Crash into Me

Nova grinned and nodded. "Yeah she's paranoid I will turn out like my father." she laughed nervously and shrugged. She smiled and hung out with Lennox wishing she could figure out a way to talk to her but she had no idea what to say so they just kind of awkwardly stood there together making small talk when the silence was to much. When Ryker and Cameron came over she smiled and sighed relieved that they wouldn't have to be so alone in the silence anymore. She chuckled at Ryker as he gloated. "Yeah sure it did." she chuckled and looked over at Lennox and smirked. She got it now. Nova could see it all over her face. She was so into Cameron. Nova took the drink and took a large swig feeling it sink into her and she sighed already feeling more relaxed.

Cameron laughed. "Only if they found something to argue about, I would call that progress." he winked at him and chuckled sliding in beside Lennox. "Hey cutie." he ran his hand up her arm. "Did you almost miss me?" he didn't drink when he knew his friends where. He might be reckless but he wasn't stupid. Cameron liked to have his head together to take care of everyone. "You ready to dance yet or you need another drink?" he asked feeling like he needed to be moving. He hated sitting still for so long, even half a day on a Friday is almost to much at school.

Ryker smiled, "I am just glad your mom let you out of the house." He teased her. He knew that her mom just worried a lot but Nova wasnt as innocent as her mom wanted her to be
Ryker glanced over, seeing Lennox and Cameron talking. He looked at Nova, "So am I sneaking you back into the house or are you really sleeping at Lennox's house?" He asked.

Lennox smiled at Cameron, "I meant we werent apart that long." She teased him. She got another drink when he mentioned dancing, "I dont know about that." She said. "I think i need more to drink before we dance." She said.

Nova nodded and smiled. She laughed at his question and downed the rest of her drink whispering to him. "I don't think she would let me sleep in her plain car if we both paid her." She said and chuckled grabbing his hand and ran her hand up his arm. "I could just stay with you tonight, no one will notice. I will sneak in through the window." she said and chuckled. "I am sure Cameron can give me some climbing tips." she said and ran her hand down his arm leaning into him. The music was good but the energy of the party needed some more alcohol. No one was drunk enough to be interesting yet it seemed.

Cameron laughed. He grabbed a water and took a drink chuckling as she said she needed more. "Well get to it. In the mean time I am going to mingle." he said and caressed her cheek leaving a kiss on her other cheek before slipping into another room. Cameron was always the life of the part people laughed and cheered wherever he went.

Ryker chuckled, "I mean Cam just broke his arm in a fall. You may not want his tips." He teased her. Ryker took a sip of his beer, "We can try it though. Do you not think Lennox likes you?" He asked. He didnt want Nova to be uncomfortable or anything like that.

Lennox watched as Cameron walked away and sighed. She finished a few more drinks before she slipped out of the crowded house. Everyone seems to be getting more drunk. she took the shot she had then sat on the porch and looked at her drink. She didnt know why she came to the parties because she didnt like all the people. She felt like it was mostly because Ryker and cameron insisted she came.

Nova laughed and nodded. "Sure but that is all he broke I call that one a win." she said and grabbed another drink frowning at his next question. "I think she doesn't know me and I don't know her. I think we don't know how to talk to each other and it's awkward." She put her hand on his arm. "Don't worry Ryker. I think if I was anyone other than your friend she wouldn't have even offered to help. She really cares for you and that I admire." she said and downed her drink. "Time to dance!" she said setting the empty glass down and winking at Ryker before moving out onto the floor. Nova was comfortable enough with her body to dance a lone but she never had to wait long before someone else joined her. She moved under the lights where the music was loudest letting it take over her body. It was a that moment in the lights and music where she finally didn't have to think. Nova swayed her hands running over her body tauntingly.

