Flora blinked when she heard her name, her gaze settling on Luke as she peered over at him, and she watched him for a moment before she made her way over to sit down. “Thank you,” she told him eventually, quietly, “For letting me stay here. For helping my sister and me.”
Michael smiled slightly and shook his head. “You don’t have to thank me,” he promised as he watched her before motioning, “You can sit anywhere you like, there’s no issue. Just pick a spot and plop down.” He grinned, though, with her reaction to South, and he looked over. “Yeah, that’s South. I hope a dog’s not a problem?”
