"Louise, can you check on Mrs Woodbury for me?" Rosie Abbott called from the nurses station, finishing up a a referral to cardiology for Mr Roberts. Making her way to one of the cubicles that held a sick elderly lady, Rosie knocked the door before entering, unlocking the drawer in the bedside table with one of the many keys that hung around her neck. "Hi Mrs Knox, time for your Wafarin." Rosie smiled, straightening out her uniform before holding the glass of water to the woman's lips to help the medication down. It was this part of the job that Rosie loved so much, helping people. Having lost her father at a young age, Rosie longed to be the person who helped anyone else who needed it.

Dean Winchester sat in his usual seat at the coffee shop on the corner, waiting for his younger brother to join him. Did he already know Alice and Rosie had gone? Dean had tried countless time to call Alice's phone, only to have it disengaged. Sighing, Dean stirred his strong coffee, taking a sip and relishing the taste as he sat back, still dressed in his dirty overalls from tending to a pickup truck in the garage. Hearing the bell above the door ring out, Dean turned to look, seeing Sam dressed in his usual, fancy, I'm a lawyer outfit.

Alice had just finished her lunch before heading back to class, smiling to herself. She was teaching art at an elementary school and she couldn't imagine herself being happier. "Alright, class," she announced when she made her way back into the classroom, which was colorful and full of things to keep the students involved and engaged. "I hope you enjoyed your lunch, because it's time to get to business." The classes were each working on murals to put out in the halls for an upcoming open house at the school, and she wanted to make sure each student was excited. Moving to the blocks for the murals, she grabbed as many as she could carry and began setting them in front of the appropriate students. "Now, we're getting close to the debut day, so let's work hard, okay?" She grinned to the students before passing out the supplies and let them get to work.

When Sam had woken up, he'd texted Rosie to see if she'd gotten home alright, except he'd received an error text in response, and had spent about twenty minutes calling the number, only to get an error each time. He'd even gone to the motel to see if she was there, practically frantic at that point, but there'd been nobody to answer the door and the office had said that the room had been empty when the maids had gone in there that morning. He'd gotten dressed for work, worried, and had tried to stay focused, waiting for Dean's call to let him know that the girls had come to get the Bug - except there hadn't been a call. So, when lunch came, he made his way to the coffee shop and sat down across from his brother, frowning. "The girls have completely disappeared," he mentioned, "Unless they stopped by the shop to get the Bug? But, their motel room was empty, apparently, and I can't contact Rosie, the calls and texts won't go through."

"They didn't come to get the Bug, either." Dean frowned. "I - I think they're gone, Sam. But it doesn't make sense, they couldn't of finished their business that fast, you know? They were talking like they were going to be here for weeks." Even Dean looked disheartened. "I just wish that they had text or called before, you know?" He frowned, looking around the near empty coffee shop, taking in the sight of the old couple sat by the window, and the teenager wearing oversized headphones in the quietest corner. "A goodbye would of been nice." The eldest Winchester grouched.

Sam sighed out quietly, leaning back in his seat, frowning to himself. "It's just weird to me that even Rosie's phone is out of service overnight," he muttered quietly, "It's like they just... Vanished. It doesn't make sense." And, he hated it. He hated not knowing what had happened to Rosie or where she was. But, more than that, he hated that he hadn't been able to see her before she left, that they hadn't said goodbye, that they'd left things on such... Tense terms - or, at least, it had felt tense to him, since she'd been so quiet the night before, then they'd just left. "I kind of really miss her already." And that wasn't something he'd expected when he'd only known Rosie for a day.

"I know what you mean," Dean murmured meekly. "I miss Alice too. How the hell, in 24 hours, does one person make such a huge impact on you?" He asked rhetorically, looking at Sam. "I wanted her to meet Mom and Dad, Hamburger loved her too, it just... made sense." Dean sipped his coffee again. "But how the hell did they ditch those numbers already? Not even AT and T can work that fast." He raised his eyebrows. "It's like they don't want to be found."

Sam sighed quietly and shook his head. "I don't know," he admitted quietly, "I mean, I felt the same way - I wanted her to be a part of my life, to meet our family, to meet our friends... Herman was completely stuck to her, he loved her so much. It was like she was meant to be here, like I was meant to meet her." His expression fell slightly and he sighed quietly, rubbing at his face. "I don't know. Maybe they got suspicious of us last night and just... Made a run for it? I don't know how that would make the loss of the numbers make sense, though, unless they really were spies..."

