Demon Inside. [closed]

Emily was in the kitchen, pouring huge bags of candy into plastic buckets shaped like pumpkins. They were orange, purple and green, and each one had a different face. Holidays were always a big deal at Emily's house. Her parents always went huge and bought way more candy than they needed, but hundreds of trick or treaters always showed up, so Emily was making sure to pour out all the candy. Her best friend, Blair, hadn't had any other plans for Halloween, so they were just staying in at her house, the plan was to just watch horror movies and hand out candy to little kids.

"Still can't believe you didn't dress up with me." Emily laughed, walking out of the kitchen with two of the candy filled pumpkins. She had dressed up as a popular kid's movie vampire, a girl named Mavis from Hotel Transylvania, black wigs, fangs and all. She sat the pumpkins down next to the door right as a loud knock could be heard, making her jump and spill a little of the candy. "Shit-" She gasped and just sat the bucket down all the way before she stood up straight and jerked the door open, a little annoyed. It was only seven, and trick or treat didn't start until eight, so she knew it wasn't any little kids.

Emily was a little surprised to see Axel and Finn standing at the door. Emily was immediately embarrassed, her face turning pink, sure that she looked silly being the only one dressed up. She had a huge crush on Finn and the last thing she wanted was to look stupid in front of him. "U-uhm, hi, guys?" She looked over her shoulder and called for Blair, before she looked back at them slowly, "What... are you two doing here?" She chewed on her bottom lip.

Blair finished texting Axel and sent the message before she looked at Emily. "I mean its kind of lame since we are just at home. But i still love you." She teased her friend. She took the KitKat bar from the bucket and opened it. "I like free chocolate though." She said, laughing as she jumped. She walked with her watching as she opened the door. Blair was surprised to see the guys standing there. "Babe, I told you we couldnt hang out. Im watching movies with Emily." She said, rolling her eyes at his slick words. Blair hugged him, feeling his arms move around her. She pulled away, seeing Emily looking at Finn. She stepped back, "What do you two want anyway?" She asked. She could tell they had something planned.

Finn got out of Axel's car and walked towards Emily's front door. "Dude, I thought Blair said for you not to come over." He said, chuckling as he rang the doorbell. He was surprised to see Emily all dressed up. It was cute and he could tell she was embarrassed. He rolled his eyes as Axel sucked up to Blair. "Kiss ass." He teased his friend. Finn took a piece of candy from Emily's bucket. "Thanks." He said, smirking. "Having fun?" He asked her. He smiled when Blair asked what they wanted, "We decided we wanted to go to the haunted building downtown. You know it is really haunted and Axel suggested invited you two." He said.

Emily couldn’t decide if it was either just because Finn was inviting her or if she genuinely thought breaking into a haunted building sounded fun. She loved spooky stuff like horror movies and the occult and the idea of genuinely ghost hunting to a degree sounded fun. And she knew Blair wanted to go, she could see her friendly practically wanting to jump at the mention of it.

“I guess I could just set the candy bucket on the stoop...” Emily smiled towards her friend. “Just give me a minute to change?” Her gaze moved from Blair to Finn and she couldn’t help but blush before running up the stairs.

She came back down about fifteen minutes later, in a completely different outfit. “Ready?”

Axel watched as Emily disappeared up the stairs and then turned his attention back down to Blair. “I know you did, which is exactly why I brought Finn...” Axel smirked, “He was like a secret weapon against Emily.” He laughed, letting his arms loosely wrap around Blair’s waist, “and I couldn’t possibly just let you watch movies on Halloween. We have to do something way scarier than that.” He smirked, his hand moving to hold hers as he quickly pulled her out of the house.

Blair smiled as he put his arms around her, "Very very sneaky of you." She teased him. She took his hand as he led her out of the house when Emily was ready. She smiled as she let Emily get in the backseat with Finn. She got in the front seat with Axel and relaxed. "Oh look you brought beverages." She teased him, seeing the small cooler at her feet. She took one of the beers out, offering one to the two in the back before she got her own. She smacked Axel's hand when he reached for one, "No, no, you are driving." She said. She opened the bottle then took a swig of it. She loved Emily, but this whole going out thing was fun. The group laughed and joked around til they pulled up to this abandoned building. It felt like the atmosphere changed instantly. Blair finished her drink, watching as Axel got out before she followed him. she smiled at him, "Shh..." She said. She waited til Finn and Emily went to get out then sneaked around to Finn's window and slammed her hands against it. She laughed as they freaked out. She shrugged when Finn jokingly called her a bitch. "Well, duh." She replied. She took Axel's hand, "Lead the way." She said.

Finn sighed as he got out with Emily. He felt bad that she was so freaked out. "It will be alright. We will just give them Axel because he's an asshole anyway." He said, laughing a little. He walked with her int the darkness towards the house. He helped Axel get the door open then stepped inside, helping Emily get in. The air felt heavy, but they wouldn't be there long so he wasn't worried.

Emily chewed on the inside of her lip, crossing her arms tightly over her chest and moving closer towards Finn. The moment they stepped foot on the stoop to this house, Emily could feel a sense of almost dread wash over her; from the crown of her head to the bottoms of her feet, she felt like she was just sinking. She looked around from Finn's face to the other two, wondering if it was only her that felt it. Was she just scared? Emily stepped back and watched as Finn and Blair busted the lock off the front door and swung the door open, revealing nothing but pitch darkness. Emily hesitated before following everyone else inside, and quickly hurried to catch up to Finn.

"Have you done this before?" She whispered, looking up at him as they walked into the living room, "What was this building anyways?"

Axel, overhearing, interrupted to answer, "It used to be a funeral home-" He chuckled, knowing it would probably freak her out. He lit an old candle that was sitting on a dusty table and pulled back some of the curtains over the windows that were practically falling down. "We thought it would be funny to come here and do a little-..." Axel dropped the backpack he was wearing to the ground and leaned down to unzip it. From inside, he pulled out a folded up plastic Ouija board that looked like it was bought for ten bucks at the nearest Walmart. "A little ghost whispering." He smirked and began to clean off the glass living room table that was coated in a thick dark dust, before laying the board down and grabbing the planchette from the depths of his bag.

Finn shook his head, "I haven't been to this building before. We have been in other abandon buildings though." He said, chuckling. He laughed when Emily looked afraid. He put his arm around her, "Come on babe, I will keep you safe." He said. He led her to the room, watching as Axel pulled a Quija board from his bag. He shook his head, "Alright, I am in." He said as he sat down at the table with Axel. "Come on girls it will be fun." He said as he got comfortable. He knew that it was going to get interesting.

Blair bit her bottom lip lightly as she watched Axel pull out a Quija board. She didn't know if she wanted to sit with them at the table. She was a little freaked out about all of this. She sat down at the table with him, then placed her hand on his thigh. "Where did you even get this?" She asked, laughing softly. She looked at him, then kissed his cheek. She was glad that she was getting to spend time with him.
