are."
Klaus was honestly happy to be back in New Orleans. He wasn't happy with the thought that Marcel and Madison thought they were in charge around here. Or that they had the audacity to tell him it was their town. He'd built this town with his family. And in his eyes, neither one of them had any right to the 'throne'. New Orleans was his. But Klaus was willing to do whatever he had to in order to restore balance. First, he had to figure out their organization. Because they somehow had control over the witches, he'd put together that they had to have some kind of secret weapon, which he wanted to get his hands on, and for whatever reason, he'd picked up on a lot of hostility from Madison and he'd like to know why. He, of course, remembered her from 1919. She'd been Kol's gal of the time, and shockingly enough Klaus hadn't thought she was a total bore. Really, he'd actually been quite impressed that his brother had been able to find a human that Klaus didn't despise. But as far as he knew he hadn't truly done anything to make her hate him as much as he'd been picking up on anyways.

"I'll be back late brother. I'm going to have a little chat with my dear friend Marcel and do a little bit more digging," Klaus called as he grabbed his jacket and made his way out the door and towards the Quarter.

Grace had made New Orleans her home a long time ago, and even after the Mikaelson clan had left her once again, she still continued to call it home. Marcel and Madison had become family to Grace, and she was so thankful for them because she wasn’t sure what she would have done without them. Klaus had been her everything since they were children, and the majority of her life had been spent searching for him and being left by him. She didn’t want anything to do with him or the Original family anymore. Of course, she was part of Klaus’s bloodline, but that meant nothing to her anymore. She paused when she reached the bottom of the stairs, smiling at Madison and Marcel, “Who am I just as upset with as you?” She questioned. “The Mikaelson family.” Marcel replied. Grace glared lightly before she huffed, “I’m not upset with them. I just want nothing to do with them anymore. I wasted the majority of my life on them, and I’m over it.”

Grace knew that deep down, she would always love Klaus, but he had pushed her away one too many times, and she was done being walked on. The two had always shared a connection, but he was always too infatuated with one of the Petrova doppelgängers to be interested in Grace, at least until she found the family in New Orleans in the 1900’s. Then Mikael came and ruined everything.

    --

Kol thought about Madison every day. He had met many girls in his thousand years on the Earth, but none of them ever really stuck with him like Madison had. There was just something about her that he couldn’t place his finger on, but he kept her around at least until Klaus daggered him and stuffed him in a coffin for a century. When he woke up in Mystic Falls, the first thing he wanted to do was search for Madison, but he had no idea where to start let alone means of doing so. It took him a bit to get adjusted to this new age, but he quickly found his way around but was constantly being pulled back in by his family. All he wanted was to find Madison, and he was never able to find her before he was killed. When he was brought back as a witch, he couldn’t even think about trying to find her. She would never believe that it was him, or even possibly love him again. So as a witch, he kept his distance and watched from afar, making sure she was alright and was being taken care of.

Then he died again. He just wanted to be himself again so he could go back to Madison, and now he was, but he hadn’t made contact yet. There was something holding him back from going to reconnect with her, and he couldn’t figure out exactly what it was. Kol knew he needed to because she was the only girl he could ever love and that would probably ever love him, but it had been so long, he just wasn’t sure if she wanted to see him again.

(IM SO SORRY IM THE WORST PERSON EVER!!! I'm just now getting around to even having a bit of time for Mibba anymore. Work has slammed me harder than I thought it would, but I'm going to be working on getting posts out, so I promise I'm not ditching you)

[ you're fine! Honestly, I'm the same way sometimes. I mean I work a full-time job plus do so many extra things on the side both with my church and with my friends, that there are days when I only have the time and energy to reply to one if any roleplays. I mean it happens to best of us. ]

It didn't take Klaus very long at all to arrive at the compound and he did plan on getting some answers. He knew that Marcel and his apparent crew were up to something huge. He'd put that together the moment he'd arrived in town though. Because well, why would Marcel need to have some weird control over the witches like he did unless he was up to something. Klaus wasn't exactly sure what he was up to though. Honestly, Klaus was kind of still shocked to even see Marcel. He had actually thought that he'd died all those years ago when he and his family had been ran out of New Orleans. So of course, it was quite a shocker to come home only to find someone he'd thought he'd never see again running the place with a couple of others Klaus had thought had surely perished by now.

