Can we make this a lifetime,
You're all I want right now
Life keeps telling me I need to go,
But what if I wanna stay?
Cause I'm lost here without you

Dean Winchester wiped the dirt from his cheek as he opened the salt he and his brother, Sam, always kept handy in the trunk of the Impala. "Alright, this bitch won't be disturbing anyone again." He murmured as he poured salt over the bones of the woman who died all the way back in the 1800s and attached herself to a necklace passed down in the generations of her family. Even if this situation was just a normal Saturday night for them, Dean couldn't help but look over his shoulder every so often, still a little paranoid "This place is creepy." He handed Sam the lighter as he climbed out of the grave, throwing his shovel towards the car.

Noah shivered as she walked, bare foot, through the graveyard, unsure of how she got there. "Hello?" She called, her voice weak, throat hoarse, as if she hadn't spoken for months. Her feet sunk into the dirt as she walked along the sea of headstones, trying to preserve as much body heat as she could, her skin pale from the cold. The thin garment of the white summer dress she wore wasn't helping at all. One moment, she was in the backyard of her Grandparents house with her younger brother, both of them taking turns to throw a tennis ball around with their Labrador, and the next, she was in the middle of a cold, damp graveyard, unsure of what was happening.

Dean looked around as he heard footsteps. "Hurry up, Sam." He frowned, unsure if someone was calling or if he was hearing things.

"It's a graveyard, it's supposed to be creepy," Sam replied easily to his brother as he took the lighter and climbed out of the grave after him, staring down at the bones for a moment. "Least we can get out of here the moment this is done." He paused, though, thinking he heard something, and peered around, his brows furrowing. "Did you hear that?" Looking to his brother, he frowned, trying not to worry. He knew that, once he lit the body up, the light from the flames would probably be seen and attract attention to them, but if they were quick enough, they could get to the car and get away. Lighting up the flame, he dropped the lighter into the grave, watching the skeleton burst into flames.

Fallon found herself stumbling through the graveyard, trying to process where she was and what had happened. Hadn't she just been talking to her mother about the books they were reading? And her dad had been playing music on his beat up radio, so how was she here? Her feet were dirty from walking in the graveyard, but she couldn't understand how she'd gotten there in the first place - especially when it'd been daytime just moments ago, from what she remembered, and suddenly it was nighttime. Swallowing hard, she cringed at the slight pain that came from it, her throat dry in a way she couldn't explain. Eventually, she managed to get out of the graveyard, only to be nearly blinded by the lights of the city, the lights sending an ache through her eyes as she held her arms up to block the view.

Dean frowned. "I heard something. You wanna go and check it out?" Dean asked, offering Sam their machete for protection, in case it was anything like a ghoul. "I can get everything together, then we gotta get to the motel, get some rest before heading back tomorrow." Dean suggested, watching as the fire spread down the skeleton.

Noah sniffled slightly, seeing a dim light in the distance, something resembling flames. "Hello?" She called again, trying to walk faster, her whole body weak. "I'm not here to hurt you, I - I think I'm lost." She blinked away the tears, confused about how everything seemed to change in a matter of moments, her eyes struggling to adjust to the darkness, her throat dry and arms heavy.

Driving his pick up truck, James nearly slammed his foot on the brakes as a woman came into view, obviously distressed and tired. Stopping just beside her, James rolled down his window. "Are you alright there, sweetheart?" He asked, watching her carefully to ensure she wasn't armed dangerously. "C'mon, let's go get you a coffee, you look like you need it."

Sam nodded slightly with the mention of it, taking the machete. "Get the car started in the meantime," he told his brother, taking his brother's decision for tomorrow as the solid plan, and made his way into the darkness with his flashlight. "Hello?" But, he'd heard a voice again and could only barely make out what they were saying, his brows furrowing as he turned the light on and followed the noise of footsteps. As he got closer, he paused at the sight of a woman, blinking several times, but didn't let his guard down just yet. "Who are you? What are you doing out here?" And why was she wearing just a thin dress? He felt a quick leap of pity fill him and he shifted, taking his jacket off. She didn't look like any sort of danger; she looked scared and confused. And, admittedly, she was beautiful and he wanted to comfort her. Moving over, he gently placed his jacket over her shoulders. "It's dangerous at night, you know..." He watched her with concern, wanting more than anything to help her. "How about we go get you something warm? It's freezing out here and you're clearly not dressed for this temperature."

