Smoke and Mirrors

Louis ran a hand through his hair as he listened to his boss. He was being assigned the protective duty of his daughters. One of them, Arianna, seriously could be a hand full and he wasn't sure how he was going to be able to handle her. He was almost positive that he was going to end up wanting to chop her head off before this was all over. There was a bright side to this, of course. Louis was going to be able to spend more time with the beautiful Arianna.

"Just be patient with Arianna and everything will go smoothly. I know she can get in the way a little and cause trouble but I promise you'll find it entertaining in the least," his boss told him. Louis nodded and shook his hand before heading out of the room in search for the girls. Hopefully, they were in their rooms or somewhere close by so that it would make his job a lot easier.

Aubree hummed softly to herself as she ran her fingers over the soft flower petals in the garden. She loved being outside, it was her favorite place to be. She absolutely could not stand being cooped up inside all day. She never could understand why they made her and her sister actually stay in there. Well, sometimes. It all depended on who was actually their so-called guard. They definitely went through plenty of them, that was for sure. Aubree sighed softly as she got up, grabbing the watering hose and beginning to water the flowers that she had planted not that long ago. They were little babies and she needed to make sure that they got all of the water and nutrients that they needed to grow. Aubree loved taking care of plants. She loved watching something grow from a bulb into something so beautiful.

Ariana stumbled as the door opened before her, she glanced up at Louis her cheeks flushing slightly. She had always found him attractive, which in all honestly wasn't too hard amongst some of her fathers thugs. Nonetheless she ignored his figure and slipped her way past him as if she hadn't just been listening to everything. "Daddy, can we please go to the cinema tonight? I can't stand the inside of this house for one more day. It's a cinema much could go wrong?" she pleaded.

Her rather chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. "That, my darling Ari, is for Louis to decide from now on" he told her, placing a kiss on her forehead before ushering them both out of the room. Ari looked at him and sighed, knowing her 'please daddy' wasn't going to work. "Luca already said he would drive us, so can can you just not try and act like a tough guy and say yes?" she asked crossing her arms over her chest glancing out at her sister through the window, as she watered the flowers.

"Hey happy hippy! Luca is gonna take us to see a film" she shouted down to her, not even waiting for an answer from Louis as she went to rush off to get ready.

((I was thinking that Ariana diverts them to a club instead and we can bring Mason in then if that's okay?))

Louis rubbing his temple as Arianna ran to her father to ask if she and her sister could go to the movies. He followed after her, chuckling when her father said that it was up to him to decide now. Louis was about to open his mouth when she completely ignored him and went to tell her sister that they were going somewhere. "Did I say that you two could go to the movies?" he said, throwing his hands in the air. Already he could tell that this was going to be a nightmare. Plus, he knew Arianna, and the movies were way to dull that she would just want to go there. He had a feeling that she had something up her sleeve. "Alright, fine, I give up," he groaned. "I guess we're going." Louis called for their driver, Luca, to pull up front. "If you have any preparations to do before we leave, hurry," he told them both with a look before heading out front to the car.

Aubree furrowed her brow as she looked over at her sister who was yelling at her, shaking her head. Of course, they were going somewhere. "I am not a hippy," she grumbled, tossing the watering hose down before she headed inside. She had caught the last little part of whatever Louis had been saying, rolling her eyes. Aubree made her way upstairs to her room, getting ready to go out for the night. If she knew her sister any, then they were going to have an adventure filled night ahead of them. When Aubree was finished getting ready, she left her room and headed out to the car. "Let's get this show on the road!" she said, sliding into the backseat. She was honestly pretty tired, but she knew that she had to somehow get full of energy for whatever charades her sister had planned for them tonight.

Ariana had just started climbing the stairs to her bedroom when she glanced at Lucia. "No, but I said we could" she told him with a wink and ran up to her bedroom laughing. A couple minutes later, Ari slid herself across the leather seats of Luca's car, a knee length red jacket tied across her revealing black dress to stop Louis from figuring out her exact plan too soon.

