Slowly, Aelia nodded her head. Agreeing with what she was hearing. Helena had a point, they were changing everything day by day as they stayed here. "Do you think we'll be stuck here forever?" Lia asked quietly, not sure if she was asking because she was curious, or because she really wanted to go home.

Shifting her eyes towards the door, Aelia stood up and bowed politely once more towards the noblemen as they passed her by. She learned from her instructor that she was to bow whenever she saw the Kings. Although, as she stood back up, a small frown appeared on her lips as she noticed that Theo wasn't following after the Kings. That made her worry a little bit.

    --

Orion heard Theo's question but didn't answer him right away. Instead, he just kept his gaze on the ceiling. He really had no reply for the other Prince. Then, slowly, he stood up and let a long sigh escape past his lips. "I need a drink." Was all he said as he glanced towards the other Prince. "Join me?" He offered, although his tone left no room for him to argue.

Once the other Prince would stand, he'd make his way out of the conference room. His hands to his sides as he walked out. Although Orion offered Helena a small smile as he passed her by, he couldn't really help it as he headed towards the dining room to sit with everyone and enjoy an alcoholic drink to help ease his tired mind.

"I don't know.." Was all Helena could answer, unsure herself of whether or not they would ever get to go home. Her eyes lit up when she spotted Orion, starting to wave a little to get his attention, although when she saw him just pass by her without stopping to speak to her she frowned, worried about what had been decided in the meeting that would make him cold toward her.

She glanced over at Aelia worriedly before following the rest of the delegation into the dining room, taking a seat with her.
Theodore was a bit surprised by Orion's offer, although after everything that had been discussed, he also needed the drink. He nodded and stood up with a sigh, walking out of the room with him. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.."

As they walked to the dining room he also offered Aelia a small, polite smile, but found that looking at her for too long made him nervous, unsure of how she would react to the news. So, he gladly took a seat with Orion at the dining room table, happily accepting a cup of wine from a waiter and taking a large sip.

A frown appeared on Aelia's lips as she watched Theo and the other Prince just walk by. Sure, she didn't miss that small smile he cast her, but, it wasn't the same. Something was on his mind. She just knew it. So, without thinking, Lia followed him.

As they got to the kitchen, Lia took a seat next to Theo and watched with curiosity as he took a glass of wine. Theo never drank, so this was worrying for her. "Is everything alright?" She asked quietly, taking a glass of wine herself when offered.

    --

The young Prince kept his eyes on his glass of wine once he got one. Having downed half of it as soon as he got it. Why was he so nervous? This was just about Helena, she was safe and so was his country, so, why was he so on edge. Orion didn't really understand it.

A small sigh escaped from the young Prince as he took another sip of his drink, finishing it. Then, he motioned for a waiter to fill his drink before the food came out and they were all set to eat.

Helena sat next to Orion, frowning as she glanced over at him worriedly, noticing as he downed his wine before asking for another one. "Orion..? Are you alright? Did.. Did something happen?" She asked softly, looking over at him in concern, worried that something bad had happened during the meeting.
Theodore cleared his throat a little when Aelia asked him, looking over at him before offering him a small, reassuring smile, although it wasn't very convincing. "Yes, everything's fine.. Just happy that everyone is getting along." He explained before taking another long sip of his wine.

It was almost like an instinct, but Lia could tell that Theo was lying. "Theo..." Aelia said quietly, her tone telling him that she didn't believe him. Slowly, she reached over to grab his drink and lower it. Her head leaning over to look him in the eyes. "What's wrong?" She asked again.

Then, slowly, she couldn't help but frown. "A war isn't starting, we wouldn't be sitting together if there was. So.." She paused and frowned. "Are we not going to be seeing each other anymore?" Lia asked, referring to her having to be forced to go to Crearia.

    --

A small tired sigh escaped from Orion as he gently ran a hand through his hair. His gaze shifting toward Helena as he finally decided to acknowledge her being next to him. "Yeah, everything's fine." He told her, offering a small smile as he took another sip of his wine.

"I'm just really relieved that we're not going to be starting a war with each other." He told her, offering a small smile to try and sell his lie to her. "Did you enjoy talking to Princess Aelia while we were in the meeting?" He asked, hoping to change the conversation.

Theodore frowned as he pushed his drink away, looking over at her before sighing. "No, that's not it.. I'm just excited that there isn't going to be a war, but because of the new treaty, there will be a lot of new responsibilities that I have to take on.." He explained, hoping that she would be satisfied with that answer.
Helena frowned as she watched him, looking at the plate of food that was placed in front of her, trying to hide how upset she was that he wasn't trusting her with whatever it was that he didn't want her to know. She looked back up when he asked about Aelia. "Oh, yeah, we talked a bit.." She murmured before beginning to eat once everyone else had.

