I need you, I need you, I need you right now
Yeah, I need you right now
So don't let me, don't let me, don't let me down
I think I'm losing my mind now
It's in my head, darling I hope
That you'll be here, when I need you the most
So don't let me, don't let me, don't let me down
    Don't let me down

Dean Winchester smiled to himself as he drove through familiar streets. The last time he, or Sam, were in this neck of the woods was when their father dragged them here for two months. John's leads had led him to a Wraith, and to get his two sons from under his feet, John enrolled them in the local high school. "Man, I wonder if that diner is still open," he spoke out loud, hoping Sam wasn't too up to his eyeballs in research on his phone, knowing the nostalgia would hit him just as hard. "You know, the one Delia and Luna's parents owned?" Dean's smile widened at the thought of the two sisters they'd met all of those years ago. "I could grab a bite to eat, anyway."

Luna sat on top of one of the many tables, the mop bucket sat at her feet, waiting to be used. It was an hour and a half until closing time, and the whole day had been running slowly and hour by hour, the customers had become less and less. Nodding her head in time to the beat of the song that was playing through the speakers, Luna perked up as her sister, Delia, appeared from the kitchen. "Can we please close early?" She asked, thinking that if something exciting didn't happen soon, she might just die from the boredom she felt. "I'm gonna throw myself out of the friggin window."

Sam only lifted his gaze from his phone when he heard Luna's name, his heart swelling a bit with the memory of her. Luna had always been the one who got away, for Sam. The few months they'd been here before, he'd felt such an immediate connection to her, but he'd never brought himself to act on his feelings, too used to being ripped away from whoever he fell for - and, when it came to Luna, he fell so hard and so fast that it should have been frightening. But, more than anything, it'd been amazing and he regretted never approaching the topic with her in the past. "I guess we could always swing by and see," he mentioned, peering over at his brother out of the corner of his eye, trying not to seem too eager with the idea. Since Luna's parents had owned the diner, maybe there'd be a chance of seeing her there while he and Dean were in town at some point. "Do you remember how to get there?"

"I think it's a firm no from Charlie," Delia mentioned with amusement when she heard her sister's voice, looking up from her notepad to peer at Luna. "Any money is better than no money. Any customer is better than no customer. You know his weird motto." Shaking her head, she clicked her pen closed, since there weren't any new customers to deal with and the few that were there were already eating at a single table. It was only a matter of time before those customers left, though, and since they'd been so rude the whole time they were there - tourists, she figured, - Delia doubted they'd be getting any tips from them. "I mean, you're welcome to throw yourself out the window, but I'm not so sure the insurance company won't accuse you of insurance fraud," she joked lightly, moving over to lean against the table her sister was sitting on.

"As if I could ever forget," Dean chuckled. He'd always told himself, in between cases, he'd drop back and check in with Delia, but with everything that had been happening recently, down time for the brothers was rare. The thought of Delia was encouraging, and Dean had never felt anything so raw and real since, and he almost hated himself for allowing Delia to slip through his fingers as quickly as she did, and he'd lived with that guilt for so long. Pressing his foot onto the acceleration a little harder, a little more eager, Dean exhaled heavily. "Man, if we see 'em, I hope it's like old times." He threw the comment out into the open air aimlessly, although he doubted that Delia could change at all, even with all the years between their last encounter.

"Insurance fraud - could you imagine?" Luna snorted with laughter, shaking her head. "Sorry, Mr Stuck-up-asshole, I threw myself out of the window cause as you can imagine, business is just booming and I figured I could use some more fresh air to rid myself of the ever lingering smell of burgers." The blonde rolled her eyes jokingly, tightening her messy ponytail. The quartet sat by the window had nearly finished their meal, and Luna would be lying if she said she wouldn't be glad to see the back of them. "And to rid myself of rude customers who think it's alright to click their fingers at waitresses who have much better things to do than serve douchebags." She commented loudly.

