Don't be fooled, I got you wrapped up
In the arms of an animal
Got you thinking that I'm all innocent
But wait 'till I get you home
If you don't baby you should know
I'm the one who's in control

Peaches had everything she'd ever wanted in life. She had the top of the range phone, beautiful clothes, she lived in a large house, beautifully proportioned, complete with a horse out in the stables and acres of land to explore. But if you asked her if that was the life she wanted to live, she would say no. Still, Pea lounged around on her bed, reading Girl, Interrupted for what seemed to be the millionth time when she heard a knock at her door. "Come in," she called lazily, lifting her head in time to see her father, dragging in a boy with blonde hair. Furrowing her eyebrows, Peaches put the pieces together. Oh no. "Dad, when I said entertainment, I thought, along the lines, of an X-Box..."

Luke struggled against the rope that bound his wrists together as he was dragged down the long hallway of an almost Victorian mansion. He was brought for the entertainment of one of the Royce children, and still, here he was, unsure of who would meet his gaze when he was introduced. Looking to the patriarch of the Royce family, Luke frowned, wanting to do anything he could to gain a chance at an escape, but having been welted six times in the back already, he decided it wasn't the wisest move, knowing he was a dangerous man and he could kill Luke if he so truly wanted.

Michael had been trying to get away from the man the whole time, trying hard to escape, only to have been punished each time, his back splattered with wounds from each punishment he received. While he'd been certain that the man had been wealthy, it wasn't until they'd arrived at the large house, complete with stables that he'd seen on the drive up, that he realized just how wealthy the man was. His brows furrowed, his eyes watching the cruel, awful man, and he froze when he spotted the door, feeling his heart sink with the thoughts of what could be awaiting him behind the doors. When a woman answered - an attractive one, he could admit, - he tensed, unsure of what exactly was going to happen.

“I thought this was much more fitting,” Peaches's father said with a small smirk as he held out the rope for Peaches. “Enjoy your gift.”

Elizabeth was sat at her window, her gaze taking in the scenery outside - the acres of land, the large, amazing garden, complete with a maze with a fountain in the center. Her room was larger than most people could dream of, her bathroom at least half as huge, the closet nearly the same size. Despite how grand everything was, though, it wasn't what she wanted, and it was boring. Her gaze went to the door, though, when she heard the knock, and she climbed off the window to go answer it, though she paused, frozen at the sight. “Oh, my God,” she breathed out in shock before she looked at her father, “You can't be serious. You did not seriously do this - this isn't what I was wanting, this is just cruel.”

Peaches frowned at her Father, but still approached the pair, looking at Michael sympathetically as she accepted the rope that bound the man's wrists. "Leave." She told her Father coldly, shaking her head as she watched the man turn on his heels and leave. Still, Peaches took a knife from her bedside table drawer, cutting the rope from Michael's wrists. "I'm so sorry about him," she spoke softly, trying to remain quiet, gentle, despite the anger she felt at her father coursing through her veins. "I'm Peaches, a lot of people just usually call me Pea." She told him with a soft smile. "What's your name?" Seeing the lashes on his back though, she winced slightly. "We should get those cleaned up."

Elizabeth's Father smirked slightly. "Come now, Liz, isn't he a good gift?" He tugged Luke into the room harshly, not caring how Luke winced with each step. "The best thing is, he's all yours." Her father dropped the rope that bound Luke's wrists together into his daughter's palm. "Have fun."

Luke watched as the callous man left the bedroom he had been dragged to, instantly focusing his gaze onto the ground. Liz, as her father had called her, was beautiful, and Luke was sure he'd never seen such beauty in his life, but still, the fact of the matter was that she belonged to a family who were dangerous, a family that Luke now belonged to, probably until the day he died. His lip quivering with the thought, Luke ducked his head further, not wanting the girl to see him cry, not wanting to show weakness, or receive another punishment. Staying silent, Luke flinched as the bedroom door slammed shut; and he exhaled heavily, just glad the man was gone.

