Bright grey eyes peered out of the blinds, a slender finger pulling them apart to gaze outwards. It was sunset, and the street was seemingly silent to human ears - but to Ellen, she could hear every scurry and every creak of the floor boards from across the road. Being a Königschlange, her ears and sense of smell are always on high alert, especially due to recent events.

She's the first female Königschlange to be recorded in wesen history; as they're predominately male figures. Furthermore, her eyes are permanently bright grey, like in her true wesen form - a rare genetic mutation in her genes. They've got a reputation for being cold, merciless, and ruthless - but Ellen describes herself as a more... Retired wesen, she barely fights or kills unless her life or Thea's is on the line.

In her eyes, even though Thea can tend for herself - being a Mauvais Dentes and all - Ellen often steps in when troubles around. She'd happily take a bullet for Thea, as she sees the younger wesen as a younger sister. Their bond is strong, and they've been on the run for years together.

Closing the blinds, Ellen turned around and walked towards the fridge. "Thea? We got any cheese left? Craving a grilled cheese sandwich if ya' want one."
Nick paced across Monroe's living room, deep in thought. The Blutbad called him with a serious case of unease - and while Nick doesn't normally go to Monroe's unless it's a dire situation, what the other said intrigued him. Monroe sensed two very strong forces nearby, opposite the road in fact.

"Do you have any idea what they are? Or how powerful?"

While he couldn't really report this back to the Portland Police Department, Nick needed to know about these other new wesen just so if any new cases came up with the normal bloody murder scene he could point a general finger in that direction.

New wesen normally meant bad news, so Nick instantly ran to Monroe's to get more detail from his friend and wesen crime-solving partner.

A small feminine hand reached out for the door knob of the back door, giving the cold metal handle a light jiggle, before moving on from the door once Thea knew for certain that the back door had remained locked. It wasn’t necessarily a habit that Thea had picked up, no, checking to make sure her surroundings were secure was a part of life for her now. Constantly knowing that Ellen was going to be safe, made Thea feel more in control of her life, as life could easily unravel while being on the run.

Having the familiar voice hit her ears, caused her green eyes to cast over to the one person who Thea trusted the most. Being a Mauvais Dentes, a nearly extinct wesen, caused her to often be on guard with people she didn’t consider family. And Ellen was that, in Thea’s eyes, Ellen was her family and she would do whatever she had to in order to keep Ellen safe and alive. Not that Ellen needed her protection, Ellen could handle any situation that she finds herself in and Thea knew that. Not that it stopped her from making sure her friend was taken care of.

“Cheese is in the fridge, but I did buy some vegetables as well.” Thea walked towards the kitchen, her eyes catching a flash of long raven hair as her friend moved around the kitchen of the new house. “But, yes. I’ll take a grilled cheese sandwich too,” She smiled as melted cheese sounded delicious. It was common for her kind to eat human flesh, there had been a time in Thea’s life when she had been younger where she had indulged in that practice, but not anymore. In fact, she didn’t even get into fights these days. Only when someone was threating her or Ellen, which seemed to be growing in occurrence.

Leaning against a counter, she glanced over to the front window. “Do you think he’ll come over?” She asked turning her attention back onto Ellen, she had smelt the Blutbad that lived across the road from them. She understood most other wesen were afraid of them, more so of Ellen, a Königschlange wasn’t exactly a wesen that anyone wanted to be around, or get on the bad side of one as that wouldn’t end well.
Monroe was sitting on the edge of his couch, his thumb and index finger were pinching the bridge of his nose. He never thought this day would come, where his home could be threatened by two powerful wesen that set thread coursing through his veins. Yet, here he was. His dark eyes settled on his friend as he paced around the living room, “Only one. I saw her yesterday and panicked,” He explained as he remembered when he had been checking his mail box yesterday, when he had seen the blonde across the road, he darted back into his house.

“A Mauvais Dentes,” He let out a deep breath, he didn’t have a good feeling about his new neighbours. Although, he normally wouldn’t have gone to greet any new human neighbours, he definitely wouldn’t be going across the road now. “I haven’t seen the other one, but I can sense that she’s even stronger.” He only knew his neighbours were both females, because he had seen one and he hadn’t smelt any masculine scent on the blonde yesterday.

