Isaac, hoping that he wasn't overstepping reached across the table to grab her hand. "Things really are different this time around. I know that sounds totally stupid and maybe like I'm just saying what you want to hear so you'll trust me but I promise that's not what this is. You know who I am now. You know I'm a werewolf and that I can't change that. Like it or not you're kind of a part of this whole pack dynamic. And that means you know things when they're going on not months later when they're over and done with. We also don't have my father to deal with anymore. Which by the way, when he found you here that night he locked me in the freezer for at least a day. It could've been longer or maybe shorter but it felt like forever. That was the punishment I always got when I did things he really didn't like. That's why I freaked out so much earlier when I was locked in that closet with Allison. All I could think of were all the times I was locked in that freezer unable to get out, barely able to breathe. And the longer I was in there the smaller everything got," he said sighing. He truly couldn't have been more satisfied knowing that he didn't ever have to worry about being afraid of his father anymore.

He couldn't help but laugh softly at her just wanting to be reminded that he never had a thing going with Erica. "Trust me, there was never anything between me and Erica. She was totally more into Boyd than she was me. And I was totally more into you than I was her,"
"Our problem here is that we're trying to focus on too many things at once," Nessa said sighing and pushing her fingers through her hair. "I mean look at how big this pack is, there's both of us. Scott, Lydia, Chloe, Isaac, we could pull in Boyd and Cora, and if we could get her on board Allison. What we need to do is divide and conquer. Because right now we're all over the place trying to save everyone. And it's not working because there's too much going on for us to focus on what we need to do," she told him biting her lip. Literally, at that moment Nessa couldn't have been more thankful that her mom was coming. Because she really needed her mother's guidance, she also needed one of her moms amazing home remedies to help her feel better. Not that Beacon Hills Memorial wasn't a great place, it was just Nessa really hated hospitals and she knew she'd heal much better in the comfort of her home than in a hospital.

"Scott thank you for saving me," Nessa said with a bright smile when he walked into the room.

"It really wasn't any trouble, I'm just glad you're okay," he told her.

Nessa laughed softly, "I am. Or at least I will be, once my mom gets into town tomorrow I'll be even better because she'll get me out of this hospital and I'll actually feel much more relaxed. Places like this just give me the chills," she said not really wanting to go into more details about why or how much she actually loathed hospitals. "There's something actually that I need to tell you so it's good that you stopped by," she told him before going right ahead and explaining how she'd seen his eyes turn red when he was trying to get through the mountain ash, how he was destined to be a true alpha, what that even meant, and of course how she came from a family of emissaries and she was his to help him and the pack.

Chloe couldn’t help but smile a little when he reached for her hand. She did feel a little better but she wasn’t sure. “Just talk to me sometimes too, I know it can be hard to talk about some stuff but even if you told me stuff like this, just us, you know? I just wanted to be treated like your girlfriend is all.” She asked him. She looked at the table. She wondered if she were just so willing to get back with him because she still cared about him. “And well I’m glad you were more into me that makes me feel a little better about it,” She said sheepishly before sighing. “I am sorry your father was that way to you, but he can’t ever hurt you again. And I’m sorry that my being there that night ended up hurting you, I wish I could have done more to help.”

She leaned against the table for a second before squeezing his hand and standing up. “So I guess if you can do all of those then we can get back together,” She said, gathering the plates to wash and put into the dishwasher. She didn’t mind it, it gave her a mindless task to focus on and she appreciated it whenever she had a lot on her mind. She went back over to the table and sighed, leaning down and kissing him quickly before smiling at him. “It’s getting late, do you want me to go?”
Stiles nodded. “Yeah but we have to help Derek much as we don’t want to, he could die if we don’t help him. Kali was clear about that.” He sighed as he looked at her. “And your mom... will she take kindly to the rest of us? Namely me?” He asked curiously. Last thing he wanted was the girl he liked’s mother hating him. It would be another thing to worry about especially since he really liked Nessa. He sighed as she explained that they needed to divide. He could see she was right but he also knew they would need a lot of help dealing with Derek and Kali.

