Rising Stars. [closed]

Mina frowned as she got dressed, "You realize he is just going to be another jerk Emily." She said to her manager before sitting down. She put her shoes on and walked out of the house towards her limo. She rolled her eyes at Emily's comment. When they arrived at the concert where she would meet her new pretend boyfriend and she sighed before getting out. The flashes from the camera were blinding as her body guard shoved through the crowd. Mina got to her room, frowning at the room. "Your fucking insane if you think im staying in this room Emily!" She snapped. "Its not much smaller than your usually room." Emily replied. Mina raised and eyebrow, and walked out and headed down the hallway. She frowned when she heard Emily ask where she was going. "Im going home unless you fix the issue Emily!" She yelled as she turned around. She turned to walk away and smacked into one of the band guys coming out of their room, "watch where the hell your going." She said, crossing her arms

Emily walked over to her, "Oh um this is Jace Mina." She said, introducing them finally.

Mina crossed her arms as she looked at him, "Yea cool." She muttered.

Niko sat in his apartment, messing with his guitar as he waited for Kirby to get there. He was going on tour in the next week and he wanted to hang out with her before he left. They had kind of had groan apart since he became famous. He sighed as he looked at his guitar. He was partly to blame though because he knew he was being an asshole sometimes to her.

Jace put his hands up, as he bumped in to a girl in the corridor. "sorry love, Maybe we need to get you some training wheels" he joked, frowning softly as she began to shout at him. He looked up spotting Emily, he had met with her her a few times. His frown deepened as she introduced Nina. Wasn't she supposed to be America's sweetheart?

"pleasure to meet you I'm sure" he said, extending his hand out to her, recoiling awkwardly as she refused to take it. "so, are you looking forward to beo g my pretend girlfriend?" he teased, hoping maybe he had just caught her in a bad moment.

Kirby took a deep breath and knocked on her boyfriends door. She couldn't even begin tryi g to hide the smile on her face to see him. It had been a couple days since they last Hu g out, he was always so busy with work, and her own group were just beginning to pick up too.

"hey babe!" she said happily when he opened the door, standing up on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek,. She wore a pair of frayed denim shorts and an oversized sweatshirt, that almost covered the shorts entirely. "How's everything going?"

Mina stared at him, "You should be thanking me. You are the one with the shitty reputation." She said. She didn't like anyone right away. Most of the time they really just wanted something from her or wanted attention. "I'm sure we can pretend to like each other enough to get some attention though." She said. Mina looked around them, "When does the show start?" She asked him. Mina had only listened to like one of his bands songs and she wasn't so sure if she liked it or not. Though she wanted to see why everyone loved his rock band so much.

Niko smiled as he kissed her, "Hey." He said as he let her in. "Great we actually have been pretty busy. You know that though." He teased her. He walked with her to the couch and sat down, "What have you been up to?" He asked as he ran his fingers through her hair. He leaned over and kissed her again. He missed spending all his time with her. She was so perfect. NiKo put his arm around her and grinned.

Jace was not a fan of this girl as things currently stood, but he knew he needed to remain civil. "Not for a few hours, the other guys haven't even arrived yet. I had unfortunately thought we could get to know each other for a few hours. This needs to be believable after all" he told her, although most of his attention was focused on his phone as he text his manager you sure Nina is a right choice to improve my image?? Get down to the dressing rooms now. he sent the.messsge and looked back up at her. She was pretty, that was definitely okay by him, but she just seemed spoilt... Hopefully it was just a bad time. "so obviously I'm guessing we need to build hype. Tonight's show is perfect, Niko's girl is coming too, so if we can get the two of you photographed watching us from backstage, it should get a media frenzy started"

Kirby laughed, and took a seat with him, to sing her blue hair behind her shoulder. "we've gotten a couple of talks show slots and we're performing on Ellen to promote our new single. If this one goes well there's talks of an album, since the other one did pretty okay too" she told him happily, glad that her girl group was slowly starting to pickup pace, of course they were still very small compared to Niko's she smiled as he put his arm around her and pulled herself closer to him. "are you looking forward to the show tonight? Last gig close to home for a while" she said softly, she was sad that he was going. She had planned to meet him as muchas possible where her own schedule allowed, and as it currently stood they would never go more than 3 weeks without seeing one another.

Mina looked at him as he spoke, "I am sure we can figure something out." She said. She knew they had a lot of things they had to get done. She looked over as his manager came down. "Hey Marco." She said, smiling at him. She had known him before he started working with rhe band. Mina looked at Jace. "Come on lets go chat." She said as she walked with him to his dressing room. She walked inside and sat on his couch. "Alright tell me about you." She said.

