Bryce chuckled, "I dont think that it is very exciting down there. Besides you hit your head and you shouldn't be unsupervised." He told her. He relaxed as he looked into her eyes. "I still had fun even though you hurt yourself." He teased her.

Lennox was shocked when Jason's dad proposed. She was even more shocked when her mom said yes. Lennox sighed as the two talked then got up and left the table. She didn't want to deal with this. Her mom was just doing whatever she wanted without even talking to her. She pulled out her fake id at the bar and ordered a drink now that she was away from everyone. She took a sip of her drink and then downed the rest of it.

"It still really hurts" she said gently rubbing her scalp wth her nails as she watched him. "I mean what can I say, I'm a fun person" she teased back, slowly trying to sit up in the bed. The room was spinning but she just shut her eyes and hoped it would pass. "I mean this in the best way possible, but you really aren't what I expected having met your father" she told him softly, slowly opening up her eyes and smiling down at him on the bed.

Jason plastered a smile on his face, he did feel happy seeing his dad look so cheerful, he just worried that she might break his heart. "Congratulations you too." He said, looking toward Lennox at the bar. "I'll make sure she's okay, don't worry about it" he said gently and followed Lennox over. "You could at least pretend to be happy for them" he told her, shoving the glass away from her at the bar.

Bryce smiled, "What do you mean?" He asked. He sighed, "My dad tends to come off kind of mean at first, but he really is a nice guy." He explained to her.

Lennox looked at him, "Oh im sorry did I ruin your brady bunch moment?" She said, rolling her eyes. She ordered another drink, "She's been engaged four times in the last two years so don't get your hopes up." She said.

Ell shrugged softly "I kind of figured you were a nerd, acne, tries to hard, good grades, do gooder" she admitted with a soft laugh. The room was finally beginning to still again, but she could feel her mouth getting dry. "Is there any water?" She asked, looking around.

Jason ground and put his hand out in front of her at the bar. "She's 17 don't serve her" he told the barman, turning back to face Lennox. It hurt to hear that this woman was still likely to hurt his dad. He sighed "look Lennox, you're a great girl, I've seen that.. but your negativity will influence your mom and I don't want to see my dad heartbroken. So grow up a little bit, be a brat all you want, but don't blame my dad for it."

Bryce laughed, "Gee thanks." He said. He got up and got her a bottle of water. He handed it to her. "I wouldn't say I am as perfect as you think I am." She said.

Lennox glared at him when he told the bartender how old she was. She frowned, "Please, my mom is barely around enough for me to influence her." She said. "I'm sure you all will live happy lives. i can't wait to tell my new daddy that his son fucked me a few days ago." She said before she walked away and sat down at the table to eat.

Ellis took the bottle of water, thanking him. "Thought you were" she corrected, a teasing smile on her face. As she watched him more closely, she could reLly see how absolutely gorgeous he was, not that that was ever disputed. While she felt disappointed that their romantic possibilities were cut short, she was still glad that she would get to see him everyday, or would make this new life a little more bearable. "You want a sip?" She offered.

JAson sighed as she stormed back to the table, shaking his heD. Thinking how maybe the engage t was a godsend seeing as it pointed out just how high maintenance she was. He followed her back to the table and sat down by his own food, looking up, pleased to see his dad so happy.

Bryce shook his head, "No thanks." He said. He was so glad that he had someone to make his dad happy. Bryce rubbed the back of his neck, "So do you think they will get along well?" He asked.

Lennox ate her food, not saying anything else. She leaned back against her chair as rhe lunch ended. Lennox got up and walked out, leaning against her moms car.

Ellis shrugged "I guess so, they seemed happy.. I've never really seen my mom as happy as she is with your dad.. they've been inseparable" she admitted, much to her chagrin. "Maybe it'll keep her off my back.. she'll probably get on yours about college just to warn you"

Fred, Jasona dad walked out his arm around his fiancée like a pair of teenagers. "Jason why don't you drop Lennox home before your date, we're gonna head for a few drinks" he called out, motioning for Lennox to join Jason in his car. Jason blushed softly but nodded.

Bryce looked at her, "What happened to your dad?" He asked. He looked up at the ceiling, "I hope not." Ha said. He didn't plan on going to college.

Lennox walked to Jason's car and got in. "Can you take me home please?" She asked him. She put her seatbelt on, knowing that he probably didn't want to spend anymore time with her. She looked at him, "I'm sorry for being a bitch earlier." She apoligized.

Ellis looked down at her hands and sighed lightly. "Umm, he just, left. I was 7 my brother was 10. My mom took us out to the store to get ice creams, and when we came back he was gone." She explained, feeling herself starting to get upset. "He um, he sends me card for my birthday every year but that's about as much contact as he has made" she said softly, gently pulling at the fabric on the bottom of her dress. "What about your mom?" She asked him.

"I don't know where you live" Jason said to her, watching her as he started the car. He aighes gently as they pulled away, glancing at her whenever he got the chance. "Look, I'm sorry too, I shouldn't have called you a brat" he said softly, his jaw tensing as he spoke. "It's just, this is the first serious thing he's had since my mom died, as far as I'm aware. We're really close" he explained.

Bryce looked at her, "My mom passed away when i was still really young." He said. Bryce looked back at the ceiling, "I'm sorry your dad doesn't have a lot of contact." He told her.

