Evie chuckled. "Well dark green is usually tied more to ambition than it is to nature oddly enough. But the color green is very much about balance of life and knowledge, not only about the self but the desire to learn about the things around yourself. As for yellow they say light yellow is energetic, fun and upbeat." she shook her head. "Oh I burn much too easily to sit outside on a sunny day. No I am more of an inside person as much as I like the colors of the forest on a sunny day. I rather be outside at night. It's a little more complicated a relationship that I have with the night." she chuckled. "Really color psychology is something I use more for my job than in my personal life. Sociology is much more accurate and statistical than psychology is." she grinned. "Now that I have thoroughly confused you." she grinned as they got to the bar. "Let's drink." she smirked and walked in with him.
They grabbed a seat and he asked what she wanted and she grinned. "A manhattan please." she said leaning closer to him to speak in his ear because of the crowd in the bar. She was terrible at most trivia when sober so she was interested to see what it would be like to play while drinking. She had a feeling Winston would be good at this.
When Winston got back she turned to him grinning and thanking him for the drink as she took it. She took a sip and smiled. "Okay so confession, I have never done this before and I am terrible at trivia board games. Also I have a terrible desire to win at anything." she said smiling at him. "I think you could still back out now if you wanted." she teased though was looking forward to this.
Alec grinned glad she agreed to go on a drive with him. He had a few pretty scenic drives they could choose from. "A prickly pear is a human food that grows on a cactus. It has cactus needles and to pick them you have to brush them off the cactus with like a broom or something. The point was that they are suppose to be really good and yet they are rough on the outside. I have that same feeling around you. He shrugged. "Alright I will let you rest and will be back to help you into the car to go get your things soon." he said and smiled at her. "I am glad you are staying Maddy." he said before leaving the room.
Alec headed to his car to clean it out. He set up some pillows to hopefully make her more comfortable in the car not wanting her to feel any pain while they went on their drive. It wasn't long before he was heading back inside to grab Madeline so they could randevu with her family's messenger to grab her bag.
Alec knocked and waited until Madeline said she was ready then he walked in and grinned at her. "Ready?" he asked. "So I was thinking earlier that we could maybe start a puzzle tomorrow. It will give us something to do inside. I was trying to think of other things for us to do. Any ideas?" he asked her as he helped her up and then swept her gently up. "You get the doors and let me be your feet while you are the hands." he winked playfully. They started out of the room and then out of the apartment. Locking the door was an interesting task. "Okay so you have to jiggle the lock to get the key out." he said smiling as she looked at him like he was kidding. "It's an extra security measure." he teased with a smirk.
