Allison murmured a weak 'amen' as grace was said before dinner, beginning to eat as her Father did, always following by his example. Still, Allison wondered if one day, she and her sister would ever be allowed any kind of freedom, away from Christianity, any kind of excitement at all, beyond their garden fence. Still, she was quite content with her life, she couldn't complain and say it was bad, it was just boring, but it was a life where she was loved, sheltered, and that's all she could ask for.
Luke looked to Michael with a grin as he laid back on Michael's bed jokingly. "I owe your parents my life for letting me stay." He told him, staring at the ceiling as they'd finally finished moving into the new house. It was much bigger - roomier, even - than the old house, and Luke was grateful to the Clifford's for letting him stay in the first place, nevermind letting him have his own room in their new house. Wondering how he'd ever be able to pay them back, Luke looked to Michael. "So what's there to do for fun around here?"