A roll of her eyes was all that Aelia gave as her response to Theo. No, that was not enough to satisfy her worry. He was hiding something, and she wanted to know what. Although, it wasn't her place to pry. She wasn't born of this time, nor did she know if she was really royalty. So she had no choice but to let this go, for now.

Looking down at her food, Lia started to slowly pick at it. Her hunger kinda disappearing after talking to Theo.

    --

Slowly, Orion allowed a teasing grin to appear on his lips. "Did you talk about me?" He asked, teasingly elbowing her arm. "You know, about how handsome I am and all." He tried to keep up the goofy tone, but at the end of it, he couldn't help but to want to finish his second glass of wine.

Orion then finally started to eat. The feeling of something entering his stomach reminding the Prince that he was hungry and should eat something if he was going to drink.

Theodore frowned as she rolled her eyes, but didn't know what else to say, knowing that no matter what he said he would just dig himself into a deeper hole. After finishing his cup of wine and taking another he began to dig into his meal, knowing it would only be bad if he didn't eat while also drinking.

"So, Aelia.. Did you get a chance to talk to Helena? Did she have anything interesting to say?" He asked, glancing over at her.
Helena frowned as she glanced over at him, scooting her chair over a little to be out of reach of his elbow. "No, we didn't." She stated curtly, not really in the mood to joke around when something was obviously bothering him, and by the looks of it bothering Theodore as well. For all she knew, the two Kings had decided to sacrifice them both to the Goddess that they worshiped, or ship them off somewhere in exchange for something else.

Once she'd eaten about half of her meal she h couldn't handle sitting next to him anymore, and despite knowing that his father wouldn't approve, she quietly excused herself before standing from the table and heading out of the dining room and outside.

As Aelia picked at her food, her eyes barely glanced at the Prince through the corner of her eye. Then looked back down at her food. "No, not really." She said quietly as she grabbed her napkin and dabbed at her mouth. She wasn't a messy eater, but it was just something she felt like doing in the presence of the Kings.

"I'm going to get some fresh air," Aelia said quietly, before slowly standing and leaving the room. Her arms crossing over her chest as she headed out of the house that they were staying at. A sat on the porch.

    --

Watching Helena's reactions, Orion couldn't help but roll his eyes. It really annoyed him sometimes how the girl couldn't just let things go. She was not a Princess of his home, or yet, so she really had no need to know what was wrong. Sure, it concerned her, but she couldn't just let him think for a bit.

Orion downed the rest of his drink, then got up to go after her. Maybe it was the alcohol in his system, or it was just something that he wanted to do, but. As soon as he got close to her, Orion grabbed Helena and forced her to face him before he planted a kiss to her lips. "I love you, alright?"

Theodore frowned as he watched her get up, feeling terrible for having hurt her feelings. He noticed Helena and Orion get up as well, and knew that he was having just as bad of luck as he was, so he quickly downed the rest of his drink before hurrying after Aelia, needing the extra bit of alcohol to find the courage to talk to her.

He cleared his throat a little as he moved over to stand in front of her, looking at her seriously, a million thoughts running through his head.

"I'm sorry that I upset you, Aelia.. It wasn't my intention. A lot was discussed, and some of it was a bit overwhelming, and I needed some time to collect my thoughts.." He explained, running his fingers through his hair before kneeling in front of her as he took her hands in his. "But.. While I've been trying to collect my thoughts, and reflecting on the day's events, I've realized that it's my duty to ask you to marry me." He thought he'd done a pretty decent job, considering he was drunk and bad with words, although little did he know how horrible of a proposal it was.
Helena had made her way out into the back yard, having started to follow the path to the little garden and pond that Theodore and Aelia had visited earlier. When she heard Orion coming she glanced back at him with a frown, squirming in his arms as he grabbed her and forced her to turn around.

"Let me go, Orion, I get it, you don't want to talk to me abo-" She started, although she was cut off when he kissed her, freezing in his arms as she stared up at him in shock after he pulled back and told her that he loved her.

She stared up at him with wide eyes, mouth slightly agape as a blush crept up her cheeks, although after her brain recovered a bit she cleared her throat, shaking her head a little. "Y-You're drunk, Orion.." She murmured softly, knowing it was all too good to be true, despite her own feelings for him. "It's not funny to joke around like that.."