Sam didn't even really bother to hide the way he perked up when it was settled that they'd visit the diner. He was sure they were setting themselves up for disappointment; for all they knew, Luna and Delia had moved away by now or they could even just be dead... But, Sam was hopeful that maybe, just this once, luck was on their side. "I hope it's better than old times," he admitted, because, while the past had been good for him, it could have been better if he'd just made a move. "But, I really don't see Luna changing. She was perfect how she was, she didn't have anything to really change about herself." And, he'd really enjoyed that about her - that she was her own person.

Delia couldn't help the laugh that bubbled out when she heard her sister's words. "You'd never hear the end of it," she pointed out teasingly, nudging her sister with a small grin. "And, when the insurance agent comes in for lunch or something, he'll give you those suspicious looks, wondering if you put something in his food." She laughed with the thought, rolling her eyes, because it sounded ridiculous but she knew how some people could be. Hearing her sister's final words, though, she made a face. "Tell me about it."

Dean grinned as the diner came into view, taking in Sam's words. "Who knows, man? This could be a second chance for us - look at this place, it hasn't changed." Dean felt a rush of relief. The diner hadn't changed at all, except for a fresh coat of paint on the exterior of the building, but apart from that, everything looked pretty much the same. Dean never really believed in second chances until now, and he found himself a little nervous, something Dean Winchester would never allowe himself to be. Waiting for Sam, Dean stuffed his hands into his pockets. "I'm starving."

Luna grinned. "I'd slip a little poison into his coffee, he'll be fine." She shrugged off Delia's nudge with a grin, climbing off the table, kicking the mop bucket along with her. "I mean, it's not exactly like he could shut the place down if I killed him," Luna pretended to be deep in thought, leaning against the handle of the mop as the thought more about it. "We could always say he choked, it's an easy cover up." The youngest of the two grinned at her big sister, the one she looked up to the most. "We could pull it off if we work together."

Sam smiled slightly, ducking his head with the thought, because the idea of a second chance appealed to him more than he wanted to admit. "Yeah... Yeah, maybe it is," he agreed, "So long as Luna's still around, anyways." He swallowed thickly with the thought, anxious but hopeful that he'd see her, that he'd run into her and everything would be okay or everything would be better. Maybe it was a chance at happiness that he should grasp and hold onto. "It's a small town. Even if they don't show up at the diner, maybe we'll run into them at some point." He had to maintain that hope. Nodding to himself, he climbed out of the car when it came to a stop and looked around. "Well, let's eat," he mentioned before leading the way into the diner.

Delia grinned with the mention of it, watching her sister. "Well, there's no way I could just let you go down alone, at the very least," she teased, pushing away from the table when she heard the engine of an approaching car and she nearly groaned. "And here I thought those four would be our last customers." Peering over to the window when the car parked, her brows furrowed. She couldn't see who got out of the car, the faces and builds being blotted out by the letters on the diner windows, but she could make out the car. "Why do I feel like I know that car?" It definitely wasn't one she'd seen come into the diner before, at least not any time recently since working here, but she felt like she knew it from somewhere.

Luna looked in the direction Delia was glancing at, and her eyebrows furrowed as the bell above the door tinkled politely. "I... I don't know," she murmured back to her sister, keeping the mop back in the corner. Thinking back, the only time Luna had ever seen a '67 Chevrolet Impala was back in high school, Sam Winchester's father had owned one. Luna smiled at the memory of Sam, smoothing out her apron. "Alright, well, looks like business is picking up - guess I won't have to throw myself out of the window, after all. Lucky for that insurance guy." Luna teased. "He got away easy - you wanna take this order?" She asked.

Dean followed Sam's lead into the diner, his heart leaping in his chest when he saw that everything was the same since the last time he and Sam had stepped foot into the building. A classic motorbike hung proudly from the ceiling - one of Mr Vespa's collected, worth thousands, according to him. Dean grinned at the memory, looking back at Sam. "See, what'd I tell you?" He made his way to a booth, sitting by the window, knowing Sam would sit opposite him. "It's just the same." His smile softened, and Dean picked up a menu, reading through the house specials.

