Cassia frowned and bit her lip. She guessed if she was immortal she might not be afraid of anything either. She really wanted to ask about all his vampire stuff but she wasn't ready to talk about it. "Why do you live in a castle?" she asked curiously. She had always thought it was beautiful but so big and so much work to take care of. Cassia sipped her tea watching him looking him over until his eyes met hers and she blushed being caught staring.

Zane smiled softly. "How about dessert then?" he asked softly and stroked her hair. "Feeling like something sweet?" he asked softly not even worried about dinner. To him he was just as much to blame as her. This wasn't easy and he kept trying to make it seem easy. Zane looked down at the sweet sensitive girl in his arms. He had never known something so fragile and he was use to fragile things with his strength.

"I grew up here." Thibault smiled, looking around the room. "It's been my family's home for ages, but they've since died or gone to live in other places. It's just me left.." he sighed, sipping his tea. "I don't mind the quiet, though. And generally those who are still alive with write and occasionally visit, so it's not so bad."

Rosemarie nodded a little, wiping at her eyes as she snuggled further into his arms, finally calmed down and relaxed. Of course her makeup and hair had been ruined, but she honestly didn't need the makeup to be pretty, and probably looked better without it. "C-Can I change first..? I dont want to ruin the dress.."

Cassia nodded. "So you where like some kind of royal or something?" She asked leaning forward her chin resting on her hand. Cassia wasn't sure what Thibault wanted out of his existence. It seemed to her that he didn't know himself. It seemed he was so focused on surviving. Surviving what? Cassia sat back with her tea and bit her lip. "So what do you like to do. I saw you with a book the other day what where you reading?"

"Sure you can change." he said and frowned. "But I don't think you would ruin the dress Rosemarie." he said and chuckled. "It's just brownies and ice-cream." he said and smiled softly. "Afterwards though if you like we can take a walk or read a book together or something. I don't have a lot of things to really do with others but if you just wanted to hang out I am sure we could find something to do." he said and shrugged.

Thibault nodded a little. "My father was Matthieu Édouard Bassot, comte de Montrésor, but he died when I was twelve, leaving me the title." He explained, smiling a little at her questions. "I was reading a history book that Mistress Madeline went out and got me.. Catching up on what I've missed, I suppose." He laughed a little and finished his tea. "Are you hungry?"

Rosemarie nodded a little, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek as she stood. "It's beautiful, but I think it's too fancy for me.. It doesn't feel right." She offered him a nervous smile. "I'll be right back. Maybe we could eat the dessert while we go somewhere?" She promised before hurrying from his room back to hers, changing into a simple dress. she hurried back to his room once she had cleaned her face and brushed the tangles out of her hair, smiling sheepishly when she returned. "Do... Do you have a garden?"

"I'm sorry about your father." Cassia said but it all sounded so long ago she didn't know what else to say about it. Cassia chuckled at his answer about the book and made a face. "I always hated history... well unless it was really dramatic like egyptian history." she said and chuckled again. He asked if she was hungry and she thought about it. "Not particularly but something small might be nice." she said and tilted her head to the side. "Do you eat food to?" she asked wondering if he ate more than just blood. Cassia finished her tea setting it down and looking up at Thibault.

Zane chuckled and nodded watching her go. He had the table cleared and removed his chairs out on the patio returned and closed the doors. When she returned he smiled. She looked much more herself. He stood grinning as she asked if he had a garden. "Yes a rooftop garden. Although the grounds are all perfectly manicured." he said. He stood and offered his arm to Rosemarie. He lead her towards the roof entrance. Once they exited the night garden was in full bloom the moon out to great them. Zane flicked a button that lite the little fairy lights across the walkway. Zane took her to the seating and someone brought out the dessert before leaving. All around them night flowers bloomed and Zane smiled. "Well? What do you think?" he asked and poured her a glass of milk.

Thibault chuckled. "It was a long time ago, during the crusades. I've had time to get over it." he smiled, standing to go to the door, asking that they be brought something to eat. "I can eat some things, and it helps to hold off my hunger, but about once a week I need to feed... Usually I try to drink animal blood when I can, but it makes me sick after a while, and I'm forced to drink from humans." He explained as he sat back down.

Rosemarie smiled as he led her up to the garden, gasping softly at the sight, blown away by its beauty. "It's beautiful.." she murmured softly, the fairy lights twinkling in her eyes as she looked around the garden at the flowers and up at the stars overhead. She thanked him for the dessert before digging in, not wanting to waste it.

Cassia blushed then nodded. She was starting to understand. That meant he wanted her to feed off of wasn't it? She didn't know why he wanted her when he could have anyone. And how was he forced to feed? Was it not enjoyable for him like a good meal for her? Yeah it was weird but other than being a little tired and the marks on the neck was it really that bad for the human? There was so much running through her mind but so much she wasn't ready to ask aloud. "So you where reading more to study but you didn't tell me what you like to do." she said grinning now letting her mind move on for now. She would revisit it later.