Michael could feel his heart thumping painfully in his chest, afraid of what might be in store for him, regardless of how this woman was treating him. He worried that it might be a ruse, some way to get his guard down, some mental torture where she tried to get his trust, only to crush it in every way by tormenting him later on. Whether those worries would hold true or not, he couldn't bring himself to lift his gaze to her, too used to receiving punishment if he spoke or looked at somebody without permission. But, what he had seen of her in the moments he'd allowed himself the chance, he could admit that she was the most gorgeous sight he'd ever seen. With the man gone, he listened to the woman speak, her voice soothing and gentle, and he didn't know how a woman who seemed this kind could be related to that awful, cruel man. Were there parts of her that were similar to her father? Was his concern well-placed? Swallowing through his turmoil, he could feel his heart sinking with the fact that this was what his life would be like from now on, that he'd be here, a slave, always, until he died. But, he tried not to focus on that, he tried to focus just on listening to the woman speak, finding it somewhat calming, comforting, even with everything that was going on in his mind. "Michael," he told her eventually, his throat sore and his mouth dry from not speaking in so long, only ever truly yelling out in pain. "My name is Michael."

Liz could feel a slight anger build up in her, but she was doing her best to not let it show, having always feared her father because she knew exactly what he was capable of. Seeing the man's lip quiver, though, her heart broke and she watched her father leave before she closed and locked the door. "I'm sorry," she whispered to the man, looking at Luke before she went to find a pair of scissors, moving over to cut the rope from around Luke's wrist, being careful of his injuries, and she gently pulled the rope away, dropping it to the floor. "He's such an asshole and you don't deserve any of this." Her expression softened as she saw the other injuries, and she could feel a lump form in her throat. "Um, how about we get you cleaned up and disinfect those wounds?" She watched him with concern, wishing she could think of a way to comfort him, to make this better, but everything was just awful. "I'm Elizabeth. Or Liz. Whichever you want to call me. You don't even have to call me anything, I guess, because you don't have to talk. But... If you want to talk, I'll listen. So, I guess... If you want to talk, what's your name?" She watched him for a moment before she shifted, lifting a hand to run her fingers through his hair, feeling her heart ache for him, the torment he must have gone through. "I'll go get you a bath started, okay?" She offered a weak smile before she stood up and headed to the bathroom to get the water started.

"It's nice to meet you, Michael." Peaches spoke softly, frowning as she noticed his voice was hoarse. Lifting her hand, slowly, carefully, Peaches ran her fingers through Michael's hair, sighing. "You poor thing. I'm so sorry on behalf of that awful man." She knelt down in front of Michael. "So, here's what we're going to do, okay?" She offered him a calm smile. "First, we're gonna get you a drink, your throat doesn't sound like it's in the best condition." She frowned, knowing that it was probably from him screaming in pain with her father's torture. "And then, we're going to run you a bath, clean those wounds." She felt a twinge of guilt, with that. "You don't have to get undressed completely, as long as I can clean your back." She told him, wanting him to know she respected his boundaries, understanding how terrified he must of felt. Standing straight again, Peaches ran her fingers through his hair once more, offering Michael her bottle of water, opening the door to her ensuite bathroom to start a bath, leaving Michael to do what he wanted.

Luke swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat, and although he kept his head down, he still watched Liz carefully through the corner of his eye. Listening to her words, Luke felt his heart ease up, but he couldn't help but wonder if this was some sort of cruel joke, or if she was being genuinely kind. Rubbing his wrists as Liz cut the rope that bound his arms together, Luke let out a shuddered sigh, squeezing his eyes shut as he tried to block out the dull pain that radiated from his back. Hearing her ask his name, though, Luke lifted his head ever so slightly, half expecting some form of punishment for doing so, untensing slightly as none was delivered, but still keeping his guard up. "I'm Luke." And even though his voice was hoarse, his throat was raw, Luke still offered her his name as a thank you for the kindness she was showing. Still, he didn't want to bad mouth Liz's father in front of her, wondering if they were close. Leaning into her touch slightly as Liz stroked through his hair, Luke sighed once more, watching as she disappeared to run him a bath. "Thanks." He commented once more, wincing as his whole body ached, finally letting a few tears fall.

