Take a sip of my secret potion
I'll make you fall in love
For a spell that can't be broken
    One drop should be enough
    Boy, you belong to me
    I got the recipe
    And it's called black magic
    (And it's called black magic)

Primrose watched as Michael and Luke entered the library of the college, biting her lip as she nudged Laurel under the table with her foot, quietly hinting to them with a subtle nod of the head. It was no secret between the friends that they were crushing, badly, on the boys they'd known for so long - who barely took notice of them in return. It was no fleeting crush either, the girls had it bad since high school, and Primrose was beginning to think that luck would never be on their side.

Luke grabbed the book relevant he needed for the subject he was studying for, sitting at the free table as he threw his phone on the table, completely frustrated and annoyed. Opening the book, Luke stared at the page he needed to memorise, not even absorbing a single letter as Michael sat next to him with his own book. "Man, she's pissed me off." He murmured to Michael, referring to his (now ex) girlfriend.

Laurel blinked when she felt Primrose nudge her and she followed her friend's gaze, her heart swelling and sinking at the same time when she caught sight of Luke. With all the years that had passed since her crush on Luke had formed, she knew her crush was a hopeless cause at this point, but it wouldn't make the feelings stop. In fact, they only continued to grow each time she saw him. Dropping her gaze, she sighed. “This sucks,” she whispered to her friend.

Michael sat down next to Luke, sinking in his seat as he scrubbed at his face tiredly but he pulled out his textbook, anyways. He could never study in his dorm, the noise too much, so he spent a lot of time studying in the library instead. Looking to his friend when he heard him speaking, he arched a brow with curiosity. “What's she doing this time?” he asked with curiosity, though he had his own problems with his ex, who, while she'd broken up with him, still blew up his phone constantly.

"Being a bitch." Luke grouched miserably. "Saying that, when was she never a bitch?" Luke frowned, pushing his hair from his face. He was glad that he had broken up with Shay, he was, but the fact she was texting him every moment of every day with pointless texts and abuse was driving Luke up the wall. All he wanted was to move on, and yet, he still felt trapped under Shay's thumb. "I see your phone is just as bad." He commented.

Primrose watched as Michael and Luke sat down, tearing her gaze away quickly to avoid being caught. Seeing Michael's face was such a rush, Primrose even wondered if it was considered normal at this point, to have a crush on someone for so long. She knew that Michael was popular, something Primrose had never considered herself to be, but if she could somehow capture Michael's attention - and keep it - she would do anything to make him happy. "We need a love potion." She commented, flipping through her own book.

Michael shrugged slightly in response. “You’ve got a point there,” he agreed lightly, sympathetic for his friend, but he leaned over his book to study a bit. Hearing Luke’s words, though, he nodded. “Yeah. Lisa’s driving me crazy, blowing up my phone.” He snorted quietly with the thought. “You’d think she would have stopped that after breaking up with me, but nope.”

Laurel offered an amused smile in response to her friend’s words, though it took her a few moments to respond, too focused on watching Luke. Breathing out, she dropped her gaze, settling it on her book as she nodded slightly. “Wouldn’t that be something?” she joked lightly, chewing on her lip. “But, I’m pretty sure something like that wouldn’t exist.”

Luke pulled a face with the mention of Lisa, not meaning to, but having never liked the girl. "Man, we sure know how to pick 'em." Luke murmured, focusing on the pages he'd opened his book to, rolling his eyes at the thought. "Why can't we just find decent girlfriends, that aren't completely hellbent on being paranoid?"

Primrose grinned with Laurel's words. "You could always look it up." She suggested. Although Primrose's logical side was telling her that no such thing existed, Primrose just wanted to lighten the mood and focus on something other than Michael's presence. "It would be something really dumb. Like vanilla essence and strawberries." She teased.

Michael shook his head with the mention of it. “I'm convinced somebody like that doesn't exist,” he admitted, running a hand through his hair with slight frustration and he sighed quietly. “If a girl like that did exist, it'd be a miracle at this point.”

Laurel hummed in response. “Online or see if there's some weird book?” she joked lightly, figuring there wasn't much of a harm in joking about it, at the very least. She made a face, though. “Or rose incense. Flower of love, right?” She laughed, unable to help it.

"Amen to that," Luke grouched, rubbing his face in frustration, but tried to concentrate on his studies, knowing his upcoming exams were important, despite the fact that Luke was very seriously considering dropping out at this point. "Dammit, I can't even concentrate." He complained, slamming his book shut.

Primrose grinned, standing to her feet to head to the 'fantasy' section, almost pausing when she realised she had to pass Luke and Michael. Still, they seemed distracted enough, and she passed them, searching through the books to find one about old Wiccan spells. Grinning to herself, Primrose grabbed it, returning to her table and setting it down. "Thank God I'm a History major."

Michael sighed out quietly, shaking his head in response to his friend. “We should find some way to distract ourselves,” he suggested; the problem was that he didn't even know where to start, especially with the fact that the calls were still coming in.

Laurel blinked, watching her friend, though she offered an amused look an arched a brow. “Alright, let's get started on researching, then,” she joked lightly, leaning forward so that she could start looking through the book with Primrose.

Luke nodded with Michael's words, even though he didn't know how to distract himself from the constant buzzing of his phone. Grabbing the device, Luke stuffed it into his pocket, the whole scenario leaving a bitter taste in his mouth, because it was really starting to piss him off. "Alright," he nodded again. "You name it, I'm down." He grinned. "People watching? That's always fun." He suggested.

Primrose laughed at Laurel, shaking her head in amusement. "Oh man, I'm looking forward to this." She bit her lip, opening the page and flicking through to the table of contents. Scanning the page quickly, Primrose grinned. "A-ha." She smirked, flipping quickly to page 394. "Love potions." She slid the book to Laurel, not taking it seriously - although the potion itself wasn't complex, but there was no chance it would actually work.

Michael chuckled quietly, leaning back in his seat as he watched his friend, noticing how annoyed he seemed, but he understood. “Sure, we can people watch,” he decided with a nod, “It’ll give us a break from… Everything else.” And he honestly felt like they both deserved that at this point - it was getting hard to just relax with everything going on.

Laurel grinned slightly, unable to help it, though she arched a brow. “Well, this should be fun,” she joked lightly, though she honestly doubted that it would actually work. It was just for fun, it would give them something to do, distract them from their lack of love lives. “Do we need to go get anything to get started on it?”

"Hey, how else are we gonna find cute girls?" Luke retorted, wiggling his eyebrows in an over dramatic fashion. Leaning back into his chair and slamming his book shut, Luke looked around, his gaze falling on a girl he was certain he knew - Lauren? Laurel? He'd never really taken notice of her before, but she was pretty enough. "She's not bad." But just as Luke had spoken those words, his girlfriend entered the library. "Shit, Mikey, we gotta go."

Primrose grinned with Laurel's words. "The only thing we need to get is vanilla extract and rose petals, which is, you know, pretty simple, and maybe stereotypical?" She raised her eyebrows with amusement then, glancing at Michael once more, just as Luke's girlfriend came bursting into the library, ready to cause a scene. "Oh god, don't look now."

Michael offered an amused look and shrugged. “Well, we’ve both got girlfriends,” he reminded, though he blinked, looking over. “Well, go on, let’s go.” He stood up, though his eyes went to the girls Luke had looked towards, his eyes drinking in Primrose, but he quickly grabbed his things, heading towards the exit.

Laurel offered an amused look, arching a brow. “That… Sounds completely fake,” she said with a laugh, “Doesn’t sound mystical at all.” She blinked, though, looking towards the entrance, making a face when Luke’s girlfriend walked in.