Sam laughed with the mention of it and nodded slightly. "Yeah, yeah, you were right," he said easily, shifting to sit down as he peered around, taking in the sight of the diner. It felt like just yesterday that they would all be hanging out in here, just enjoying each other's company. "It's hard to believe that time hasn't changed this place at all." It still looked exactly the same as he remembered it - just as clean, just as bright. The only difference between now and then was that it used to be so busy, but he supposed today could just be a slow day. Well, that and the fact that the four of them weren't in their usual booth together, laughing and joking, and that they were definitely older now. He wondered, idly, whether time had changed Luna at all, and he hoped more than anything that maybe he'd get a chance to see her before they left and catch up with her.

"Lucky window is more like it," Delia teased lightly, grinning at her sister, "The insurance guy wouldn't have stood a chance either way." Shrugging, she looked back towards the car for a long moment, thinking back to her time with Dean in high school and she smiled to herself with the memory, feeling a tinge of the bittersweetness that came with it. Still, she nodded to her sister's words. "Yeah, sure, I can handle this order. Looks like it's only two customers, anyways." She hadn't gotten a good look at either of them, but she shrugged, anyways, and grabbed her notepad and pen before heading over. "Welcome to the Vespa Diner, I'll be your server -" She paused, though, blinking several times when she lifted her gaze to look at the pair. "Dean?" It was hard to believe that he was there, right there after all these years.

Sam looked up from his conversation with his brother, blinking several times, recognizing Delia easily, but he paused. "Wait, if you're here, then what about -"

"Luna?" Delia filled in easily, arching an amused brow, because she'd always seen how Sam and Luna had looked at each other in the past. Shifting, she looked behind her. "Luna, come here!"

Dean looked over as he heard the familiar voice, feeling his whole chest ignite with excitement. “Delia?” He laughed in shock, studying her, almost glad time hadn’t changed her at all, except she had matured, and even if possible, had gotten more beautiful. “Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes?” Dean smiled, getting up to hug the woman, hoping there was no tension or negative feelings for never coming back to visit the girls. “How’ve you been, stranger? Still saying that old line, huh?” He smiled warmly.

Luna accepted payment from the rude customers. “Coming!” Luna smiled, approaching Delia. “What’s u —“ pausing as she saw Sam and Dean, her smile grew even wider. “No way!” She laughed, covering her mouth with her hand. She studied Sam, feeling her heart race in her chest, all those old feelings coming back to her. Sam was a person she could never forget, the love that had never left her. “Aren’t you two a blast from the past?” She teased.

Delia couldn't help the broad grin that formed on her features with hearing Dean's voice for the first time in person in years. "Long time, no see, Dean," she teased lightly, taking him in, happy to see the smile and eyes that she still dreamed about more often than she cared to admit to. Seeing that he was standing up to hug her, she could feel her heart swell with just the thought and she shifted, moving over to hug him tightly, just enjoying being in his arms again after all these years. And, God, he still smelled the same and Delia couldn't imagine anything more perfect than that moment. "I've been good. Just working." For a moment, just a moment, she buried her face against him, just taking in his scent and the feeling of being so close to him, of feeling him there. "How've you been?"

"You're really here," Sam said with shock, staring at Luna for a long moment, just memorizing every single feature about her that he could. She'd been beautiful when they'd been younger - both inside and out - but time and maturity had made her damn gorgeous, and he found it hard to believe that the girl he'd fallen so hard for in the past could still look so perfect. "Who knew we'd run into you, huh?" Grinning slightly, he shifted to stand up, figuring that a hug between old friends was allowed - even though she'd always meant more to him than that. Just the thought of having her in his arms, even for a single moment, made his chest ache desperately and, before he could think too much into it, he grinned, opening his arms for her, arching a brow questioningly. "It's been too long since we last hugged, huh?" He grinned jokingly.