Niko chuckled, "Yea im excited. You know Marco is actually making Jace pretend to date Mina Larson?" He asked. "Yea thats the same look I had. I can't see him with a girl like that, but Marco said it is good for him." He said as he put his arm around her.

Jace nodded and followed her inside sitting down across the sofa from her. He glanced up at mara and raised his eyebrows to say 'what the fuck' before look g back at Mina. "I mean there's not much to tell you, I grew up in Boston, pretty normal family, went to an audition one day and got put together with the boys in this band. I have tattoos and joy smoking the devil's cabbage and somehow that translates as me being an awful person" he told her, pulling a cigarette out of his pocket and being to light it up.

"well there was also the swearing at teenage girls and public urination..." Marco cute in shaking his head. "Hey, In my defence they were trying to get in my car And I didn't realise it was a convent" he said, pointing at Marco before looking back at Mina. "so how about you, little miss American Sweetie, what's your story?"

Kirby looked at him surprised, still smiling to be with hi. "No way? Like pop star Mina? Wouldn't hurt a fly Mina Larsson?" she asked playing with her keys i. Her hand. Her smile faltered just a little when she realised he hadn't completely skipped over her news and begun talking about his band again. She shoved the thought to the back of her mind and plastered the wide smile back onto her face. "I hope I fit the bill for what a lead guitarists girlfriend should look like" she teased soft and gave him a nudge, nuzzling in closer to him. "I've missed you the last couple days.. I'm sad you have to leave and I can't come" she told him, gently runnig hee fingers along his arm.

Mina smiled as he spoke, "Well, I have been in the whole showbiz thing since i was little. I have pretty much had everyone loving me since then because i am good at what i do. However, that is all an act. I could careless about half of the assholes in this industry." She said. "I like to party on the weekends and do whatever I want." She said. "As long as i keep it contained people tend to leave me alone." She said. Mina hated that people thought she was just this wonderful nice person. She watched as Marco left then slid closer to Jace. "You wanna have some real fun?" She asked him as she opened her purse and pulled out a gold metal case. She opened it revealing a few pills. "It won't fuck you up to where you can't perform." She said, seeing the worry in his eyes.

Niko smiled, "You can come visit though. It will be awesome. I can't wait to be on the road." He said as he kissed her cheek. "I will miss you though." he said. He looked at the time, "We should get going." He said as he got up, offering her his hand.

Jace looked down at her hand, and ran a hand through his own hair, expelling air though his nostrils. "I don't think so Mina... As you said yourself, if prefer to keep those thing contained, I don't think anintimate.oncert is the best place to be high" he said, gently shaking his head as he stood up off the couch, walking over to the mirror. He sat he'd Mina in the reflection, wondering if this was all. Test of some sort He couldn't believe that the girl he saw in the interviews and Magazines was really like this.

Kirby took his hand and stood up. A frown developed on her face as she cá too to pickup her jacket and purse, but she was careful not to let him see. She didn't want to fight before his show. She couldn't believe he had just. Rushed all of her news under the carpet like it was nothing. Had he really become this conceited compared to the guy she fell in love it? Plastering the smile back on her facebefore turning to him, she happily followed him out of the apartment, she really hoped that there wouldn't be too many paparazzi at the venue when they arrived. "and I mean. You'll come and visit when you get a couple nights off in a row too, right??" she asked him, knowing full well that there were several dates that had 3 or4 days in between.

Mina smiled at him as he walked away, "Okay I understand." She said before popping the pill. "I assume your who will be good sober or not." She teased him. She watched him as she leaned back against the couch, "Is something wrong?" She asked him.

Niko nodded, "Yea of course I will." He said. When they got to the venue they went in the back way and walked down the hall. He kept her hand in his as he walked towards his dressing room. He was surprised to not see Jace in there with the guys. "Oh god she killed him with kindness didn't she?" He joked, laughing.

Jace turned to face her, narrowing his eyes at her before speaking. "whatsit his for you?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked her up and down. "I mean sure, I need to improve my public image.. But what's I this for you? You're already plenty famous and forgive me for saying,, but you don't seem like you would do this out of the goodness of your heart" he question Ed, taking a step closer to her. He could often be wary about who he left in to his life.

Kirby waved at the guys, knowing them plenty at this stage and grabbed a soda from the mini fridge. "Man.. You weren't her.. She is a Tyrant" the drummer said with a laugh, glancig down the hall. "they're inside in his room right now talking out the details"

Mina looked at him as she stood up. "Fine." She said as she leaned against the table near him. "My manager suggested this because I haven't dated anyone in a long time. Which don't get me wrong, I don't want someone to be with. Im very happy living alone and being alone. I have spent most of my life like that. However, that apparently doesn't look good for my image or whatever. So that is why I am doing this." She said. She had never had an interest in dating anyone. Sure she had random hook ups, but they always went away when they were suppose to.