“The cross country meet is coming up soon you might have to sit out of it,” He said with a sigh. “You could still come just not run in it,” He added as he sat down. When she began to explain everything to Scott he felt immensely better. He hated having to keep secrets from His best friend and now he didn’t have to. He could do whatever he needed to do to help him become a True Alph however he could. Scott looked shocked and he couldn’t say he blamed him, it had seemed exhausting and he didn’t know what else needed to be done before he would actually fully become the True Alpha. “Well we don’t have to decide anything now. Are you hungry? Hospital food sucks so I can go get you something, anything you want.”

Isaac couldn't help but smile into the kiss and for a split moment before she pulled away he kissed her back. "You don't have to go if you don't want," he told her softly really wanting more time with her. He really did plan on trying to get better at being a boyfriend to her. Honestly, Chloe was the only girl he'd felt this way around ever. Sure over the years he'd had small crushes on girls but it had never turned into anything more because he was still young and had time to fall in love, he'd always been a kind of awkward kid who tried to keep to himself because his dad had made him feel that way, and his dad never would've let him date even if he'd wanted to or been able to get a date. Clearly though because the first time he'd had Chloe over before they were 'officially' dating and his dad had caught her Isaac had been locked in a freezer for who even knew how long because he'd had a girl over.

"I promise to treat you like my girlfriend and not just some girl I'm friends with," Isaac said smiling at her. "And with everything that's been going on these last few weeks and then this whole thing with Nessa being taken I just don't want you to be anywhere out there alone, and I don't want to be alone myself either," he said knowing that Scott's mom would be at the hospital all night probably. He also had a feeling that Scott was going to be there as well watching over Nessa to make sure nothing else happened to her which meant he'd be alone. And while Isaac wasn't afraid to do what he needed to to protect himself he just didn't want to be alone and feel this extra need to be on guard.
"Oh I'm sure my mom will take nicely to all of you," Nessa said biting her lip before adding anything as she knew she needed to approach this delicately. "However, I'm sure she won't take the idea of me romanticly involving myself with a pack member very kindly. She has this whole idea that as emissaries we are simply supposed to guide the alpha's we are paired with and be there to give them counsel if they need it. But we should never get involved with the personal lives of pack members because of the repercussions it could cause. And even though you're not a werewolf you're still a member of Scott's non-traditional pack. So I'm sure she'll have something to say about that," she said sighing and leaning back into the pillow on her bed. Nessa did totally understand why her mom believed the things she did because that was traditionally how things were done and her parents were very traditional. But Nessa did hope that she could get her mom to just for once break tradition and see that Nessa truly cared for Stiles.

Nessa smiled over at Stiles really glad that just in general she had him in her life. Even if she hadn't developed feelings for him she would still be thankful for him because he was such a good friend. Honestly, that was one of the things that Nessa liked most about Stiles, he was such a nice guy. He cared so much about his friends and just the people in his life in general that he would literally lay down so much for them. He was always looking out for the left out, he was so smart, and she could spend a lot more time listing off qualities that she liked about him but she wouldn't. "I'm not really hungry right now, but if you want to go grab something to eat I'll still be here and will be okay," she told him. "I mean Scott is literally right outside the room with his mom, so I'm sure I'm good," she told him not wanting Stiles to starve himself or not take care of himself so he could take care of her.

Chloe shrugged. “Then I’ll stay,” She said with a small smile. “I’ll just tell my father I’m staying over with Nessa after what happened,” She told him. She knew he was right, after everything going on, she didn’t want to be alone either. Things were getting dangerous and the last thing she wanted was for him or her to get hurt even though she knew he could take care of herself and she knew he knew she could do the same. It just made for a better excuse if she was with him. “I’ll need something to wear,” She told him gently, turning away from the table. “What room is yours?” She asked curiously. She pulled on his arm and went toward the staircase, heading up the stairs to see if she could find his room.

