Thibault laughed a little, reluctantly letting go of her hand so that he could dig in to his meal. "How is your food? Is it good?" he asked after a few bites, wanting her to enjoy her time tonight, as he knew that she probably handnt been to the city very often or at all.

Rosemarie only blushed brighter at his comment, thanking him when he brought her the water. "Waffles sound good.." she murmured after taking a few sips of water, looking back at him after he came back from ordering their food. "What do we do today..? Is there anything I'm supposed to do for you?" She asked curiously, having about a thousand questions run through her head about the bond and her responsibilities.

Cassia nodded. "Yes it is very good. The cooks here are different from the cooks at home so the taste is different." she said and smiled. She wanted to explore more of what was out here. It was her first time in the city. She had seen pictures and when she was younger would ask about it but Madeline had never taken her out of the castle limits perhaps because she wanted to be sure she would be safe for Thibault.

Zane smiled and laid back into bed. "Nothing in particular. You're like my wife Rosemarie. I can't do things in the sunlight it could kill me so it is your job to make sure that doesn't happen, we usually are in bed by then but still. I think it is the most important. Then I will need to feed two to three times a month. Other than that we enjoy our lives together. I will need to go on business here soon but not today, we don't need to worry about that." he said and looked over at her seeing her mind turning. "What is on your mind? You look like you want to ask me all the things." he chuckled. "Ask away my love."

Thibault chuckled, nodding a little. "My sense of taste isn't as good as it used to be, but I'll take your word for it." He smiled. "What else are you excited about? I can tell you like it here."

Rosemarie snuggled close once he laid down, laying on her stomach next to him, watching him curiously from where her head rested on the pillow. "Oh.. That makes sense.." she murmured softly, thinking for a moment. "Gavin said something about a meeting, and whether or not you would take me with you... A-Are you leaving?" She asked with a small frown, looking up at him. "Oh.. A-And do I need to take birth control or anything? Now that we.. You know.." she blushed even brighter, burying her face in her pillow.

Cassia smiled. "It's new Thibault of course I like it. I have only ever been one place my entire life." she said and took his hand. "That's not bad but it makes other places so much more exciting." she explained and squeezed gently before looking around. "I like that there is a fireplace outside. I think we should do that, have a little sitting area with a porch and some night flowers or something." she grinned. "I like to hear people talking and looking at them. They have entire lives that are so different." Cassia blushed. "But most of all I love being here with you." she said.

Zane nodded. "Yes the vampire council is meeting to talk about the newborn problem. You see when someone is turned into a vampire they are starving and it leads to blood lust where the vampire might as well be a rabid wild animal with all the abilities to kill perfectly. There seems to be someone creating unsanctioned new vampires. The council monitors and even will deny making new vampires at times because the exposure is too great. Can you imagine if the world knew about us?" Zane shook his head. "So as a fairly new vampire I still have all the strengths of a new vampire but the blood lust is gone. It usually lasts for the first thousand years after that the powers change from physical to physic most the time those there are odd cases out there. Anyways it is my job to go out and get my kill orders and see if I can find who is creating the unsanctioned newborns." he said and sighed. "It is not the hunting I am worried about taking you to. There you would be safer than in a council meeting. The council if full of entitled vampires who see something they want and take it. They will not care you are my bond mate, if they want your body they could take it. Their only obligation is to make sure you stay alive and your blood is mine as my bond mate." he sat up running a hand through his hair looking angry as he thought about it. "It would be a calculated risk to take you at all. Nothing could happen or they could truly harm you." he said and shrugged. "But leaving you here could be just as dangerous because I do not know when I will return." He said and laid back taking her hand lacing his fingers with hers.

Thibault smiled a little as he listened to her enthusiasm, giving her hand a gentle squeeze, lifting her knuckles to his lips to kiss the back of her hand. "That all sounds wonderful, you should definitely talk to Madeline, and she'll make it happen." He smiled. "I want you to be happy."

Rosemarie frowned as she listened to him, snuggling close as she wrapped her arms around his torso, shaking her head a little. "I don't want you to leave... G-Gavin will come back, a-a-and he said that when he was done with me he'd turn me into a vampire and make you hunt me down.." She whimpered, burying her face in the crook of his neck, trembling a little in his arms.

Cassia smiled. "I am happy with you Thibault." she said softly and looked into his eyes wanting him to know she meant it. Cassia finished her meal and her drink sitting there watching everyone around them. It was so odd to see when a little girl with dark hair clung to the hand of a beautiful mother. Cassia watched them with fascination. She wondered what her mother had been like and if she was still alive. "Can I get pregnant?" she asked him randomly still watching the little girl.