The idea of being chased after filled Aelia's stomach with flutters. She's seen so many romantic movies where the guy would chase after the girl in the rain or at night and just take the girl. Kiss her and tell her that she was the love of his life and that he didn't want to waste another day without her. That the sun never shined as bright as their love. Or, some other kind of cheezy line that was overused.

An that was why, when Lia looked up as Theo moved to stand in front of her. Her heart started to beat at a thousand miles a second. Although, as soon as he opened his mouth, the magic seemed to disappear and Lia couldn't help but frown. "Your... duty...." She murmured quietly.

"Your duty?" She repeated as she slowly stood up, her eyes narrowed in a heavy glare as she balled her hands into fists. Aelia scuffed as she raised her right hand and smacked Theo across the face. "An it is my duty to inform you, that you are a jerk, your royal highness." She seethed and turned to storm away from him.

    --

A tired sigh escaped from Orion as he rolled his eyes and shook his head at what Helena was saying to him. His grip on her loosening a bit as he moved to have his arms wrap around her waist. Pulling her body close to his instead of just holding onto her arms like she was an object or something stupid. "I am not drunk, Helena." He murmured softly as he looked down into her eyes.

"This is the thing that was on my mind and couldn't just outright spit out." He told her. "During the meeting, I just got this huge weight lifted off of my chest. We weren't going to war. You're not going to be a prisoner of war, Something we'd have to use over their heads."

Orion lifted a hand and gently tucked some loose hair behind her ear. "You're a free Princess and I'm a free Prince, well mostly, but still! The weight of things made me realize something that I haven't been able to think of, and that's my true feelings for you. I love you. I repeat. I. Love. You."

Theodore watched as she stood up, looking shocked when she slapped him and he stormed off. He raised his hand to touch his cheek where he had been hit, watching her leave in shock before he came to his senses and stood, hurrying after her quickly.

"Aelia, wait.. I don't understand." He called after her, reaching to grab her arm to slow her down. "I.. Did I do something wrong? I thought.. I thought that you might have had feelings for me.." He frowned, looking at her worriedly.
Helena looked up at him as he spoke, her hands moving to rest against his chest as he drew her closer, shocked by his words, although she was pleasantly surprised. Tears began to well up in her eyes, smiling up at him faintly as she moved one of her hands to rest against his cheek, gently brushing her fingers over his stubble.

"No teasing..?" She asked softly, leaning her head into his hand as he tucked her hair behind her ear, her smile widening as he said that he loved her again. "I... I love you too.." She admitted softly, a blush creeping up her cheeks.

Aelia scuffed and yanked her arm from Theo's hold. Her gaze narrowed as she looked at Theo, shaking her head in disbelief. "Of course you wouldn't understand. It's your duty to have to ask things, It's your duty to think of yourself. It's your stupid duty to be an idiot!" Lia said, letting her anger get the better of her.

"I love you, Theo, I really do, but if it's your stupid duty to care for me, then I want nothing to do with you." She really wanted to add that he should shove his duty up his ass, but she kept that to herself. "Just, don't bother talking to me anymore, it's not your duty to take care of me anymore, I'm pretty sure I can handle things around here now. So just, just leave me alone."

Her anger had subsided to sorry, her heart felt like it was broken in two. There was nothing more Aelia wanted then to cover up with a warm blanket on a couch and shove ice cream into her mouth as she watched Vampire Diaries.

    --

A giant smile plastered Orion's lips as he admired the fiery-tempered girl that was in her arms. The wild personality that she held, the odd things that she enjoyed, the way that she could catch things that he thought were just normal, really amazed him. Helena was just amazing to him. He honestly did want to spend his life with her.

"Now, Helena," Orion said as he slowly let the girl go. Orion took a few steps back and got down on one knee. His eyes looking up at her. Never in his life had Orion imagined he'd be the one kneeling to someone other than his father. So, this was a very rare and odd occurrence to the young Prince. "I don't have a ring right now, but, I want you to know. That nothing in this world is as beautiful as you. An I want you to become the sun my world surrounds."

He stayed quiet to allow his words to sink in a little bit. "Marry me, Helena, please?"

Theodore frowned as she listened to her, shaking his head a little as he hurried after her. "N-No, wait.. Wait, Aelia." He took his hand again, giving her hand a little squeeze.

"I.. I'm not good with words, you know that. What I said wasn't the right thing.. I don't want to marry you because it's my duty, I want to marry you because I love you too.." He explained, looking at her worriedly, afraid she would still not want to marry him despite his apology.
Helena watched as he slowly pulled away from her, her eyes widening as he knelt down, nodding quickly as he asked her to marry him. "Yes.. Yes, of course I will, Orion.." She murmured softly, tears of happiness leaking down her cheeks before moving to wrap her arms around his neck tightly, pressing a loving kiss to his lips.