When she found it she looked around and sat down, putting her feet under her. She looked up at him and sighed. “You know, I don’t think I mind you being a werewolf, what with everything going on. I like you being able to protect yourself, though I don’t think dating a werewolf hunter is very smart for a werewolf on your part,” She said with a small smile. “Maybe a nice regular girl or something, but I like you too much to let you go.” She said with a smile and leaning against him when he sat down. “What do you want to do when you graduate high school? Do you know?” She asked curiously. “I used to want to return to France but I don’t think that I’ll do that anymore. Maybe I’ll go to school here.” She knew making decisions based on Isaac might be stupid but she cared about him enough to factor him into her decisions but she wouldn’t let it completely dictate them either.
Stiles stared at her. “Oh well yeah, no romantic involvements with pack members,” He said with a shrug. He remembered her kissing him of course but she wasn’t talking directly about him right? He thought there was so much going on that he couldn’t believe it even still. How could Nessa like him? Nessa? She was someone who he never would have expected might like him. Especially not enough to do something about it. Most people pretended he didn’t exist, not have crushes and follow through on them. So he figured maybe she also meant Scott and Alison, Chloe and Isaac, like them. He smiled at her. “And no I’m fine if you’re fine. I just want to make sure you’re not gonna suffer in hospital food but I’m sure I could get you the hookup with the cafeteria staff.”

He sat back in the chair and rubbed his face once. “So When is your mom coming? Is she staying or just visiting?” He asked curiously. “Is she an emissary too? That’s how you know everything about wolf and monsters and stuff, huh? You learn it as a bedtime story until you find out it’s al real?” He asked her. He couldn’t imagine having that dropped on him but he guessed it was sort of better than not knowing at all. He wondered if he would ever have to tell his father about this stuff. And he really hoped he wouldn’t have to. “Did the doctor say how long they want to keep you?”

Isaac followed Chloe up to his room happy to have her to stay over because after a long day like today he really needed this. "Here," he said before he tossed her a shirt to wear so she'd have something to sleep in, then walking over to his bed and sitting next to her. "Well you're not a typical hunter so I hope I'm safe there, technically when we first started to date I thought you were just a nice regular girl I didn't know you were a hunter nor was I a werewolf yet," he said thinking back to how things had been when they'd first gotten together. Everything had been different than it was now. Because now he was a werewolf, now he knew she was a hunter, now she knew he was a werewolf. And while everything was a little more complicating now it was almost like it was easier to deal with because they were being open with each other about things.

Isaac ran his hands over his face and tried not to sigh at the topic that was brought up. Honestly, he had no idea what he wanted to do after high school, and he felt too stressed out about everything else going on around him to worry about what the future held. Though he knew that he should be thinking about it, he should be taking his future into his own hands and planning for it. After all, he was eventually going to graduate high school, and then he was going to be expected to attend college, or at least have some kind of a plan for his life. But he didn't. He had no idea, and he didn't exactly have parents he could talk to about what the future would look like either, so that left him even more confused. "I honestly, have no idea," he told her finally letting out the sigh. "I haven't really put much thought into it. I know I should but I haven't,"
"I really appreciate that," Nessa said smiling over at Stiles, "but I really am okay right now," she told him before she sighed. "She'll be here in the morning more than likely. And I'm sure she'll be staying. At least for the foreseeable future," she added totally happy that her mom was coming to town and that she was going to get to have time with her again. But Nessa was also slightly on edge about the whole thing because she didn't want her mom coming to town thinking that Nessa couldn't handle this situation on her own. She was after all seventeen and helping out with a pretty messed up situation, plus Scott was on his way to becoming a true alpha like they had all predicted.