"Marcel!" Klaus called when he'd walked in and decided to kind of stand in the middle of the room and wait for the man he wanted to see. "I've come to talk with you, so if you'd be ever so kind," he said crossing his arms. There were quite a few things that Klaus couldn't stand in life, and this apparently was one of them. He didn't like coming back to New Orleans only to find it in the hands of someone else. And while he was happy that Marcel hadn't actually died all those years ago, he wasn't pleased to find out that Marcel was under the impression that somehow this city was his. He didn't like that Marcel and Madison, thought they could keep him, Klaus Mikaelson out of the loop on things. He really didn't like that they were considereing themselves the king and queen Klaus assumed of the town. This was Klaus' town, and he would take it back from them, even if he had to do the worst to them both.
Madison leaned against the railing a little and watched Klaus as he walked right into their home, she glanced over at her friend when she heard her speak. "Well, apparently they want something from us," she said wishing that wasn't true. Sadly though the three originals left were all back in town and they were up to something, which meant that they'd want something. Klaus would likely be sniffing around trying to figure out all of their secrets and who knew what Elijah would end up doing. Rebekah was honestly the only one that Madison didn't mind seeing again. Mostly because Rebekah had always been on her side somehow, Madison also knew that even if she wasn't on their side this time around, she'd be the easiest one to get to if they really needed to take them down.

"Well, I'm out of here," Madison finally said pulling away from the railing and pushing her fingers through her hair. "You might not be upset with them but I still am. I can't even look at Klaus without simultaneously wanting to snap his neck and break down, so it's really not where I should be," she told them. And she knew why she was feeling this way. Because the last time she'd actually even been this close to Klaus it was when Mikael had come waltzing into town back in 1919. It was when Klaus had daggered Kol and ripped him away from her for what would apparently be forever. And at that point, she'd still been human so while it had been hard to handle the thought of never seeing him again she'd been okay. But then she'd let herself be turned because she'd let herself have hope that one way or another she'd be reunited with Kol one day. Only one day she heard that he'd died. "I still just miss him a lot," she whispered positive the pain she felt for the loss of her love would likely never fully go away. But day by day it did get a little better.

Grace frowned at Madison's words before sighing. Grace knew that was the only reason why Klaus would ever be waltzing back into New Orleans. It was the only thing that made any sense. When Grace looked over the balcony rail, she saw Klaus marching down the street toward their front door. She sighed again, wanting to avoid him as much as possible. When Madison said she was leaving, Grace understood why. Madison and Kol had loved each other so much, and Grace knew that losing Kol had practically broken Madison, "See you later." Grace said with a small smile before she heard Klaus yelling from the courtyard.

Grace looked over at Marcel before she used her vampire speed to run to the courtyard, "There is no need to yell, Niklaus. We can hear you perfectly fine." Grace said as she leaned against a pillar and looked over at the only man she's ever loved, "Is there something you need?" She asked and raised an eyebrow at him. Once Klaus had abandoned her for the fourth time back in 1919, Grace had decided she was done pining after him and constantly seeking out a relationship with him. She was a big girl of a thousand years old, and she was going to have to learn to be by herself.

    ---

Kol couldn't imagine what Madison must have gone through when she heard that he had died. It was one thing to be daggered and know that there was a possibility of one day waking up, but death was so final...well it should usually be final. In Kol's case, he just couldn't seem to stay dead, not that he wanted to stay dead, but he had kept being brought back. Now he was back in his old body, and he was set on a mission to find Madison and rekindle what they once had back in the 1900's. He just hoped that she hadn't moved on from him.

As he walked down the street to where his family's old home was, he saw familiar black locks walking out of the front gate. Kol could've sworn he felt himself stop breathing for a second. It was her. Madison was right in front of him after all this time, and he couldn't keep the smile from spreading on his face, "Madison!" He called as he hurried over to her happily. It had been far too long without his love, and the only thing he wanted at that moment was to just hold her in his arms again.

