Feeling Tempted

Brian watched as she got dressed, before offering her a soft smile. "I'm fine." He told her, before chuckling. She picked up on his change of emotions, he'd have to remember to be indifferent. "I guess I was expecting things to be like old times." He said scratching the back of his head. "I haven't seen you in a while and guess I just wanted to hang out." He knew it wasn't all the truth. But it was the only one he was going to tell her.

Skylar made it back to the dorm, before grabbing Casey's tablet and her notebook. She headed to her room to start moving writing down the notes she'd failed to get the night before. It wasn't what she wanted to do but she knew she wouldn't be able to go out and drink any time soon. After a bit she started to get tired, setting aside her notes she grabbed her phone before looking at the missed messages she had. There was one from her mother telling her to have a good day. But the one that stood out was Zacky's. I keep telling you Zacky I don't need a tutor. She thought about it for a minute wondering why he was so set on helping her now that he knew she'd been sick and not skipping.

Mina smiled at him, then nodded. "We can hang out if you want." She said. She kissed him softly then hugged him. "We could watch a movie or something." She said as she rested her head on his chest. She looked up at him, then rubbed his sides.

Zacky sighed as he looked at the message. Fine, I will quit offering. If you need anything let me know. Even if it is just to talk. I'm sorry to upset you. He walked into his apartment and noticed Brian wasn't there. He laid back on the couch, turning on the tv.

Brian smiled at her offer, before letting it falter lightly. He wasn't sure any more. "You sure, didn't you just say your room mates would be home soon?" He knew she didn't want to give them the wrong idea. But he knew that his heart was already taking a hit. She kissed and touched him like they were dating. But never wanted any thing more than sex from him. It hurt him to know that she'd never want him more that just filling her needs.

Skylar looked over the message he sent her. She couldn't understand why he was so persistent on trying to be there for her. It wasn't like he owed her anything. If any thing she owed him, but he was trying to be there for her even just to talk. You know if you like a girl you should just ask her out, and not bug her so much with useless chatter. She sent him back, she was just teasing him knowing that whatever was going on in his head wasn't that he liked her. If anything he was hoping for a quick and easy lay. But he was barking up the wrong tree.

Mina nodded, "Yea I am sure. We could watch a movie or something. If they don't come then we are lucky. Maybe they went to do something else." She said. She sat down on the bed, then patted the spot next to her. "I will even let you pick the movie." She said as she handed him the remote. She knew that he wouldn't leave her because he liked her so much.

Zacky smirked as he looked at the text, You're right. Why don't we go to dinner some time? He did think she was a cute girl and he hadn't been with anyone in a long time. He mostly just focused on school and other thing. Like spending his money. Zacky stared at the tv in front of him as the news played on it. He wasn't really a big of the news.

Brian nodded before taking the spot next to her on her bed. He wasn't sure how he should act around her friends. Honestly he hoped that they didn't come back for a while giving them time to themselves. Honestly if he wasn't sure of the rejections he'd actually ask her out. Feeling a vibration in his pocket he fished out his phone before noticing a text from his girlfriend. It that wasn't a punch in the gut he didn't know, ignoring it he shoved it back into his pocket not wanting to deal with her right now. Looking at the remote he took it flipping through the channels. "I hate commercials." He comment before handing her the remote. "You pick." It never failed when he flipped through channels all he got was commercials.

Skylar picked her phone up before letting out a soft laugh as she read over his text. She'd just been joking about him actually asking her out. But she couldn't believe he'd actually did it over text. Do I seem like the kind of girl that you ask out over text? She texted him, feeling a bit offended but flatter at the same time. She knew that he'd had his choice of taking girls out but chose to throw himself into his tutoring. So him asking her was a bit flattering.

Mina took the remote from him and found something to watch. She settled on a scary movie then laid back on the bed. She watched as he looked at his phone, noticing the way his face changed. "What's wrong? Is it your wonderful girlfriend?" She teased him. She had been texting him behind her back for a long time. Mina grabbed his hand and pulled him down next to her. She kissed him softly, then moved so her body was closer to his.