Michael paused with shock, surprised with the feeling of Peaches's hand in his hair, his heart thumping in his chest, but less painful, more relieved, and he was surprised with how comforting the contact felt. He wasn't sure what exactly about Peaches affected him so easily, but he could feel himself untensing, soothened by how gentle she was, though he tried to keep his guard up, because there was still always the risk that something wasn't right, that she would turn on him the first chance she got. Still, he allowed himself this moment, allowing himself to lean into his touch for a moment as he gave himself this moment to relax, even if it might not really last all that long. "Okay," he whispered, nodding slowly as he dropped his gaze again, breathing out a shuddered breath, both from the pain that was running through him and from how broken he felt. "I'm sorry for all the hassle." Because, if this was a cruel trick, then he needed to stay on good behavior, just in case. But, with her walking away from him, he could feel his eyes water now that he was alone with his thoughts and pain and he chewed hard on his lip as he tried to bite back the tears, despite that they were already falling.

Liz's expression softened when she heard how hoarse Luke's voice was. After she'd run the bath, she'd put in epsom salt for the injuries, along with bubble soap, wanting to ensure that Luke could enjoy it, even a little. "Okay, um," she murmured as as she stood to her feet to head back to the room, "The bath is ready. You don't have to undress all the way, but I'm gonna have somebody get you a robe to wear afterwards, so that your clothes can be cleaned, but also so somebody can see the sizes and go get you new clothes. I'm gonna have somebody get you a drink with honey in it for your throat and something for you to eat, too. Is there anything you're allergic to? Or anything specific you'd like to eat?" After she'd finished talking and walked fully into the room, though, she frowned when she saw Luke's tears, and she made her way over quickly, pausing to lift her hands slowly to avoid startling him, and she cupped his face gently to wipe away his tears. "I'm so, so sorry this happened to you, Luke."

Peaches ran Michael a bath, putting in epsom salt and a slight bit of bubble bath, not wanting his wounds to sting. Still, she rolled up the sleeves to her shirt, watching him as he spoke, frowning with how broken he sounded. Sighing softly, Peaches kneeled beside him once more, unscrewing the top of her bottled water. "You're not a hassle at all." She offered him another smile, bringing the water bottle to his lips. "Drink." She instructed gently, feeling her heart break as she saw his tears. Lifting her free hand, Peaches gently cupped Michael's cheek, using her thumb to rub away his tears. "I'm sorry, Michael." She swallowed the lump in her own throat. "He's a heartless bastard." She frowned, but changed the subject quickly. "Your bath is ready, so I'm going to get someone to get you some clothes, some food, make you feel a little better." She smiled weakly, knowing there was always someone outside of the door. Moving away from Michael, Peaches put on a stern exterior. "Moira!" She snapped, frowning as the woman poked her head around the door. "I need a bath robe and some clothes." She spoke sternly. "Michael's wounds will be cleaned, you can take his current outfit to be washed, do I make myself clear?" She asked with a frown. "You will treat Michael with respect for as long as he is with us." She warned. "We will be out later for some food, I expect a feast waiting for this boy. Now go." She snapped.