She smiled as she pulled back, looking up at him as she kept her arms around him, a small frown appearing on her features. "Will... Will your father approve?" She asked worriedly, afraid that his father would keep them from getting married.

Her head shook no, but her heart said yes. She really wanted to listen to Theo, to believe that he really did want to marry her, but. A slip of his unprincely tongue or not, Lia still wasn't sure if he really meant what he was saying to her or not.

"Talk to me when you don't smell of wine." Was all she said as she slipped her hand from his and headed into the house. Raising a hand to wipe the tears her eyes shed for her broken heart. She wasn't a toy, she wasn't just going to give in for a Prince who was trying to cover a possible slip of his lips. She needed time to think, alone anyways.

    --

A large grin appeared on Orion's lips as he heard Helena agree to be his future queen. His wife. He happily wrapped his arms back around her waist as he kissed her back, gently nibbling on her lower lip before pulling back and looking down into her eyes.

The young Prince slowly stood up but kept his arms around her small waist as he listened to her worried. "I'll handle him. Do not worry." He told her as he leaned his head down to capture her lips with his once more, wanting to taste the sweet taste that her lips could provide for him.

Theodore frowned as she shook her head, squeezing her hand desperately as he tried to protest, although he fell silent as she slipped away from him. He felt like his heart were being squeezed, feeling awful for hurting her, and wishing he could have said things differently. He slowly moved to sit on the porch, holding his head in his hands as a million thoughts ran though his head, listening to the sounds of the dinner.
Helena giggled softly as he nibbled at her lip, nodding a little as he reassured her that everything would be fine, smiling up at Orion, her Prince, her future King, her husband. Her arms wrapped around his neck as he leaned back down to kiss her, humming happily against them as she eagerly returned his kisses. "You taste of wine.." she giggled softly against his lips between kisses, her own tasting of the blueberry tarts she had enjoyed with Aelia.

The young distraught Princess walked to her room silently, being careful to not gain anyone's attention that was at dinner. Not that they would care for her anyway, it's not like she was actually related to them. Once she got to her room, Lia walked in and went out to her balcony for some air.

    --

A small hum escaped from Orion as he listened to Helena. A small grin appearing on his lips. "An you of blueberries." He murmured, then chuckled. After a few more moments, Orion pulled away from Helena. A pleased look on his face. "What kind of a ring would you like?"

Theodore took a few more moments to compose himself before heading back inside to dinner, knowing that his father would expect him to be there. He put on a polite smile as he chatted with various members of both delegations as well as his father, although every time Aelia was mentioned he said something politely dismissive and then changed the subject, not wanting to focus too much on her when her rejection was still so fresh.
Helena smiled up at him, happy to have him holding her and looking at her the way he was. She hadn't thought that something like this could have ever happened. She laughed softly as he asked her what kind of ring she wanted, shaking her head a little. "I don't need anything, Orion.. Just you." She smiled, standing up on her toes to press a gentle kiss to his cheek, her hands resting against his chest for balance.

The sound of the party in full swing caught Aelia's attention as she stood alone of the balcony. Her heart ached and tears threatened to fall down her face. She meant nothing to Theo, she always knew it. It was his duty to be around her. It was his duty to be nice, she wanted to go home. That's all she wanted right now.

    --

"That is so cheesy." Orion murmured as he turned his head to sneak a small peck from her lips. "Come, let's head back inside. It's starting to get a little cool out here." Orion said as he took s small step back. He made sure Helena wouldn't fall before he started to head her back towards the house they were staying at.

Once the party started to die down and Theodore had finished a few more drinks he went upstairs to Aelia's room, knocking on the door before drunkenly just pushing it open. "Aelia, I love you." He started, his shirt stained with wine and his eyes wide as he looked around the room before settling on her. "You know me. I wouldnt marry someone I didn't love. And yeah, part of the peace treaty is an arranged marriage between us, but if I didn't love you I wouldn't have asked you, and I know I said everything all wrong, but I want to marry the most beautiful woman I've ever met.. So please, just.. just give me a chance." He frowned, stumbling forward a bit before attempting to get down on one knee, although he only ended up falling over.
Helena laughed softly, grinning up at him as he led her back to the house. "Like you saying that I'm the sun that your world revolves around isn't cheesy." She teased, giving his hand a squeeze before stopping once they got to the porch. "After everyone has gone to bed, can we go stargazing?" She begged, looking up at him. "I never got to see the stars back home because of the city, and even in the capital it's too bright, but out here it must be perfect.."