Fallon paused, peering at the stranger when she heard the voice. "I don't..." she started, but cleared her throat when she felt how raspy and odd it sounded. "I don't know. I don't know how I got here." She swallowed hard, unsure about getting in the truck with the man; she knew there were people out there with nefarious intentions. But, she was more afraid of being alone with her fear, so she shifted, making her way over, and opened the passenger door carefully to climb in, buckling up. "Thank you."

Noah looked at Sam, feeling some sort of invisible connection pull her to him, something she couldn't shrug from her shoulders. "Thank you," she replied meekly. "My name is Noah." She explained, finding herself calmer as she pulled his jacket around herself, grateful for the warmth, appreciating how the musky scent of his cologne brought comfort to her. "I don't know how I got here," she explained, blinking slowly. "One minute, I was in my Grandparents back yard, and in a blink, I was here." She explained with a frown. At his offer of somewhere warm, she smiled at him gratefully, nodding. "Thank you." She said again, following him back to where Dean was waiting by the Impala.

"It's alright, my name is James." He introduced himself, trying to show her he wasn't a threat in anyway. "And who are you?" He asked gently, making his way to the nearest diner, two miles from where they were at that moment. "It's dangerous at night around these parts." He spoke slowly. "Do you have anyone you can call to come and get you?" Although he noticed her bare feet and raised his eyebrows in worry.

Sam nodded slightly, watching her for a long moment, taking her in, wondering how somebody like her had ended up in a place like this. "Sam," he introduced quietly, offering a small smile in hopes of comforting her, because seeing her so confused and scared wasn't something he wanted to see. A part of him wanted to see her smile, more than anything. ''Well, um... Where do your grandparents live? Maybe me and my brother can take you there after you've warmed up?" Shifting, he placed a hand on her back as he led the way back to the Impala and settled his gaze on his brother. "Noah, this is my brother, Dean." He motioned, watching his brother. "She's lost. I figure we can get her some place warm first, because she looks like she's freezing."

"Fallon," she introduced quietly, shifting anxiously as she peered out the window, watching the lights and shop signs as they passed. She didn't like feeling this lost and this confused. Blinking, she peered at the man, thinking for a moment. "I don't... I don't know. I don't think so? My parents don't have phones..." She felt the anxiety growing, because she didn't know how to get home, either, she couldn't even remember the address.

“I... don’t know, Sam.” Noah frowned, suddenly retreating into herself as she remembered a small detail. “They died a long time ago,” she murmured, ducking her head. She couldn’t put the pieces together, she could’ve sworn that she was with them. She looked at Dean, seeing the car and panicking slightly, not understanding why it brought her so much anxiety. She held back for a moment, but unable to take Sam’s kindness for granted, she exhaled the breath she had been holding and approached the car.

Dean noticed her bare feet and raised his eyebrows. “Sure, there’s a diner about two miles away from here, we can grab a coffee.” Dean shrugged, looking at Sam with apprehension. “Sammy, you can sit in the back seat, keep an eye on her.” Dean instructed, mainly just wanting to make sure she was stable.

“Well, Fallon, don’t you worry.” James smiled as he parked up at the diner, digging through his wallet for some money. “We can get you a coffee, can’t leave you out in the cold by yourself.” He exited the pickup truck, hoping that Fallon would collect her thoughts and calm down.

Sam blinked with confusion, looking to her. "Wait, did you just say that your grandparents died?" he asked with surprise, watching her for a long moment. How was that possible if she'd just been playing in their backyard? He supposed the house could still be in her grandparents' name, but that didn't make much sense, either. Maybe she had amnesia? Still, he nodded to his brother's words and moved to open the car door for her, watching her for a moment. "It's okay, we'll figure this all out." But, he wondered why she seemed tense suddenly. His brows furrowed. "Are you okay?"