Dean smiled, holding Delia as close as he could without being seen as strange. He rubbed her back gently, bringing her more comfort, but also comforting himself, knowing she was safe and nothing bad had gotten to her in his absence. "Same old," he reassured. "Fighting the bad guys, and winning." He grinned, kissing the top of Delia's head. She hadn't changed her shampoo, and the scent of it made Dean feel intoxicated. "I've missed you, Delia." He murmured. "We got so much to catch up on!" Dean grinned, pulling away to take another long, good look at her, and just how perfect she was.

Luna laughed, stepping forward to wrap her arms around Sam's middle. "Sam, It's been too damn long," she murmured into the material of his shirt. "I've missed you!" She looked up at him, hesitant to pull away. The feeling of being in his arms made her the happiest she'd been in so long, she nearly couldn't believe her luck. Unable to stop the smile on her face widening, Luna just chose to stay silent for a moment. Sam felt like home, he always had, and she'd missed him more than she even thought possible. "Still a big teddy bear then, huh?" She teased.

Delia found herself relaxing into Dean's embrace, feeling as though it was as familiar to her as it had been back in the day. She'd missed being in his arms more than she could really admit to - and she'd never admitted how much she missed Dean to anybody besides Luna. "Winning, huh? Or are you just saying that to make a good impression?" she teased but she grinned when she felt him kiss her head, too easily reminded of the past. "I've missed you, too." She peered up at him, watching him before she stepped back after he pulled away. "We do. I don't even know where to start."

Sam chuckled as he slid his arms around her, holding her tightly to himself, but not tight enough to hurt, just enough to where he knew she was safe in his arms, that she was actually there and he wasn't imagining things. "I've missed you, too," he told her honestly, "It feels like it's been forever." And, it really did; it felt like it'd been forever since he'd seen her, since he'd gotten lost in her eyes, since he heard her mesmerizing voice, since he felt her in his arms. He wished it never had to be like that. "Ooh, a teddy bear, huh? What about you? Anything changed since we left?" He arched a brow, genuinely curious.

Dean smiled as he took her in once more. "We always win." Dean winked. "Well, let me know what's been new with you. How are your Mom and Dad, how's the diner?" He looked around, still glad to see that everything was the same. He sat down, shifting over for Delia to have room to sit beside him. He wanted her around him as much as possible, just afraid of letting her out of his sight in case she disappeared. "I want to know everything." He smirked.

"Not really, I grew up, that's pretty much it." Luna grinned, hesitantly pulling away. "Still doing that whole demon ass busting gig?" She asked, studying him, trying to look for any major differences, smiling wider as she saw nothing significant. He was still as beautiful as the day he left. "Long hair suits you." She commented, wanting to get lost in his voice, nothing bringing her as much comfort as him, even after all this time.

Delia offered an amused look, shifting to slide into the seat next to him, finding it to feel like the most natural thing in the world, even after all these years. "I tried college. It didn't stick," she told him with a shrug, "Mom and Dad are good. They're looking to expand the diner, can you imagine that?" She shook her head with amusement and leaned back in the seat, watching him. "The diner's done well. It's not as busy, but it still gets good traffic."

Sam smiled, watching her, just taking her in for a long moment, but nodded. "Well, I guess we couldn't be kids forever," he joked lightly, shifting to sit down, though he patted the spot beside himself, motioning for her to join them. "Yeah. I took a break for a while, but some things came up and I got back into it." But, he wouldn't change that now, not after saving so many people. He grinned, though, arching a brow. "Yeah? You think so?" He jokingly ran a hand through his hair and shrugged. "You look amazing after all this time. How have things been for you, outside of growing up?"

Dean grinned. "Hey, I'd visit every single diner your parents' owned in the country, don't test me." He wrapped an arm around Delia's shoulders, knowing it would be welcomed and he wouldn't be seen as strange for doing so. "What did you try to study?" Dean laughed, shaking his head. "I always knew you were smart enough to get." He exhaled in content. "It's so good to see you after so long." He confessed, unable to stop his smile from widening.