Cameron swung back around after a while and found Lennox sitting beside her. He put his arm around her shoulder. "Hey why so gloom? Did Nova bum you out today?" he asked and smiled at her. He adored Lennox and wanted to make her smile. He wanted to have fun with here weather that was teaching her all his outdoor fun, between he sheets or just hanging out. He knew the parties weren't really her thing but he was really trying to get her to make at least one more friend somewhere and he had no idea how to do that. They where juniors in high school, before long they would be looking at colleges and figuring out how to stay in contact. Cameron still had no idea what he wanted to do with his life. He rubbed her back looking at the empty back yard. It was a bit chilly tonight. He took off his jacket and slipped it around her shoulders. "You know you can tell me if you need to get out of here." he said and kissed her temple. Cameron might be a lot of things but insensitive to his best friends was not one of them.

Ryker smiled as he watched her go to dance. He let his eyes move over her body as he watched her. He frowned when he noticed some guy start dancing with her. The next thing he knew he noticed the guy touch Nova and saw that she tried to pull away and wasnt happy. Before he knew it he was punching the guy hard enough to take him off his feet, seeing the blood leave his mouth.

Lennox looked at him, "Im fine and Nova was fine." She said. She smiled when he gave her his jacket and relaxed against him. She shook her head, "No, we dont have to leave we just got here and you guys are having fun." She said. She got up with him and walked inside. She saw Ryker hit the guy and laughed, "Awesome." She said, smiling.

Nova gasped as Ryker stalked over to her and punched the guy so he feel back onto to floor. She looked at the guy. Stupid football player. She could have leveled him herself but now was not the time to argue with Ryker. She had never seen him like this. She had never been in this possession with him. She pushed at his chest back towards the doors outside until they where outside. "What the hell?" she yelled and smacked his chest with her hands. "I can handle myself!" she said and ran a hand through her hair looking back towards the door really hoping the guy didn't get up and decide to try and defend his honor. Nova sighed and laid her head on his chest smiling softly. She looked up at him and hugged him. "Thanks." she whispered and then rolled her eyes pulling away. "This party is lame I have a better place." She looked over at Lennox and Cameron. "You guys wanna bail?" she asked.

Cameron smiled and nodded standing with her and walking inside. They just walked inside to see Ryker hit the big guy and nock him down. His dad must have taught him that. Mr. Spence was an awesome dad. "Shit." he said and watched Nova push Ryker past them outside. He turned and followed them watching as Nova went through a display of emotions before realizing she wasn't alone with him. He chuckled and looked inside where the big guy was looking around trying to see where Ryker went. "Unless we want to fight the football team it might be a good idea." he said and looked at Lennox wondering is she was ready now.

Ryker frowned as she pulled him outside and yelled at him. "Yea well it didnt seem that way." He muttered. He relaxed as she hugged him. He nodded when she offered going somewhere else. "Yea lets get out of here." He said. He walked with them and got into Cameron' car. He was the only one who hadnt drank anything.

Lennox nodded when Cameron suggested leaving. She got in the front seat of his car and listened to Nova tell him where to go. Lennox turned the musix up in his car and relaxed as he drove..

Nova grinned. She walked out with them and slipped into the back. She gave Cameron directions to the old train tracks bridge. Just under that bridge was a spot hardly anyone went to but there was a stash there of things for teens who just wanted to have a little fun. Nova had helped set it up herself. She smiled as they parked by the overhang and she slipped out going to a spot and gerabbing out two bottles of alcohol. She opened a bottle and dropped some money in the cooler before covering it back up taking a drink. She came over to Ryker offering him a drink from the bottle before offering the other bottle to Lennox. This was one of her get always when she just couldn’t stand to go home.

Cameron smiled as he pulled up to the surprisingly clean spot. “What is this place Nova?” He asked and listened to her explain. “So it’s like a crash pad kind of with rules though so it’s nice.” Nova nodded and he chuckled. Cameron looked around the rocky little cannon and up at the old train tracks. “It’s nice.” He said and turned up the music in his car for them. Nova brought out a blanket and cuddled into it leaning into Ryker. Cameron was glad that she seemed to like Ryker. He really hoped his friend could get the girl.

