I'll Erase You

Moon looked at herself a final time in the long mirror behind her bedroom door; she wore a short baby blue off-shoulder dress with horizontal white stripes with nude wedges. She was going out tonight with her best friend, Hina, to celebrate the end of sophomore year at University. It was Friday, so Busan would be thriving with nightlife. Moon didn't party a lot, especially not during the school year so she could maintain a high GPA in order to maintain her scholarship. Her parents would disown her if she lost it. She made peace with her outfit, deciding she'd look cute enough to thoroughly enjoy the night. She took a picture of what she decided to wear, and set it to Hina for final approval.


V poured another small glass of Soju, then brought the glass up to his lips and tilted his head back. He gave up on trying to keep tabs on his friends, not knowing where any of them were besides Jin, who sat next to him. V remembered when he was able to get drunk off of this stuff, but now he drank it more as a habit. A bridge to his human self, almost. They didn't need to eat anymore, but that didn't stop Jin. V looked over at him, watching him stuff sushi in his mouth. Jin noticed, and brought a piece of Kimbap up to V's mouth with his chopsticks.

"Get outta here," V waved the food out of his face.

"Learn to live a little, Tae-hyung," Jin urged him, stuffing the food into his mouth again.

"That's ironic," V joked, laughing a little at his own lame joke.

Hina looked down at her phone as it buzzed. It was a MMS from her best friend. Hina smiled and quickly texted her back, approving of her outfit. She then looked at her own outfit in the mirror; a black skirt and a red crop top, she planned to wear her leather jacket with it too. She slipped on her black combat boots and then the jacket before taking a picture and sending it to Moon. Yes or no?? she captioned it.

Yoongi sat perched on top of a building, watching Jimin and Jungkook. He sighed as he tilted his head back, wishing he could be at home right now. He hated going out, even as a vampire, he wasn’t much different from his human self, that’s what all the guys said. “Jimin, Jungkook, let’s go home.” He said as he jumped down. They pouted but soon followed him as he walked home. He would be so glad when he could get home and just sleep, even though he didn’t really need it.

Moon checked her phone, looking at the picture of Hina's outfit. They had opposite styles for the most part, but Moon always loved whatever Hina was wearing. She immediately texted Hina that the outfit was gorgeous. She slipped a pair of flats into her bag in the event she drank a little too much or her feet got too sore. She dusted a little glitter on her shoulders before leaving her apartment, and walking a couple of blocks to meet Hina outside of her building.

She welcomed the warm outside weather. The sun had already set, leaving small trails of the pre-existing daylight throughout the sky. Soon, the only thing that would be lighting up the sky would be the city. She wondered if the other classmates who they'd planned to meet in the city were already at the club. Moon soon arrived to Hina's building, pressing the buzzer to her flat.


"Why are we even out tonight?" Jin asked, seeming disappointed that he'd already finished all his food.

"Nam-Joon says we need to feed. Don't know why we'd do it here or now. Everything is so busy, there's too many people who could see," V answered. He poured another glass of Soju, but as he tipped the small glass back, he felt a hand come down onto his shoulder, causing the drink to spill all over his face. He harshly put the glass down and looked over his shoulder to see Ho-seok, big grin on his face. "Asshole," V muttered as he used Ho-seok's shirt to mop up his face.

"Jimin, Jungkook, and Yoongi are going home," he said.

"I want to go," Jin chimed in, "this is stupid."

"Yeah, let's go," V agreed, placing enough Won on the table to pay for the drink and Jin's food.

Hina pressed the button to let Moon in before grabbing her purse and heading down to meet Moon in the lobby. “Hey, Suki just texted me and said they’re already at the club.” Hina smiled as she walked back out with her friend.

As it got darker, more and more people began coming out. As the girls were walking, a guy bumped into Hina, their shoulders colliding. “What the hell?” She said, turning to see who bumped into her but they were already gone. “Asshole.” She muttered anyways as they made it to the club.

“Yoongi, you just hit that gurl.” Jimin said. “Don’t care.” Yoongi said, not even stopping to look at them. The world was too loud, all the noises hurt his head. He could hear Jin, V and Hoseok following them, even though they were further back.

He stopped to wait for the three to catch up. “Where’s Namjoon?” Yoongi asked. “Probably still at the club.” Jin shrugged. “Whatever.” Yoongi grumbled before turning back around and continuing the walk back to their dorm.