Zane frowned and kissed her head. "I won't let that happen but yes I think you will need to come with me. But you are going to have to be brave Rosemarie. This will not be an easy trip. I will protect you with my life but you will see things you wished you never had to." he said and cupped her cheek. "Do you think you can handle that?" he asked her rubbing her back wishing he could take her fear away.

Thibault ate, finishing his meal before continuing to work on the bottle of wine, enjoying sitting under the stars with her. When she suddenly asked if she could get pregnant he was caught off guard, swallowing the bit of wine wrong, causing him to cough. Once he caught his breath he looked at her, following her eyes to the little girl before looking back at her. "I... I'm not sure.. I've heard of a few cases of it before, but it's very, very rare.. And if the mother is human, she almost always dies in childbirth.." He frowned.

Rosemarie clung to him, finding comfort in his arms as he held her close, slowly forgetting her worries as she focused on his fingers rubbing her back. "Yes... I-I can be brave.. I promise.." She whispered softly, resting her chin on his chest as she looked at him. "You didn't answer my other question.." She pointed out, frowning a little.

Cassia looked at him and frowned. "Are you okay?" she asked and then frowned as he told her about the odds. She sighed and nodded setting her drink down. "Hey we're going to be late to our movie, let's go." she said and smiled at him though her mind still seemed to be turning over what he had admitted. She had never really thought about having kids before but now that she in essence couldn't it made her kind of sad.

Zane frowned. "I'm sorry Rose but being bonded to me has very little upsides. It is very unlikely you would ever get pregnant and if you did it would be highly likely I would loose you." he said and cupped her cheek. "I wish I could give you more my love." he said. "There is still a lot we don't know about ourselves."

Thibault paid the bill, standing and offering his arm to her as they left the restaurant. They walked in silence for a few minutes before he spoke, frowning a little. "Cassia... I.. I'm sorry..." He murmured softly, giving her hand a little squeeze.

Rose frowned a little, shaking her head slightly. "No, no, it's fine.." She murmured, pulling back a little. "I shouldn't have asked, you've always given me so much, it's rude to expect more.." She murmured softly, moving to the edge of the bed as she sat up. "I should go shower and get dressed.. Do you know where my clothes are?"

Cassia frowned as Thibault apologized. "For what Thibault?" she asked him and looked up at him. It wasn't his fault she couldn't have kids. She was just to young she was sure on day she was going to be sad about it. "Thibault you know I don't need the world to be perfect." she said. "I'm happy with how things are with us."

Zane frowned. He didn't like how she pulled away from him so quickly. He nodded. "I will have your cloths brought in." he said and stood moving to her. He kissed her head and looked into her eyes. "I am sorry I can not give you children of your own but there are options if one day that becomes something important to you." he said smiled softly. "Okay?" he asked gently.

"But one day you might not be happy with the way things are.. You'll want more, and I wont be able to give it to you.." Thibault frowned, squeezing her hand tightly. His thoughts wandered to his wife and unborn child from all those years ago, frowning deeper as he shook his head a little. "All I've ever done is take from you.. From everyone. I'll never be able to give."

Rosemarie frowned as she looked up at him. "I.. I just have to accept that the life I thought I would have is gone.. that I'll never have the education or career or family I always dreamed of. Don't worry about me, Zane. I'll be fine." She murmured, standing and hurrying to the bathroom to shower.

Cassia frowned. "Thibault." she stopped and pulled him tot he side of the sidewalk. She reached up taking his face in her hands waiting until his eyes met hers. "I know this is hard for you but you have to stop living in the past. I can see it every time you think of her. You get this painful far away look. Stay here with me. Let me love you Thibault. Trust me that I will tell you what I need." she said and slipped a hand do the back of his neck pulling his forehead to hers. She pressed her head to his and closed her eyes. "I love you Thibault." she said for the first time. It was true. His pain hurt her and all she wanted to do was make it better. She hadn't realized it had happened so suddenly but here it was and she couldn't deny it.

Zane frowned and sat not he bed watching her go. He sighed. There was nothing she could do about all of that. It wasn't going to be the perfect life she had envisioned but it would be a good life if she wanted it to be. He ran a hand through his hair standing and having cloths brought to their room.

Thibault nodded a little as he leaned down, resting his forehead against hers as he closed his eyes, his arms wrapping around her waist gently. "I love you too, Cassia." He murmured softly, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "And you're right.. I'm sorry for stressing so much." He murmured, pulling back after a minute to smile at her. "Let's get going, we'll be late for the movie."