Luke sniffled, but nodded with Liz's words, wanting to behave, wanting to make sure that his disobedience or rudeness wouldn't gain a punishment. "Thank you," he spoke once more, his voice stinging with how dry his throat was. "No allergies." Luke shrugged lightly, wincing as he did, just grateful to have the opportunity for some food, surprised at the contrast in behaviour between Liz and her father. Still, as Liz cupped his face, Luke allowed more tears to escape, not caring if he seemed weak in that moment, his fear coursing through his veins. Hearing her apology, Luke ducked his head, knowing that this probably wasn't what Liz wanted, or what she had asked for, and with that theory, he couldn't fault her. "It's okay." He replied meekly, but still, he peeled off his loose t-shirt, wincing as the material rubbed across the lashes on his back, hissing in agony, knowing that his t-shirt was covered in dried blood which had stuck to the deep wounds on his back. Keeping his gaze focused to the floor though, Luke couldn't even bring himself to look up again, afraid, although the more Liz spoke, the more comfort she seemed to bring to him.

Michael wasn't sure he believed her. Surely, she wasn't used to taking care of people who were meant to be under her, people who were meant to be at her neck and call. But, her words at least made him feel a little better because, while he knew he was being a hassle, at least she didn't outright seem to mind it too much, and it made him hopeful that maybe she wouldn't punish him, maybe he'd be spared from punishments from now on. With how kind she seemed to be, he could feel that hope growing, causing his heart to swell slightly, and he nodded weakly to her words. "Okay," he whispered, though his voice cracked, breaking with everything he'd been through, and he tried to force his tears to cease. Leaning to drink the water, he couldn't help but to gulp it down almost desperately, unable to remember the last time he'd been granted a drink, even just a sip. But, as he realized what he was doing, he pulled back from the bottle and dropped his gaze, realizing he'd spilled some on the floor, and he felt his heart pounding with fear. "I - I'm sorry, I didn't meant to." He couldn't bring himself to lift his gaze after that, too worried about the possibility of seeing anger on the gorgeous woman's face. He wanted to remember her kind expressions, he didn't want those memories to be tainted, but he paused when he felt her wiping away his tears. His gaze lifted to her and he watched her for a long while before nodding. "Okay, I'll do that." Clearing his throat weakly, he shifted to gently peel off his shirt, hissing out and cringing in pain with the way the fabric caught at the wounded skin, tugging at the injuries because of the way his shirt stuck to his skin from the sticky blood. Almost whimpering, he finally got it off, his muscles aching with the movement, and he turned to head to the bathroom, though he'd paused when he heard Pea talking to one of the staff members and, looking over, he watched her in shock, surprised with how she was doing so much for him.

Liz could feel her heart breaking with seeing Luke crying and she swallowed hard, trying to ignore the way her own eyes began to water, and she offered a weak smile. "It's not okay, you don't have to pretend that it is," she assured him quietly, because it wasn't. He didn't deserve anything that happened to him. When he pulled his shirt off, though, she felt her heart sink, her stomach twisting, and she lifted her hand to her mouth, shocked with the damage her father had done to him. "Oh, my -" Feeling her tears threatening to break surface on Luke's behalf, she cleared her throat, knowing that it wasn't her place to cry, Luke was the one in pain. "You go relax in the tub. When you're ready to have your back cleaned, call for me and I'll be there." Turning, she headed to her door, opening it to look to the nearest staff member. "Richard, I need you to go get something warm to drink, with honey, and have the cooks prepare their best dishes. I want it brought here, along with a first aid kit and a silk robe for men." Because the silk wouldn't pull against Luke's wounds. "And, after all of that is brought here, I need you to stay here to await his clothes, then to have them cleaned and get him new clothes from the store." While Liz hated her father, she was at least good at throwing out orders like he was - it was the only similarity Liz knew for sure she had with her father. "And, from this day, you are to treat Luke with absolute respect. If he has a request, you abide by it, no questions. It's what you're paid for, after all." She scoffed lowly, but when Richard stood there and stared at her, she scowled and glared. "What are you staring at? Go! Now!" Huffing, she slammed her door on the man.

