Mackenzie looked at Ryker when he spoke and started to give advice. "I don't think hitting him is a good idea." She said as she sat up some again. Mackenzie leaned back against her chair as she looked over at Alec.

Alec frowned as he looked at them, "Mack, do I need to remind you that you shot a fucker today? Don't be giving me advice about fighting." He said laughing. He shrugged, "I'm going to kick his ass." He said

Bran frowned, "Your boyfriend? Well, I'm sure he can take care of himself while you help out here." He said.

Ryker laughed before saying, "I said warn him first, not hit him first!" He grinned at Alec. "Just don't do it in the hospital." He pointed out to him.

Mehki watched him and sighed, "Well, our friend is hurt, so I would like to be with them." She told him. "I stay late a lot, but I just can't today." She tried to tell him beginning to walk away.

Mackenzie rolled her eyes a little at Alec's comment. "Yea well...fuck off." She said as she looked away from the boys.

Alec laughed a little, "I will wait til we are off the property. That way I don't draw attention to myself." He said smirking. "You need to get better so you can help me kick his ass." He told his friend.

Bran frowned before grabbing her arm, "I need you to work longer. Do you want to lose your job?" He threatened.

Ryker laughed and said, "Head injury. Vision is blurry. Just tell me where to hit." He joked hearing Mackenzie and chuckled. "What did he do to piss you off?" He asked him with a raised eyebrow.

Mehki pulled her arm from his grasp almost immediately. "I hate plenty of built of time from never missing work before. I won't lose my job just because you say I will. There are plenty of other nurses here that can work. Don't touch me." She warned him raising her voice getting upset.

Mackenzie frowned as she looked at Ryker, "He is being a jerk." She said, shrugging. She looked over when she heard Mehki outside of the room.

Bran frowned at her, "Get out of my emergency room. Your shift is over." He said to her, glaring.

Alec frowned when he heard the noise outside. He stepped out, standing in the doorway. "Is there a problem out here?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at Bran.

Ryker sighed before saying, "He's just annoyed. Don't take it to heart." He murmured before looking up hearing Mehki and boy did she sound mad.

Hearing those words infuriated Mehki beyond anything she could have imagined. She walked up to him before shoving her clipboard on his chest harshly. "First off I don't recall the emergency room having your name on it. And second off I don't recall answering to you. I answer to my shift manager no matter who the hell you think you are!" Her voice had risen to a shout at this point as her normally cheery attitude and face changed to an enraged one. "I'm fine." She turned her attention back to Bran. "Don't touch me again." She went to walk past him towards Alec.

Alec frowned as he watched her shoved the clipboard at the guy. He stepped towards her, "Mehki, what the hell is going on. Did that asshole touch you?" He asked, looking at Bran. He glared as Bran walked off. He looked back at her, "Tell me what is going on." He said.

Mackenzie frowned when she heard the yelling. She looked at Alec and Mehki as the two spoke. She glared at the guy walking away. "You want me to go hit him?" She asked.

Alec looked at Mackenzie, "Chill Mack. I got this." He said.

Ryker heard Mehki shouting and said, "Oh I've gotta see this." He managed to get out of bed and watched Mehki basically tell the guy off and his eyes got wide seeing her actually shove her clipboard into his chest. He laughed.

Mehki looked at Alec, "He grabbed my arm. Nothing serious. He tried to get me to stay after my shift but I told him no countless times and that I had never missed a day and I wanted to spend my time after my shift with you guys since Ryker's hurt and then I tried to walk away and he grabbed my arm saying I needed to stay after anyways and implied if I didn't I'd lose my job and then I told him no and he pulls some shit like that? To get out of HIS emergency room? Excuse me?" She huffed before turning around and yelling at him, "CONSIDER THIS MY OFFICIAL RESIGNATION. HAVE FUN EXPLAINING TO THE MANAGER WHY I'M LEAVING!" She turned back around still mad. "The nerve!" She made a noise from pure irritation ignoring Ryker's laughing. She swung to look at him. "Bed. Now."

Ryker blinked seeing Mehki and quickly shut up. "Yes yes." He muttered before heading back to his bed.

Mackenzie laughed a little when Mehki scolded Ryker. "Yea go to bed." She teased him. She looked at Mehki and crossed her arms. "Damn you are more of a badass than I thought you were." She teased her. She rolled her eyes when Alec said something. "Shut up, loser." She said before she walked to Ryker's bed and sat on the side of it.