Luna laughed, sitting next to Sam. "I definitely think so." She grinned as he ran his hand through his hair, biting her lip. He was always so gorgeous, but his longer hair just seemed to frame his face and bring out his best features. "Things have been great." She smiled. "I dropped out of college and decided that sponging off Mom and Dad isn't such a bad idea after all." She winked jokingly, nudging him. "Nah, I got a degree. It was fun."

Delia laughed with the mention of it. "Of course you would, you burger junkie," she teased with a broad grin, watching him, though she found herself naturally easing into the feeling of his arm around her, leaning against him just slightly. "I was studying Sociology. I thought about being a social worker, but I think I'd be too emotionally invested and that's not a good thing to be in that line of work." She shrugged slightly and peered up at him, smiling slightly. "Yeah, I know what you mean. I was sure you'd die before I'd see you again."

Sam smiled as he watched Luna, taking her in, so glad to see her, to know that she was still alive and okay and that she seemed to be enjoying life as much as she could. "That's good," he decided with a nod, watching her for a while. "What degree did you get? Any plans to put it to use?" It was his turn to nudge her this time, his grin broadening teasingly, though he was enjoying just having this down time with her while he could. It'd been so long since he saw her last and he wanted to enjoy every moment of this. "I tried college, was planning for law school and everything before Dean here showed up in the middle of the night and dragged me back in."

Dean laughed to Delia's remark about him being a burger junkie. "This is one addiction that I don't want cured." He joked, adjusting himself so Delia could rest against him comfortably, enjoying her being in his embrace once more. "Sociology, hm? It suits you." Dean smiled. "You always were so amazing with kids." He smiled back, squeezing around her carefully, in case she'd break if he squeezed too hard. "Me? Die? I could never let that happen knowing you were still out there." Dean promised with a confident wink.

Luna laughed. "Any plans to put my crappy Psychology degree to use?" She raised her eyebrows, pretending to be in thought. "Uh, no, not really." She laughed, loving that even after so long, they could still tease each other and act so natural, loving the fact there was barely any space between them. "Law school?" She looked impressed. "You smart ass." She looked to Dean, who was preoccupied with Delia, before looking back to Sam. "Is it wrong of me that I'm glad you're back to hunting?" She asked with a cheeky grin.

Delia rolled her eyes with amusement. “Of course. That’s how bad your addiction is,” she teased lightly, grinning up at him, finding something inherently easy about being around him and talking to him, even after all this time. “Yeah, but it didn’t work out that way, so…” She shrugged gently but smiled with the squeeze, watching him for a moment. “Always the smooth talker, Winchester.” Shaking her head, she laughed, amused, but glad that things hadn’t really changed.

Sam smiled and shrugged slightly. “That’s fine. At least you seem to be enjoying this job,” he told her teasingly, though he wasn’t really sure. Still, he laughed. “Yeah, law school. I was doing really well in it, too.” He watched her for a moment, smiling, glad to see her so comfortable around him, despite the many years that had passed since they’d last seen each other, and he felt incredibly lucky for that. “I don’t think it’s wrong at all. It’s been one crazy ride, but it’s been worth it.” Especially now, with seeing her again.

Dean grinned back at Delia, and he knew that it was a dangerous game he was playing, he could get lost in her eyes for days, and there were times, from their teenage years, that he had. "Always, don't expect anything less from me, sugar." He winked. "Hey, does that kid, Joe, he still work here?" He asked, remembering the dorky boy who always tried to hit on Delia - he wanted to know more about her still being a waitress, wondering if she enjoyed it or if she craved excitement.

Luna smiled weakly with Sam's comment about enjoying the job, but perked up quickly, not wanting to worry him. "Of course." She nudged him gently, watching how Sam's face lit up when he spoke about Law school, but seeing how there was no real happiness behind it, knowing Sam well enough to tell. "You would, you're so smart, Sam." She smiled. Blinking as she heard his words though, she grinned. "And you've been saving people's asses. They oughta make a holiday outta you two."