Pea watched Michael carefully, sympathetically, running her fingers through his hair again, having noticed he seemed to lean into the sensation a little. Still, hearing his voice crack, Pea felt her heart break for the beautiful man, who didn't deserve any part of what he had been dragged through by her father. Hearing his apology, Pea looked confused. "What for?" She asked, having not even noticed any water fall to the floor. Still, she pressed a kiss to the top of his head, unable to stop herself. Smiling down at Michael as his gaze met hers, Pea moved away as he began to peel his shirt off, moving to study his back, although she made it seem as though she was grabbing a towel. Seeing his injuries, Pea's hand went to her mouth, and she felt the surge of protectiveness rush through her once more. "Oh, you poor darling..." She bit her lip. "Go and get in the bath. When you need me, just call me, okay?" She smiled weakly, letting him go into the bathroom. Grabbing his discarded t-shirt, Pea handed it to Moira as she brought in a silk robe, tea, a medical kit, and some clothes, being told that chefs were making food. Nodding, Pea shoved Moira out and slammed the door.

Luke looked to Liz, nodding in appreciation as she told him to go and relax. Although Luke couldn't allow himself to relax, he could at least bring himself to enjoy the warm water, and enjoy Liz's hospitality and kindness towards him. He enjoyed her attention, and he didn't understand how such a sweet girl could bare to stay with a family like hers, but Luke knew it wasn't his place to ask, or even make assumptions. Limping to the bathroom, Luke stripped to his boxers and climbed into the tub, hissing in pain as the water hit his wounds. "Dammit," he exhaled quietly, squeezing his eyes shut. Hearing Liz bark orders at Richard, Luke didn't feel the fear like he did with her father, having seen such a difference in behaviour, he was beginning to come round to the idea of Liz being kind. Still, Luke cleared his throat, wondering if he should call for her for help, his back stinging with the warmth of the water. "Uh, Liz." He called, his voice hoarse, painful to speak, never mind raise his voice to a higher standard than what he had been. "I'm uh, I'm ready."

"The... The water," Michael said quietly, weakly, staring at the water on the floor anxiously, but he nodded slowly to her words, wincing slightly with the pain from the movement. "Okay... Thank you..." Clearing his throat, he tried not to wince with the feeling, but he headed to the bathroom quietly, hissing out in pain with the way the movement shot pain through his body. He tried to be quiet about it, not wanting to worry Peaches, though he was surprised with the fact that he was so worried about her in return. After all, it couldn't be easy living in a house with a tyrant like her father. Frowning with the thought, he discarded his pants painfully and climbed into the tub, hissing with the feeling of the water soaking into his wounds, almost whimpering, and he did his best to breathe through it. For a moment, he thought about reaching to wash himself so that Peaches wouldn't have to go through the trouble of it, but when he tried to reach behind himself to do it, the whimper that had threatened to slip out earlier managed to break through his lips this time and he took a deep breath to force it back. "Peaches," he called after a moment, too worried about seeming disrespectful by calling her by the nickname she'd told him. "I'm, uh... I'm ready..."

Liz had gotten Luke's clothes and gone to the door when Richard returned. Taking everything from him, she kicked the door closed and headed to the bathroom when she heard Luke's voice. She could see the bubbles in the water turning red from his blood and she felt her heart aching for him. Setting everything down, she grabbed the glass and moved to the tub. "I'm gonna set this here. Drink it when you're ready," she told him quietly as she set it on the edge. Grabbing a wash cloth, she dipped it into the water enough to get it wet but not enough to invade Luke's personal space. "It's probably gonna sting at first. I'm sorry ahead of time." Offering a weak smile, she moved to sat down by the tub and focused on gently washing his back, being as careful as she could be with him, never wanting to hurt him.

Pea looked at the floor, smiling. "Oh!" She laughed, shaking her head. "Don't worry about it, mistakes happen." She smiled reassuringly, watching him. Once he disappeared to the bathroom, Pea grabbed him some fresh jeans, underwear, and the silk robe, knowing that a t-shirt would prolong his discomfort instead of helping it. Grabbing the first aid kit ready for when Michael was done, Peaches looked up as she heard Michael's voice. Entering the bathroom, Pea smiled. "Call me Pea, Michael, honestly, it doesn't bother me." She told him, once again pulling up her sleeves as she grabbed the soft sponge, squeezing water from it. "If this hurts too much, tell me to stop." She murmured, gently dabbing at his wounds as the water around Michael reddened slightly with blood. Humming softly, Pea got to work, making sure she was gentle.