Fallon nodded weakly to his words, listening quietly to what he said. "Okay," she murmured, trying to focus, trying to think. Shifting, she waited a few moments, worried, but eventually climbed out of the truck, feeling the cold asphalt under her toes, and she tried not to shiver, but quickly went towards the building. For a moment before she entered, she peered around, feeling something nagging at the back of her mind, but she couldn't put it together, her mind all over the face. Swallowing nervously, she made her way into the diner quietly.

Noah looked between the car, and down to her abdomen, remembering something, but she couldn’t be sure of what. “I, uh, yeah.” She climbed into the backseat, grabbing her safety belt quickly, ensuring her safety. “Thanks, guys.” She tried to smile, but she felt herself too anxious to do that, even.

Dean raised his eyebrows at Sam through the rear view mirror. “Food will do you some good, too.” He started the car and pulled away from the cemetery gates, trying to figure out if Noah was who she claimed to be. There had been so many things on their mind recently with Amara and Chuck, the last thing they needed was this.

James followed Fallon inside. “Grab a seat. If you see someone you know, tell me. I can explain the situation.” James smiled, going to order them something.

Sam watched her for a long time but climbed into the car after her. Once he was sitting inside, he buckled up and closed the door but reached to take her hand to give it a squeeze, concerned for her. He promptly ignored the look he saw from Dean in the mirror, focusing on Noah. "You don't have to thank us," he assured her gently, hoping to find some way to distract her from whatever was bothering her. "Just take it easy and make sure to let us know if something's wrong, alright?"

Fallon watched him leave quietly before she peered around the diner for a few moments. She could have sworn that she recognized the layout, but she couldn't bring herself to concentrate long on the issue and she moved to find a seat, trying to find anybody who looked even remotely familiar. Unfortunately, she couldn't recognize anybody and it made her heart sink a bit.

“Okay,” she murmured, accepting Sam’s hand within her own and squeezing gently in gratitude. “I just, I guess I don’t like cars?” Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she tried flicking through her memories. Some of the best times were spent road tripping with her family, so why did she feel so scared? She shrugged it off.

Dean pulled into the diner, silently praying to Castiel for some help as he did. “I’ll grab us some coffee.” He smiled, trying not to act freaked out as he passed a young woman, dressed in something similar to Noah, looking just as frightened and confused. “Ma’am,” he nodded. “Are you feeling alright?”

Sam blinked with the mention of it but eventually offered a small nod. "I suppose there are people who don't like cars," he said gently as he watched her, wondering if she'd been in some kind of accident. Maybe she'd formed amnesia through that? Shaking his head, he climbed out of the car and offered his hand out to help her out. "C'mon, let's get some warm food in you, yeah?" He offered a smile.

Fallon paused, breaking out of her thoughts when she heard a voice and she peered up towards the source, blinking several times as she took the man in. She didn't recognize him at all, but something about him seemed... Right? Comforting? She couldn't put a word to it but shifted. "Um, I don't... Really know," she said quietly, watching him, her brows furrowing. "I just... Don't know what's going on..."

Noah nodded, taking his hand and shuddering at the cool tarmac beneath her bare feet. “What month is it?” She asked meekly. She could of sworn it was Summertime. She follows him to a booth, sitting down by the window and rubbing her hands together, grateful for the warmth.

Dean’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “Well, how about you come sit with me and my brother, figure things out?” He offered. “We can get you something to eat, too.” He couldn’t figure out why he was so drawn to this lady, sat in front of him. “I’m Dean.”

Sam led her inside, blinking to her question as he watched her. "It's, uh, December," he told her gently as he watched her, moving to sit down by her, wanting to stay close in hopes of comforting her or easing her worries, even a little. "Why do you ask?" He took her in for a long moment, examining her, before he shifted in his seat to face her more. "Outside of your grandparents' yard, what's the last thing you remember, Noah?"