Niko chuckled, "Really?" He asked as he grabbed his guitar and tuned it. "So little miss nice is actually evil?" he asked laughing. "Dude that's awesome." He said.

Jace shrugged and looked her over. "But I mean.. What is your image? Is it all just good marketing?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. Jace was aware of his "Badby" nature, but he wasn't a bad kid. He was sweet to those who knew him and worked around hi., but he knew he was always beo g 100% true to hi. Self, even if the shit he did was stupid.. But his actions reflected badly on the bands so he needed to change that.

Kirby glanced up, her fists clenching around the soda as he continued to speak over her, again not even acknowledging her little success. Dhrhrsld ítim fir another few minutes until she felt like she was going to burst. "I'm gona go take a look around, we're hoping to book a gig here." she said, and quickly got upto walk out of the room before she said something to upset Niko.

Mina looked at him, "I..." She went to explain, but was interrupted by Emily swinging the door open. "Mina, lets go we have stuff to do before the show." She said. Mina looked at him before she sighed, "I'll talk to you later." She said before she walked out. She wasn't sure what to say about herself. Her life wa sso molded by everyone else.

Niko sighed as she left, "She's mad." He said. He looked over as Jace came in. "So how is your girlfriend?" He teased his friend. Jace seemed deep in thought.

Jace nodded as she left, staring after her for a little bit before heading to meet the the guys. His brain was thinking hard about what she might have been about to say. He couldn't get over just how different she was to how the media portrayed her-and not really ina good way.

"maaaanann" Jace laughed high fiving nikoand the other guys. "she is a piece of work, an absolute princess" he said shaking his head.

Kirby eventually found the stage door and headed that way. She could seethe stewards getting everything set up and smiled softly, this could be all for GRX some day. She sighed and picked up one of Nikos back up guitars and took a seat with it on the edge of the stage, turning it over in her hands. Niko, just a little something to know I'm always right there with you, whatever city you're in. All my love, Your Kirby x she had given this to him his very first tour. It had only been a short one, but at 19 that felt like a lifetime and she had been so proud she wanted to give him something special. She sighed and began strumming some chords, quietly singing along to and acoustic version of zombie by the cranberries

Mina finished getting ready and walked around backstage for awhile until she found some girl on the actually stage. She listened to her sing for a few seconds before she walked over to her, slow clappjng. "Not bad." She teased her. "What's your name?" She asked. He nodded when she told.her what her name was. "Oh you are in that girl group that is new. what's it called again?" She asked, not paying attention to Niko, Jace and their drummer Mikey walking out. "Yea they suck." She said to Kirby, seeing her get mad. "Calm down they suck, not you." She said, laughing. She watched her, "Let's be honest most girl groups like fade away after two years. Why? because they suck." She said. She smiled, "Plus, your lead singer has some weak ass vocals. The girl can't even hold a note." She said. "What's that song you have out with that note at the end that should be long?" She asked. She nodded, "Yea that one. She ruins it." She explained. "Do yourself a favor and be a solo act." She said. She looked back hearing the guys, "Gee spying?" She teased him. "I must say Jace clingy in a relationship doesn't work." She joked as she looked back at the girl. "Tell ya what. Think about ditching the band, then..." She paused and grabbed on of the sharpies that was laying out by the guys, setlist. "Give me a call and we can work something out." She said as she wrote her number on the girls arm. "Don't give that out." She warned her. She tossed the marker then walked away. She noticed some guy with a camera as she made her way over to Jace. "Good luck tonight." She said before she grabbed his face and kissed him deeply. She made sure it looked good for pictures and made an amazing impression on him. She pulled away and patted his cheek, "Your welcome." She said before she walked through the guys and went backstage.

Niko laughed, "Good she won't bore you." He teased him. "Come on. lets check out the venue." He said. He walked towards the stage, stopping when he seen Mina with Kirby. His eyes widened when he heard her tell Kirby her band sucked. He honestly thought they were bad too, but he loved Kirby and didn't want to tell her. Mikey chuckled, "Did she just tell Kirby she sucks?" He whispered. "That's funny." He said. He stepped back as Mina came towards them and was surprised as she kissed Jace and left.

Jace chatted with the guys for a few more minutes, rolling his eyes as they all took the piss out of him about Mina. He nodded when Niko suggest they check out the venue. "hey, Where's Kirby, is the supposed to come tonight?" he asked as they walked down the hall,, his question answered as they turned a corner and saw Mina talking to her.

