A Royal Love

Dating...Dating could be something that the young prince found to be overrated. However, he knew at some point he would hopefully find the right girl...he was just tried of the dating process. At this point in his life, Prince Harry, a young man starting into his 30's, wanted to be able to hit that milestone of his life where he would find the love of his life; but that just wasn't happening. Lately for him, Harry felt like every girl he tried to date just wasn't a good match. Already he found life as a prince to be difficult at times...and to add to this just wasn't good. He would mainly get this feeling when he was with his family. They would rave about the good life that William, his older bother, had established with Kate, and would always ask when he would settle down. That was something Harry didn't understand, why did he have to settle down. Why was what he had been involved with in life not enough for his family?

After what seemed like forever though, Harry had finally caved in with one of his friend's idea -- a blind date. He wasn't really sure about it...but he thought it wouldn't hurt to give it one try.

So here he was now, pacing in his room as he was getting ready for this date. He trusted this friend with almost every inch of his being, and so he wasn't too worried about the blind date experience. But he knew he had ever right to be nervous about it. Once he felt that he was ready as ready could be, Harry looked over himself in the full length mirror and nodded, running his hair through his red hair. He then got ready and left, meeting his friends at a pub.

Biting on her lip, Cheryl sat in the makeup artist's chair. Trusting her friend about this blind date. She was divorced, now single, with the divorce underneath her belt. Being young and already married, kind of ruined her when it came to finding love and dating. Which was something she truly didn't have much time for anymore. Between her work and taking care of her parents. She barley had any time to herself anymore.

But tonight. Tonight she was taking time for herself. It couldn't hurt to take and flirt a little and have fun with some random guy. Her friend set her up with, could it? Pacing back and forth in her room, she took and finished the final touch to her looks. Feeling satisfied with it, she grabbed her clutch and walked out. Once she arrived she took and sat down at the table and looked around. Unsure of things she sighed hoping tonight went good.

Once he felt like was more than ready for this Blind Date, Harry found himself walking outside to get into his car. There was no way he was going to have anyone, but himself, drive him to the date. Sure, he knew that this family would prefer him to travel with security, but some times Harry just wanted to have some-what of a life away from the Royal Life.

when he arrived to the place, he looked around to see how busy it was. Seeing that it wasn't too bad, Harry finally stepped out of his car, quickly locking the door before stepping inside. He knew as he walked all eyes would be on him since he was in the Royal Family, but there was no way he was going to let that effect the night that was planned for him and this girl, that he had yet to meet.

Looking around the room when he stepped into the restaurant, Harry quickly made eye contact towards the young woman, noticing that she was wearing the exact outfit description that she had put in the text to him. Walking over to the table, he looked to her and smiled charmingly at her. "Cheryl?" He spoke softly in his British Accent as he looked at her. He could feel his heart racing as he looked at her. As he stood there for a second, Harry could already feel any anxiety of his going away. He sat down at the table across from her and smiled.

Hearing a British voice, Cheryl glanced up nearly chocking on her drink. She swallowed staring at him. Seeing him sit down after she'd nodded she smiled. "Harry." Cheryl smiled. "It's nice to finally see you." Cheryl told him biting her lip. She hadn't been expecting to go out with royalty. But she wouldn't deny it either. Smiling at him she felt all the anxiety she'd had earlier fading away.

Harry nodded, agreeing with her. "Well it's finally nice to put a face with the name." He chuckled as he looked over the menu that was placed before him. Watching her for a second more, he just smiled to himself. Yep, he definitely felt like he was going to enjoy himself with her. "So..." He said. "What are you thinking about getting tonight?" He asked, making some small talk.

Cheryl glanced up from her menu and smiled. "I am not sure honestly. Maybe a salad, and some lobster. I have no clue." Cheryl giggled softly and stared at him. "What about yourself?" Cheryl asked smiling.

Harry glanced over the menu, still trying to decide what he was going to settle on with eating. He looked to her and smiled, "Well I was thinking the steak." He said as he looked to him. When he heard her giggle, he just smiled. She had such a cute giggle, and he noticed that right off the bat. "This is one of the best places around here, so trying to decide what you're going to eat can be difficult." He laughed lightly.

Smiling Cheryl nodded her head, “Oh yes.” Cheryl told him softly nodding her head. “Last time it took me two hours to decided on what to have when I brought my mom here.” Cheryl smiled at Harry. She took and laid the menu down and took a sip of her wine. She was so nervous she couldn’t stand it. If her friend had told her it was the Prince of England, yeah, she’d still be nervous as hell. “So how is it being royalty?” Cheryl questioned softly staring at him.

Harry laughed a little at her question. "What it is like being royalty...well it has it perks but it also has it downfalls." He spoke honestly, taking a sip of his water. "I don't mind some of the duties that's expected of me. However, there is some things I could live without...like the paparazzi." He said. "But please don't think I am expecting you to treat me like a prince while we're on this wonderful date. To be honest, that's the last thing I want to be honest." He said. "Just think of me as a casual guy." He laughed lightly. "So with that...what do you do for a living?" He asked.

Smiling at him she took and admired him, “Oh trust me I don’t plan on treating you like a prince.” Cheryl smiled at him sipping her wine. “Oh me.” She smiled. “I’m a singer.” Cheryl admitted smiling at him. “It has its perks, but just like you. I wish the paparazzi would disappear at times.” Cheryl admitted smiling at Harry.

Harry couldn't help but smile. He could already tell that they had a good amount in common, and that made him interested to know more about her. "A singer?" He said with a bright grin. "That's nice to know." He smirked. "you know, I'll have to hear you sometime." He said as he motioned the waiter over so that they could order. After the food ordering was done, Harry couldn't help but look back at Cheryl once more. He didn't say a single word, just smiled at her, admiring her.

Through the evening, Cheryl talked with Harry and laughed at his jokes. She felt like she’d known him all of her life. She hadn’t realized that everyone was gone, and it was just them. Hearing the waiter clear his throat she knew it was time and they’d have to leave. Getting to her feet she grabbed her coat throwing it on. Smiling at Harry she cleared her throat, “Tonight has been truly amazing, Harry.” Cheryl smiled.

Harry quickly rose from his seat as Cheryl did. He nodded to her and smiled. He almost didn't want this night to end. "Tonight has truly been amazing." He agreed as he paid for the bill. He then gave her his arm, walking out of the place with her. He walked Cheryl to her car, looking to her. He wanted to kiss her, but didn't want to freak her out. He looked down to her, just smiling his charming smile. "I don't want this night to end." He finally admitted.

Looking up at Harry Cheryl smiled. “I don’t want this night to end either.” She admitted smiling as she stared up at him. “It has been so amazing, and I have loved every second with you.” Cheryl smiled at him.

Harry nodded to her. "Well I think we will definitely have to do this again." He said with a bright smile as he looked to her. Watching her reaction when he suggested that, Harry laughed lightly. "What do you think of that?" He said, feeling like he already knew that answer.

Smiling Cheryl nodded her head, “I think we should as well.” She smiled staring at him. She took and put her hand to his cheek stroking it a second smiling. She lent up kissing his lips smiling as she pulled back. “I couldn’t resist myself.” She whispered out.

Harry just chuckled at Cheryl's action. He was not complaining one bit. "No, no." He reassured her with a smile. "You have nothing to apologize for." He said softly. "I'm actually glad that you did that." He admitted as he cupped her cheek, kissing her softly on the lips.
