The sound of running water always calmed Lia down. All she needed to do when she was upset, was sit by the creeks in her homeland. Close her eyes and, just listen. Listen to the water as it babbled down the rocks. Listen to the bird's chirp and the bugs buzz around. Nature, it was always so grand to Aelia. It was mind blowing how beautiful something could stay in a world that was growing so dark.

Even now, as Aelia waited for a guy she had only met maybe once at a glance. Her nerves had been skyrocketed earlier that day. Were calm as a spring breeze. Her bare feet soaking in the cool creek water as she sat on the edge of a rock. Her eyes closed as she breathed in the clean air. She was at peace here, in her own little world. A place where she wasn't being sent off to marry some alpha to help forge an alliance. She was a wild wolf, not being held down.

The sun was high in the sky as Brian ran through the forest in his wolf form. He knew of the danger that was lurking in every corner now. Of the possibility of a hunter coming around the corner at any moment, but, he was being careful. As were all of his subordinates when he warned them about going out. His pack was always on guard, always ready for a fight if one was to come their way.

The beautiful white and greys in his fur glistened in the sunlight. He was one of the best-looking wolves around, and he was quite proud of it. Scars may line his human body, but in wolf form, he was the perfect specimen. Arriving at a clearing where he was supposed to meet someone, Brian quickly moved to a tree. Shifting to his human form and slipping on some dark pants and a shirt. Sure, he might be more comfortable with his natural body, but, being the role model for a pack, Brian knew he needed to be mature.

Cora had made her way to the clearing much earlier than she needed to, but she wanted some time to think about everything that was happening around them. She knew there was the possibility of being spotted by a hunter, since they had been closing in on the pack.

Hearing movement on the other side of the clearing, Cora stood up from the rock she was sitting on. She peaked around the tree to see a man coming out from behind another tree. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she walked out into the clearing and towards him, “You must be Brian...”

Zacky ran through the woods as he got closer to the area where he was supposed to meet Aelia. The whole arrangement was supposed to help not only his pack, but her own. His wolf form was much faster than trying to get there in his human body.

Once he got to the spot, he shifted and grabbed his pants and shirt, knowing it wouldn’t be appropriate to meet her without them. Zacky spotted her by the creek. He slowly approached her, “Aelia?”

The sound of her name being called caught Aelia's attention, causing her to open her eyes and come back to reality. "Yes?" Was her only reply, because really, how else could she reply? Oh yeah, what's up? No, that wasn't her. She was a good girl. Albeit, a bit too timid for an alpha's daughter, but she was a good girl. Lia knew how to defend herself and act in public.

"An you are... Zach?" Lia asked, pausing for a moment to make sure she remembered his name correctly. Her bright blue eyes looked up at the taller male. Taking in his physical, he seemed fit, confident, two good characteristic's for an alpha. Good, she wasn't wasting her life on a male who wasn't going to be able to protect his pack when the time needs him.

"It's uh," Lia paused, her young age showing through as she didn't really know how to continue they're talking. "Nice... to... meet you?" She let out a small nervous laugh, looking back down at the water nervously.

Quickly running his hand through his hair, Brian made sure that he looked presentable. Now, usually he really wouldn't care about how his human appearance looked, but, not today. For some reason he really wanted to impress this female, it was hard finding a female wolf anyways. Which was why, when he spotted her, he couldn't help but to try and grin.

"I am." He said as he offered her a small smile instead of his flirtatious grin. "Which must make you Cora. Correct?" He asked, arching an eyebrow to make sure that he wasn't being tricked and ended up talking to some other female. Boy, did he have too many of those moments when he was a little drunker?

Brian waited in silence as he looked towards Cora. Taking in her appearance, she seemed young, but also attractive. He just hoped that she'll grow into a well-balanced alpha female alongside him. He didn't want anyone holding him or his pack back.

Cora took her chance to look him over as he approached her. He wasn’t bad to look at, that was for sure. She could see why her father was okay with sending her off to marry him, he radiated alpha male.

“Correct, it’s nice to finally put a face to the name,” Cora said softly as she looked at him. She didn’t have much experience with anyone outside of her pack, but she knew how to carry herself and show that she was able to handle herself if need be.

Her father had made it very clear what the purpose of the arrangement was. Cora was to marry Brian in exchange for extra protection of her pack, meaning she had to pull her weight and be a suitable alpha female for him, just as she had been told all her life.

Zacky immediately got the sense that Aelia was timid, which he thought to be a bit odd for being the daughter of the alpha, but then again he didn’t know her.

“I am, it’s nice to meet you too,” Zack said, noticing how she didn’t know how to continue their conversation. He couldn’t help smiling slightly, thinking it was cute and that he’d be able to get her out of her shell as time went on.

He glanced around them, “So, what made you choose a place like this for us to meet?” Zack didn’t want to push himself on her right away, he wanted her to get comfortable around him first. He found a rock near her and sat down, thinking they could talk for a bit.

Hearing Zack speak wasn't bad. His voice was at least pleasant to listen to. That was something that Lia wasn't going to mind being married off to him. "Why I chose this place?" Lia asked, repeating his question as she swished her feet around in the water. "Isn't it obvious?"

Aelia looked up towards Zack as she rested on her hands, leaning back slightly. "It's peaceful, relaxing." She answered her own question to him. "I'm not comfortable marrying a man I don't even know, this place is my secret place. When I want to think, I come here. To think, and relax."

A small snort escaped from Brian, he couldn't help it. He found her little reply to be amusing. "Likewise." He mused as his dark chocolate colored eyes scanned the female over quickly, not being shy about checking her out. He was a dominant male, he knew what he liked.

"Have you been informed of the whole arrangement?" He asked, getting to the point of why they were meeting before they were towed and mate. His eyes shifted toward Cora's face as he watched her expressions. Wanting to get a reading on how she was reacting to everything that was going on.

Hearing Brian, Cora raised an eyebrow as she looked at him. Here she was, stuck in an opening with some man she didn’t really know and it seemed like he was amused by her. She wasn’t going to be shy as she noticed his eyes scanning over her, and couldn’t help the small grin that crossed her lips.

Cora nodded her head at Brian’s question, “I have been, my father told me all about it before I left this morning.” She wasn’t thrilled about an arranged marriage, but it was in the best interest of everyone. Part of the reason she had left so early was to wrap her head around everything.

Zacky couldn’t help smiling as Aelia spoke. Of course she would pick this place because she was comfortable there. “I understand, this isn’t the perfect way to marry someone, but things could be much worse,” Zack told her, just taking the sight before him.

Of course, Zack was under no impression that their relationship would be perfect. He did enjoy watching her, letting his eyes scan over her. Zack turned his attention to Aelia’s face, “Is there anything you want to know before all of this moves forward?” He asked her.