Zacky sighed as he looked at the text, I mean, we could always consider this a test run? Since you seem to hate my guts and all. We could just consider it a casual outing. We can go where ever you would like to go. Zacky sent the message then looked at the tv. Maybe she really didn't like him and he was just being an idiot. Brian had always been better with girl. He sighed as he stared down at his phone. He hadn't had an actually girlfriend since high school and very few hookups. He just didn't feel that connection with anyone.

Brian looked at her smiling as she placed a kiss to his lips. "Nothing." He told her, knowing it wasn't the truth. He just knew that finding a girlfriend that he actually cared about wasn't going to ever happen. The girl he cared about was right next to him, and she didn't do commitment. It was one of the reason why sex was the only thing he ever pushed for. Yeah he did expect her to give him some of her time, only because they'd been friends before ever fucking. He knew he wasn't going to respond to her about his girlfriend texting him. It had always kill any mood and pushed them further apart.

Skylar was a bit surprised by the push back she got from her refusal. Blinking at his message, she figured it wouldn't hurt but at the same time even if they didn't work towards dating she'd gain a new friend. Even though she treated him like she didn't like him it was just her way of getting to know the real person before her. Normally when someone was teased or talked down to their true colors show. And from what she learned about Zacky was he wasn't trying to impress her and just being real. She like that and also enjoyed their witty banter. Okay, causal She agreed, knowing that nothing was wrong with a test run.

Mina smiled when he said it was nothing. She rested her head on his chest as she watched the movie with him. She really did miss being with him. He was a good guy, but she feared getting into something serious. She didn't want to lose him. If they broke up then Brian would just be gone and out of her life. She looked at his hand before lacing her fingers with his. "I really did miss you Brian." She said.

Zacky was actually shocked when she agreed to actually go out with him. A grin came to his face as he looked at her name on his phone. Alright, where would you like to go? He figured since it was casual they could go down by the beach at the pier or something. He would let her choose though. He wanted to make sure that he had a good time.

Brian smiled down at their intertwined fingers. Things like this always gave him hope she wanted more than just sex from him. No one could be heartless and not want love. He knew that she felt his care and love for her. Honestly she'd known about it since they were little. But actually letting someone come in and love you, letting all your walls down was harder for some people. And he knew she was scared of being hurt. He knew he'd done his share of hurting her but it'd never pushed her to the point of leaving. "Yeah, I missed you too kido." He teased her, knowing that it was something he only called her in front of Zacky. It was something to keep him from thinking anything sexual was going on between the two.

Skylar nibbled on her lip, thinking it over. She wasn't sure where she'd want to go on a date. She'd never really gotten out and about here, the hospital was the only place she'd ever visited and it was still hard for her to remember where it was. Surprise me. She knew she was asking for some run down burger joint but it would be one of the best places a guys taken her before. Since her dating life was shit, guys called themselves her boy friend but never did they feel the need to take her on a date. Like ever. Though the more she thought about it the more she couldn't help but get nervous.

Mina smacked him lightly on the chest, "Don't call me that." She said, shaking her head, laughing. She hated when he called her that. When they were with Zacky and he said that it made her feel like he seen her as just some kid. She pouted slightly, "I hate when you do that." She said as she rested her head on his chest. She worried about Zacky finding out about them though. She didn't want to have to deal with that at all. He would probably be pissed at Brian and her for quite awhile.

Zacky shook his head when she sent him a message that said to surprise her, Okay, wear something nice. He had the perfect place to take her to eat. It had been one of his favorites and he hadn't been there in a very long time. He sighed as he laid back on the couch. He wondered where Brian had ran off to. It was odd that he hadn't come home yet. He was probably out with his girlfriend though. Sometimes he didn't come home at all.

Brian couldn't help but let out a laugh as she hit his chest. "Ack, sorry." He teased, knowing that he wasn't even close to being sorry. He loved to tease her and make her squirm. "Do what?" He asked not sure what he did to up set her though. He couldn't help but smirk at the pout on her lips. He loved when she got all playful and really enjoyed times like this.