"Man, that whole theory was a joke. I wasn't expecting it to be real." Dean admitted. "Dammit, the chance we get at happiness and it leaves, imagine that." He frowned. Sighing, Dean felt his temples ache. "I don't want to go to work. I feel like a friggin kid who lost out on the biggest prize at the county fair." He laughed at himself. Dean Winchester, usually so independent, feeling miserable. He guessed everything was possible.

"You had to be suspicious enough to actually want to stalk them," Sam tried to joke lightly, but the joke felt a little bitter on his tongue, worried that maybe they'd driven the girls away. Had his kiss with Rosie been what made her run off and disappear? Sighing, he shook his head, trying not to think about it too much. "Who would have thought that we'd fall for girls that quickly?" Frowning to himself, he leaned back in his seat, thinking. "I don't want to go back to work, either, honestly. Just the time I was there, I was too distracted to focus. It's driving me crazy."

"Man, I don't even wanna be stuck in that boring garage, I just wanna look for Alice..." Dean furrowed his eyebrows at his brother as he got a distant look. "Sammy? You alright?" He leaned forward, waving a hand in front of his brother's face. The tension in his temples took over, and Dean sat back on his chair, squeezing his eyes shut as he fell into a trance, the pain disappearing as quickly as it came.

Before Sam could properly reply to his brother, he'd felt a sudden pain, and had ended up having a very strange and confusion conversation with Rosie and another version of himself from a different world. When the entire thing ended, he blinked out of it, looking around the coffee shop as things seemed to go back to normal, before his gaze went to Dean, his eyes wide. "Dean," he said quietly, leaning forward slightly, "I'm not the only one who had some weird vision conversation, am I?"

Dean came out of the trance, blinking rapidly to bring himself back to the present. Looking at Sam, Dean raised his eyebrows. "Did - did you see another version of you?" Dean asked, confused. "With Rosie? Cause I just saw myself and Alice. And -" Dean ignored his coffee. "Sam, you know we gotta go find them."

"Yeah, yeah, I saw another version of me with Rosie," Sam confirmed with surprise, trying to process everything as he rubbed at his face, but nodded, looking to his brother. "And it was... So weird." His brows furrowing, he watched Dean for a moment before he nodded. "Yeah, I know. Did Alice give you any ideas where to look?" Rosie had given Sam a location, after all, so at least he had something to go on, which helped - it gave him hope. He could find the Rosie in this world that was meant for him.

"Yeah... Illinois." Dean nodded. "Did Rosie tell you where to go?" He asked, still trying to process everything that had just happened. "A whole different universe. Can you believe this?" Dean asked, still blinking. "Well, what're we waiting for?" Dean felt optimistic, wanting to find the version of Alice that he belonged to, the version of Alice he could be happy with. "Get your boss on the phone, we're going on a day trip."

"Maine," Sam said quickly, nodding almost eagerly, desperately wanting to find his world's Rosie, wanting to find the happiness that the other universe's Rosie and Sam encouraged him to find. "Yeah... Who knew that'd be the conspiracy theory we should have thought of?" he joked lightly but climbed to his feet, grabbing his jacket. He pulled out his phone to call his boss to get the day off while he made his way to the door and hung up when the call ended. "Come on, Dean. We have a pair of girls we desperately need in our lives." He grinned over at his brother, eager for this opportunity.

"That was my second bet," Dean joked. "Another universe!" Grabbing his jacket, Dean tossed it over his shoulder before following Sam to the Impala parked outside. "God, man, I have friggin butterflies." He grinned, sliding into the drivers seat and fastening his safety belt. "Where to first?"

Sam climbed into the car, settling into his seat as he stared out the front window, watching the view he had before he buckled up. "Yeah, I don't think I've been this nervous in a long time," he admitted with amusement, "But I'm also really just... Excited." He nodded for a moment before looking to his brother. "What's closer?"

"I think Illinois is closer, then we can fast track to Maine." Dean explained. Bringing Baby to a start, Dean smiled to himself as he thought of the words that Alice had told him. "She's got a job to do with kids - maybe I should scope out the local schools in the area?" Dean asked, pulling out of his usual parking spot as he accelerated down the road, turning off to the highway. "Hope Mom and Dad don't file a damn missing persons report for us." He laughed at the thought. "You know, just going to find the loves of our lives."

Sam nodded with the mention of it, leaning back in his seat as he smiled to himself. "Yeah, I think that could work," he decided, "Rosie said this world's version of her would be a nurse in Maine's central hospital. I can't say I'm really surprised - she has a really great heart." Relaxing in his seat, he thought about it for a moment, thought about meeting the Rosie he was meant to be with, and he swallowed nervously but offered an amused chuckled with his brother's later words. "We could always call them, tell them we're going on a trip, so they don't worry?"