“I guess, they could simply want to live here. But we haven’t ever been that lucky,” Monroe was desperately trying to stay positive about this situation, just because his neighbours were powerful and deadly wesen, didn’t mean they would cause any trouble for them. Did they even know about Nick? Did they know a Grimm lived there in the same city they had moved to? Part of Monroe didn’t want to find that out, though he knew they would find out before long.

Ellen cast her gaze over her shoulder to Thea, and simply shrugged as she pressed down on the grilled sandwich with the spatula. "When has a Blutbad ever wanted to cross a Mauvais Dentes and a Königschlange by their own choice?" She said with a playful smirk, as her attention turned back to the frying pan.

Once finished, she dished the food onto two plates and set them down at the table. The smell of cheese hit her nostrils, as she inhaled deeply... But then paused. Two short inhales later, she turned around towards the window. Quickly she paced over, and opened the blind with her finger. Seeing two shadowed figures next door behind the curtains, Ellen frowned.

"There's a human in the same house as the Blutbad... I swear if I don't hear his heartbeat again in the next two minutes I'm going over there."

Even though her and Thea participated in the killing of humans, Ellen found it wrong and unmanly to kill a defenseless human. So, seeing this Blutbad - known for being territorial and vicious - with a human? Her blood started to boil.
"They're the saber-tooth tiger ones, right?" Nick asked, a frown on his face. "Wait... What's stronger than a Mauvais Dentes?" He was getting increasingly and increasingly more on edge as the conversation deepened - that was a powerful Wesen, and by Monroe saying he didn't know what kind of wesen the other was and that it was more of a threat... Nick knew it wasn't going to be a quiet week in the police department.

Nick was, for once, worried. He didn't know what they'd react like to a Grimm, let alone the other humans and wesen alike in the area.

"Just so I know, what kind of tell-tale signs should I look out for if a body comes into the department? What's trademark for that wesen?"

“True, but it would have been nice to actually meet a neighbour and pretend just for a moment, that we weren’t on the run.” Thea was gradually growing tired of always moving from city to city, town to town. Knowing it was the safest option for them both, is what kept her going whenever she wanted to just stop. She could hold her own, she would fight whoever she needed to at any moment.

Sending a smile to Ellen, her fingers eagerly lifted the hot grilled cheese from the plate. Taking a bite of the sandwich, her eyes followed her friend as she gracefully moved over to the front window of their small house.

A frown pulled Thea’s brows together, a human inside a Blutbad’s territory was never a smart idea. It didn’t make sense why this Blutbad would have a human anywhere near his home, unless the Blutbad was planning on killing and eating the human, like so many of them did. Dropping the grilled cheese onto the plate, Thea joined Ellen at the window. “I don’t have a good feeling about this, something feels off to me.” Her voice lowered as her eyes became trained on the figures behind the curtain.

Many species of Wesen practiced in the methods of killing humans, to this day. Thea had been one of those Wesen, as did Ellen. They had both been reformed, they now lead a better life, a life they could be proud of. It took Thea a few short footsteps before she was standing at the front door, her hand resting on the handle. “A quick look wouldn’t hurt,” Glancing over to Ellen, she knew they would both feel better if they at least checked this Blutbad out. Even save the human’s life, if needed.
Monroe nodded his head, “That’s the one.” He agreed with Nick, if the Mauvais Dentes decided to cause trouble, then there were going to be countless of innocent people dying. Dead bodies were going to be found everywhere through Portland, Monroe knew how strong and ruthless a Mauvais Dentes could be.

“I can’t be certain, but I do know a Königschlange would be stronger. Though I have yet to come face to face with a female Königschlange, not that there aren’t any but normally most are males.” Monroe explained standing up from his couch, either way he could only imagine the bloodshed that his new neighbours were about to cause.

Looking towards Nick, a heavy breath escaped his lips. “A body would be covered in lacerations, large fang wounds on the neck. You’ll know straight away, Nick. Human’s can’t do what a Mauvais Dentes can to a human body,” As he spoke he combed his dark hair back with his fingers, praying that Portland would be safe from the two new Wesen that had moved in across the street.