Lennox told him where to go, "I understand. I hope my mom doesn't hurt him." She said. She liked her mom, but she knew her mom had a habit of jumping from man to man. "If your so close why didn't he tell you he was going to marry someone?" She asked.

Ellis placed her hand on his and gave it a reaffirming squeeze. "I'm sorry about your mom too... I couldn't imagine what that's like" she told him softly, finishing the bottle and tossing it across the room towards the bin. "Hey, would you mind unzipping this thing? It's really uncomfortable" she asked, turning her back towards him so he could undo the back of her dress.

Jason's eyes narrowed slightly as she asked the question "probably because he knew I'd be happy for him as long as he is happy. He doesn't meddle in my love life, so I say out of his" he said pointedly, turning the car sharply down on to her street.

Bryce shrugged, "I never actually knew her so i guess its not too bad." He said. He nodded then unzipped her dress. He was careful not touch her too much.

Lennox looked at him, "Are you okay?" She asked him, noticing that he was mad. She bit her bottom lip lightly as she looked out the window. She didn't mean to piss him off.

Ellis pulled down the straps of the dress and smiled "thank you" she said and gently slipped it of, kicking it to the end of the bed, not quite feeling up to standing yet. She stretched her arms above her head revealing her tattoo on her side, as her nibble bare poked through the fabric of her bra. "Oh shit I'm sorry, let me grab a shirt" she apologised quickly.

Jason stopped outside her house and sighed. "Yeah I'm good, I'm sorry it's just kind of an information overload.. I didn't mean to take it out on you" he apologised, running his hands in to his hair, looking over at her. "I was really looking forward to spending the evening with you, tun I... not as my future step sister" he said softly.

Bryce shook his head, "It's alright." He said, looking away. He let her get a shirt then sighed as he looked back at her, "If you want I can leave." He said.

Lennox looked at him, "It's okay." She said. She nodded, "Yea i was excited too. i actually liked you." She said, going to open the door. She did like Jason. She smiled so much over the past few days when he texted her.

Ellis shook her head softly as she pulled on a t-shirt stained in paint, and took a deep breath as she stood, careful to watch her balance. ''I think I'd like you to stay for a bit.. I don't really wantt to be on my own''she told him gently, and slid bank on to the bed, laying her head against him and shutting her eyes.

Jason glanced at her "I mean being honest... I never offer to take girl on a date after we've fucked.. you seemed different" he told her her softly, clearing his throat as he looked away, afraid he would get too drawn in to her good looks. "I know things are weird, but we can still hang out if you like"

Bryce walked outside, seeing Ellis and her mom with a moving truck. He smiled at them, "Hey." He said as he grabbed some boxes from the truck. He walked with Ellis, seeing that he had some of her boxes, "Come on. I will show you your room." He said. He walked upstairs to her room and set the box down. "Mine is right across the hall." He said.

Lennox looked at him, "We can still hang out if you want. I want to change first though." She said. She got out of the car, "Come inside." She said. She waited for him then took him up to her mom's apartment. She unlocked the door and walked in. The place the really nice and she really didn't want to move. She walked into her room, getting dressed before she walked out. "What do you want to do?" She asked as she walked over to the kitchen and got a bottle of water.

Ellis smiled happily as Bryce offered to show her to her room. It had been a couple of days since she last saw him, and she had forgotten just how strikingly gorgeous he was. She began to wish she had put in more effort to how she looked before reminding herself that they were technically family. "Wow, this place is great...It's much bigger than our old flat. I'm so glad i get my own room!" she said excitedly, quickly turing to him, laughing. "But if my mom or your dad asks I'm miserable and hate everything about this place" she teased.

Jason nodded an followed her inside, waiting in the hall for her to change. When she came back out he smiled, god she was so sexy... How she had screwed him so easily he would never know. He shrugged softly "I mean have you gotten to know town? I can show you around a bit if you like?" he offered, leaning back against the counter, his hands in his pockets as he tried to distract himself from looking at her body.

Bryce chuckled, "Alright I will let them know you hate it." He said, smiling. He walked with her, showing her around the house. "I will get some more boxes for you." He said. He walked to the truck and helped his dad. He knew that it was going to be weird living with women. It had been him and his dad for so long. He sighed as he sat down in the living room, looking at all the boxes. They had so many things.

Lennox handed him a bottle of water, "I mean I seen a little, but we can do that. Sounds fun." She said, leaning against the counter as she took a sip of her water. She watched him, "I'm ready when you are." She said as she turned out the lights in the apartment and grabbed her purse and keys. She walked out with him, locking the door. She could tell he was trying to avoid looking at her. She walked with him and got in his car, "So where are you taking me first?" She asked as she put her water in the cup holder in his car.

Ellis smiled at him as he left to bring her more of her stuff, and perched herself on the edge of her new bed looking around the room sadly. She missed her little room in New York, even if she had shared it with Her brother. She sighed softly and began pulling some stuff out of the box next to her, searching for her sketch pad.

Jason smiled and led her back out to the car. "I was thinking I'll show you the lake, it'll be nicest as the sun starts to set" he told her as he pulled away from the house. Once they got to the lake, he smiled spitting the sun already reflecting off the river. "Once the weather gets warmer, there's parties here most night"
