Freya frowned a bit, but nodded, not wanting to push him. "Well, if you get too uncomfortable, please feel free to kick me out of the bed." She smiled, pulling one of her extra blankets off of her bed before moving over to him.

"It can be cold in here.. Do you need anything? Are you sure you'll be comfortable?" She asked with a small frown as she studied him, watching him remove his various weapons.

Rowan smiled weakly, "I'm sure I'll be fine, thank you," he said softly. He piled his weapons next to the seat, and sat down getting comfortable. He looked at her, "seriously, I've slept in worse places," he said.

"Exactly, which is why you should take the opportunity to sleep in a nice bed." She smiled, leaning down once he was seated to tuck the blanket around him, face awful close to his as she looked at him. "I just want to do something kind to repay you for your help... I haven't done anything to deserve it, but you're doing so much for me."

Rowan looked up at her, "well you're kinder than your father, my hope is you'll one day become the queen, these people need,' he said lightly. He smiled softly, "I can hardly let you be killed, can I," he added.

Freya blushed a little at his praise, smiling faintly. "I'm glad you have faith in me.." She murmured, brushing a kind hand over his cheek before pressing a tender kiss to his forehead. "Sleep well, Rowan." She murmured before moving back to her bed, sliding under the sheets before drifting off to sleep.

Rowan smiled softly, blushing as she kissed his forehead. "You too, princess," he said softly. He closed his eyes, and drifted back into a light sleep.

He slept soundly, the sweet scent of the blanket clouding his mind, allowing him to forget his worries for the moment.

Freya slept soundly, a bit cold because of her missing blanket, but she didn't mind letting Rowan use it, knowing he probably needed it more than she did.

After a few hours of peaceful sleep, however, she began to have nightmares, tossing and turning in her bed as she whimpered, kicking off her blankets in the process, despite the chill in the air.

Rowan always had been a light sleeper, so when she began tossing and turning, it woke him. He sat up in the chair, before walking over to her bedside.

He reached out shaking her awake, "Freya, ssh, it's okay," he said softly.

Freya woke with a start when he shook her, whimpering a little as she looked up at him, eyes wide with fear. She held onto his arm tightly, chewing on her lip anxiously, still terrified from her dream.

"I-I'm sorry I woke you.."

Rowan shook his head, "don't worry about it," he said lightly. He pushed her back down onto the bed, "what was your nightmare about?" he asked her gently. He sat up on the side of her bed. His eyes looking over her vulnerable form.

Freya kept her hold on his hand as she laid back, frowning up at him. "Th-The other king.. The one who wants me dead... He was here, a-and he was killing me himself.." she frowned, shaking her head a little at the thought, attempting to tug him closer.

Rowan nodded softly, "oh I'm sorry, It'll all be sorted soon, hopefully,' he said lightly. As she tugged him closer, her fell over on top of her. He chuckled lightly, "stop it, you'll cause someone to come in here," he said

Freya blushed as he fell on top of her, laughing a little. "If you keep being loud someone might." She teased, squirming underneath him a bit, acting as if she were being crushed with a small grin.

Rowan smiled and rolled off her gently, ending up beside her on the bed. "Damn your bed is comfy," he said softly. He left his arm draped over her.

Freya giggled a little as she rolled over to look at him, studying his face curiously. "I tried to tell you, but you insisted on the chair.." She teased, nudging his side with her elbow.

Rowan nodded, and looked at her, "Well, If I knew it was this comfy," he said. He lay there looking at her, wondering what she was thinking.

Freya nodded, laying her head on the pillow as she looked at him, resting comfortably on her stomach. She was quiet for a while, studying him, but eventually she spoke. "Is it hard? Being alone all the time?"

Rowan kept his eyes on her, as he relaxed onto the bed. "It gets hard sometimes, but its safer to be alone, in my line of work," he said. He ran his hand down her back gently.

Freya shivered a little as he ran his hand down her back, blushing slightly. "But wouldn't it be better to have a partner or something? Someone to come home to or to keep you from being lonely?" She asked with a frown, watching him.

Rowan looked at her, "it would mean, giving my enemies someone to get to me through," he said lightly. He lightly tapped her back with his fingers, his hand moving down her back towards her bum slowly.

Rowan didn't know what he was doing here with her, he knew he shouldn't be here.