Nessa tucked her hair behind her ear, "so it's a little complicated with my mom. Technically she has the status of emissary but she's like not actually one. She's kind of like an emissary for emissaries. So she and my dad travel a lot because normally they're going wherever new emissaries or new packs end up emerging. They kind of help train emissaries. And it's been like this my whole life. So yes this is how I know everything that I know, and of course, my parents eased me into everything if you consider starting to teach me when I was five," she said knowing it was very similar to the lives of hunters who decided to teach their children at young ages the codes they lived by. Though the code of a hunter and the code of an emissary are very different. "As far as I know they're just keeping me overnight and I'll be free to go in the morning. Probably when my mom gets here,"

Chloe took the shirt and went over to his bathroom, pulling the shirt on and balling up the rest of her clothes to put into her bag. She sat back down on the bed and sighed, leaning her head against his shoulder. “It’s okay, we have time. And I always thought it was dumb we had to decide the rest of our lives in such a short amount of time. It’s okay you don’t know,” She added. “Is it getting easier? With you being a werewolf? I only know what I was taught but is everything getting easier?” She pulled on the blanket and sighed. “And you know you’re safe with me, I wouldn’t do anything to hurt you, you know that.” She reminded him. “Things were easier before though. But I think things are better now.”

She leaned back against the headboard and shrugged. “If my brother visited I would like you to meet him but I know that would be a terrible idea. He and Gerard are very close if that give you an idea of how he might react if he knew. My father pretends he doesn’t know, but I know he does. I think he dislikes you being a boy more than anything else. And my mother is blissfully unaware and I hope to keep it that way for as long as I can.”
Stiles nodded. He would do his best to steer clear at least so she could spend some time with her mother. He had a strange feeling but didn’t read into it. He found it really cool what her mother did. Since he was relatively new to all of this, emissaries, druids, Darachs, it was all very knew. He appreciated now knowing Nessa could answer questions he had and didn’t understand. He was also happy He now didn’t have to keep it from Scott. He hoped that now they could all possibly be a few steps ahead and find out who it was and put a stop to everything before things got worse than they were.

“Know how long she’ll be staying? Can she help us with everything? Or give us something they might help us figure out what we might be up against?” He asked before looking at her as an idea cake to him. “Wait your mom trained emissaries, right? Like a lot? Is it possible your mom might have trained this one and can guess who it is?” He knew it was a wild thought but he thought it was worth a shot at least. And if not, at least they had Nessa who knew a lot that they didn’t and that enough would help them out.

Isaac nodded his head and laughed softly. “I thought it was insane too,” he said understanding why it was important to have at least an idea of what you wanted to do when you were this young but it was also so frustrating how much pressure they felt. “It is getting a little easier yeah,” he said nodding his head. He hadn’t really thought about that until she’d asked really but giving it thought now things were getting easier. He was slowly becoming more in control of things. But he was also realizing too what things triggered him more which helped keep him in check. It was still hard, and he knew it was going to take a long time to be fully in control of everything but he was on the right path.

Isaac bit his lip and leaned over to kiss her head. “I wish I could meet your family too but well that really wouldn’t be a good idea. I wish you could’ve met my mom and my brother. You guys would’ve gotten along really well. They would’ve loved you,” he told her with a saddened tone. He didn’t really spend a lot of time thinking about them because they’d just been gone so long that it was just memories now. He didn’t feel the pain that he’d felt when they were first gone. And that had been hard, unlike when his dad was killed. That was something Isaac would never be sad over.
Nessa shrugged her shoulders. “I’m not sure, I mean I guess there is a chance she could know who it is. Or at least give us an idea of who it could be,” she said wondering if her mom would know. But Nessa didn’t want to get her hopes up that they were going to get a break in the case because it was a long shot. After all, her mom had trained a lot of people and Nessa was sure that after a while they might all blur together. “How about we talk about something else for now?” She asked him looking over with a smile. “I want to figure this all out as much as you but I’m starting to get a little tired honestly,” she told him wanting this whole day to just be over. She wanted to see her mom, get out of the hospital, and get well. And honestly she didn’t want to talk about her mom right now either because it made her anxious to even imagine how her mom would react to the feelings she had for Stiles. Though she wasn’t really sure how Stiles felt about her either, because he was kind of hard to read, so maybe there was nothing to even worry about.

