i still dream for you

  • Kyrie had been surprised with how easily sleep had come, and how well her sleep had been, and she was convinced it was all because of Luke. A part of her had been worried that them reuniting had been a dream, but the optimist in her was certain it wasn't, and when she felt him kissing her lips and neck, she was sure she was right, a shudder running through her. "Lu," she whined quietly, pouting, her eyes still closed, though she shifted with the kisses she was receiving, "Still a morning person, hm?"

Michael swore he'd never had a better night's sleep than the one he'd had that night, and he was eager to wake up to see Ruby, to spend time with her, feeling like the piece of him that had been missing all this time, ever since their breakup, was finally back, and he wanted to relish in it. When he woke, though, he felt a moment of disappointment, of fear, worried the prior night had been a dream, but he tried to stay hopeful. Climbing out of bed, he headed out of the room. "Ruby?" he called out, hopeful to receive an answer, hopeful he hadn't imagined reuniting with her, not sure his heart could take a heartbreak like that.

  • Luke couldn't help but laugh softly when he heard Kyrie's whine, burying his face into her neck, the distant smell of her perfume still embedded into her skin, easily becoming lovedrunk with the influence of the floral undertones. "Sorry if I woke you, Kyr." Luke murmured, but hearing her words, Luke's whole demeanour brightened, surprised that she'd remembered. "Always." He laughed, having always found sleeping in to be difficult - especially with a touring lifestyle. Caging Kyrie in beneath him, Luke sighed happily. "You don't know how happy I was to see you here when I woke up." He admitted gently.

Ruby tended to the eggs carefully as she stirred them around the pan with a happy hum, and hearing Michael's voice, Ruby smiled, the sound alone enough to cause her heart to jump. "In the kitchen!" Ruby called back, hair tied back and Michael's Nirvana sweatshirt too comfortable to change out of. She'd found everything she needed with ease, as though she knew the place by memory, as though her heart had been here before. Plating up everything, Ruby laughed as Michael's dog, South, begged at her feet, his tail wagging. "Oh, okay." Ruby gushed, offering him a small piece of toast.
