Cassia blushed as he kissed her lips. She sat back and sighed. "You're terrible at having a conversation." she laughed. "And you are even worse about talking about yourself." she said and then stood. "I'm going to wash off the salt." she said and smiled softly before heading into the bathroom. She cleaned up and dressed again before coming back out to him. "Do you have any family alive?" she asked him wondering if she could pull him into a conversation with he right question.

Zane walked with her out to the gardens where there was rows and rows of roses and other flowers all curled up against the moon. It always made him sad he would never see them but it couldn't be helped. "Well Shelters aren't normally open when I can be awake but if you really wanted to maybe I can have Lynore and Phillip my driver go with you." he said wishing he could go with her.

Thibault chuckled. "Sorry, I haven't really had a real conversation with someone in years.." He sighed, settling into his chair while she showered. When she came back he held his arms out for her, wanting her to sit with him. "I have a younger sister, but she lives very far away, and doesn't visit often."

Rosemarie frowned a little when she realized he couldn't go with her, shaking her head a little. "No, it's alright... I wouldn't want to get something that you wouldn't like.." She sighed, smiling a little as she looked at all of the flowers.

Cassia smiled softly and moved over to him and took his hand letting him pull her into him. She sat down on his lap curling up. "Well you're gonna have to get use to do things and talking to people again." she said and chuckled snuggling into him. "What is your sister like? Why don't you see each other often?" she asked him. Cassia looked up at him laying her legs overs lap and the side of the chair as she snuggled into him.

Zane smiled gently. "Okay well let me call around see what I can do." he said and kissed her hand. "So I had my team call your college and arrange for your classes to be online... If you like you can finish your degree." he said and turned walking backwards looking at her. He hoped this was good news to her.

"She and I got into a fight a few hundred years ago, over some boy she wanted to marry. It was all rather silly, now that I think about it, but she still won't speak to me." Thibault sighed, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "I've tried to reach out, but she wants nothing to do with me.."

Rosemarie blinked a little in surprise, eyes widening a bit. "..R-Really?" She asked, frowning faintly. As much as she wanted to finish her degree, what good would it do her if she could never use it? He would never let her leave the mansion, at least not without supervision, someone to hold her hand and make sure she didn't run away, so getting a job would be out of the question. "I-I mean, thank you, Zane.. But I don't think I want to finish my degree."

Cassia nodded. "Maybe you should send her a card about your own bonding. Maybe that bond will give her some reason to believe your sincerity. If that fails maybe I could reach out to her for you." she said softly and smiled at him gently. "What is your favorite thing to do... like when you go out to do things?" she asked.

Zane frowned. "Oh... well I thought that you would like to at least finish it. You never know what might happen in the future. I just want you to be able to do what every you love. I know it's all kind of weird right now but things could change." he said and ran a hand through his hair. "So what do you do with a history degree anyways?" he asked curiously. Zane tried to easily change the subject not really sure how to.

Thibault hummed a little in through, giving a little nod after a moment. "Yes.. That might be a good idea, thank you, Cassia.." He smiled, pressing a kiss to her forehead as his fingers played with a strand of her hair. "My favorite thing to do? I believe I've told you this already, but I used to love going horseback riding.. But it's dangerous to ride at night, and I haven't gone in years... Other than that I enjoy reading, and walking through the gardens, although I'm sure they're much more beautiful in the day time.. Maybe you should visit them in the morning and tell me what it's like."

Rosemarie frowned a little as she listened to him, shrugging slightly when he asked what she would do with a history degree. "I'm not sure.. Probably would have gone to graduate school.. But it doesn't matter now. I'll be happy here." She smiled faintly, turning away from him to look at some of the flowers in the garden, hoping that he'd drop the topic.