"Oh, um... That man, um..." Fallon furrowed her brows, trying to remember the name, having not paid much attention in her panic. "James...?" She pointed towards him. "He brought me here. He's getting me something to eat." She watched him, wanting to join him, feeling comforted in his presence, but she didn't want to be rude to James's efforts. "I'm Fallon."

"December?" Noah looked at Sam, looking for any signs of laughter, but swallowing hard, despite the discomfort it caused, when she saw he was serious. "A bright light." She ducked her head again, frowning. "I saw a bright light, and then I was there, with them." She frowned. "But... they've been gone for so long." She held her head in her hands, clearly struggling.

"Well Fallon, allow me to speak to James." He went over to the man, explaining that Fallon was an old family friend, and James nodded and handed Dean the coffee and sandwich he'd ordered for the woman. Dean accepted them and gave James $5, before making his way back over to Fallon. "You hungry?" He smiled, handing her the sandwich and sitting opposite her.

"A... Bright light?" Sam asked carefully, watching her, a small frown then forming on his features. Did that mean she had died? Or had something else, something more supernatural-related, happened to her? Shaking his head to rid the thoughts, he watched her for a moment, thinking. "When did you see the bright light, Noah?" he asked gently, taking her in, "What month did you see it?"

Fallon paused, staring at the food for a moment but quickly took it, pulling out the toothpick to start eating, unaware that she'd been so hungry. "Apparently," she told him around her food, taking a few bites and chewing and swallowing them before she spoke more clearly, "Thank you, but, um, why are you going through the trouble to do this?"

"May, I saw it in May," she sniffled, pushing her hair from her face. "The weather was warm, it was beautiful out." She wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her dress. "It happened so fast..." She blinked, trying to remember, tensing at a strange feeling in her abdomen, holding her stomach. "I just remember the bright light, and then I was with my Grandparents, and my baby brother, and our Labrador, Jessie, and then tonight happened and..." she shrugged, trying not to panic. "I'm sorry I'm not much help."

"You look a little frightened," Dean explained gently, watching her eat, ensuring she was okay. "I can't just let you sit there and suffer." He felt content as he watched her eat, and suddenly, he remembered Amara's words, and wondered if she had anything to do with this. "So, what's the matter?" He asked gently. "What are you so afraid about?" He made a mental note to remind Sam of Amara's words.

"No, no, that's actually a lot more helpful than you think," Sam assured her gently, reaching to give her hand a squeeze. "It's okay, we'll figure it out." It sounded like she really had died, but he wasn't sure how to tell her that. He didn't want to freak her out more or make things worse. "How about I go get us the food? What would you like to eat and drink?" Absent-mindedly, he ran his thumb over the back of her hand, trying to do whatever he could to comfort her, feeling the strongest need to just be there for her.

Fallon shifted slightly, pausing in eating as she stared down at her sandwich for a long moment, thinking over his questions. "I don't know," she said quietly, "Everything's so... Different. Just an hour ago, I was sitting with my parents and it was daytime and then, suddenly, it's dark and I'm walking through a graveyard, almost in the blink of an eye, even... And, I don't know how that's possible or what happened and I just..." Her fingers curled around the sandwich nervously as she felt a sense of dread filling her. "I don't understand any of it."

Noah blinked in surprise, not expecting Sam's kindness. "I could use a coffee," she admitted, squeezing his hand to comfort herself. "I'll just have what you're having," her cheeks reddened as she became aware of how close she and Sam were in that moment. "Thank you, Sam. For everything." She offered him a half smile, pulling her hand away from his as she toyed with her lower lip anxiously, not wanting to be separate from him for too long, feeling like he had a place with her and she couldn't let that feeling go.

"Okay, okay," Dean placed his hand on hers gently. "You see that girl over there?" He hinted to Noah. "She's with us. Why don't you go and sit with her while I go and talk to my brother, see if we can get you both somewhere to relax for tonight." He had no intention of letting Fallon go, not at all, but he had to tell Sam that the similarities in stories were just uncanny. Seeing Sam, Dean got up and approached him. "See that girl?" He murmured, hinting at Fallon. "Her story is nearly the same as Noah's. Do you remember what Amara told us?" He asked quietly, not wanting to worry Fallon.