Luke watched Liz for a moment, but nodded. "Thank you." He spoke again, unsure of what else he could say, wanting to remain respectful in case he was punished, but also wanting to get to know her more, but Luke let his fear win over his curiosity, and he opted to stay silent, hissing out in pain as the wash cloth touched his wounds, ducking his head as tears sprung to his eyes, trying to breathe through the pain. Gripping to the sides of the large bathtub, Luke exhaled each time the cloth touched a wound, trying his hardest not to tense, instead focusing on the sound of water around him, trying to tune into anything to distract himself from the pain. Still, he couldn't complain, because the hospitality that Liz was showing him honestly warmed his heart. Exhaling as the sting began to cool off once the dried blood was off, Luke let go of the tub. "Dammit." He sighed.

Michael peered over at her when she entered the bathroom but he instinctively ducked his head, chewing on his lip. "I'm sorry," he told her quietly, "I don't want to seem disrespectful." But, he figured, if she was giving him the complete confirmation that he was allowed to call her Pea, maybe it would seem more disrespectful if he didn't. "Thank you... Pea." He cleared his throat, but tensed when he realized she was about to get started, his breathing picking up before he whispered, cringing with the pain, ducking his head to try to hide it, his fingers curling under the water. His eyes watered painfully and he chewed hard on his lip to try to avoid letting the pained noises escape.

Liz chewed hard on her lip as she watched the pain Luke was experiencing, wishing there was some way she could help him or make it less painful for him. "If it gets too bad, too painful, at any point, just squeeze my hand, okay? As hard as you need to," she murmured gently as she watched him, though she went back to focusing on washing his back gently, being as careful and gentle as she could manage to be. "Do you have a favorite song? Or... Have you ever even listened to music at all?"

Seeing the way Michael ducked his head, Pea smiled softly. "You don't need to apologise to me." She told him softly. "You're not disrespectful at all. In fact, I insist." She promised, but once she noticed the discomfort he was in, Pea bit her lip, wondering how she could make it better, but knowing there wasn't much she could do. "We're nearly done, sweetheart." She spoke softly, finishing on his back and exhaling the breath she didn't realise she was holding. "There." She went to grab a dry towel and some supplies from the medical kit, getting to work on drying the wounds, putting ointment on them and bandaging them up. "That's done." She smiled. "If you wanna relax a little more, try not to get your back wet."

Luke squeezed his eyes shut, not wanting to squeeze Liz's hand out of fear of hurting her. Still, he focused on her voice, listening to her questions as she continued to work on his back. Luke breathed through the pain. "Y - yeah, big music nerd." He confirmed, trying to speak through his agony, wanting to tug at his hair, scratch at his arms, do anything to distract himself. "I sing, sometimes. I don't really have a favourite song though." He told her, groaning a bit as she hit a particularly painful spot, hissing with the feeling of the wash cloth against that area. Still, he furrowed his eyebrows. "Do you sing at all?" He asked. "Or, you know, like music?" He decided if she wanted to start some sort of conversation, then he could too.

Michael listened to her quietly, grateful for her words, her voice, her kindness. Something about her made it so easy for him to relax, surprisingly, and he chewed on his lip, breathing through the pain while he waited for it to pass. "Well... If you insist, then," he said, offering a weak smile, though he nodded slowly, taking a breath as he trid to relax. When she finished cleaning his back, he felt himself relax a bit more, relieved that it was over, though he tensed a bit with her putting the ointment on him. Swallowing hard, he was at least relieved for how cool and gentle the ointment felt against his skin and how gentle Pea was with him. "Thank you, Pea." He ducked his head a bit as he made sure not to lean back, wanting to avoid getting the bandages wet, not wanting to ruin all the work Peaches had done. "I'll be careful not to get them wet, I promise."

