Audrey smiled as she sat with her family in the beautiful lodge in Australia - a popular place for tourists and locals alike. Audrey's father had been offered a job promotion which would mean uprooting from California and to Australia, and the Pope's had come to scope out the things to do, and Audrey would be lying if she said she hadn't been having a lot of fun on the trip. Mentally making a note to convince her Father to take the job, Audrey watched as people sung karaoke, sipping her own drink, blushing as her mother convinced her to try it. "No!" She laughed.

Luke laughed as he sat on a bar stool, watching as someone took to the karaoke stage to sing along to Livin' Da Vida Loca, and Luke couldn't deny that this man was a brave soul. He had a few shots in his system, judging by the way he moved, but hey, he was good entertainment. Luke wondered for a long moment if he should give it a try, because why not? Luke was on summer break, and his and Michael's families had decided to come to this resort together, and Luke had enjoyed every moment. "Go on!" He grinned at the man performing, wanting to be cheeky.

Michael couldn’t help but to find amusement in the exaggerated karaoke attempt, laughing as he clapped encouragingly. “That's amazing,” he said with a laugh, shaking his head before he grinned at his friend. “He got really into it, yeah?” But it had been great to see, and hilarious, too. “That seems like it'd actually be kind of fun.” He grinned with the thought.

Cameron watched the karaoke performance, amused but quiet, not wanting to really be a part of it. Her family was there to visit family friends who'd moved to Australia the year before, but the matriarch of that family had offered Cameron's own mother a job and, while the families were busy talking, Cameron was watching everything happening.

As time passed, nobody else had come up after the last man stepped down and somebody - Michael wasn't sure if they should be called a DJ or a host - had declared that he was going to choose who to sing next and that it would be a duo. Suddenly, there were spotlights searching the crowd and Michael held his arm up to protect his eyes when the spotlight landed on him and, peering around, his gaze fell on who else the spotlight had landed on - an absolutely gorgeous girl. Clearing his throat, he shifted to stand up. “Wish me luck,” he told Luke with a grin before he wandered up to the stage.

Luke grinned back at Michael, shaking his head in amusement. "Just a little bit too into it." Luke sipped his drink, his eyes scanning the lodge to see if there was anything else worth noting than the bad karaoke singers, and when his gaze fell upon a beautiful stranger, Luke paused, not even paying attention to the DJ's words, instantly entranced by the brunette. Blinking, Luke toyed with his lip, but his attention was soon on Michael again as the spotlight landed on him. "Ha!" He grinned. "Go on, Mikey!" He tapped Michael's back, making a whoop whoop noise to be obnoxious, wanting to tease his friend.

Audrey listened to the host as she laughed along to something her Father had told her older brother, shaking her head in amusement. Still, when the spotlight landed on her, Audrey paused, feeling her heart almost slow down to a stop in her chest. "What?" She gasped. "No, no way." Still, Audrey tried to resist as her older brother pushed her to her feet, ducking her head shyly as she felt eyes on her. Gathering the very little she had left of her courage, Audrey saw the boy she'd been partnered with, and she swore she'd never seen someone so handsome. Accepting a microphone from the DJ as he told them they would be singing an Aerosmith song, Audrey stepped onto the stage with Michael, not even looking at him.

Michael laughed to Luke's words, casually flipping his friend off, though his attention went to the girl as she approached. Blinking several times, he watched her, stunned by her, grateful that he was able to see her better now - she'd been gorgeous before but, in the light, she was stunning. Hearing the song start, he cleared his throat before grinning, moving to take one of the mics to start singing, not at all shy about it.

Cameron had been peering around, not wanting to get dragged into what was going on, though she'd paused when she spotted somebody's gaze. She watched him for a moment, almost shocked with how ethereal he looked, the only light being the strobes going around. Ducking her head, she moved to get to a wall to lean against, though she listened to the singing quietly.

Audrey offered Michael a weak smile as she gained the courage to look at him. Now that she was close enough to him to study him properly, she couldn't deny that he was gorgeous, and he had this presence, this aura around him that couldn't be ignored. Hearing him sing though, caused Audrey to blink in surprise - she wasn't expecting a voice that brilliant to come from him, but the best things were always surprises. Grabbing her mic, Audrey joined in when she was meant to, her confidence coming to her the more she sang.

When Michael had gone to the stage, Luke focused his gaze around the room once more, searching for the beautiful brunette who had so easily captured his attention. He found her, leaning against the wall, and Luke smiled as he watched her for a long moment. Deciding that he wouldn't get another opportunity like this one, Luke stood to his feet and made his way over, forgetting that the room was full of other people, because in that moment, she was the only one he saw. Approaching her, Luke cleared his throat. "Hiya," he smiled. "I'm Luke." He made sure his voice could be heard though, the atmosphere loud.

Michael paused with surprise when he heard Audrey start to sing, but he grinned, mesmerized by her voice, and he watched her for a long moment. He could feel a draw to her and, as he sang with her, he couldn’t help but move closer to her, enjoying every moment of this, of singing with her, and he never wanted it to end.

Cameron had been watching the pair on stage, enjoying listening to them, but she paused when she realized the guy from earlier was right there now. Blinking, she watched him for a long moment. “Hi,” she greeted after a moment, trying to talk a little over the music. “Cameron. It’s, uh… Nice to meet you.”

Audrey was surprised to feel the connection that pulled her to Michael, and she couldn't help but move closer, smiling at him as she eased into the situation, her eyes meeting his as they sang in unison, and as Audrey tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, she couldn't help but admire the blonde boy.

"It's nice to meet you, Cameron." Luke greeted, having to keep his voice raised, although he smiled softly as he studied the beauty, looking to the stage and shaking his head in amusement. "That's my best friend up there, but he looks like he's having fun." Luke usually hated small talk, but he couldn't help but to try, because he didn't want to lose sight of Cameron, not at all. "Another drink?"

Michael grinned as he watched Audrey, unable to help but to shift closer to Audrey, as close to her as he dared to, singing with her, getting more into it. He couldn’t help it; something about her was… Addictive, inspiring, and he was enjoying every moment of this, and he didn’t see a reason to bother to hide that fact at all.

Cameron offered an amused look as she listened to Luke and she nodded slightly. “It’s nice to meet you, too,” she said, following his attention, watching the pair singing, “They’re both pretty good.” She didn’t talk much, not wanting to interrupt the music, and she looked back to him, blinking, nodding. “Sure, okay.”