Cassia nodded and smiled as he liked her idea. She chuckled. "That was what you like to do this is your favorite but okay." she said and bit her lip. "I can see why it could be dangerous but you think there would be a way to do it." she said and played with his shirt button. She grinned as he asked her to see the gardens for him in the day. She nodded getting an idea she would have to ask Madeline's help with. "Okay." she said softly. She smiled thinking of another idea as well that would be a bit of a larger project but it would be so worth it. A night garden would give Thibault back some of that joy. She really wanted to make his life better and hoped that she could in many ways for all the years they where together. Cassia blushed and bit her lip. "How did you loose your virginity?" she asked him. They both knew how she lost hers but she was curious what it was like for him.

Zane frowned and nodded. He knew she was lying, or at least not admitting the whole truth to either just him or to herself as well. Maybe one day they could talk about it but it was to fresh now. "Well you have options Rosemarie." He said to close the subject. They walked down the path they had started yesterday and finally came up to the place he had told her about. "There is something about botany that has always interested me. I think because I was still so young when I was changed and I never was able to explore that because of sunlight." he said and shrugged. There where little fairy lights weaved through the branches and lanterns on either end of the tunnel. "Do you like to swim?" he asked her.

Thibault blushed brightly when she asked how he had lost his virginity, looking at her in surprise. "That's quite the interesting question.. But if you really want to know, I suppose I'll tell you." He smiled a little, playing with some strand of her her hair. "I was 16, still a human, and there was this farm girl who lived near here, and when I would go out riding I would stop at their home so my horse could rest and get some water... We planned to elope, ran away to a nearby village, slept together, and that was that.. After four or five years of being on the run, she was finally pregnant, but my father who had been turned into a vampire shortly before I had run off, found us and turned me, and in my bloodlust after first turning I killed her..." He frowned a little at the memory, feeling awful. "I should never have run away with her, I should have known better.."

Rosemarie nodded a little as he spoke, glad that they weren't talking about her education anymore. When he asked if she liked to swim she shook her head a bit, blushing. "I never learned how.. I suppose it's kind of silly, not knowing how to swim, but my parents never bothered to teach me."

Cassia smiled as she listened to him but then slowly began to frown. She knew his turning story must have been tragic but she had no idea until now. "Thibault." she cupped his cheek pressing her forehead to his not liking where his mind was going. She cuddled into him more. "Hey came back to me it's all over now. I'm so sorry." she whispered to him and kissed his lips so softly her thumb rubbing his skin gently. Cassia wished she had something good to say, something to sooth him or even to help him but all she had was the fact that it was over and he had her now. It might not make up for it all but she hoped that it gave him some comfort. "I am here." she said and bit her bottom lip. She wanted to ask more about the girl but it was obviously to painful right now. Cassia wanted to distract him from that. "I'm sorry Thibault... tell me how we met again." she pleaded feeling bad still she had caused him so much pain.

Zane's eyes light up. "Really now?" he said and turned towards her again. "Well do you want to learn?" he asked thinking it would be fun to teach her and to swim with her. Zane wanted to do something with Rosemarie to get their minds off of what they where thinking and onto something they could do. He grinned looking her over.

Thibault frowned deeply, holding her tight against his chest, head tucked into her shoulder. He hadn't thought about his turning in such a long time, and had done his best to forget, but he felt that she ought to know about it. "I miss them..." He murmured softly, closing his eyes tightly for a few moments before he sat up a little to look at her. "Sorry for being a downer.." He murmured softly, stroking her hair gently, trying to distract himself.

Rosemarie blushed, shrugging slightly as she looked over at him. "Maybe... I'm not sure.. Would it be safe?" She asked hesitantly, not worried about him trying to do something to her, but she wasn't sure she wanted to learn to swim in the dark, afraid something would go wrong.

Cassia hugged him as he pulled her to him. She nodded and ran her hand over his hair. “I’m sorry.” She whispered again. Cassia wished she hadn’t caused him so much pain. For him to have to think back to that time, she knew she couldn’t understand that loss. A wife and an unborn child. That was torcher and she wondered what he had done to his father for that. Somewhere inside she hope his revenge was sweet yet another part of her hoped that he didn’t have to take that revenge. When Thibault apologized she shook her head. “No hey it’s okay. Thank you for sharing.” She said and pressed her forehead to his.