Liz chewed on her lip as she watched Luke, her expression softening with seeing him in so much pain, but she offered a weak smile. "You sing?" she asked gently, curious, though she shrugged. "My mom used to sing me to sleep when I was scared. I think my favorite was 'Kokomo' by the Beach Boys. I'm tone death, though." She grinned slightly, ducking her head, but she focused still on washing his back gently, trying to think of things to say to try to distract him from the pain. "No judging, okay?" She arched a teasing brow as she finished washing his back, and she set the cloth aside, lifting her hand to run her fingers through his hair gently again. "When you get out of the tub, I'll put some ointment and bandages on your wounds, then you can change into the robe and eat to your heart's content, okay?"

Pea smiled as Michael thanked her, biting her lip. "There's never any need to thank me, Michael." She promised, dipping her hands lightly into the water to wash her hands of the ointment. Disappearing back into her bedroom for a brief moment to grab his jeans, underwear and robe, Pea laid out a warm, fluffy towel for him to use to dry. "I'll be in my room when you're ready, okay?" She spoke softly, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. "You're safe with me, Michael." She gently rubbed his shoulder, disappearing to her bedroom and shutting the bathroom door, swearing to herself silently that she would never let any harm come to Michael, opening the door as food was brought to her room, thanking the chefs.

Luke nodded to Liz's question. "I do." He murmured, still trying to breathe through it all, using her voice, her soothing presence to calm himself. "Not often, but I sing." He listened to her talk about her Mom though, nodding. "Are you close to her?" He asked, doing anything to rid his thoughts of the pain, whimpering. "Beach Boys are awesome." He commented, his voice strained with the pain, but as soon as Liz finished washing his back, Luke un-tensed quickly, exhaling, but when he felt her fingers through his hair, Luke relaxed completely, nodding to her words. "Thanks, Liz. Really." He murmured, biting his lip, unsure how he was going to make it up to her.

Michael watched her leave, chewing on his lip while he waited patiently, but he nodded when she came back. "Okay. I'll try not to take long," he promised quietly, still not wanting to be a hassle to her. When he felt her kiss the top of his head and rub his shoulder, though, he watched her, amazed by her, wondering how in the world she was so kind after being in a house with her father her whole life. But, also, he couldn't really understand what he had done to deserve her treatment towards him, his heart swelling because, despite how awful everything else was around him, he felt lucky that Peaches was the woman he'd come to meet. "I believe you." He watched her leave, hesitating for a moment before he shifted to climb out of the tub, wincing, cringing, with the pain before he carefully began getting dressed, breathing through the pain. When he finished, he slowly made his way back into the bedroom, taking her in.

Liz smiled slightly as she listened to him. "I bet you have a beautiful singing voice," she told him quietly, curious and wanting to hear it, but she figured that it wasn't right to ask for that; she'd wait for Luke to sing on his own. She shook her head, though. "Not anymore. She left my Dad a few years ago and left me here. A part of me wonders if she even really got out..." Chewing on her lip with the thought, she sighed and shook her head, still running her fingers through his hair. "You don't have to thank me. I'm the reason you're in this mess." Her expression softened but she shifted. "How about you sit on the edge of the tub and I'll get to work on bandaging you up? Then I'll let you have your privacy to get dressed."

Peaches sat on her bed, cross-legged, toying with her lip as she thought of what her father had done to Michael, someone who so clearly didn’t deserve any kind of pain. Frowning with the thought, Pea looked up as she heard the bathroom door open. “Hey!” She offered him a calm smile, standing and making her way over to him, grabbing his, thankfully still hot, cup of tea. “Here, drink this.” She handed it to him, smiling. “It has honey in. It should help revive your throat a little.” She studied him for a moment, just admiring how beautiful he was. “And food is served, help yourself to anything.”

