Kensley nodded in understanding to her friend's words, sighing out quietly. "I get it," she assured quietly, staring at her wall for a long moment. "Same thing with Luke. Doesn't help that our parents decided 'hey, this is a great idea!' when it's definitely not." She scoffed lowly, chewing on her lip, feeling like, in that moment, Amelia was the only person who really understood what she was going through. "I looked up to him and he just, boom, gone. I want to hate him for it." And she felt she had every right to hate him for it, she'd tried to convince herself all the time that she hated him, but, at the end of the day, when things were at their worst or their best, Luke had always been the person she'd wanted to go to to tell, even after all these years, but she couldn't even do that. She frowned, though, when she heard the knock, and she scoffed, grabbing one of her shoes to throw at the door. "I said fuck off!"
Calum followed Luke through the house, sticking close to his friend, hoping that this would go well, but, more than anything, just wanting to talk to Amelia, wanting to hear her voice, wanting to try to understand these feelings growing in him. He knew it wasn't fair, disappearing on Amelia like that, and it would seem even worse him showing up like this and falling flat on his ass in love with her just after seeing her for a few moments, but, while he couldn't help any of that, he could at least try to help Amelia, try to figure out what he could do to make things better. When they'd gotten to the room and knocked, Calum had waited patiently, but he made a face when he heard something hit the door, followed by Kensley yelling from the other side. "Alright, maybe try again," he mentioned before he knocked on the door himself, figuring that maybe persistence would get the girls to open the door.
Scoffing lowly when she heard the second knock, Kensley rolled her eyes and moved to open the door. "What the fu-" she started, but she paused, frowning when she saw Luke and Calum there, and her eyes narrowed. "Give me one reason why I shouldn't slam this door right in your faces."
"We just wanna talk," Calum said, holding his hands up in defense, though he peeked into the room, his gaze settling on Amelia, and he watched her for a moment before he offered a weak smile. "Would that be alright with you, Amelia? I don't wanna intrude, but I want to make sure you're okay."