"People in the city are just so rude," I said, looking back for the guy that had bumped into Hina. "I have half the mind to go back an yell at him." He and his friends had already disappeared in the crowd, walking both directions down the sidewalk. "Are you okay?" she asked Hina, sure she was but wanting to make sure. She didn't want some random jerk on the sidewalk to ruin our night from the very beginning.

They were getting closer to the club, and Moon was sure they'd forget about those guys before then.


V's phone buzzed, and he looked down to see a text from Namjoon, Where are you guys?

Where are you?" he texted back. "I think Namjoon already knows we bailed," he joked.

At home, you guys haven't come back yet? V rolled his eyes, stuffing the phone back in his pocket along with his hand. "Nevermind, he was the first to bail."

"Seems we won't be in trouble then," Hoseok added playfully. The smell hit V's nose, and he didn't even need to think about what it was before his veins constricted, making his whole body feel hungry. He looked around and noticed some of the guys could smell it too, especially the other ones that hadn't really fed much.

“Yeah, I’m okay.” Hina said as they continued walking. Soon they were at the club. Hina was excited to just let loose. She went up to the bar and ordered some drinks for her and Moon before joining her at a table. “Let’s go dance!” She told Moon after they finished their drinks.

“You guys smell that?” Jimin asked, sniffing the air. “Yeah, let’s go investigate.” Jungkook said. “Yoongi, Hoseok, you coming?” Jimin asked. “No. I’m going home.” Yoongi said. “You haven’t fed tonight, hyung.” Jimin frowned. Yoongi sighed and looked at the others. “Fine.” He said and threw his arms up.

Moon followed Hina out to the dance floor, where they met up with Suki and Bo. Moon was ecstatic to finally focus on having some fun and let go of all of the stress from the past year. Once her and all of her friends finally got wrapped up into the music, she lost track of time.


V managed to walk down the sidewalk, even though he could hear the pulsating blood running through each human he passed. It was the smell that made him weak at the knees; being a young vampire, it was hard to control his impulses. He could also hear the other guys behind him, all wanting to get to the source of the smell. They got to an alleyway, where they could see a mother cleaning up the bloody nose of her young daughter. V quickly turned around to the guys.

"She's just a kid," he said, not being able to part with the morality he held onto as a human.

Soon it was past midnight, “Moon, you ready to go?” Hina asked her friend. She was tired of dancing and very well intoxicated. She just wanted to go home and sleep now. Once Moon got her stuff, they said bye to Bo and Suki before leaving.

“I can’t wait to crawl into bed.” Hina said as they walked down the street, headed for her apartment.

Yoongi nodded, “Come on, let’s go home.” He said. The guys were disappointed but none of them were going to harm a child, they may have been monsters but they weren’t that bad. “Hey, Yoongi, isn’t those the girls you bumped into earlier?” Jimin asked, seeing the two intoxicated girls stumbling towards them, giggling and having fun.

“Yeah, why?” Yoongi asked. “Well, they’re drunk...I doubt they’d remember anything.” Jimin said, watching the two girls closely. The closer they got the sweeter their blood smelled because of the alcohol. “Jin, what do you think?” Yoongi asked the eldest member.

Moon stopped on the sidewalk in order to change her shoes. She'd started getting weak ankles, an effect of being drunk, and began losing balance in her heels. She pulled her flats from her bag, and unstrapped the shoes she had on so she could slip into the much more comfortable, and easier to walk in shoes. She picked up the wedges by the ankle straps and ran to catch up with Hina, playfully bumping into her.


"How am I supposed to think rationally when I'm this hungry?" Jin answered Yoongi.

"Nam-joon forced us out tonight to eat," V chimed in, looking at the two girls, "Minds as well at least do that so we don't go home hungry."

Hina giggled as Moon pushed her playfully. She pushed her back, “You’re going to make me fall, man.” She giggled as the two of them stumbled along. They came across the guys that ran into Hina earlier and she was going to ignore them until Moon opened her mouth. “Moon come on, I wanna go home and sleep!” Hina whined.

Yoongi looked at the girls as they passed by. The one he had bumped into earlier was whining while her friend tried to scold him for running into the crybaby earlier. Yoongi rolled his eyes. This is why he didn’t deal with drunk girls.