Rosemarie took a while to shower, wanting to clean up and take her time, finding the warm water soothing. Once she was finished she dried off before heading out of the bathroom to get dressed, pulling on a nightgown before crawling back into bed, curling up under the blankets to keep warm in the cold room.

Cassia smiled and nodded. She was glad that he was going to try and enjoy their night more. She smiled as she took his hand walking with him. They went into the theater and she smiled showing their tickets. Cassia lead Thibault into the theater and up towards the back near the exit sign in case they needed to get out fast. She smiled snuggling into the corner with him. Cassia smiled and kissed his cheek as the previews started showing and the lights went down. "You okay?" she whispered. She had placed herself between him and the other humans hoping it would help.

Zane came back having prepared for their trip. He knew he couldn't leave Rosemarie like this. She would have to come with him and face the council. He hoped she was strong enough. He came over to the bed and sighed. "I'm sorry Rosemarie." he said softly. "There is nothing I can do now to give you back the life you wanted and in time I hope you can forgive me." He said and hung his head in his hands.

Thibault sat down in his seat at the theater, holding onto Cassia's arm tightly, as if anchoring himself. He knew that without her he'd already probably have lost any control he had, but with her it was easier to focus on remaining calm. He nodded a little, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead as he focused his attention on the movie as it began.

Rosemarie frowned a little as she watched him come in, frowning even more as she listened to him speak. She shook her head a little, moving over to him to wrap her arms around him, tucking her face into the crook of his neck. "No.. No, no, this isn't your fault. You have nothing to apologize for... I'm just acting selfishly, and not thinking of everything you've done for me.. Please don't be upset."

Cassia smiled and patted his hand that was around her arm. "It will be okay." she whispered and laid her head on his shoulder. She smiled gently and watched the movie as it started. She was so glad that Thibault was trusting her and she really hoped this went well. It was a little while after the movie started she leaned into his side pulling his arm over her shoulder so she was snuggled into him.

Zane frowned. "You're allowed to grieve for the life you lost Rose. I just really want you t be happy with he life you have now. It might be dangerous and scary but it can also be exciting." he said and turned to her cupping her cheek. He kissed her head gently. "How do you feel today?" he asked loving that her skin was starting to return to normal. Here soon she would glow each time he fed from her.

Thibault wrapped his arm around her shoulder and drew her closer, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead, happy that she was enjoying their date and the movie. He wanted her to be happy with her life with him, more than anything, and he was willing to do pretty much anything to help her be happy with him.

Rosemarie nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck as she sat in his lap, keeping her arms around him securely. "I am happy, Zane. It's just been a crazy couple of days, and I think everything hit me at once." She reassured him, pressing a kiss to his nose. "Are you alright? Is there something I can do to make you feel better? Do you need to feed again?"

Cassia checked on Thibault a little over half way through leaning up to whisper in his ear her lips brushing over his skin as she spoke softly. "Are you doing okay?" She asked softly and kissed his jaw gently causing her belly to fly with flutters of desire. She ran her hand up his chest and up his neck tilting his lips towards her before she kissed him sweetly.

Zane smiled. "I know babe I know it has been." he said and stroked her hair. He smiled softly. "I'm okay. I don't need to feed right now either but thank you." he said and kissed her head. He cupped her cheek. He smiled sweetly. "We should try and get you up out of bed today though, because we have to leave for our trip tomorrow. I already have everything arranged." he soothed her hair and pressed his forehead to hers.

Thibault nodded a little when she asked if he was alright, pleasantly surprised when she began to kiss him. "We're in public, dear." He reminded her softly as he kissed her back, not wanting to make a scene or get kicked out. "But, I do know somewhere we could go to be.. Adventurous."

Rosemarie closed her eyes as he pressed his forehead to hers, smiling a little as she snuggled closer, shifting in his lap to straddle him, in doing so grinding her hips down against his accidentally, pressing small kisses to his lips. "I love you, Zane.." she pouted when he told her they should get out of bed, blushing faintly. "But what if I wanted to stay in bed with you?"

Cassia smiled. "Am I distracting you?" she whispered and blushed as he suggested being adventurous and she was considering it. "First you have to tell me you are doing okay." she said so only he could hear. She wanted him to be able to focus on them and not on his worry or anything else.

Zane groaned softly. He smiled against her lips and ran his hands up her back. "I think we might be able to spend a little bit longer if you feel so inclined." he said smirking as his hands trailed over her bare legs pushing her dress up slowly.