Luke shook his head with Liz’s words. “I only do it for fun,” he told her quietly in return. Hearing Liz’s words about her mother though, Luke frowned, wondering if there was a possibility her father had killed her mother. “I’m sorry about your Mom.” He murmured, finally lifting his gaze fully to look at Liz. “This isn’t your fault, Liz...” He murmured as he climbed to sit on the edge of the tub, wincing in pain, trying to not let any noises escape him, but still in discomfort, following her every command to avoid being punished. “Thank you; for all of this.” He spoke, yelping in pain as he leaned forward slightly to give her better access to his back.

Michael peered up at her when he heard her greeting, chewing on his lip, surprised with how comforting she seemed to be for him. She was constantly surprising him, soothing his heart, and he couldn't believe that she was doing so much for him, even when he didn't deserve it, when nobody had ever done anything like this before. "Thank you," he told her quietly, nodding slowly as he accepted the cup to take a sip, pleased with the taste and the warmth of it. It helped to soothe his throat a bit and he was grateful for that, offering her a weak smile as he nodded. "It's good. My throat feels a bit better already." At the very least, he wanted her to know that everything she was doing for him wasn't in vain, that he was grateful for it all. He blinked, though, peering over at the food, the aroma it gave off and the sight of it all causing his stomach to grumble painfully in hunger. "Are you going to eat as well?" He settled his gaze back on her, trying his best not to stare at the food, finding himself a little braver with the fact that he could actually look at Peaches, that he was comfortable doing so, but he was worried that he couldn't do that outside of this room, so he tried not to let it become habitual.

Liz shook her head slightly, breathing out a sigh. "If I hadn't been bored, my father would have never got in his mind to get you and none or this would have happened," she whispered as she watched him, though her heart sank when she heard her noises of pain, chewing on her lip. "If something feels wrong or painful, let me know. You can say no, Luke. Regardless of what my father brought you here for, you're a person, a human, and you can do as you please." Moving to get the first aid kit, she came back and gently applied the antibiotic ointment to his back before bandaging him up as gently as she could. "Okay, um, clothes and the robe are there. Your drink's still on the edge of the tub. I'll leave the food in here, too, in case you want your privacy to eat. If not, you can join me back in the room when you're ready. Let me know if you need anything at all." She offered a weak smile as she watched him but turned to leave the bathroom, returning to her spot at the window.

Peaches studied Michael as he took a sip of the tea, thankful that it helped him. "I'm glad you're feeling a little better." She spoke softly, still admiring the handsome man, her guilt almost outshining her admiration for him. Following his gaze to the food though, Peaches smiled. "Grab something to eat." She told him gently, moving her hand to rub his arm. Hearing his question, Pea toyed with her lower lip, knowing she shouldn't ruin her own dinner which she had to eat with her father, but she wanted to provide Michael with comfort, let him know that he wasn't alone in all of this. "Yeah!" She laughed. "I'm pretty hungry, but I imagine that you're much hungrier than I am." She took his hand, her thumb running across his knuckles as she led him to the food. "Alright, what're you in the mood for?" She grabbed a cheeseburger for herself. "And don't worry about making a mess." She told him gently.

Luke toyed with his lip as he heard her words. "I'm just glad I was brought to someone kind." He told her gently, his voice still meek as the pain rushed through him. "Anyone else would of killed me by now, Liz... how did you end up so different from your Dad?" He asked with curiosity, hissing in pain once more as she applied the antibiotic ointment to his back, a few tears escaping and rolling down his cheeks, but once the initial sting was over and Liz bandaged his back, Luke exhaled and untensed, squeezing his eyes shut. "Liz, wait." He called as she stood to leave him. Seeing her move to the door, Luke bit his lip as she paused. "Thank you. For everything." He told her, admiring her from behind, just how damn beautiful she was, and how kind she was, when Luke felt like he definitely deserve it.