Alec looked at her, hearing her yell. "Did you just quit?" He asked. He sighed as he walked into the room with her. "Mackenzie shut up." He joked. He sat down and looked at Mehki, "So, you sure you don't want me to beat him up? I could go take his tires of his fancy care real quick." He teased.

Ryker stuck his tongue out at Mack before sighing when he was back in bed and whispered to Mackenzie while Mehki and Alec were talking, "Have you ever seen her that mad? Wait, just plain mad?" He raised an eyebrow.

Mehki sighed and said, "Yes, I did just quit. I can easily get a new job somewhere where that asshole isn't." She sat down beside him and glanced at Mackenzie just giving a slight smile before looking back at Alec. "Very tempting, but I think i'll just let him enjoy his embarrassment of having to come in here and see me while he treats his patient." She was beginning to feel her blood pressure decreasing from the sudden spike.

Mackenzie looked at Ryker and shook her head. "No." She whispered back. She looked at his hand, wanting to hold it. She looked back at him and smiled. She was glad that he was okay.

Alec smirked, "Come on, Mack and I could tear his whole care down in like half and hour." He joked. "Faster if we had Ryker to help." He teased.

Ryker laughed softly and muttered, "This is better than television." He smirked a little his hand brushing hers slightly as he leaned back beginning to feel a little tired. "Only if we get to keep his tires!" He chimed in.

Mehki laughed hearing his words starting to feel better, "No, just leave it alone. Besides I don't even know which car is his." She pointed out to him ignoring Ryker alltogether just shooting him a look.

Mackenzie laughed, "Yea we want the tires." She teased as her fingers grazed over Ryker's. She could tell he was exhausted from the day.

Alec laughed, "Fine, Fine, I will leave it alone." He told her. He really just wanted to get back at the guy for thinking he could mess with her.

Ryker grinned and said, "We could probably put them on your car, Mack." He told her. He ignored the IV in his arm knowing he had probably made it sore from getting out of bed.

Mehki waved Ryker off and nodded her head. "Thank you." She told him with a smile before grabbing Ryker's clipboard and turning to an empty page before beginning to write her resignation with detailed reasons as to why she was leaving.

Mackenzie smiled at him, "You are right. We could do that." She told him. She leaned back against her chair.

Alec watched as she started to write stuff down. "So where exactly are you going to work at now?" He asked. He was worried about her.

Ryker nodded in agreement. "I still need to fix so much on your car." He sighed looking at the ceiling shaking his head. "Will it ever be done?" He fake sobbed.

Mehki looked at him and smiled gently, "I had a few interviews lined up before I got this job with people very interested in my resume. Don't worry I'll find work soon." She told him. Seeing his worried expression, she took his hand lightly while writing with the other one.

Mackenzie looked at him and smiled, "I mean you don't have to rush it. We could always just get a new one." She said, shrugging.

Alec took her hand, looking at the way her hand fit in his. He knew that his lifestyle wasn't exactly the fanciest and he didn't make the most money. He would always do his best to make sure she had what she needed. "Okay, I just want to make sure." He said.

Ryker wrinkled his nose at the suggestion and shook his head. "Nope. I spent way too much time on it." He sighed and said, "Why would you wanna throw it away huh?"

Mehki hummed softly feeling better now that she had yelled at Bran and was definitely feeling better with Alec. She was tired and ended up falling asleep mid-writing. Her head falling gently on his shoulder. Her shift was supposed to be over in an hour but she was tired as it was. She had gotten to their house after work yesterday and then didn't sleep but worked on asshole to make sure he was fine before going into the hospital and then started working again.

Mackenzie looked at him, "I don't. I'm just saying it would make things easier for you. I know you put a lot of work into it and I appreciate that Ry." She said. She bit her bottom lip lightly as she looked at his hand. She took his hand in hers, before looking at him again.

Alec looked over, seeing that Mehki had fallen asleep. He knew it was going to be a long night. He also knew how exhausted she was. He was glad she was going to get away from Bran though. Alec looked over when he heard Mackenzie and Ryker talking.

Ryker grimaced in pain as he rode in the car on the way home. He was grumbling to himself having not liked being in the hospital. He hoped that fucktard didn't try and bother them especially after getting shot by Mack.

Mehki yawned softly having had a good nap earlier but having needed to go home and change. She had gotten back to the hospital in time to see Ryker being discharged. She smiled at Alec and rode with them back to their house in case they needed anything.
