Luke had nothing better to do. It was a lazy Saturday afternoon, the sun was shining, and Calum had the biggest front yard to mess around in, so Luke decided that Calum's house was where he was heading. Texting Calum to let him know he'd be there soon, Luke grabbed his car keys and put Petunia on her leash, smiling down at her. "C'mon, Piggy." He spoke gently, leading the dog to his car, opening the front passenger door for her, watching fondly as she jumped in. "That's a good girl." Climbing into the drivers seat, Luke buckled in and started the short drive to Calum's house.

Queenie sat on the steps leading up to her house, watching as her dalmatian, Pongo, ran around the garden wildly. Chuckling, Queenie quickly snapped a photo and sent it to Violet with a grin; He's eagerly awaiting your arrival! Smiling to herself, Queenie slipped her phone back into the pocket of her jeans, almost regretting the decision to wear them. The Australian heat was so odd to her, Quebec was so much colder than this, and jeans and sweaters were a necessity. But, at least, Queenie had finished unpacking, and the only thing she needed to do now was get used to her new surroundings.

Calum had gone out to get groceries, plus dog food for Duke, and, when he was making his way up to his house, he could see his new neighbor sitting on the steps of her house, her dog running around, and he couldn’t help but to laugh as he watch the dog for a moment, enjoying how happy the dog looked, certain that he was well taken care of. He watched for a moment, making a mental note to go introduce himself later, but he headed inside to put his things away first. “Duke, I’ve got food!” he called, grinning as the dog came darting and, after setting up Duke’s food bowl, he went to put the groceries away.

Violet grinned when she got the text and picture as she was walking, her camera around her neck. I can’t wait to meet him in person! And you, of course! She knew she wouldn’t be able to stick around for too long, because she had something big planned for a video and she needed to make sure she struck at the right time, but she settled her gaze ahead as she walked. Soon seeing the address, she picked up her pace until she got to the house and she grinned. “Queenie! Hey!” She waved and rushed over to hug Queenie. “How are you liking Australia so far?”

Queenie laughed at Pongo's antics, shaking her head. "You're crazy, pup." She spoke to him fondly. She heard Violet's voice though, and grinned, standing to her feet to hug her long time friend. "Hey, Vi!" She grinned, opening the gate for Violet to come in, Pongo rolling around in the grass at this point. "It's crazy." She told Violet, leading her to the steps and sitting down once more. "Crazy hot, too." She groaned. "Why didn't you tell me it was this hot? I'm a red head, Vi, we melt in heat." She pouted.

Luke parked up in the street outside Calum's house, getting out of his side to go to Petunia's side, getting the dog out of the car happily. Seeing Calum's new neighbour sat on her steps, talking away happily with a friend, Luke opened Calum's gate and shut it after him, letting Petunia off her leash so she could explore Calum's garden. He waved to the girls happily, not wanting to seem rude, before walking into Calum's house without knocking. "Hi, Cal!" He called, grinning as Duke came to greet him. "Hey, Dukey!"

Violet couldn’t help but to grin as she sat down next to her friend, leaning back and resting her hands against the step she was sitting on as she peered over at Pongo, watching the dog, glad to see the dog happy. “I thought everybody knew that Australia was super hot,” she teased lightly, nudging her friend gently as she peered at her, though her grin softened to a smile. “Sorry. But, hey, you’re here! That counts for something!” She blinked, though, when she noticed somebody waving at them, but she couldn’t get a good look from where they were. “Is that your neighbor?”

Calum looked towards the voice when he heard Luke’s voice and he made a joking face as he worked on putting the groceries away. “Oi, no warning at all!” he called back with a laugh as he closed a few cabinets, then moved to put the rest of the groceries in the fridge. “I’m in the kitchen, if you wanna be helpful!” He grinned jokingly, though he was already almost done putting the groceries away, anyways, so he supposed it didn’t matter too much either way. “What has you coming ‘round today? Did you bring Petunia for Duke to play with, at the very least?” Closing the fridge as he finished, he stretched his arms out above him, relieved to be done.

Queenie looked over to where Violet was looking, seeing someone enter the house. "Nuh uh, my neighbour's a brunette, I think - he looks cute." She cringed at her own lack of awareness, shaking her head. "I've been too busy unpacking and melting to really notice." She admitted with a grin. "But what is it with cute dogs and cute guys in this place, has Australia always been like this? I've been missing out." She nudged Violet with her foot at that, shaking her head as she tied her red hair up into a bun.

Luke grinned as he watched Calum struggle with the groceries - Calum was the shortest of 5 Seconds of Summer, and Luke never let him forget it. "I did text you mate, don't ignore your phone next time!" Luke informed, Petunia following him closely as he made his way to the kitchen, leaning against the door frame. "Now, why would I wanna help when watching you struggle is so much better?" Luke teased, but moved to help anyway, even though Calum was almost done. "Petunia's gone to say hello to Duke," Luke informed, grabbing himself the last can of Pepsi. "But I was bored. See you've got a new neighbour though mate, have you said hello yet?" He raised his eyebrows.

Violet hummed with amusement, shaking her head slightly. “Well, at least you’re here now to experience it all,” she teased lightly, grinning, though her gaze went back to the other house for a moment, curious about the guy she’d seen. Looking back to Queenie, she tried to brush it off. “So, your neighbor’s cute, huh?” She grinned, nudging her friend. “Maybe you should get your flirt on.”

Calum made a face at his friend. “I was driving when you texted!” he complained, offering an amused look, though he focused on putting everything away, grateful when Luke inevitably began helping, despite his teasing. “I’m sure Duke’s missed her. That’s his girlfriend.” He grinned jokingly at his friend, but shook his head slightly. “Haven’t really had time - plus, she hasn’t come out too often. I figure she’s probably unpacking and I know how frustrating that can be to get distracted from that.”

Luke raised his eyebrows at Calum with amusement. "My sweet Petunia doesn't want riff raff like Duke." Luke warned jokingly, taking a moment to tie his blonde curls from his face, the Australian heat becoming a little too much. Listening to Calum's reasoning as he kept the rest of the groceries, Luke grinned. "We should go and say hi, make you look like a decent neighbour." Luke teased. "I need a reason to talk to that brunette girl." And he really did need a reason, because she was gorgeous and had so easily caught Luke's attention - and hey, Luke could see himself coming to Calum's house more frequently now that he'd caught sight of the beauty.

Queenie laughed with Violet's words, shaking her head in a feigned despair. "Get my flirt on?!" She shook her head. "Oh my god, Vi, I can't believe you sometimes." Queenie spoke fondly of her friend however, glad that she had the opportunity to live close to a friend she adored, afraid that if she didn't have Violet, she'd have no one. The thought alone was frightening, the country was so entirely new - the thought made Queenie hum. "Maybe I should, huh." Changing the subject quickly, Queenie looked to Violet. "What hijinks are you getting up to later, anyway?"

Calum couldn’t help but laugh with Luke’s words, and he shook his head slightly. “Don’t talk down on Duke like that, he’s perfect, any girl would be lucky to have him,” he said with a broad grin, amused, though his gaze went to his friend when Luke continued to talk. “Oh, that’s it, you’re just using me - shame on you.” He smirked playfully and shrugged. “Sure, I wanna meet my neighbor anyway.”

Violet laughed and nodded. “I think you definitely should,” she said easily, amused, wanting to encourage her friend, especially if she had any interest in her neighbor. Queenie deserved happiness, and, really, what was the worst that could happen? She hummed with Queenie’s question, and grinned. “I’m gonna break into an amusement park tonight.”
