As the class filled the room, Natasha closed her book, getting herself ready for today's lecture. She was a little curious as to why Professor Martin wanted to know if she was working in the library today or not, but she didn't read into it too much. She just focused on the lecture, taking some incredible notes.

Charlie went through his lecture at his normal pace. He was impressed by the questions he was asked. As he finished he packed up his things, and dismissed the class, giving them the required reading for his next lecture.

He looked up as the class began slowly filing back out of his room. Today's lecture had been pretty simple, mostly introductory. He smiled at Natasha, "I'll see in the library later," he said softly before he left the lecture hall.

At the end of her lecture, Natasha gathered up her belongings, shyly smiling when Professor Martin said that he would see her later in the library.

Later that day, Natasha was exactly where she said she would be - in the library. She was tucked away in a corner, standing on a stepstool, reorganizing some of the books. She was in her own little world.

Charlie headed up to his office and set his things down. He pulled up his list of books that he needed for his article, and stripped out of his blazer. He spent the morning working away slowly, as the afternoon rolled around he decided he should go check the library.

He found his way to the library and made his way to the counter. "Hi I was hoping to speak with Natasha," he said softly.

The young girl at the counter looked to the professor and blushed. She nodded. "She's in the back putting books away." She told him.

In the back, Natasha was still on the stepstool, putting books away on the higher shelves. She hummed lightly to herself.

Charlie smiled softly, "thank you," he said calmly. He made his way out the back, where he'd been directed. He spotted Natasha up on the stepstool, looking so beautiful.

"Natasha," he called as he approached, hoping to not scare her.

Natasha jumped a little when she heard Professor Martin's voice. She remained calmed, knowing that was standing on a stepstool.

"Hi Professor Martin."

Charlie chuckled softly seeing her jump, 'sorry didn't mean to scare you,' he said gently. His eyes traced over her legs, in her small skirt, it was quite a sight with her on the stool.

He sighed softly, "I was wondering if you could help me find some books, maybe show me your favourite book too," he said lightly.

Natasha looked to him, and smiled. "Oh, of course." She spoke softly. 'Let me just finish this real quick." She turned her back from him for a second, placing the rest of the books on the shelves.

Once she was done, Natasha slowly stepped down from the stool. "What books are you looking for?" She asked shyly.

Charlie smiled, standing back and watching her in silence for awhile. When she hopped down, he moved down the aisle a bit. He smiled, and told her which books he was after, they were both History related.

He moved closer to her, and looked her over, "so how is everything?" he asked her.

Natasha nodded, quickly thinking where the books where that the Professor was looking for. As she began walking down the aisle, heading to the right location for his book choice, she could feel her cheeks turning a slight pink flushed color.

When he asked her how everything was, Natasha looked to him and blushed a little deeper for a moment. "Um, everything is good." She said quickly, turning away to focus on the books.

Charlie noticed her blush, but decided not to mention it. He smiled softly, "I'm glad everything is good, thank you for helping me," he said softly.

He looked up as they entered into a very secluded and rarely frequented part of the library. "So are you going to let me know what book in here, is your favorite?" he asked her softly as he moved closer to her.

Natasha looked to the professor and blushed a little. She turned her head a little as she focused on the books, trying to calm herself. "What's my favorite book." She said as she finally looked back to him. "Well." She said as she took a small breath in then out. "My favorite classic book is Pride and Prejudice." She said with a smirk. "I know that's a typical classic for every girl to love." She laughed lightly.

Charlie smiled softly, "well that is certainly a good book, do you know if the library has an early edition of it?" he asked her curious. He moved through the isle slowly, his eyes looking over her petite form, she really was beautiful. He sighed gently, as they made it to the shelf that contained the book he was looking for.

When he asked if there were any first editions, Natasha took a minute. She knew this answer, so why was it so hard for her to answer the professor. She took a deep breath, clearing her mind from any thoughts that she had. Swiftly making her way through the aisle of the library, Natasha decided to take him to the collection of first books. "Here are all the first editions." She smiled

Charlie followed behind her, watching her closely. He'd pulled the book he needed off the shelf, and was holding it carefully in his hands. "Wow, this is quite the collection," he said in awe, as he saw all the first editions. He smiled at her, "it's almost as impressive as you," he teased.

Natasha smiled as she watched his professor in awe over the first editions. When she heard his comment about her, Natasha couldn't help but blush a little. She didn't know what to say and wasn't even sure if she heard him correctly. "Oh..." She finally responded.

Charlie looked at her, noticing her slight blush. He paused for a moment thinking, before smiling at her, "so um..." he began, suddenly feeling awkward. "...is that offer for coffee, still on the table?" he asked.

He had resigned himself to the fact that he was attracted to her, he'd just have to be careful and make sure things were handled appropriately.

Smiling, Natasha looked away for a moment. She couldn't believe that she was having the opportunity to have coffee with her professor. Looking back to him finally, she nodded. "Of course." She said, answering his question.

Charlie couldn't help but grin, when she agreed. He looked her over again, boy was he setting himself up for disaster. He looked back to her eyes, "okay, that sounds awesome, let me know when," he said lightly.