Ryker was kind of surprised about the place that Nova chose. When she offered him a drink of the liqour he shook his head, "No thanks." He told her. He liked to drink, but he never wanted to get drunk or to the point where he didn't know what he was doing. Ryker relaxed as he felt Nova lean against him. It was a lot quieter than any of the places they usually went to. He knew that his friends liked it a lot more than he thought he would. He grabbed a bottle of water out of the back of Cameron's bronco, opening it. He took a swig of the water and relaxed again.

Lennox took the bottle from Nova and opened it. She took a swig of it, seeing Cameron looking at the rock cliff, "No." she told him, laughing a little as he looked at her. She leaned against his bronco as she watched him walk around to look at stuff. Lennox took a swig of the bottle then set it on the hood of his truck and followed after him, leaving the other two alone. "Going somewhere?" She teased him once they were away from the other two. She smiled as she looked at him and walked with him.

Nova grinned as she leaned into him watching the others kind of sneak off. "I figured your friend could use some space and this was the best place for you to not get in a fight. You'll be lucky if the football team doesn't try to jump you after school Monday." Nova said and chuckled looking up at him. Nova still didn't understand why he had done that. She might be his friend but what did that have to do with him picking a fight for her? Nova sat down on a rock looking up at him. "I don't get how you like to be around so many people."

Cameron laughed. "Why no?" He asked and went to see where a good place to start would be. Cameron looked at Lennox as she came around catching him. "Always going up." He said and grabbed her hips. "You could come with me this time." He said and pressed her back against the rock surface running his hands up her side's. He had been thinking about her all day and wanted to take her away from here and make her all his.

Ryker chuckled, "I'm not scared of those assholes." He told her. He took a swig of his water and shrugged at her next question, "I mean I get along with pretty much everyone." He explained, "Plus, I don't see the point of spending time alone." He said. He liked to talk to people, but then again his parents were very social people so maybe that was why he was so into having friends. "I'm sorry if I embarrassed you at the party. I just didn't like to see that guy grab you like that. It was a dick move on his part." He told her. He wasn't sorry for what he did to the guy, but he felt bad that he drew attention to Nova.

Lennox smiled, "I told you no." She teased him. She gasped a little bit when he grabbed her hips and backed her up against the rock. She looked up at him, "I don't know about that." She said, laughing a little. She felt his warm hands moving up her sides as she relaxed against the cool surface of the rock. She loved the way that Cameron made her feel like she was the only person around. "Rock climbing is more your thing." She teased him. Though they had went on a few hikes before, but it didn't involve any climbing. Lennox leaned up some and kissed him, her hands resting on his cheeks as they kissed.

Nova smiled and shook her head. "I'm not scared of attention I just don't like having to worry about other people getting hurt because of me." She said and laid her head on his shoulder. "Ryker we've been friends a long time haven't we?" She asked. " What happened to us?we use to be so close. What happened?" She asked him. Recently it felt like he had pulled away. They hardly ever hung out. This was the most time they had spent together in years and he was acting all funny.

"Mm maybe you should try it. You might like it." He said and then she kissed him. He pulled her closer to him and kissed her deeper. He loved the taste of her. He pulled her hips to him and ran his hands up her back then down again playing with the hem of her shirt. Cameron wanted more and was trying to figure out a way to get her to agree.

Ryker looked at her, "I don't know, I guess we just kind of started hanging out with different people." He said. He watched her for a moment, "I think we should hang out more though. I mean if you want to that is. I think it would be fun to do some more stuff together." He told her. Ryker took another sip of his water and smiled, "I do think it is weird that we quit hanging out like that." He said.

Lennox kissed him back as she felt his hands mess with her shirt. She pressed her hips to his as she kissed him deeply. She slipped her hands under his shirt as they kissed. Lennox pulled away slowly and looked at him. She ran her fingers through his short hair and smiled. Though she was surprised when it started to rain hard. "Well this night is just going so well." She said, laughing before she kissed him once more. She walked with him, finding Nova and Ryker. She got in the car with everyone and looked at Cameron, "We could always go back to my place. My grandma is visiting my aunt this weekend." She said, glancing back at Nova and Ryker, seeing if they wanted to do that. She glanced at Cameron, seeing the way his tshirt was sticking to his muscles.