Skylar looked at the text before rereading it. I thought we agreed on casual? What did he mean by wear something nice. She didn't even know if she own anything nice. She might have some dollar store black dress some where but it wasn't her definition of nice. Nibbling on her lip she got off her bed and started digging through her clothes.

Mina shook her head, "You called me kiddo and you know that I hate that." She said as she kissed his cheek. "I swear you do it just to bug me." She said. She watched the movie then closed her eyes. Sound of his heart beat lulled her to sleep. She held onto him, her grip on his shirt easing as she snored quietly.

Zacky chuckled, I got a restaurant I want to take you to. They have amazing food. He got up from the couch then went to his bedroom to ready for bed.

[Do you want to skip? Maybe like Mina is at Brian's place because Zacky is going to be out all night. Then we can skip to the date XD]

Brian couldn't help the smile that pulled at his lips, opening the door to his room he greeted Mina. "Come on in." He told her, smirking as this was the first time she was entering his place. Even though he'd not done much tiding up, only because he didn't want Zacky to know anything was up. He'd still made the place presentable and able to house guest. "Bring the refreshments?" He asked teasingly, knowing he didn't see any beer in her hands.

Skylar, paced the floor of her dorm. Zacky was suppose to be here any minute. Normally she wouldn't be this nervous about meeting up with someone seeing as it was just causal. But after finding an outfit and putting on her make up and actually giving a fuck on how she looked she was now nervous. He'd said casual then said dress nice. She wasn't sure if it her outfit meet either standards or if she was just being to paranoid.

Mina smiled as Brian opened the door. She had went to eat with her friends and then decided to come see Brian. She walked inside, "I mean you are the host." She teased him. She waited for him to shut the door, then sat down on his couch. "So, how long is Zacky going to be gone?" She asked him. She was hoping they would have a lot of time together.

Zacky walked to Skylar's apartment and knocked on the door. He smiled as the door opened, "You ready?" He asked. Zacky walked with her, "So, let's head to the restaurant. We can take my car." He said. He walked out of her building unlocking the doors to his Lexus. He got in and started the car. "You will like this place." He said as he drove towards the boardwalk. He parked in the parking lot before he got out. He walked towards the restaurant with him, "You will like this. It's one of the best places to eat." He said as he opened the door for her.

Brian smirked at her, "well now in some societies it's custom for the guest to bring the refreshment, you know like a bottle of wine, or a six pack of beer." He teased her, knowing the only time he'd ever done that was when his parents made him, or he wanted to impress a girls dad, which was never. "Uh he had a date." He said scratching his head, "so like five maybe ten minutes if she's not to bright." He teased his friend, just glad the dude managed to actually score a date. It had been months since the guy even mentioned a girls name.

Skylar breathed out a breath before opening the door. She wasn't surprised by the site, Zacky was after all Zacky. She knew that by judging from his attire she'd be just fine. Stepping out she closed and locked the door before following him down stairs to his car. "Sure." She said to him, like she could even afford one. Settling into his car she wasn't shocked to see the expensive car, he'd already ratted himself out on being rich. Though she didn't feel like this was a date. Almost like he wasn't even trying. But then again it had been so long since she'd been with someone that wasn't trying to sleep with her right off the bat that she'd forgotten what it was like to be pursued any other way. Once they reached the restaurant she stepped inside a bit surprised by the ambiance. It didn't really scream Zacky.

Mina laughed when he said that her brother had a date. "Yea right. You are funny Brian. Zacky can't get girls." She said, laughing some more. She shook her head then turned on their tv. She looked at him and realized he was serious. "Interesting. Do you know who she is?" She asked him. She knew she really shouldn't care, but it was odd for her brother to actually want to be with someone. It was very uncommon actually.

Zacky got them a table outside that looked over the ocean. "I hope you like this place. It is one of my favorites. It's a little fancy, but the food is amazing." He said, laughing a little. He hoped that he wasn't pissing her off. He hadn't been on a real date in so long and he knew he was probably going to fail at it. "How was your day?" He asked her. He wanted to compliment her and flirt, but he also knew that they were suppose to be keeping this casual.