Zane laughed. “I wouldn’t put you in danger. Yes you old be safe. We would start in the pool room so you could touch the floor if you needed to. He said and smiled. What else have you never learned to do?” He asked curiously. Zane knew that he would always take care of Rosemarie no matter what, she just had to believe it too.

Thibault smiled weakly as she rested her forehead against his, glad for her kindness. His wife had been the same, always kind, always reassuring, and part of him felt like he'd found her again when he had found Cassia. "Thank you, Cassia.. For being so kind.." he murmured, pressing tender kisses to her forehead, keeping her close.

Rosemarie blushed a little in thought, shaking her head. "I dont know... It's hard to think of things you dont know how to do.. What about you? Is there something you dont know about?" She asked, taking his arm again as they walked, shivering a little in the cold.

Cassia smiled gently and nodded. “It’s who I am.” Cassia said and grinned. “So now I am curious how we met. I re,ember the beach and being young but that was it. So you have to tell me.” She said hoping this would give him some kind of hope after all that sadness.

Zane frowned feeling her shiver and started them back towards the house in the big round about passing the lake at the clearing in the trees. “Hmm your right that is hard... hmm okay. I never played truth or dare. I watched a movie a while ago that had it in it and I was kind of lost.” He laughed and shrugged.

Thibault smiled at the memory, leaning back in his chair as he looked at her. "I dont know... It was a cloudy day, so I had gone down to the beach, and I remember being angry and upset, but then the next thing I knew you were there next to me.. I think you must have wandered away from your family, and I thought about bringing you back, but I just... couldn't. So I brought you back here, to Mistress Madeline." He explained, playing with her hair.

"Truth or dare is easy, how did you get confused?" She laughed, leaning into his side. "I can play with you, if you want." She offered, glad once they finally made it back to the house.

Cassia leaned her head into his hand. She was curious about her family but them she doubted that she had been that important to them if they had never really looked for her. Cassia smiled softly and played with Thibault's shirt. "I can just imagine me so small in your arms." she said and blushed. "You watched me grow up? What do you remember?" she asked him curious what he had seen. she had been a good girl during the day but at night she had been curious then playful.

"Well I didn't understand why they started to do some of the things they where doing." he blushed and shrugged. "I don't know." he said and smiled. "You would play with me?" he chuckled and let her inside. "Would it be fun?" he asked her.

Thibault smiled, pulling her closer. "Hm.. I remember once, when you were about ten, you wandered in here sometime during the day while I was asleep.. I remember waking up and having to bring you back to your room and Mistress Madeline." He murmured, playing with a strand of her hair. "I suppose you had a mostly normal childhood..."

Rosemarie laughed, continuing to hold onto his arm even after they'd gone inside. "I don't know if it will be fun, it depends on the questions and dares.." She smiled, giggling a little when she saw him blush. "What were they doing in the movie?"

Cassia smiled and chuckled. "Yeah I had school and chores and got into trouble." she chuckled and leaned her head on his shoulder. She didn't remember him taking her back to her bed. She remembered waking up in her own bed but hadn't thought much of it. She had always been falling asleep in weird places. Cassia looked up at him and sighed. "So what is it like living in a world with the supernatural?" she asked. "Are there werewolves?"