Klaus was honestly in shock when Grace walked down to greet him rather than Marcel. He honestly hadn't expected to see her ever again. Really the last time he'd seen her was in this same city back in 1919 before he and his family had been run out of town by their father. She looked well which was good he supposed so at least from seeing her now Klaus knew she'd been safe since he saw her last. He couldn't say that he'd missed her exactly because well he'd been rather busy over the last hundred years and there wasn't much time to sit around and think about old friends. That didn't mean she hadn't crossed his mind a time or two, because she had. He'd wondered now and again if she was okay, or where she might've been but he usually tried to push her from his thoughts as soon as she arrived in them anyways. The last thing Klaus needed since he'd seen her last after all was guilt of not knowing, or of thinking he could've done more. It was good to know though that she was okay.

"Hello Grace," Klaus said rather slowly wondering what was actually going on in this city even more now really. Because apparently not only were Marcel and Madison still here in New Orleans running around like they built the place and were the rightful 'rulers' but apparently they had Grace running around with them. And none of it made any sense to him really. "I see things may not have changed as much as I'd thought they had after all," he said refering to the fact that Grace, Marcel, and Madison were all apparently working together on this and if Klaus remembered correctly the three of them plus his dear brother Kol and sister Rebekah had all seemed to be rather closeish the last time he'd been there. So really the only difference now was there was no Kol or Rebekah.
Madison had only barely made it out of the compound when she heard a vaguely familiar voice saying her name, it was sad that she'd nearly forgotten what Kol sounded like but they had been apart for almost one-hundred years and at least she'd never forgotten his face. She was quick to turn around and see where the voice was coming from only to see him rushing towards her. And really Madison wasn't sure if she was dreaming an awfully cruel dream someone planted in her head or if this was really happening. Because it was Kol, that's who she saw running towards her.

"Is this real?" She asked softly as she reached out to feel him, to make sure that he was actually there and that she wasn't dreaming. "Is this really you?" She asked wondering how this was even happening. Madison was so confused in that moment, but it didn't matter, and before she could stop herself to ask any more questions or talk herself out of beliving that this was indeed happening she cupped his face in her hand and just kissed him. Honestly, she'd deal with the consquenses later if this all turned out to be fake. Right now it seemed as though Kol, the love of her life, wasn't dead. But rather he was alive and seemed well, and he'd found his way back to her. Not that she'd ever went anywhere and would really be that hard to find.

Grace nodded slightly in response to Klaus's words, "Well when you abandon the city that you built and the family you had adopted, the things kind of mesh together. So, no, not much has changed around here, Niklaus. The three of us are still here, picking up the pieces that you and your family left behind." She replied and raised an eyebrow at him, "Down, Grace. There's no need to attack the man. He isn't a threat to us right now." Marcel said as he walked down the stairs of the compound. Grace walked over and stood by her friend's side. Grace needed to show that she wasn't going to just fall in line with what Klaus wanted anymore. She was done being his puppet. Being abandoned multiple times by the same man over the course of a thousand years will do that to you. Grace really wanted to show that she wasn't the same girl anymore that she had been when she first fell in love with Klaus. She was wiser and more independent now.

    ---

Kol smiled widely at her question, "It's real, Love." He replied as he hugged her tightly. When she kissed him, he was taken back, but he kissed her back quickly. He wasn't sure if she would even still feel the same way about him, but he was glad that she did because his feelings never changed even for a second. He pulled away from the kiss and smiled as he looked down at her, "Miss me?" He questioned with a small smirk and threw her a wink. He had missed her, that was for damn sure. He had been hoping and waiting for the day that he would hopefully be reunited with her whether it be in this life or the next one. He knew that the two would be reunited one day. They were destined to be together. Kol had never felt the way about another girl that he had for Madison, and he knew that would never change, it didn't matter how many times he was killed.

Klaus raised his brow when Grace began to speak to him the way she did. He hadn't expected it at all really, he'd known her for the majority of both of their lives at this point and she'd never been one to act like she just had. Clearly, he'd struck a nerve coming back though, one he hadn't even known she had. And if Klaus were being honest that all made him want to get to the bottom of what was going on here even more. There was something happening and Klaus didn't like feeling this out of the loop, or even this out of control. He had no control right now, over anything. Everything was just falling apart and he'd be damned if he let it stay that way. "Yes, no need to attack me Grace. I'm not a threat to you, I've never been a threat to you. I'd just like to speak to Marcel if that's okay with you and Madison," he said realizing that the girls were like Marcel's little attack dogs. And neither of them were his fan right now it would seem either.
"There are no words for how much I've missed you," Madison said as she simply rested her forehead against Kol's and closed her eyes for a moment. She really wanted to soak this all in and just enjoy that he was right there in front of her for real before they got into any of the heavy things that would most certainly need to be talked about. Like what had happened over the last century, or even where they stood with one another now, and what they wanted. Of course, Madison wanted to be with Kol. She'd never truly wanted to be with anyone else since she'd met him but things happen when you're away from the one you love for as long as they were. "I just can't believe this is happening," she whispered with a smile.