Brian looked at Mina, he wasn't going to say anything because she was right Zacky couldn't pick up girls. Most of the times the girls only wanted him due to being desperate or drunk. Zacky was not in tuned with girls. "Seriously, I didn't believe it either." He said before sitting down on the couch. "He'd been rambling on all day about how he was finally going out with her, but she wanted it just casual. I didn't hear a name honestly I wasn't paying attention to anything he said. Until he said he was leaving for a date." He chuckled. "He put on his good shoes so I know he wasn't lying." He chuckled.

Skylar sat in the chair across from Zacky, before looking over the menu. He was right this place was fancy. She'd never be able to afford it till she was a doctor, or lawyer. She wasn't sure what she wanted to be, but right now she was trying to get into date mode. "It seems nice," she said knowing he'd said that same thing over a few times already. She'd not called him out on it before but she couldn't help it now. "You're not used to casual are you?" She chuckled looking at him. It was hard for some people to just let lose and deal with things as they happened.

Mina laughed when he said that her brother put on his good shoes. "What a loser." She said, giggling. Zacky was horrible with girls and he never had one around long. He always pissed them off because he was busy a lot. "I doubt it will last long." She said, shrugging. "What did you do today?" She asked him as she scooted closer to him on the couch. She smiled as she took his hand, looking at his fingers before turning her attention to him. She was honestly trying to dig to see if he spent any time with his girlfriend because she was a little jealous of him being with her. She liked to have Brian all to herself because she was selfish and she knew that.

Zacky looked at her when she asked her question, "I mean what do you consider casual?" He asked her. He took a sip of his water, then set his menu down. "I guess, I was just always told to take people nice places when you go out. Do you not like this?" He asked her. He knew it was hard not to like, but he also knew that she was different than other girls. He liked that about her though. She seemed to not care that he had money and that was something he had always been looking for.

Brian couldn't help but let out a laugh. "I would normally bet against you just to defend my friend. But I hate to say it I agree." He shook his head. He knew he'd have to tell Zacky that he'd wanted this to work he'd have to give up some of his time for this girl. But he couldn't give good dating advice beyond that, because anything else he said would make him a hypocrite. As don't cheat was a given, but Brian had never been faithful. And until the girl he wanted came around he'd always cheat. It was just what he did, just to keep her close. "Well I didn't get up till noon, then I had a couple of classes." He told her, "then I picked up a bit." He told her, not catching on to what she was fishing about. "What about you." Though he did feel a bit awkward talking about their days. It was never like this, unless she wanted to rant to him.

Skylar smiled before shaking her head. "No this is fine, Zack, really." She told him, stopping as the waiter arrived to taking their drink order. Then once he left she turned back to him. "I was just pointing it out, because you seem tense." She told him honestly. "Like your trying to hard." She added. "I mean I wouldn't be here if we didn't have something going for us." She wasn't going to tell him she liked him, because honestly she'd like their hateful banter. And was rather shocked that he'd wanted to date her. But it wasn't totally unexpected. "Just be yourself, you know the asshole, the one I met a school." She teased him.

Mina smiled, "Oh you know, just another boring day." She teased him. Mina looked at their hands as she thought about what she wanted to say. She wasn't good at just opening up to Brian. She mostly just hooked up with him and they went about their day. Mina leaned over and kissed him, moving so she was slowly crawling over his body. She deepened the kiss, her body pressing to his. She started to move her hand up his shirt and she heard someone knock on the door. Followed by the sound of some girl say Brian's name and she knew exactly who it was.

Zacky stared at her for a moment, "I'm sorry. I am not the outgoing one of the family." He teased. "That would be my sister and she is very out there." He said, laughing. He took a sip of his drink. "I will try my best to relax. Why don't you tell me something else about yourself." He asked. He decided what he wanted to be himself and maybe she wouldn't judge him like everyone else has his whole life. He looked out at the ocean then turned his attention back to her.