Moon knew to hold her tongue, but it was like her body had a brain of it's own. "Don't you have any modesty?" She scolded the boy who had ran into Hina earlier, waving her finger in her face. "You can't just go around knocking girls down on the sidewalk." Moon could feel Hina tugging on her arm, begging her leave it alone.


V covered his mouth, hiding his laughter as he watched the girl scold Yoongi. "Geez, Yoongi hyung, what did you do?"

“Moon come on, it’s not that big of a deal.” Hina said, pulling on her best friend’s arm. She just wanted her to let the whole thing go, these boys looked like they could seriously injure them if they wanted to.

“Nothing.” Yoongi said, staring down at the girl. He swatted her hand out of his face before turning around and shoving his hands in his pockets and walking off.

Moon came back to her senses when the boy turned around and walked away, and decided not to follow after him. "Okay Hina, let's go home," Moon turned towards her so they could head back to Hina's flat. Then Moon could go home and soak in a bath.


"Yoongi," V chased after his friend, "We need to eat. Especially you...you're moody. Again."

"Can't we just follow them?" Jungkook offered.

"There's two of them and six of us. That's hardly enough," Jin protested.

Hina sighed. “Those guys are scary, Moon. They look like they’re up to no good.” She said as she continued the walk to her apartment. “I hope we don’t run into them anymore..” she sighed softly as they headed inside and up her third story apartment.

Yoongi sighed and stopped. “Fine,” He said and sniffed the air, “their scent is still lingering, come on.” He said. One of the best things about being a vampire was enhanced senses and speed, they arrived at the apartment complex as the girls were going into the elevator.

“How do we get in?” Jimin asked.

“We’ll use the shadows, of course.” Yoongi said.

He usually didn’t use the shadows to teleport unless it was absolutely necessary.

"They're not that scary," Moon protested Hina, "Just some thugs walking into innocent girls on the street." She felt really tired once they got up to Hina's floor, and decided it would probably be better to sleep on her couch for the night and go home in the morning. Plus, her headache was already starting to set in. That bath would just have to wait.

"Hinaaaaaa," Moon groaned, "Can I borrow some night clothes."


"We should split up," V suggested, "This building is crawling with drunk girls, I can smell it."

"You, me, and Hoseok can go to the floor below," Jin offered, "There's an alleyway here right next to the building. We can get through the shadows that way."

Hina went to her room and grabbed some clothes for Moon. “Here you go.” She said and handed them to her. “I’m going to bed. Night.” She told her friend before going back to her room and undressing.

Yoongi nodded. “We’ll go up higher.” He said, motioning for Jimin and Jungkook to follow him into the alleyway.

They used the shadows to get tonthe third floor and Yoongi sniffed the air. “I smell them. Text Jin.” He told Jimin.

Moon, in her drunken and dizzy stupor, began stripping off the clothes she wore out. She pulled over the baggy t-shirt Hina gave her and night shorts before she walked to the linen closet to grab a pillow and blanket. She threw them down on the couch before plopping down on top of them, realizing she forgot to turn the light off.

"Ugh," she moaned as she forced herself back up to turn the lights off.


V, Jin, and Hoseok stepped into the shadows behind the other three to end up in a dark room. It didn't smell as sweet as the two girls had, and V was slightly jealous.

"They've got the right apartment," Jin said, putting his phone away. Just like the rest of the guys, V could see clearly through the darkness, noticing they were in an empty living room. There were definitely humans in here, though, their scent was far too strong. Still sweet.

"I love hunting on Fridays," Hoseok said with his loud voice.

"Shut up, Hoseok," V hushed him, not wanting to wake anybody up.

Hina turned her light off as she crawled under her sheets, glad to be home finally so she could sleep off her drunken state. She was just getting to sleep when she thought she heard something in the living room. She sat up and reached for the lamp next to her bed but stopped.

“It’s probably just Moon.” She told herself and giggled softly as she shook her head and laid back down.

Yoongi waited for V and them and once they were there, he turned the knob hearing it click, “they forgot to lock the door,” He said softly. He shushed Jimin and Jungkook who were getting giddy with excitement.

He quietly pushed the door open and the six of them walked in. “The other one is probably sleeping in one of the rooms.” Yoongi whispered before going towards the bedrooms to find the girl he had bumped into earlier.