Grace raised her eyebrows at Klaus's words before she looked over at Marcel, receiving a nod in return before she turned and walked out of the compound, barely sparing a glance in Klaus's direction as she walked out. She needed a drink. She texted Josh to meet her at the bar before she started to walk through the Quarter. Grace didn't even notice Kol and Madison on her way out, but even if she had, she wouldn't want to ruin the moment between them. Grace needed to get Klaus out of her head, and it needed to happen now. She was done trying with him, she had decided that a century ago when he left her in the city that was burning to the ground essentially because of his father. She had hoped that maybe she meant something to him, but after that, she knew that she hadn't meant a damn thing and so she decided to give up on Klaus Mikaelson.

    ---

Kol grinned widely at Madison's words. He had waited so long to hear her voice again. He dreamt about her every single night since he had been undaggered. She was always on his mind at least for the majority of the day, "Start believing it, Love, because it's happening." He replied before he pulled away and looked at her, "We must celebrate. What would you like to do? All of your prior plans are now canceled and you're spending the day with me." Kol stated with a grin before he raised an eyebrow, "I mean, if you want." He added and shot her a dashing smile followed by a wink.

[ for starters I'm super sorry for the delayed reply! July has been a crazy month for me. I was out of the country for 10 days so I didn't have time to reply then. And I literally had to jump right back into work the day after I got home a week ago so that's been a little crazy. So I'm finally getting around to replying to all my missed RPs. tehe ]

Klaus raised an eyebrow as he watched Grace leave. He really had no idea what he could've done to upset her as much as he clearly had. Madison he did understand. Marcel and Grace though he didn't. He hadn't daggered anyone they loved and kept them apart for however long Kol was daggered. He'd left New Orleans with his siblings because they'd legitimacy believed that they'd both perished in the fire his father had set in order to try and kill the originals. Of course, they hadn't returned since then so they could keep the city protected. The last thing Klaus was going to do was return to a city he loved when he knew it wasn't 100% safe from being taken away from him forever. Plus after they left it took them a while to get Mikael off their trail. And once he was out of their hair Klaus was kind of busy trying to stay hidden so he could learn as much as he could about Katherine, as she liked to be called now, as he could. Because well, he had no intentions of killing her, at least not for a long while. He did, however, plan to learn as much as he could so he could torment her as much as he'd like. So really Klaus had been rather too busy to return. "Clearly I've upset a lot of people here, but I really would like to know how? I mean I had believed you all to be dead after Mikael attacked, why else would I flee without the only people in the world, other than my family, I've ever turly cared about?" He asked Marcel just curious to if he could shed some light on things.
Madison couldn't help but smile at the man in front of her as he talked on about them celebrating their return together. They hadn't been together in so long and so much had changed since then that the things they use to do together wouldn't be quite the same anymore. It wasn't like people went out dancing at Jazz bars anymore, and she hadn't worn any of her flappers dressed since well the 20's. Though Madison had allowed her style to age over the years so she's fit in easier she still had the majority of her well vintage clothing. And on occasion, she did still pull it all out, after a lot of those styles were starting to make comebacks, and there weren't words for how happy that made her.

"Of course, I want to spend my day with you. And I'm not sure what we should do. It's been such a long time since we've been together and so much has changed between us and in the world in general that I don't know what we'd enjoy together anymore," she told wanting to be honest. It was slightly upsetting having to admit that in this day and age after all these years she didn't feel like she knew him anymore. But Madison still has very deep and strong feelings for Kol. She just didn't really know him anymore because it had been 80 plus years and a lot had changed. She was more than willing to spend all of her time, however, catching up so they could pick back up.

[ I really hope this was good too btw! Facepalm ]
