Prompt: Just Write

ONE: While many people have internal demons, haunting their dreams and everyday life, you have actual demons and spirits in your head. Your brain has been haunted. However, they aren’t trying to make your life miserable, only a little more interesting.

TWO: A theory has been created called the Time-Sleeve Theory, in which people theorize what happens if time and space were turned inside out, like a sleeve. Today time and space has turned itself inside out.

THREE: Jesus has already reincarnated several times. However upon seeing what their work has done, their soul gained depression. They now stick to the sidelines and act as regular people with minimum wage jobs. One day, he decides to finally get some help. You are his therapist.

FOUR: It’s a hazy day out, so you decide to just stay at home, drink some wine, and relax in the cozy atmosphere of your apartment. Then, not even 5 minutes into your self declared “me day,” you hear a knock on your door. You go to open it and see a flustered, slightly grungy young man holding a bouquet of roses. “God,” he says, smiling a bit. “You’re as beautiful as the day I killed you.”

FIVE: You’re a god/goddess, working in the shadows to keep humanity alive. Very few know your name, even less worship you for what you do, and you’re tired of doing your job with no recognition. Tell the story of how you make your actions as obvious as possible, to gain followers.

SIX: You got a hell-hound puppy for Christmas. Describe your adventures with your loyal, four-legged new friend.

SEVEN: You wish to become irresistibly attractive to your soulmate, whoever that might be. Too bad your soulmate isn’t human.

EIGHT: Every earthquake is just the earth yawning. One day, she sneezes.

NINE: Religious people grow distinguishing features that are related to their religions, e.g. Pagans grow antlers and Christians grow wings. Some people convert to religions specifically to receive these features. Write about your life in this world.

TEN: Write a story about the epic final battle in a city between superhero and supervillain - but from the inconvenienced civilian’s point of view.

ELEVEN: You live in a world where reincarnation is common and expected, but it cannot happen unless your past life has faded from living memory. Last time you were alive, you fell in love with an immortal who swore they would never forget you. You have just been reincarnated.

TWELVE: You’ve just been hired to find the murderer of a crime you committed five years ago.

THIRTEEN: You are in a Russian roulette tournament as the body count rises you keep on winning from luck. The next person you are up against is really superstitious with things and keeps a dozen lucky things on them. All the people they have faced have gotten shot the first turn. It’s your turn next.

FOURTEEN: One day, the world receives a message from God. By popular demand (whatever that means), the Earth will be converted from a sphere to a flat plane. The nations of the world will meet in one week to decide on the kind of map projection that will be used when converting to a flat Earth. Describe what happens at the meeting.

FIFTEEN: In a universe where reincarnation is a thing, you somehow always remember your past lifes. You have just met your soul mate again. They never remember you, but every single time you fall in love all over again. Write them a letter.