Zane smiled. "See I only come out here at night so they made it so I could enjoy the flowers at night and not just a bunch of closed buds." he said and chuckled. Zane was glad to see her eating. He had been starting to get worried about her tonight. Zane sat back eating his own then setting it down unfinished. He really wasn't into sweets like this. There was a way to do things but he didn't want to make it obvious around Rosemarie just yet. Right now he was just strange not a monster. He wanted to keep it that way just a little longer.

Thibault could tell she had things she wasn't asking, but didn't want to push her, knowing it would be hard for her. "Well, I enjoy reading.. I used to enjoy horseback riding in my youth, but once I became a vampire, it was a bit difficult to ride, as the trails aren't lit and it's important time doesn't get away from you." He explained, humming a little in thought as he tried to think of what else he liked. A servant soon brought in a tray of a variety of appetizers for them to snack on, setting the tray down on the table between them before exiting.

Rosemarie finished her brownie and drank all of her milk, leaving a little bit caught on the corner of her lips. "Why do you only come outside at night? I bet it's beautiful during the day, with the sun shining on all of the flowers." She smiled a little as she studied him, wondering what he was hiding from her.

Cassia grinned as he hummed. “Do all lights hurt or just sunlight?” She went quiet as the servant entered and she blushed looking down. Once they exited she bit her lip watching the door. She wasn’t use to being served it kind of bothered her in a way. Cassia looked at the food though and couldn’t resist the Mozzarella sticks . She dipped it in the warm tomato sauce and hummed as she took a bite giggling as the cheese kept stretching until snapping and running down her chin. Cassia blushed and slurped it in. Someone in the kitchen knew her to well. “You have been watching me a lot until now? What do you know about me?” She asked curiously because he wasn’t asking a ton of questions like she was.

“I am sure it is but the sun and I don’t agree anymore.” He said with a chuckle and removed some of the chocolate on the corner of her mouth sucking it off his thumb. “I miss the sun sometimes though.” He said and chuckled. “You will have to tell me what it is like in the sun.” He said and then leaned slowly in. Zane took her chin between her fingers gently before kissing the corner of her mouth getting the chocolate from her lips. “Hmmm wouldn’t want that pretty white dress getting stained.” He chuckled the let her go sitting back in his chair. “How are you now my little one?” He asked hoping she was feeling better.

"Just the sun, although bright lights indoors can hurt my eyes, which is why most of the castle is poorly lit." He explained, helping himself to some bruschetta, happy to have something fresh to eat. He chuckled softly as he watched her eat, shaking his head a little. "I've had Mistress Madeline keep me up to date with your studies and what you've been doing here... She hasn't told me much, claims she'd rather not gossip."

Rosemarie frowned a little, wondering why he couldn't go out in the sun. She was about to ask when he kissed her, her face flushing red in embarrassment. She quickly grabbed a napkin to wipe her mouth, not to wipe away the kiss, that had been wonderful, but to make sure there wasn't any food left on her mouth. "I'm better.. Thank you for dinner."

Cassia chuckled. Yes that did sound like Mistress Madeline. "So you don't know that much about me either." she said and and wondered then why he had proposed. Cassia realized it meant something different to him, after all he was immortal but still it didn't have no meaning. She tilted her head to the side. "Are you going to ask or just try and figure it out yourself?" she asked him and took another bite of her food. Cassia had worked hard on her studies which had been basic but very thorough. If she had been allowed to she would be able to apply and be accepted to a college right now. Cassia had full access to the library and any information she wanted all she had to do was ask Mistress Madeline to get for her. She was sure if she wanted to continue to learn that Mistress Madeline would help her the best she could.

Zane chuckled watching her. "Well of course but next time let's try for finishing our food." he said and chuckled. "Are you full?" he asked and tucked her hair back behind her ear. Zane wanted to take her back to his room for a different kind of dessert but she wasn't ready for that yet. He was hoping to hold onto his patience and his hunger a little longer to give her innocence the respect and the time it deserved.

Thibault chuckled, shrugging a little bit. "I'm not sure. I havent thought of any good questions to ask, so I suppose I'll just figure it out." He grinned a little, eating another bite of food as he watched her. Sometimes he felt guilty for keeping her locked up all these years, but knew that her life here was better than the life she would have lived out in the world.

Rosemarie nodded, blushing a little as she leaned her head into his hand, closing her eyes contently. "Yes, I'm alright.." she murmured, trying to hide a yawn. She didn't want to be tired, but couldn't help it, having not caught up on her sleep yet.

Cassia smiled softly and shook her head. She nibbled on a little more food before pushing it away. Cassia yawned and rubbed her eyes. "I am sure you will come up with something." she said and smiled slowly standing and touching his shoulder sweetly. "I'm going to go to bed now." she said. "Thank you for tonight. I hope we can do it again tomorrow." she said and truly hoping that they did have another date tomorrow. Cassia slipped out of his room and to her own room slipping into bed and closing her eyes.

Zane chuckled. "Come on sleepy head I will tuck you in and stay till you fall asleep." he said and effortlessly pulled her to her feet so she feel into his chest. He held onto a moment and kissed her head before make sure she was stable enough to walk. He took her hand and lead her back inside. Zane took her to her room and looked around. This was a room he had not been in for a long time. He looked around and then back at her. "Get comfortable I'll wait for you." he said.

