Calum made his way into the vet’s office with Duke; he was worried, because Duke was scratching at his ears quite a bit, so he assumed Duke had an ear infection and wanted to make sure he got proper treatment. He’d called ahead of time to set up an appointment, so, when he arrived, he made his way over to sign Duke in before he peered around for somewhere to sit.

Iris ran her fingers through her puppy, Lucio’s, fur, the miniature pinscher peering around with curiosity. Today was meant for Lucio’s first round of shots and, admittedly, Iris was nervous about it, not wanting to see Lucio in pain, but she held to his leash while he roamed around near her, sniffing and trying to get other animals in the vet’s office to play with him.

"Come on, Julian." Talia whistled to her Great Dane puppy, laughing as the three foot mess of legs came tumbling towards her as fast as he could. Julian had been a birthday present for Talia, from her parents, and she could honestly say he was the best gift she'd ever received. She'd called ahead of time to book Julian in for his first boosters - Talia being more anxious than Julian - so as soon as she'd signed him in, she went to find a seat, somewhere where the giant pup couldn't be too much of an issue to other dog owners. Finding a seat in the corner, Talia sat down, smiling as Julian settled, looking around to find a new playmate.

Luke smiled at the familiar receptionist as he walked into the vets office, Petunia following behind him reluctantly. The dog had had surgery, and it was time to remove her stitches and get her checked over before she got the all clear. For the time she was recovering, Luke would openly admit that she had been spoiled - more so than usual, complete with treats, nights spent on the bed with himself, and lay ins in the morning. Luke couldn't even believe he had so much love for a dog. Still, as Luke went to find a seat, he studied the room carefully - a few cats in crates here, a hamster there, and then a beautiful miniature pinscher puppy came into sight, and Luke was sure he could feel his face light up. Looking to the puppy's human though, Luke's heart almost stopped when he saw a beautiful redhead, and smiling, he offered her a nod.

Calum looked over when he spotted a rather large puppy, surprised with the sight of it. He could admit he’d never actually seen a Great Dane in person, not even a puppy, and Duke seemed just as curious about the puppy as Calum felt about it. Still, his gaze lifted and he was even more surprised and curious with the sight of the Great Dane’s owner. She was gorgeous in every way, and she looked nervous, but he wondered if something was wrong or if she was just worried about her puppy getting shots or something. “You okay?” he called out to her quietly, watching her, unable to help himself, because she had his attention and he wasn’t going to fight it.

Iris watched Lucio with a smile, enjoying seeing how happy and excited and playful the pup was - the tiny thing was the most energetic thing she’d ever witnessed, and it always filled her with joy to witness it. As the pup grew curious, though, he began exploring, moving to greet other animals - some were welcoming, others weren’t, - and he stopped at a beautiful dog, his tail wagging excitedly as he tried to play. Iris watched, though her gaze lifted to the owner, and she paused with surprise, seeing the man’s attention already on her, but the sight of him, of how handsome he was, caused her cheeks to warm.

Talia shifted with her own anxiety and almost felt like laughing at herself - why would she be so nervous? Julian would certainly be fine. Hearing a voice call out to her, Talia lifted her gaze and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear as her eyes met the eyes of a beautiful man with a cheeky smile and a tiny dog that Julian would definitely squish. "He's getting his first boosters." Talia pouted a little, hinting to Julian. "What're you here for? He's a cutie." Talia grinned, hinting to Duke.

Luke grinned with pride as he watched the red head's cheeks taint red, but his attention redirected to her dog as he came over, attempting to get Petunia to play with him. "You're a lively one, eh?" Luke kneeled down, scratching behind the pup's ears, looking for a seat and finding himself absolutely delighted when the only seat available was next to the red head. Offering her a smile, Luke lead Petunia over. "Hiya," Luke greeted happily, running a hand through blonde, unkempt curls. "He's a cutie." He hinted down to Lucio. "I don't think Petunia is that eager to play though, she's fat and lazy." Luke joked, offering a bright eyed grin to Iris then. "I'm Luke, Petunia's Dad."

Calum smiled slightly as he listened to Talia speak, unable to help it, and he shrugged. “He had a bit of an ear infection,” he explained as he watched her, “Poor pup, I bet you’ll spoil him like crazy after he gets his shots out of the way, huh?” And he couldn’t say he blamed her, finding himself grinning with the thought.

Iris offered an amused look as she watched and she nodded slightly. “Sorry, I hope he’s not being a bother,” she said, “That’s Lucio. I’m Iris.” She watched for a moment, trying not to admire the man, but honestly, it was kind of impossible. Still, she nodded and moved over to scoop Lucio up so he wouldn’t bother Petunia anymore.
