Gracie stood in front of her locker at the end of the school day, resting her hand on the lock while her mind got lost deep in her thoughts. She had been talking with an older man on a dating app on her phone, and it was finally time for them to actually meet up. He was supposed to pick her up from school today. The thought of it made the hair stand up on the back of her neck and she could feel her stomach twisting up into knots. She knew it wasn't a good idea.
Pulling open her locker, she slid her whole bag inside, not needing to take anything home for the weekend. After her bag was hanging on the hook inside the locker, she pulled her phone from the side pocket and closed the door. Looking down, she unlocked her phone to look down at the last message he had sent her.
'I'll be there at 3 then. :)
Three was when she had told him she would be out of her last class for the day, but it was currently 3:08 and she knew she was just standing around to waste time because of her nerves. She slid her phone back in her pocket and started heading towards the front of the school. Gracie couldn't just bail on him and besides, she had told her best friend where she was going, so if she did go missing, it wouldn't be like no one would know where she had went.
Pulling her hoodie over her head, Gracie pulled the hood up and headed outside to the parking lot. She looked for the car he had said he'd be in, a black 2017 ford mustang. It wasn't hard to find at all, being one of the nicer cars among the rest in the lot. It also seemed to stand out, then again, Gracie had seen all the other cars in the parking a lot one thousand times, at least, in her four years of attending this school. She walked closer to the car, seeing Matt looking down, presumably at his phone. She wondered what he was thinking about, perhaps he was afraid she was ditching him? She was probably close to fifteen minutes late now.
He looked a little scruffy, just like in his pictures. His hair was growing down past his ears and it was sticking out from underneath a ball cap, and his beard was growing wildly. Gracie was a little relieved that he hadn't lied about his pictures, but it wasn't stopping her heart from racing faster the closer she got this car.
"H-"Hey." She spoke up, once she was right outside the driver's side. "Sorry, I'm late. Class stayed over a little."
'Are you out yet? Zacky texted Anissa, once he had stepped out of his shower. Immediately once he had stepped out of the shower, he hadn't even dried his hands off yet. He sat his phone back down on the side of the sink before he grabbed a towel that was hanging off the back of the door. Zacky couldn't stop his hands from shaking- he knew what was he was doing was wrong. He knew he was still talking to a girl that in was in high school, even if she was almost eighteen, that didn't help the nauseous feeling that was welling up in his stomach. The only reason he was able to keep going through with it, was because the adrenaline it also gave him, was enough to keep him distracted.
He was a little afraid of her not showing up to where they were supposed to meet. He had offered to pick her up from school, but she had said no, that she had a few other things she had to do after class before she could meet him. He dried his hair and face off before he dropped the towel to the hamper by his feet. He patted his cheeks in the mirror, before letting his fingers run down through the soft hair of his beard. He grabbed some beard oil from behind the mirror and swept through him his beard, before running some pomade through the top of his hair, so it wouldn't dry wildly.
Zacky was supposed to take her to see a movie, and they were supposed to go a little earlier in the day, before the majority of others her age would be there. He couldn't blame her for wanting to be cautious, the thought of being 'caught' made him nervous too, even though they hadn't even done anything yet.
Walking back into his bedroom with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist, he opened his closet and pulled out a pair of black jeans and a gray long sleeved shirt that a few buttons at the top of the chest. He pulled those on before sliding on his black slip on vans and heading into the living room to sit down on his couch.
Now all he had to do was wait.
