    You might be drifting
    And can't find the shore
    So hopeless and all alone
The waves are crashing all around you
Just when you've lost the will to live
    You see the sun

Alora exhaled as she got into the elevator. She was alone, and she was grateful, because after an afternoon of running errands for her mother, she was glad to just have a moment of silence to herself. Placing her bags by her feet, Alora pressed the button for the ground floor, leaning against the rail, Alora ran a hand through her hair, eager to finish her task so she could get back to her own apartment and relax. Christmas was always a hectic time of year, and Alora hated being within three foot of any store when people were running blindly for the best deals.

Luke got into the elevator at the very top floor of the building the record label 5 Seconds of Summer were signed under. He was sure the label owned the entire top floor, because all over the walls were vinyls of artists that had hit platinum or gold record sales. Pressing the ground floor button, Luke tensed a little as the metal box began to move - elevators made him nervous at the best of times, because anything could go wrong, and in a building this big, Luke was sure that if the cables gave in, he'd fall to his death. Shaking the thought out of his head, Luke toyed with his lower lip, wishing he had taken the stairs but grateful that he didn't, because he was too tired from travelling. Looking as his elevator came to a halt a few floors later, Luke stayed put as the doors opened, staring at his feet.

Calum shifted nervously as he waited for the elevator. He knew he should have taken the stairs, but he was honestly too tired to deal with it. When the bell dinged signaling the elevator’s arrival, he couldn’t help but jolt slightly, his nerves getting the better of him. Spotting a woman inside, he did his best to hide his fear and to try to not think about all the terrible things that could go wrong and stepped into the elevator, anxious.

Sybil yawned quietly, feeling her exhaustion catching up with her. She tried to remind herself that she’d be home soon, though, and perked up a bit when the elevator arrived. Stepping inside, she offered a smile to the man there, though she noticed he wasn’t paying attention, and she moved to lean against the wall, waiting and trying to relax while she got the chance.

Alora lifted her gaze as the elevator dinged, and she offered a small smile to the golden skinned man that stepped inside, clearly nervous and tired, something that Alora could resonate with. "Long day?" Alora asked, leaning against the railing as she studied the man, tattooed and handsome. "You look... stressed." Alora grinned.

Luke, as the doors closed, lifted his gaze to the beautiful woman that had stepped on board, and the blond man decided pretty instantly that if the elevator cables did snap, she would be the most beautiful thing to see before he died. Grinning to himself with the thought, Luke exhaled. "I can't wait to get out of this death trap." He confessed to the woman. "Hate 'em."

Calum looked over at Alora when he heard her speak, and he shook his head, trying to breathe out, trying to calm himself down. “Sorry, I just… I’m not very good with elevators,” he tried to explain, frowning to himself before he looked to the doors.

Sybil’s expression softened as she watched him for a few moments. “I’m sorry,” she murmured quietly, watching him with concern, “Is there anything I can do to help? Anything at all?”