Nova nodded. "I'd like that." She said and then looked up at the sky as it started to pour. She laughed and quickly put the blanket away running back out to meet the others and nodded as Lennox offered to let them go to her place. "That would be fun." She said and they all filed onto Cameron's car. Nova was really glad that Ryker wanted to try hanging out more. She rested back on the seat singing along quietly to the radio grinning feeling the alcohol really getting to her now.

Cameron sighed as she pulled away and laughed as the rain fell. He smirked as she kissed him in the rain the followed her back to everyone. Cameron had been over to Lennox's place so often that he knew her place as well as his. Cameron opened the door for Lennox then got into his own side. He started the car then drive them to Lennox's place. He parked and got out with them. It was still raining when they arrived and all huddled under the porch waiting for Leenox to open the door.

Ryker got out and walked onto the porch and smiled as Lennox unlocked the door. He walked in and turned on some of the lights. He was so use to being there it was comfortable. He sat on the couch and sighed.

Lennox smiled as she unlocked the door and walked in. She set her stuff and turned her lights on. She looked at them, "I will get us some towels." She said as she went to the bathroom. She grabbed the towels and brought them to everyone.

Nova thanked Lennox as she handed her a towel taking off her wet jacket and drying her hair and pants slipping out of her shoes. "Can I use your restroom?" She asked suddenly feeling like she was going to be sick. When Lennox pointed it out to her she headed over there closing the door and let herself be sick. She pulled her hair to the side as she sat beside the toilet not sure if she was going to be sick again. She hated that she got sick but she hadn't really eaten anything today to help with the alcohol.

Cameron pulled his shirt off and pulled off his shoes using the towel to dry off. He looked over at Lennox and smiled. She was so cute all wet and red nosed. He set the towel down and sat down on it. "Shall we put on a movie?" He asked and watched as Nova headed to the bathroom looking green. She was so tiny he was surprised she had drank so much and was only now just getting sick.

Ryker watched as Nova walked off then looked at his friends. After a few moments he walked to the bathroom and knocked, "You okay Nova?" He asked as he started to open the door. He found her on the floor, "Hey you want a water?" He asked her.

Lennox smiled, "Sure, pick something." She said offering him the remote. "I am going to get changed out of these wet clothes." She said. She walked to her room and got dressed. She walked downstairs, drying her hair. She sat down next to Cameron and looked at him. "So what are we watching?" She asked.

Nova looked up at him and nodded turning back to the toilet and throwing up again. She groaned and shook her head. "I'm sorry." She mubled and ran her hand through her hair. She groaned and sat back again thanking Ryker as he be out in her water. She slowly took a sip and sighed as it hit her stomach. "I should have ate more." She said and looked at him blushing before rolling back to the top it and throwing up again. She sighed finally feeling like her stomach was empty.

Cameron picked something out and put it on looking up as Lennox came back looking all cozy. He smiled and put his arm around her. "The Goonies." He said and pulled the blanket over them. "Do you ever think about why people are the way they are?" He asked wondering what Nova had been through to make her wild and detached. He understood Ryker and Lennox but not Nova. She was odd to him and he hoped whatever it was that his friend could help her through it.

Ryker walked in and shut the door, "Its alright. I think you are right about eating more though." He said as he held her hair back. "You know if you want to lay down there is a guest room here. Or you can watch a movie with us if you feel up to it." He explained. He knew he hated to get sick.

Lennox smiled as she relaxed against him, "You always pick that movie. Im going to take your choosing power away if you keep this up." She said. She rested her head on his shoulder, "I dont know i guess the events in everyones life kind of molds them into different people." She said as she held his hand under the blanket.