“Like that upcoming lacrosse game you guys have, are you excited?” She asked him knowing that she was honestly kind of excited about it. This gave everyone a reason to get out of town for a weekend where they could hopefully take their minds off all the stress going on. At least for a day or two. And maybe it was stupid to think that way but after everything they were dealing with Nessa needed something like that to look forward to for her own sanity.

Chloe nodded. “I know, but even still it would have been nice if you could have met my family on normal circumstances. Every other member of my family would kill you, and we can’t have that. Still, it would have been nice.” She murmured as she looked at her phone and put it on the table next to them. She leaned into him and sighed. “At least hopefully things will normal out. All we have is that cross country meet coming up, we’ll be able to train for that and not die.” She said with a small laugh. She just wanted to be able to be a normal teenager for once. It seems like everything was moving really quickly around them and she would like it if it would slow it down just a bit so she could enjoy being a teenager. “At least I’m happy that it’s getting easier for you. Because I didn’t know earlier, you probably went through a lot and I wasn’t here to help you with it. I am sorry about that though. I wish I had been able to be there for you when you needed me.” She pulled up the blanket and yawned.
Stiles nodded. “Well hopefully you’re feeling better sooner rather than later. Lacrosse season ended, irs cross country and you’re on the team. I hope you’ll be able to participate but even still you could just tag along just because.” He said. He looked at the clock and then the door. “Do you want me to stay the night?” He asked curiously. The last thing he wanted to do is impose, but at the same time the last thing he wanted to do was leave her. “I don’t mind either way, I just want you to be comfortable.“ He sighed leaning back against the chair. “You can sleep, I’ll be here in the morning, so I can check on you. I’ve got practice in the morning because Coach is a madman but aside from that I’ll be free since it’s the weekend.” He explained. “Might even give us some time to rest.” He was tired of it too. He didn’t want to think about it for a while and he was content to pretend to ignore it for a few days if only to not stress her out.

Isaac nodded his head in agreement, it would have been nice if they could meet each other's families but sadly the cards simply hadn't played out that way. And he supposed that it wasn't the worst thing, because at least they knew each other and Isaac's dad couldn't do anything insane to mess things up this time around. "I hope things normal out too," he said leaning back on the bed and letting out a sigh. There was honestly nothing he would like more than for them to just be normal kids again. Or at least somewhat normal, so no more insane things coming to Beacon Hills for the pack to have to deal with. He'd like to just live a life that he didn't feel he had to look over his shoulder all the time. And maybe this was what he'd signed up for the moment he'd let Derek bite him and turn him into a werewolf, but he felt like things were just getting really out of hand. He also hadn't expected anything to turn out like this, because if he had he might've thought a little bit harder about if he even wanted the bite to begin with. There was no changing that though because once you turn into a werewolf you couldn't be cured and Isaac didn't hate being a werewolf, there were actually quite a few perks that he rather enjoyed but his life just was a little insane thanks to all the supernatural beings being drawn to Beacon Hills and it was more than he was expecting is all.

