Mia ran a hand through her hair as she walked back in to the diner to finish her shift. Mia only had another two hours before she could go back and pick Ava up from her moms house. She walked in, seeing she had a few more tables, Mia made her way over and started taking orders. Recognizing a voice at a nearby table caused Mia to freeze in her spot. She knew that voice belonged to none other than Dean Winchester, which meant that Sam wouldn’t be far behind. To be honest, Mia had hoped that she would be able to avoid the entire situation. Taking a deep breath, Mia walked over to the table, “Hi, I’m Mia, what can I get you?” She wasn’t surprised to see that Sam was with Dean, “Dean, Sam, how have you been?”

Sam felt guilty about leaving Mia those 3 years ago but there was so much going on and he couldn’t bring her in it. He wa sin love with her and thought about her all the time. His attention was brought back when he heard Mia’s voice. “I have been okay what about you?” He asked. Mia looked beautiful as ever. He felt the feels for her swarming back along with the guilt.

Mia was trying to keep her cool as she spoke with Sam. “I’ve been pretty good, just keeping myself busy here.” She was finding it hard to keep eye contact with him, especially since her daughter had been blessed with the same beautiful eyes that Sam had. “Um, so what can I get you guys?” She turned her attention to Dean as he ordered first and then glanced at Sam. Once he ordered, Mia looked at him, “Are you guys in the area or just passing through?” She was wondering if she would have a chance to talk with Sam.

Sam watched her as he noticed that she couldn’t really look at him. He ordered his food before looking up at her again. “There is a case so we will be here a couple days” he said softly as he looked into her eyes. She was so beautiful and he regretted it everyday that he left her.

Mia mentally cursed herself for asking how long he’d be around, but she needed to know if there was going to be a chance of telling Sam about their daughter. Once she got their orders, she smiled softly, “I’ll get these right away, and maybe, if you have any free time we could catch up more.” She gave Sam another smile before walking back to the kitchen.

Sam smiled as he watched her. He noticed something was up with her but couldn’t put her finger on it. “Sounds good” he said sipping his water. His gaze followed her as she moved. He couldn’t help it, she was just as beautiful now as she was before.

Once she was out of Sam’s sight, Mia let out a sigh. It was difficult for her to hold her composure when she was around Sam. It didn’t take long for their food to be done, Mia grabbed their plates and took the food to their table, “If you need anything else, just let me know.” She smiled before going to serve her other tables.

Sam talked with his brother and was about to say something before she walked away again. He had missed her so much. He thought about her everyday. This was hard and hoped he could spend time with her.

Mia came back to their table when they were finished with their food. She cleared the table for them before turning her attention to Sam, “If you have time, my shift is over in about ten minutes, we could catch up...” As much as Mia hated it, she knew she would have to figure out the best way to tell Sam about their daughter.

Sam continued to eat until he was finished. He was surprised when Mia suggested that they catch up. “Sounds good to me” he said with a soft smile on his face. He could tell that there was something that she was holding back from him.

Mia gave him a smile before she walked away to finish her shift. Ten minutes later, Mia punched out and grabbed her jacket and purse before walking back to the front to see Sam still there. Mia walked over to him, “Why don’t we go somewhere else to talk?” Of course, she was sure if it got too late, her phone would be ringing off the hook. Right now, she was trying to focus on explaining things to Sam.

Sam said goodbye to Dean and waited for Mia in the front of the restaurant. “Sounds good” he said with a smile before getting up. He then followed her out of the Restaraunt, wondering what was going on. “Is everything okay?” He then asked softly.

Once they were outside, Mia turned to look at him, “I have to tell you something, I don’t know how you’re going to react.” She took a deep breath before continuing, “I have a daughter, she’s two.” Mia’s eyes met Sam’s, “She is your daughter too.”

Sam watched her as he waited for what she had to tell him. He froze when he heard that he had a daughter. He wasn’t angry just in shock. His job wasn’t normal and he figured he would never have a normal healthy life, let alone children. He didn’t blame her for not telling him. “Is okay if I meet her?” He then asked her.

Mia nodded when he asked about meeting their daughter. She looked over at him, “Do you want to go now? She should be awake.” Mia held her keys in her hand as she waited for Sam.

Sam smiled softly. “Yes” he said before following her to her car. He was nervous and hoped his daughter would like him. Man it was crazy to think that he had a kid. Someone who thought that would never happen due to his lifestyle.

Mia drove to her house and got out, making her way to the front door. She knew Sam wouldn’t be far behind as she unlocked the door and stepped inside. “Mommy!” Harper came running around the corner and hugged Mia tightly. Seeing the babysitter, Nicole, Mia looked at Harper, “Tell Nicole bye.” Mia smiled as Harper ran over to hug Nicole. Looking back at Sam, Mia spoke, “Are you okay?”
