“I’ll be here” Sam said as he watched her goto the dresser and then goto bathroom. He slipped off his jeans before slipping off his shirt. Once she came back out and got in bed, Sam laid next to her. He gently grabbed her hand, wanting to hold her but unsure if she would allow him too

Mia smiled slightly as she laid next to Sam, feeling him grab her hand, she hesitated before moving closer to him. It had been so long and she had missed Sam so she figured it wouldn’t hurt as she cuddled up next to him. For the first time in a long time, Mia was feeling happy, “Good night Sam.”

Sam smiled as Mia cuddled him. He gently wrapped around an arm around her. “Night Mia” he said kissing her head. He began to rub her back as he held her close to him, closing his eyes

Mia relaxed as Sam rubbed her back, it wasn’t long before she fell asleep. The next morning, Mia woke up to Harper shaking her arm, “Mama...” Mia opened her eyes slowly and yawned before carefully moving out of Sam’s arms. She stretched before following Harper out of the bedroom and down to the kitchen to start breakfast.

Sam fell asleep shortly after her. He stirred when Mia got up but continued to sleep for a few mins before waking up and going downstairs. “Morning my beautiful ladies” he said happily. “Is there anything I can help with?” He then asked.

Mia was in the middle of cooking eggs when Sam walked into the kitchen. Harper sat her cup on the counter before running over to Sam, “Morning daddy!” She held her arms out for him to pick her up. Mia couldn’t help smiling before turning her attention back to the food, “I think we’ve got it right now, would you like some coffee?”

Sam smiled when Harper ran to him. He picked her up. “I would love some” he said before walking over to the table with Harper and sitting down. “Did you sleep good” he asked Harper, playing with her hair.

Mia opened the cupboard and grabbed a coffee cup. Once it was filled, she sat it on the counter for Sam, “There ya go.” Mia took the eggs off the stove and got the plates and silverware out for them, “I put the bacon in the microwave to keep it warm.” Harper nodded, smiling at him, “I slept good, and I stayed in my bed all night!” She giggled.

Sam smiled and kissed Harper’s head. “That’s good. Let’s eat” he said before helping her down off his lap. He then walked over to Mia. “Thanks for breakfast” he said kissing her cheek before grabbing his coffee and then making his plate. Once his plate was made, he helped Harper with her plate.

Mia smiled as she sat down at the table, watching Sam help Harper with her plate. Just seeing the two of them together made Mia’s heart soar. Harper crawled up onto the chair next to Mia and smiled at Sam as he sat her plate in front of her, “Thank you, dad.” She said before starting to eat her breakfast.