"It's okay, I got through it all and I'm telling myself that we're going to get through all this now with minimal scarring so all will be well," he said turning his head to look at her with a small smile. Even though Isaac would think of changing things if he could go back and change them he was pretty okay with how things were overall. Yea it was insane, yes it was difficult to manage, yea there had been a lot more moments recently that had scared him than normal, and he would admit that currently with everything happening he did feel like he was living in a constant state of worry. But despite all those things he had friends that felt like a family. He had people in his corner who he trusted and by the looks of it Chloe was going to be one of those people again, and so he had reasons to be okay at the end of the day.
Nessa ran her fingers through her hair and sighed. "Oh yeah, I guess my mind has just been all over the place lately that I just forgot that," she said biting her lip. Nessa wasn't sure how she'd forgotten that but there had been a lot going on lately so it kind of made sense. "I'll have to ask the doctor, I'm actually not sure what my limitations will be when I get out of here," she said suddenly just wanting her mom there to comfort her and help her get through all of this. Nessa had never felt this helpless in her life and she didn't like it one bit actually. "Would you mind staying?" She asked him softly sending him a smile. "I mean if you have to go I understand and I'm sure I'll be okay since Ms. McCall is here and that I know she'll call Scott if anything happens. I just don't want to be alone,"

Just hearing herself ask Stiles to stay so she wasn't alone wasn't something she'd ever imagined herself saying to anyone. Nessa had always been very independent, and she'd never really leaned on anyone for things. Even when she was a little girl she simply didn't ask for help. Her mom would tell her stories about how she knew that Nessa had some kind of warrior spirit because she never turned away from danger or turned down a task even if it seemed totally impossible, and if she was ever scared she didn't let people know, it simply wasn't in her nature. Yet within the last 24 hours, she'd almost died which was the scariest thing she had ever gone through in her life and all she wanted was to feel comfortable again. She wanted Stiles and her mom, because she felt comfortable and safe with them, and it was a different kind of comfortable and safe than she felt when she was around people like Scott and his mom.

Chloe pulled her bag out of her locker, headed toward the bus. They were finally headed toward their cross country meet, and things seemed to be normalizing at least a little bit. Almost everyone was going, at least since most of them seemed to be on the team. She headed over to the bus where people were getting on, she really wanted to get near Isaac. They had had a pretty big fight between the Alphas and their friends, so for some pretty significant reasons, things were a little tense. It was nice to have something different to focus on though, like a match as opposed to something crazier. She caught up with Isaac by the bus and put her bag in the back. “Hey, want to sit with me?” She asked him, smiling up at him.

She hoped things were better, or st least between them she thought they might be. She wanted them to get closer and since they had had the time to talk things out a few weeks ago, after what happened with Nessa, she felt like they were in a good place. “Are you excited for the meet? I’m happy we get some time away from Beacon Hills if I’m being honest.” She said, sliding into the seat towards the back by the window. She didn’t want to be near coach especially since coach tended to pick on people near him whenever the mood struck him. “Also my fathers off on business, when we get back you can come over and we can hang out.” Her father had no idea she was with Isaac again and she planned on keeping it that was for as long as she could. Isaac usually had to hide whenever he was over but he didn’t seem to really mind.
Stiles stood outside of the bus with Nessa while he waited for Scott to come out of the bathroom. “Now you’re sure you’re okay?” He asked for the millionth time. “I know it’s been three weeks, but humor me.” It had been close to a month since Nessa had been kidnapped, and though she seemed to be mostly back to normal he wasn’t sure running in the meet was the best thing. He knew she was more than capable but he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t just the smallest bit worried she wasn’t completely healed yet. “Like you c an still come along but you can sit with me, and then I’ll be able to keep you company that way. If you run, I won’t be able to see how you’re doing and stuff.”

Things with Nessa were going really well, he thought. He liked her, and thought things were alright. He hoped she felt the same at least. Ever since she had gotten hurt he was more careful with all of them now, he wasn’t letting anyone else get taken by anyone, and unfortunately they still hadn’t figured it out but they had other things to deal with. “Oh hey Scott come on,” He said, helping Scott onto the bus who looked terrible. He needed more time to heal than usual but they were doing what they could to speed it as best as they knew. “Is there anything we can do for him in the meantime though?” He asked Nessa as they went to sit on the bus and he bus moved to go to the meet.
