    Don't need permission
Made my decision to test my limits
    'Cause it's my business
    God as my witness
    Start what I finished
    Don't need no hold up
Taking control of this kind of moment
    I'm locked and loaded
Completely focused my mind is open

Allison murmured a weak 'amen' as grace was said before dinner, beginning to eat as her Father did, always following by his example. Still, Allison wondered if one day, she and her sister would ever be allowed any kind of freedom, away from Christianity, any kind of excitement at all, beyond their garden fence. Still, she was quite content with her life, she couldn't complain and say it was bad, it was just boring, but it was a life where she was loved, sheltered, and that's all she could ask for.

Luke looked to Michael with a grin as he laid back on Michael's bed jokingly. "I owe your parents my life for letting me stay." He told him, staring at the ceiling as they'd finally finished moving into the new house. It was much bigger - roomier, even - than the old house, and Luke was grateful to the Clifford's for letting him stay in the first place, nevermind letting him have his own room in their new house. Wondering how he'd ever be able to pay them back, Luke looked to Michael. "So what's there to do for fun around here?"

Nadia watched her family quietly once their 'amens’ were said, her gaze going to Allison as she offered a weak smile. Every day was the same, never changing, and it was just so dull at this point. Ducking her head, she focused on eating quietly, finding conversation difficult - though even the conversations were almost always the same, too.

Michael grabbed his pillow, throwing it at Luke's face with amusement. “You're just lucky they like you,” he joked lightly before he shifted to sit on the edge of the bed to relax, though he shrugged. “There's the beach, obviously. Not far. There are neighborhood parties. Bars, clubs, you name it, we can probably find it nearby.”

Allison offered Nadia a weak smile in return, knowing her sister felt exactly the same way she did. Still, she ate her dinner in silence, looking to her parents. "Can we go to the beach after dinner, maybe take Ichor for a walk?" She looked to their English bulldog, who was lazing around happily on his bed.

Luke smirked, grabbing the pillow Michael had thrown at him and throwing it straight back. "They like me more than they like you." He teased. Thinking about Michael's words, Luke thought. "Maybe the beach would be cool?" He suggested. "Gives us a chance to meet new people who don't know we're assholes yet." He teased.

Nadia looked over when she heard Allison's request and she chewed on her lip while they waited for an answer. Once they were given the okay, Nadia stood up. “Alright, let's go,” she told her sister with a small smile, eager to get out of there.

Michael made a face as he caught the pillow but he laughed quietly. “Don't be silly. We both know you're wrong,” he joked lightly, though he thought about the suggestion for a moment. “You know what? Sure, why not. Might as well go explore a bit, enjoy the sun.” He grinned.

Allison smiled as their parents agreed, and she grabbed Ichor's lead, looking to the dog. "Come here, you." She told him happily, eager to hurry up and get out of that house. There was always an odd sense of tension lingering around the family, especially as the girls grew into proper young women who held their own beliefs. Shrugging on her jacket, Allison looked to Nadia. "C'mon." She grinned, leading the way out. The beach wasn't far from the house, easily within a ten minute walking distance. "Last one there has to eat broccoli."

"Me? Wrong?" Luke teased, biting his lip in amusement. "I've never heard that word in my life." He snorted with his own comeback, amused by the whole conversation, shaking his head with the thought, but when he saw Michael thinking, Luke smirked further. "Don't hurt yourself." He quipped easily, but grinned as Michael agreed. "Damn right." He sat up. "It's late afternoon too, so it should be quiet." He pointed out, running a hand through his hair as he stood to his feet.

Nadia blinked with Allison’s words, though she laughed slightly. “Are you sure that’s a good idea?” she asked, “Whoever walks Ichor there has a disadvantage, after all.” She arched a brow, watching her sister with curiosity.

Michael couldn’t help but laugh in response. “That so?” he asked with amusement, “Weird, considering you’re often wrong.” He arched a brow but shrugged and shifted to stand up, motioning Luke ahead. “Let’s get going, then.”

Allison looked to her sister with amusement. "Nad, it's totally a good idea." She nodded. "And Ichor can be used as a horse, if need be. Fast transportation, and all." Allison grinned. "Speaking of, would you like to hold his leash?" Allison offered the leash to her sister then, hoping she'd accept so she could take off into a head start. "I'm just glad to get out of that house."

Luke couldn't help but pout with Michael's words. "You're a shit head, mate." Luke complained, slipping on his shoes with an almost strange excitement. Luke wanted freedom, to taste the fresh air, because just being cooped up for a few hours was driving Luke crazy. As Michael motioned him ahead though, Luke did the I'm watching you motion at him, walking ahead. "Petunia!"

Nadia smiled slightly as she listened to Allison and she nodded slightly as she took the leash as they walked. “Yeah, I know what you mean,” she murmured, breathing out quietly as she stared ahead, “It gets so stuffy in there sometimes…”

Michael grinned broadly, unable to help it. “So are you,” he said easily, “It’s why we’re best friends.” He laughed as they walked, stuffing his hands in his pocket, opening the door to lead the way out of the house, but he waited for Luke, since Luke was getting Petunia.