Thibault smiled kindly, nodding a little as he took her hand before she could leave, pressing a gentle kiss to the back of her hand. "Good night, Cassia. Until tomorrow." He wished her goodnight as she left, standing himself to head to bed, feeling ill despite how happy he was.

Rosemarie blushed brightly as he pulled her up and into his arms, following him back to her room. Once there she looked over at him shyly, grabbing her nightgown from the night before before moving behind a screen to change, coming out a few minutes later to brush her hair before taking a seat at the edge of the bed as she looked at him. "You wont leave?"

Cassia smiled as she lay in bed and thought of Thibault and how he kissed her hand before she had left. It was so nice to spend time with him with no pressure. Cassia knew there was more that she didn't know yet and that he needed her answer but just getting to know him was nice. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad being married to him. She had always thought she wouldn't meet anyone and if she did it would be love she would marry for but maybe it wouldn't be so bad to spend her life with someone who could care for her and she could have fun with.

Zane smiled and turned to look around the room away from her tempting body that the screen hid from him. Once she came out and sat on the bed he grinned and nodded. "I will stay as long as you want me to or until you fall asleep." Zane said and smiled softly. He pulled the covers back for her and watched as she slipped in tucking her in. He sat at the head of the bed and stroked her hair softly. "Are you comfortable?" he asked liking that he could be with her like this. He liked that she was feeling comfortable with him.

Thibault prepared himself for bed, allowing his mind to wander to Cassia, hoping that she'd accept his offer. He slept soundly through the day and well into the night, feeling the impact of not feeding for a while, and figured it might be best not to call on Cassia today, worried he would hurt her. He called for Mistress Madeline instead, hoping she'd relay the news to Cassia.

Rosemarie laid down under the blankets with a soft sigh, making room for him next to her. She closed her eyes softly as be stroked her hair, nodding slightly. "Yes, I'm comfortable..." she murmured softly before yawning, stretching a little as she shifted to get more comfortable.

Madeline walked into Thibault's room. "Master?" she asked softly approaching him. Cassia had been asking about him earlier. She had slept most the day to try and give herself more time with him at night. Madeline had let her hoping that they could work on their bond. She knew if she because his bond mate she would struggle between day and night. There where benefits to being bonded to a vampire. She would be his day time guardian and his night time lover. It was something she hoped for Cassia to accept and to eventually come to adore him as well.

Zane grinned and chuckled gently as she snuggled in. She was adorable and he hoped eventually she would look at him fondly but he knew he had to give her time. Zane was new to his condition but he had been told the things he needed to know. He knew it was about time, he could feel it he needed Rosemarie in a way he had never had one before her.

Thibault was still in bed, looking rather miserable. His skin was paler than normal, and he had dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep. He looked over at Madeline when she came in, forcing himself to sit up and lean back against the headboard. "Thanks for coming to see me, Madeline.." He spoke softly, voice rather horse. "I was hoping that you'd tell Cassia that I'm unable to see her today, as I'm under the weather, as you can see." He gestured to himself, smiling weakly as he looked at her. "I've let myself get to quite a bad place, haven't I, Madeline?" He murmured jokingly, hoping she'd have some advice for him.

Rosemarie sighed contently as she snuggled close, head resting against his chest comfortably as she began to drift off to sleep, relaxing as he stroked her hair. She was happy to be getting along with him, feeling safe when she was with him. Plus he was rather handsome, and she couldn't help but feel a little giddy whenever she was around him.

Madeline smiled softly. "I know you where hoping to feed from Cassia next sir but I think it might be time to feed. I think another two weeks and she might be ready for you to explain everything. She already cares for you Sir. She was very worried asking about you this evening. I know it will do little for you but you need to feed master." Madeline said and bit her lip worried for him. He was looking bad and she wished there was something she could do but there wasn't it was truly Cassia he needed but they could not rush her or risk her rejecting him completely.

Zane watched as she shifted so she was leaned against him. He smiled softly and let her sent surround him. Zane closed his eyes as he listened to her heart beat and her breath move through her. Zane hummed softly an old lullaby. He might be a new vampire but he still was much older than Rosemarie. Zane tried to stay up today on all the new trends, still it wasn't really his scene.

"I'm afraid that feeding off someone other than her will only buy me another day or two at most..." Thibault sighed, running shaky fingers through his hair. "I don't wish to rush her, but I'm afraid I don't have much longer..." He sat himself further up with a groan, grabbing a robe to tie around him to keep himself warm as he moved through the room. "Send me someone to feed from, and then I want you to explain everything to Cassia, and if she wants she can come see me once I've fed... I'm afraid I'm running out of time." He murmured sadly, grabbing a glass of water and drinking it quickly, as if that would help him.

Rosemarie smiled a little as he hummed, opening her eyes slightly to look up at him. "That's pretty... What is it?" She asked softly, breath warm against his skin as she gazed up at him sleepily. She really was quite pretty, although it wasn't very obvious unless you really studied her face, not like a lot of other women who were called beautiful.