His eyes grew wide as he heard what she was saying to Kirby, looking toward nolo to see what he made of it. Before he cold even think of something to say, suddenly ina had pulled him in for a kiss, his eyes wide ING before slowly shutting as he rapped his arm around her waist to make it seem real. He stared after her as she waltzed off her lingloss still Laingering on his lips. He looked arou d at all the guys I disbelief beginning to laugh.

Kirby stood up startled as she heard a voice behind her. She quickly placed the guitar back in its stand before turning to introduce herself. "I'm Kirby Rose, Niko's Girl-" she was cut off by Mína interjection talking about her band. She could feel her face growing red in anger as she clutched her fist at her side. "I don't care what you're trying to say.. Those are my frje dá and some really talented people you're talking shit about!" she raged, glancing at all the guys as they watched. Once mina walked away, Kirby's eyes followed her out the door, before landing on Niko. She watched him joking with Mikey for a couple seconds before charging towards him." you wouldn't even fucking stand up for me you useless prick! Get your head out of your ass and think about somebody other than you Niko!" she said angrily, the Manchester accent she usually kept covered shining through. She quickly stormed off heading for the bathroom where she could scrub off the number.

Niko frowned as Kirby yelled at him and sighed. He looked at the guys, then walled after her. He grabbed her hand, "Would you stop." He said making her look at him. "Look she didn't say anything bad about you. She told you that you were good. what do you want me to do? Lie and defend your friends because you like them. They do suck and their dragging you down kirby. I support you and what you want to do but i don't want your dreams to get crushed because you want to make your friends happy." He said. He knew that she was just too nice. She wouldn't leave her friends. He sighed, knowing he probably pissed her off more. "Okay, okay im sorry." He said pulling her towards him. He frowned when they called for him to get ready. "I will talk to you after the show." He said as he kissed her. "I love you." He said before he walked away.

Once the show finished he walked off stage hoping to find kirby. He was met by His manager and Mina's. Marco smiled, "Alright time to party. Mina is throwing you guys a party celebrating the tour. we are going to head to her house to kind of pregame then go to the club that Emily booked everything at. Niko looked at Kirby who still looked pissed. Once they were alone he went to her, "Come on lets have fun." He said. "It will be alright." He said.

Mina smiled as she stood with her manager after the show as Marco explained what was going to happen. She knew it was all to get attention but she wanted to drink. She took Jace's hand, "come on." She said. She walked with him, "When we go outside try to make it look convincing." She said as they walked. She walked outside, feeling Jace put his arm around her.

They arrived at her mansion and she walked in, looking at the guys and Kirby as they took it all in. "Make yourselves at home." She said before she walked upstairs to get ready. She smiled as she found a cute black dress that showed off her legs and heels. She fixed her hair then walked downstairs.

Mikey opened on of the doors, "Dude...she has a gameroom." He yelled. He turned the light on seeing the arcade games. He looked at Jace, "Don't ever leave her." He said laughing as the rest of the guys joined them with beer in their hands.

Kirby turned as he pulled her back, glaring at him. "you agree with her?" she questioned, her eyebrows burrowing in anger. "Niko, GRX has been together for almost 3 years, at no point did you think to tell me I was wasting my time? Or are you only saying this to agree with Mina fucking Larsson?" she asked, tears streaming down her face. "you have barely even acknowledged a single thing I've said to you All day Nik, you just talked about you and your band. I feel like I'm being painted out of the picture Niko.. Before I know it your manager will be replacing me with some airhead popstarr to get your name in the papers " she said, her chest heaving slightly as he pulled her in close." I love you too II.. " she murmed, watching him walk away.

When the show ended, Kirby was still feeling pretty shit about everything. She offered A weak smile to Niko as he came off stage and congratulated him. Her face fell when they wefeallinstru yes to get on the bus to Mina's. "Nik, I thought it was gonna be just us tonight... Before you go away?" she asked him, but followed him on to the bus as he didn't seem to be stopping.once there Kirby grabbed a drink and stayed there, not bothering to follow them to the games room.

Jace wrapped his arm around her shoulders tight as they walked out to the bus, holding his hand up to lock the flashes of the paparazzi. While he knew this was all fake, he felt a little protective over Mina already, he was protective over most of the women i his life, even Kirby and the other guys girlfriends when they hopped in and out of the picture.

He grabbed a beer from the kitchen and smiled as Mikey opened the door to the games room. "oh an, real 1980 miss pac man! He said excitedly, rushing over to the game, playing it distractedly until he felt a figure standing ext to him." Mina hey, he said glancing up at her, doing a double take as he saw the black dress. "you look great" he said taking her ni with his eyes.