She smiled at her sister, passing her a bottle of soda with a knowing look, before opening her own and knocking it back. She shivered slightly, the vodka hitting the back of her throat. She rolled her eyes at Louis and told Luca to take a left. Soon after they pulled up outside Sinema, the flashiest club in town. "I didn't clarify which cinema we were going to" she teased, stripping off her jacket and quickly pushing her way out of the car before Louis could stop her. She stumbled slightly as she climbed out, some passing guy helping her out. "Get off me" she snapped, shoving him away from her before strutting towards the door. "You coming?" she asked Louis over her shoulder, raising an eyebrow.

Mason stopped in his tracks as a brunette stumble out of a car just before him. He held his arms out to steady her, frowning deeply as she snapped at him. He was about to retort, when he realised he was blocking somebody else from getting out of the car. "My apologies" he said, stepping aside and glancing up aT the woman. She appeared to be a more attractive and put together version of the girl from before. A smirk peeled it's way across his lips as he held a hand out to the girl, offering to escorts her inside.

"It appears your friend has left you for dust" he said with a soft laugh, glancing at the girl from before who had already disappeared inside the club. Walking her to the front of the queue, he gave the bouncer a nod. He looked between the two of them, slightly confused, but opened up the rope to the VIP area all the same. "Enjoy your night, Mr. Luccino". Mason lead her to a plush velvet booth and took a seat, patting the space next to him. "I'm Mason by the way, and you are?" he asked, his eyes taking in her entire body. He couldn't help but think she looked vaguely familiar, her friend had too.

Before Louis could even say anything, Arianna was out the door and heading into the club. He growled, really pissed off. With himself and with her. He should have seen this coming, really. She was always pulling stupid stunts like this. Louis got out of the car, tossing the keys to the valet before he followed Ariana inside. He was going to drag her right back out through that door and to the car if it were the last thing he did. “Arianna!” He yelled, trying to get through the crowed and catch up with her. So far he wasn’t having much luck. Louis took his bottom lip inbewterrn his teeth as he looked around, not seeing Aubree either. “I’m going to get fired,” he grumbled, rubbing his face. The last thing he wanted to do was loose Aubree too. Shaking his head, Louis made his way over to the bar to see if a certain someone was there, sighing as he indeed saw her. “Ridiculous,” he murmured. He walked over and grabbed her by her forearm, pressing his lips to her ear. “If you don’t come with me right now I swear you’ll never be set free from your room again,” he murmured, fuming. He was more upset that he got tricked than anything.

Aubree frowned a little when she looked up and saw the club. She actually kind of wanted to see a movie, or at least do something normal for a change. She shook her head as she watched her sister get out, sighing heavily as she yelled at some guy who was trying to help her. Aubree slid out of the car, taken by surprise when the man took her hand. She was even more surprised when the bouncer jus let them right in. She was confused to say the least and she wasn’t sure why she was letting this man just drag her to wherever he planned on taking her. Aubree grinned, running a hand through her hair as she looked him over. He was pretty attractive and she felt lucky to have run into him. She cleared her throat and carefully took a seat, biting her lower lip. This was completely crazy. She shouldn’t be here. “I’m Aubree,” she murmured, clasping her hands in her lap. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mason.”

Ariana felt a hand grabbing her and angrily shook it off, turning to glare at whoever it was. When she saw Louis and listened to what he had to say. She gave a snide laugh and shook her head at him. "threats like that don't work here Mr.Capaldi" she taunted and signalled the Batman for her usual before glancing back up at her bodyguard. "I bruise like a peach Louis, just try and pull me out of here and I'll show my dad those lovely little grip marks you just left on my arm. You'll be out of a job quicker than you can imagine" she threatened and turned to the bar collecting her drinks. "Where's Aubree?" She asked him, looking behind her for his sister. She sighed loudly realising he had lost her too.

"The pleasure is all mine" Mason said with a smile, picking her hand up out of her lap and laying a delicate kiss on it before letting it go again. He waved at one of the hostesses who instantly snapped to action preparing an ice bucket full of drinks. "So Aubree, what brings you out here tonight?" He asked, his eyes taking in each of her features. He turned his whole attention on this beautiful girl, ensuring she felt like, on that moment she was the most important person in his life,.. a trick which usually worked almost too well.