Zane chuckled and was about to answer her when a tall man in black stepped in front of them. Zane tensed and pulled Rosemarie behind him. The tall man laughed. "Zane!" he said and stepped forward grasping the other man in a hug. Zane stepped back after a moment shielding Rosemarie from him. "Gavin." Zane said his voice weary. Gavin laughed. "Please please I come with news of the council meeting." he said though looking over a the tasty morsel hiding behind Zane. He vanished then appeared behind Rosemarie spinning her and pressing a kiss to her hand. "Please excuse my rude cousin. I am Gavin. It is a pleasure to meet such a beautiful woman such as yourself." he said and smiled at her flashing his fangs. Zane growled low in his throat. "Gavin... a word." he gestured towards his office. Gavin pouted and smiled at Rosemarie. "Until next time my petal." he winked and walked back towards Zane and down the hall. Zane looked back at Rosemarie. "I will explain later." he said stepping towards her and touching her arm softly. "Please go to your room and lock the door. I will be there as soon as I can." he said and kissed her temple before walking off in a range towards where Gavin had went.

Thibault chuckled a little, giving a little shrug. "I've never met a werewolf, but I suppose they could exist.. There are a few books in the library that talk about the supernatural world, written by a witch a few hundred years ago. You should try reading them, I could never get through the first few chapters." He smiled, leaning down to trail a few gentle kisses down her neck.

Rosemarie frowned as Zane stepped in front of her and the strange man appeared, nervously peering at him over Zane's shoulder. She gasped in surprise when he was suddenly behind her and turned around, tensing as he took her hand and kissed it, blushing brightly. She glanced at Zane nervously, frowning as he told her to go back to her room and lock the door, holding onto his hand tightly for a moment, not wanting to leave him. She reluctantly let go of him and hurried off to her room, doing as he instructed and locking the door behind her. She sat nervously by the fire while she waited, hoping he would come to her soon and explain what was happening, not liking Gavin one bit.

Cassia smiled and chuckled. "Have you met a witch before?" she asked. Cassia loved to listen to him talk. It was so nice just to sit here in his lap and talk with him. She didn't think she would get use to this. He placed kissed onto her neck making her eyes close. She tilted her head to the side and smiled lazily. "Thibault..." she bit her lip. "Why did you keep yourself hidden from me all this time?" she asked him. Things would have been a lot easier if she had known him before all this.

Zane was gone for the better part of an hour. When he returned he looked tired as he knocked on Rosemarie's door. Not that a locked door could really stop a vampire. When Rosemarie let him in he closed and locked the door behind him. He went over to a chair and sank into it. It was getting late and he would need to retire soon. Zane held a hand out for Rosemarie to take. "I apologize about my cousin. He doesn't have the same views as I do." Zane sighed and pulled her into him just holding her needing just to hold her to assure himself she was okay. "My cousin Gavin is a vampire as well, as you saw. He came to give me some information about a mandatory vampire meeting, you could say. He didn't know you where here and he is not accustomed to being reserved around humans. He doesn't think of them as equals. I want you to stay away from him. He will try to seek you out and play with you." Zane growled the words. "I will do my best to ward him off but he will be staying for a little while in the mansion." Zane said and looked at her worried. He wished there was more he could do to warn her of his danger and yet make her feel safe still.

"My aunt was a witch." Thibault grinned against her skin, peppering kisses down her neck and along her collarbone as he pulled her closer. He hummed a little when she asked why he had never interacted with her before now, frowning a little. "I don't know.. Madeline suggested it, and I suppose I didn't want you to agree to be mine because of some childish infatuation or crush, I wanted it to be real.." He murmured, tucking his face into the crook of her neck.

Rosemarie hurried to the door when she heard Zane knock, having changed into her nightgown and put her hair down, the brown locks hanging around her shoulders. She frowned as he came in, taking his hand worriedly, worried he was hurt or something was wrong, gladly curling up in his lap once he sat down. She tucked her head against his shoulder, fingers gently stroking his cheek and hair, trying to soothe him. She frowned as he talked about Gavin, gripping his shirt tightly with one of her hands. "I don't like him... Why does he have to stay here? Can't he stay somewhere else?" She asked with a frown, hiding her face in the crook of his neck as her arms wrapped around his neck. "Can I stay with you? I don't want to be alone.."
