Lyla bit her lip as she watched the police invade her school again and drag people out of it in handcuffs. Everything felt very surreal at that moment. She didn't know how to respond, and she was even more confused when an announcement was made that all students at Southside High were being transferred because they were shutting the school down. While the school being shut down could mean a multitude of things and even be because of a multitude of things, things just weren't adding up. And while she was extremely happy on the inside that she was getting the chance to go to an actual school that wasn't falling apart, where she could actually get an education, this meant that things in their town were changing, and she wasn't sure she liked it.

"So I guess this means we'll be going to Riverdale high now," she said aloud for the first time almost shocking herself honestly. "How are you feeling about that Jug?" She asked him as she slipped her arm into his own and intertwined their fingers. She knew that he probably had a lot of feelings about it actually, and he likely had some crazy conspiracy about the whole thing, which she'd be happy to listen to.

Archie wasn't sure how to handle the news when he'd heard that they were transferring all of the southside students to new schools and that the majority of them would be going to Riverdale high. It didn't make sense to him. Though he was still confused a little as to why they were even closing Southside High. He supposed at least this meant that Jughead would be coming back to school with him. Though with how weird things had been with him and Jug, and then Betty and Jug as well Archie wasn't even sure if that was such a good thing. Really, he'd caught wind that Jug was dating some new redheaded girl he'd met in the serpents, which was both shocking and not at the same time.

"Okay so we're just getting all the new students," Betty said running up to Archie when she'd spotted him in the hallways.

"The southside high kids? I know I heard last night,"

"Yes them, but Principle Weatherbe told me we're getting another transfer from Greendale as well. Her name's Sabrina and she like just moved here with her aunts or something like that," Betty told him not inquiring about Jughead and his new girlfriend at all. Though Archie could easily tell she wanted to.

Jughead walked with Lyla, deep in thought. It was crazy that his school was closing down. He figured it was bought out for something. First the drive in and now the school, it was like they were trying to erase the southside from Riverdale. The only good thing about going back to Riverdale was seeing his best friend Archie everyday like he used too but it also meant running into his ex Betty. His thoughts were interrupted when Lyla spoke. “Yeah guess so” he said softly, feeling mixed feelings about it. He wasn’t sure how to answer her next question. “I am feeling mixed. I mean the Drive-in and now the high school. It seems they are trying to wipe us out” he said. He kept their fingers laced together as cops pushed them out of the school. Normally, he would fight back but Lyla kept him calm and he knew that going to juvey wouldn’t help matters. He needed to be here with his friends and family. “I am sure this has Lodges’ name written all over it” he said as he walked with his beautiful girlfriend.

Sabrina made her way into Riverdale High. This was going to be an interesting experience since she had to leave the home she grew up in because of an incident that happened. She was a powerful witch but things still came after her and her aunts felt like it would be best if they moved to a different town. She felt eyes on her as she walked down the halls with her schedule and her notebooks. Finally, she reached the end of the hallway where she saw a very handsome redhead who was wearing a letterman’s jacket. She knew the blonde was talking about her, figuring that she was Betty Cooper, the person they told her to find. “Hello, I am Sabrina Spellman” she said with a sweet smile towards Archie before turning to Betty. “You must be Betty. Its very nice to meet you” she said with a smile. She felt more eyes on her as she stood with Betty and the handsome redhead. “do you have a name?” she asked Archie playfully.

Lyla knew that Jughead would have some crazy idea about the Lodge's being behind the whole thing, not that she thought he was wrong, though she wasn't sure it made sense either. "Do you really think Hiram Lodge is behind all of this?" She asked him wondering how right he was about it though. "I mean why would he want to buy the Southside? What could he possibly be planning that would require a Drive-In and a gross high school?" She added actually wondering what his plan would even be because it really didn't make much sense to her at all.

"Either way, I'm totally down to do a little digging around if need be," she told him as she was totally willing to help him out. Lyla might've thought that it was weird, she supported her boyfriend through it all. Not to mention she hated the thought that someone was actually trying to wipe the serpents out. That wasn't something she'd stand for, and it was something that Lyla would go to a lot of lengths to protect.

Archie smiled at Sabrina, this wasn't who he'd been expecting as the new student, but Archie was not complaining one bit because this girl was gorgeous and that was kind of his weakness. It might've been stupid, but it was actually an issue with him. "I'm Archie," he said running his fingers through his hair. "It's really nice to meet you," he told her finally holding his hand out for her to shake.

"I'm sure you're really going to love it here, and Betty. She's pretty amazing," he told Sabrina knowing that people were always super lucky when Betty was the one showing them around, mostly because Betty was super sweet and good at making people feel welcomed. Though he did wonder how Betty was going to take all the serpents coming to school now though, mostly since that mean Jughead would be back, as would his girlfriend, who none of them had met yet. Archie knew what the girl looked like though because Jug had sent him a couple of pictures. He just hadn't told Betty, because the last thing Archie wanted to do was make her feel bad by telling her that her Ex and his Best friend had a totally hot girlfriend.

Jughead nodded when she asked if he thought if Hiram was behind the whole thing. “Yes I really do. They are trying to wipe us out Lyla” he said, gently squeezing her hand. He was so happy that he found Lyla. Serpents were his family and he was going to do whatever it took to protect his family. “Who knows. All I know this feels off and I don’t like it” he said. The one thing that he was thankful for was that Pops was still around. He hoped that the Lodges wouldn’t get their grimy hands on his favorite place to go to. That’s where he hung out with friends and where he did the most of his writing. A smile appeared on his face when Lyla said that she wasn’t opposed to some digging. “I don’t know what I would do without you” he said as he walked with her. They finally reached Riverdale High. “Ready babe?” he asked as he kissed her softly, not really knowing what was waiting behind the doors. Of course he had friends at this school but he knew how a lot of the north siders saw south siders, they saw them as lesser.

Sabrina smiled at him. “It’s very nice to meet you too” she said as she shook his hand. Maybe Riverdale wasn’t going to be so bad after all. “I am sure I will and I have heard she is” she said as her smile grew. The school warning bell rang before the first period, meaning to head to class. She heard Betty say something about needing to head to class. “See you around Archie” Sabrina said with a wink before walking away with Betty who gave her a quick tour before walking her to her first class which was homeroom. She felt eyes on her as she walked to the back of the class and sat down.

Lyla nodded her head and gave Jughead's hand a squeeze of her own when he asked her if she was ready. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be," she told him not sure what fate awaited them on the other side of the double doors but she knew they'd make it through okay as long as they stuck together. It was easy to tell when they walked in that Riverdale high was much nicer than SSH, but most people already knew that. "I already feel very out of place," she whispered to him feeling already like she was being judged. Though it was easy to feel the judgement of people when they were all looking right at you as you walked down the hall. This was going to take a while to get used to. At least Lyla knew she wouldn't get lost or fall in with the wrong crowd with Jug by her side.

Archie smiled at Sabria and couldn't help his cheeks from flushing a little when she'd winked at him. Girls were his weakness for sure, and he felt like he was good with girls, but there was something very different about Sabrina. For starters she was flirting with him very obviously, second he actually felt like he'd felt a spark or something when she shook his hand and that wasn't a normal feeling. But he quickly brushed it off and started to head to class so he wasn't late, and on the way he spotted Jughead and who he was assuming was the girlfriend Lyla. "Hey guys! I didn't realize you were already here," he said mostly to Jughead. He'd wanted to mention that Betty was busy showing someone else new around so she probably wouldn't have time to show them around, but he knew that Betty was a touchy subject for Jug and vice versa.
